If you love Disney, its parks, its media, and its merch, listen up.

So I work for Disneyland, and we are talking about striking very soon. So soon, in fact, that we've been hosting rallies just outside of the parks. Yesterday was the 69th birthday of Disneyland Anaheim... it was also a monumental rally.

I haven't seen anyone on tumblr talking about the impending strikes against Disney. Not even going through the Disney tags or searching tumblr for "Disneyland Strike."

Let's talk about why we're striking:

Cost of living in the immediate SoCal region is nearly 2x as much as we are getting paid.

Cast members that have worked for the company for long periods of time are still paid as mucha s new hires.

Disney has showed up to union negotiations with insulting offers, including at 25 cent raise. Most cast members make $19.90

Disney rarely schedules you. In some areas and departments, you are fighting with your fellow cast members for hours. I have heard of cast members who are only scheduled for 1 4-hour shift per week. Many of those cast members have upwards of an hour commute to and from work.

Disney Admin has told attractions castmembers [so: rides, rollercoasters, and anything fun you get to do and see at the parks] that we are losing them money, which is why they refuse to schedule us and pay us. In the words of my partner, who also works at the parks, Disney without attractions is an over glorified mall and a food court. Disney needs us, and they know it, but they do not respect us.

Disney has an unfair attendance policy. It can be very difficult to get a needed day off, even when it has been requested weeks or months in advance. When you do take a day off [with-out accrued sick or vacation time] it counts against you. You can have 3 a month, 6 in 90 days, 9 in 180 days, or 12 in a year. How do you accrue sick/vacation? Hours worked, which can be impossible with the scheduling practices mentioned above. (Most cast members trade shifts among themselves to get around this.)

Cast members feel unsafe and unsupported in the parks. Many cast members have felt threatened by entitled guests upset that they are following policy. Disney Leads and Managers have to say yes to these guests and make things happen, though. [Which only makes this behavior worse and more dangerous for cast members who are only doing their job.]

Cast members also report feeling threatened, or even being literally threatened, by management in the parks. Especially cast members who have a second job. Especially cast members who know their rights.

Further, cast members work in hazardous conditions with pay that does not reflect that. Many cast members report losses of hearing, sore throats, and severe back and shoulder pain. Cast members are also exposed to infectious diseases at a much higher rate.

Minimum of 100 words — 1 USD / 50php

For every +100 words you would like to add to the minimum word count, that is 1 USD / 50php. So 1k words = 10 USD. 2k words = 20 USD.

For every +100 words you would like to add to the minimum word count, that is 1.5$ / 75php. 1k words = 15 USD. 2k words = 30 USD.

If you would like your explicit content to come with some sfw scenes for build up, please tell me so we can negotiate! You can indicate a minimum word count for sfw scenes, as well as a minimum word count for explicit scenes so you can save some money !! After the final piece is sent, the client may request minor revisions. Major revisions, depending on how much is to be changed, may cost extra.

Methods of Payment:

After showing the client the initial draft (minimal editing, mostly only there to get a grasp for the plot/feel of the piece, is usually only 1/2 or 2/3 of the total word count) for suggestions and corrections, 50% of the total price should be sent for me to continue.

I will not be taking commissions for characters with full body armor, furries, or anything out of my ability. After the final piece is sent, the client may request minor revisions. Major revisions, depending on their severity, may cost extra.

Have patience if you plan to commission me. These commissions are heavy on the details, so the more detailed your character = the longer it may take. Completion time varies according to details of the commission + my own personal circumstances (being that I have a legit irl job lol) Completion could take up to 30 days after the sketch has been approved, so manage your expectations.

Final work will include a version with the background & UI details, and a transparent version with only your character. The files will be sent after it has been paid in full, via gmail or gdrive.

You may post your commission wherever you want (as long as it is for non-commercial use only). When posting the version with the full background, do not erase or crop out my watermark. If you will be using the png version (that doesn't have a watermark) remember to credit me when you use it.

Full refunds will no longer be issued after the sketch has been approved, unless I am the one cancelling the commission.

If the client does not respond within 20 days after i send an update on the commission, then I will consider the commission completed at whatever state it is at at that point of time.

So about your KND Mourning Au, how would the 3 react to Decommissioning? Because they’re not just leaving their memories of the organization behind, they’re leaving them behind. Leaving each-other behind. Would they try to escape or accept their fate? And if they’re gone,who would take care of the graves?

(Particularly like this one because I've only barely opened up about this topic, I was a bit hesitant because this would lead to future spoilers.)

Decommissioning was mentioned by Patton on his interaction with Jeremiah back up in Moonbase, This option was obviously considered due to the effects that Sector PHP left on their fellow operatives.

The only person who was aware of the threat was Tyler, he had received multiple warnings because of aggressive behavior and unsavory malpractice as a member of the KND.

He violated a few rules in which one of them was to not hurt fellow operatives to the point of mental or physical endangerment.

We can see how aggressive and unhealthy habits formed in the sector the deeper the rabbit hole goes, Not just them but for other operatives as well.

Because of this, Sector PHP had been seriously considered to be on the border of being decommissioned. If not handled the situation correctly, They will be sought out by Moonbase operatives themselves to be forcefully decommissioned.

Tyler would do everything he can to avoid that from happening, making fake reports and truces yet he always fails to follow through with them at the very end.

Now, if decommissioning were to actually happen to them then the only questions remaining would be;

Would they still be able to remember Mella and Evan? Or would they be leaving them behind for good?

Well not exactly, Because if they were capable enough then all three of them will be taken up to be TND operatives.

Yet there would be more conditions in order for them to continue; But mainly is to get better.

The very memories of Mella and Evan will not be erased even if they were decommissioned permanently.

They just won't be seen as KND members anymore and will be remembered to be childhood friends long lost.

This will not change the pain they left behind but it will be less likely to be remembered as misery in the long run.

The Influence of Japan Surplus to Filipino Doll Collectors

These are photos of dolls I bought, was gifted, or grew up with; their common denominator being Japan Surplus as their provenance.

If you are a Filipino Gen Z doll collector like me who's been in the hobby since childhood, then finding dolls in Japan Surplus shops is a common knowledge. The evolution of acquiring being a novelty item brought back by a returning relative who worked in the land of the rising sun, to visiting newly opened Japan Surplus establishments, and now (more than a decade later), shop owners selling live through online videos.

One would often find display dolls in traditional Japanese or European costumes enclosed in large glass cases. These are typically in "almost new" conditions except for having collected a few dust bunnies to be chased out when bought. This is because of multiple factors such as (1) these dolls aren't for playing, but part of rituals, specifically during the Hinamatsuri Festival where female children are gifted dolls, (2) the Japanese culture of being neat and taking care of their belongings, (3) the well known fact of their smaller living spaces, and if I remember correctly, (4) grown up women who are marrying are expected to give up their childhood keepsakes as the dolls' purpose has been fulfilled. I suggest to read more about Hinamatsuri Festival as it is a beautiful part of their culture. Before, dolls were even floated on the river, but due to the environmental harm that practice causes, the boats full of dolly passengers are now brought back to land after the event. This doll river ceremony has, from my rabbit hole researches, Chinese origins.

During the 2010s when I was still in High School, my mom would often take me to go shopping in Japan Surplus shops. I remember she bought herself two large Ningyos and me three porcelain dolls still intact with their certificates in their boxes. As the bunch was quite pricey, my mom signed up for a short layaway. This was the first time I encountered the process, which was surprisingly a common thing for Japanese doll vendors as their dolls typically cost multiple times than a regular Barbie in the mall. Since college (2015ish), my fellow collectors and I do layaways of higher end collectibles like Ball Jointed Dolls as their minimum prices are in 250$ (approx. 13000 PhP) range, and our market scope of Japanese doll hunting expanded to international online shops like Mandarake, Amiami, or even adding Azone International or Volks Dollfie Salon in the itinerary when in a vacation to Japan.

Due to Japan's high rate of commercial item production, they have a proportionally high rate of decluttering. However, disposal of unwanted items in Japan imposes fees, hence, it shifted to a business type of solution and that is how these dolls found their way onto ships and trucks going into the Philippine homes.

27 horses where found dead on a San Joaquin woman’s properties. 4 more horses and a bull had to be but down due to the condition they were in. The 16 of the survivors are being taken in by Oakdale Equine Rescue, their expecting 60 more.

The rescue is all ready getting calls to see if the horses are available , they’re not, most of the horses are in triage, they’re evidence in a criminal investigation and they are currently property of the county.

People are also demanding information which is understandable, but they are evidence in an ongoing criminal investigation.

It’s unknown if there’s going to be any more fatalities.
