Door to the garden
Tumblr media
Door to the garden. It is its own green world there. It is huge. And endless. And world of endless summer. And such old door. Magical wooden door. Little door is little broken. It is such and old door. And magical world of summer.
Lets go to the garden! Lets go and see what is there! There are lots of everything green! This is amazing place. There are lots of green plants. Bush. Grass.
Door to the garden. This is so magical! As a door to magical summer for a schoolboy. Every summer I always run to the countryside. When I was a schoolboy. And I spent all summer there. And it was so interesting there! Everything is green. And I remember a lot that garden.
So this is that little door, which I was searching for a long time!

The Agony in the Garden
Artist: Doménikos Theotokópoulos (El Greco) (Greek, 1541-1614)
Date: c. 1608
Medium: Oil on canvas
Collection: Museum of Fine Arts, Budapest, Hungary
The Agony in the Garden | Luke 22:44
The painting depicts the last night of Christ on the Mount of Olives. In the foreground the tired pupils are sleeping, their unnaturally rigid robes refer to the wax models which the aged master used. Above them Christ is kneeling while an angel appears. The scene is a grassy clearing which looks like to be a lighted stage. In the background the soldiers are gathering.

I’m not saying this to be obnoxious I’m just saying it’s so interesting how different some fans are and the generations they come from bc I literally forget Christian Borle is in Hazbin Hotel most of the time 😭 like I literally never think about it. Seeing him wear a HH t-shirt I was like wait what how does he know about that show??? BRO HE’S FUCKING IN IT!!!!! Like I am so of a different world I guess. Meanwhile there are fans of Christian who were INTRODUCED to him from watching Hazbin Hotel and have never seen him in anything else 😭 like they didn’t know he’s a two-time Tony-award winning Broadway actor. And that’s fine, we all come from different backgrounds and generations and specific interests!!!! it’s just wild and interesting how expansive his career is that one fan of his could be a huge bway person and the other is just really into one specific animated tv show but they’re both standing on line to meet him at a COMIC convention of all places because this man just does fucking everything that appeals to the masses ig

I look at the one red smile. The red of the smile is the same as the red of the tulips in Serena Joy's garden, toward the base of the flowers where they are beginning to heal. The red is the same but there is no connection. The tulips are not tulips of blood, the red smiles are not flowers, neither thing makes a comment on the other. The tulip is not a reason for disbelief in the hanged man, or vice versa. Each thing is valid and really there. It is through a field of such valid objects that I must pick my way, every day and in every way. I put a lot of effort into making such distinctions. I need to make them. I need to be very clear, in my own mind.
--The Handmaid's Tale, Margaret Atwood
---------------------------------
She thought, hard. Her day had been bitty, but full of things: Stephanie, Calverley Minster, Racine, the moorland, Ed, Alexander. Taken together, as they undoubtedly could be, these things had alarming aspects. If, for instance, you took the bad pictures of Daniel, and related them to Vénus toute entière, and that to Ed, and Ed's hot swollen tongue to the donkey's hot swollen tool, and those to Alexander, and if, for another elaboration you pressed, in a military sense, the Cathy-Heathcliff aspects of moorland, the crude Freudian view of the upthrust of the spire of Calverley Minster, you had what could be called an organic image that was, there was no question, extremely depressing, if undoubtedly powerful.
But if you kept them separate. If you kept them separate, in many ways you saw them more truly. [...]
One could let all these facts and things lie alongside each other like laminations, not like growing cells.
--The Virgin in the Garden, A.S. Byatt

went out into the garden and noticed:
a) the fox has re-dug the hole under the fence we filled in last week and
b) there is now a leather tool belt that I've never seen before lying in the garden
conclusion: the fox has stolen our neighbour's tool belt and given it to us?
