Recovery is weird. Not bad, just weird. I was feeling a lot of things when I first showed up here. I was on edge and confused, I didn't understand why I couldn't remember my life, and why I wasn't in Gotham. Then somebody inside explained it to me, and I took it better than I expected to.

Then again, considering the whole "Red Hood" thing, I shouldn't be too surprised. I've been through weirder.

I started making friends after settling down a little. In an Arcane server. Of all places for a Jason Todd fictive to frequent, you wouldn't really expect that to be one of them. But I hung out and chatted there a lot, and I figured out a pretty crucial part of my timeline that led a Jinx fictive friend of mine to inviting me to a smaller server full of people who had timelines with relationship dynamics similar to mine.

I made more friends there. They helped me through some tough shit. Generally bad days, a few breakdowns, a rough situationship breakup, and then forcing the entire system to step away from some pretty toxic people.

I kept recovering through all of that, though, and it really paid off. I wasn't necessarily unstable before, but I feel stable now. Solid. Like I have somewhere to really put down roots again since I got plucked from Gotham. I have a wingmate that I love and can't wait to be around more, I've got good friends that I talk to regularly, and I get to protect people again both in and out of system.

We've still got some work to do in terms of getting out of our current living situation and into a better one, so I'm not entirely satisfied or content with where we're at, but I'm happy. I'm stable, I'm working on getting us out of here, and I've got people to lean on again. I'm happy.

something strange is that whenever I get fictionkin shifts as twisted pebble, I get the urge to bite and bark at people for some reason.

I also just get the urge to run and jump around, but this is usually when I have high energy.
