This!! I would be happy to take a train to Phoenix to see relatives rather than drive (and with airline prices plus having to drive an hour to get to the airport two hours minimum ahead of my flight, shit by the time I land at Sky Harbor I'd usually be hitting Tucson via car) AND connecting the Las Cruces/El Paso area to the Albuquerque/Santa Fe area would mean a lot more trips up north for me, too. A T or C stop would be awesome, I love the hot springs.

I know (one of?) the reasons why trains don't stop in Phoenix anymore and I hate it. I took the light rail in the Phoenix Metro area when I've gone to concerts & PhxCC and it was so convenient!

The southwest desperately needs more passenger trains, and by more "passenger trains" I mean ANY passenger trains. There's just nothing here! There are rail lines, but they don't interconnect the southwest. They will connect the west to the east, but never the west to the west. For instance, I cannot take a train from where I live in El Paso, Texas to Denver, Colorado. Hell, there isn't even a route between El Paso and Albuquerque! It's absolutely pitiful!
