i first got exposed to DC through danny phantom crossovers with the young justice cartoon and from there i started to get into yj. i got to know of the batfamily through these crossover fics but when i was still in my young justice phase I was mainly interested in dick grayson fics (mainly birdflash ovo).

I think I also got interested in teen titans, again from crossover fics (yj x tt) and I read some fics along those lines. after that I got into other fandoms for a while and didn't really touch batman for a while.

I don't exactly remember the exact way i got there (probably revisiting dp and yj fics), but I think it was this fic where i started to get interested in the batfamily as a whole and the lore that followed. from there this has consumed my attention for the last couple months

anyway this was just the convoluted way I came across this fandom, just thought it was interesting

i wonder what other ways people have stumbled upon this fandom

oh yeah, since i've been rewatching the episodes for that counting thing, and i've also been rewatching them again since i got my sister to start watching kj with me, i noticed that there's a LOT of small details that they added

the first few things that come to mind are the treasure shadow being after in his debut episode being the gemini crown, and funnily enough, shadow and rose themselves are geminis! you also wanna know what the gemini zodiac sign typically represents? twins! little interesting piece of foreshadowing there

another thing is that in the opening of the diamond and the queen of tears, it states that treasures were being destroyed, but specifically, all of those treasures happened to be silver. this of course is a not so obvious reference to silver heart. it's really cool how they thought so far ahead...
