I had so much fun with this custom! Definitely had some hiccups here and there...pretty much right at the end which was a bummer... but I'm obsessed with her! I have a couple more MH X LPS customs I'm itching to start when I get the time!

#monster high #monster high gen 1 #littlest pet shop #lps custom #clawdeen wolf #toralei stripe #toradeen #id in alt #i love her with all my heart my god did i have a hard time towards the end of the project lol #all of the painting went really really well #i had a little trouble with the eyes initially cuz i used the wrong kinda paint but overall it was a great time #of course up until i finished it all and it was time to seal the paint #i use a good matte varnish but the problem was i forgot to water it down #so it kinda globbed up and dried really unevenly...she has some white spots where it pooled and dried #annoying and i was mildly devastated but you cant really tell #getting her head back on though....MY GOD #i couldn't get it back on for the life of me...i almost damaged the neck peg and absolutely destroyed the paint job on her chest #finally resorted to boiling water and that worked #then i had to try to mix up a fresh batch of paint to match as close as possible to her fur color #which i wasnt super successful at...but i was so over it at that point #i still love how she came out but im still so shook at how it fell apart right at the end #next one i do im not separating the head from the body fuck that lol #so yeah those were the trials and tribulations of this project #there are so many id like to do but im kinda limited by the blank lps molds i can find on aliexpress

Gwenpool is a conceptually depressing as fuck character

She's fully aware she's in a fictional setting beholden to narrative forces, but unlike characters like Deadpool, she doesn't have the same degree of brand power proppering her up, so she's constantly aware that she's one bad day away from being written out of canon

Gwenpool, as upbeat as she generally is, is a character with a much firmer understanding of her own mortality than most other Marvel characters and it is constantly weighing on her

Gwenpool Strikes Back was basically one massive, desperate, manic episode-induced attempt to stay alive, and despite her being retconned as a mutant being presented as a way to secure her more appearances by making her easier to write, but as far as I'm aware, other than her short Love Unlimited comic and a lego camdo, she hasn't made any appearances since

Sure, the ending of the Unbelievable Gwenpool doubles as the end pf Gwenpool as a character, showing her making peace with her nature as a character through how she lives every time someone reads her comics, but with the current body of work associated with her, that just means Gwen is stuck in an existential purgatory forever fearing an ending that will never truly come

#she gave her adorable pet landshark to Deadpool so that he'd have a chance to keep making new appearances even if she never appears again #and the depressing thing is it worked #at this point jeff has had more appearances than she ever will #gwen poole is in some ways a very depressing take on the isekai protagonist #gwenpool #gwen poole

Louie again ❤️ We recently adopted him. He’s deaf and has mild cerebellar hypoplasia but he is happy and he is the loveliest guy around, extremely loving and cuddly 😊 So happy he joined my family
