Happy National Opossum Day and Mutation Day to my one and only son Pico UwU

He was in the tree tops when he ate an oozesquito that ended up transforming him into this bigger form. The branch supporting him couldn't hold his weight so it snapped off and he fell, hitting his head on a rock below and giving him a nasty head wound. So he's disoriented, scared, hungry, and injured while he makes his way through the woods. Until he's caught digging through the trash by the dog sanctuary by Todd and passes out shortly after.

I think Luci has become so much of a recurring figure in his life that he can't just ignore her if she were ever in trouble whether he wants to or not, i think it's that older brother protective instinct in him that he cant help but act upon.

He'd be damn if something happened to her cuz she's important to his sister and Bao so kinda begrudgingly would have to defend her in some form. But I'm thinking the best way he can do that is bribe some birds or little forest critters on his behalf to mess with or torture (or crap on lmao) the person that was being a douche to her. That way Luci sees this happening and she doesn't immediately connect it back to Pico cuz he doesn't want her to think that he's totally not concerned for her or anything pssh lmao

I’ve been thinking on Pico and Luci’s dynamic and how it reminds me of how siblings are, specifically the no one gets to mess with this person except only me type of vibe. So I was wondering how’d Luci react to seeing someone else mess with Pico, maybe in a way that gives off such yikes vibes.

As you know, Luci blows up at everyone (exceptions being Repo, Bao, and Clem; ignore Mama Char, I haven't drawn out Luci's feelings on her yet lol) like fricking EXPLODES at people who annoy her most of the time I think she would do the same to whoever would be messing with Pico, but would excuse it as her finding the other person to be too loud or something. And do some back-handed comments like "How could you let someone like that mess with you?"

But for people giving off such yikes vibes like you ask specifically... I think she'd stare in shocked irritation before absolutely rocking their shit lmao, especially since this is post-truce agreement. And if she's unable to physically get them, she'd shout some obscene things until they'd back off

After the fact, I think she'd be more open in looking out for him, but still not something she'd say outright. She's not a good comforter (she's got too many issues for that lol) so she's better as a defender than dealing with others' emotions.

The Goth Punks live together in an abandoned warehouse that’s been modified for survival use. This, of course, excludes Spike and Pierre who ran away upon immediate revival.

Their utilities are powered by Cassandra’s magic, not any outside interference like the government considering no one owns, nor tries to own the warehouse because of “dangers”. Cassandra is in charge of the basic utilities, but Damien powers any biotech and magic experiments he does. That also includes his transformation devices given to the four living outside the house.

Damien and Cassandra even live at opposite sides of the house due to easy conflict between each other. Cyril and Shinobi act as mediators but ultimately side with the redhead. They mostly keep Damien for her smarts and because they feel they could “tame” her with promises of his “obsession”. Darcy keeps to himself and only follows Cassandra, like during hits or to settle disputes he tries to stay out of.

Spike and Pierre ran away and moved in together immediately to protect each other from the Goth Punks. They’re the only ones who thought Cassandra would quickly betray anyone who doesn’t follow her. Over time, they relaxed on that thought and got back in contact with Cyril, soothing their worries but still not going back to join the group. They still feel like they can only trust themselves as orphans who relied on each other from the beginning.

You wouldn’t catch them dead saying this, but Shinobi teases Darcy because of their crush on him. They like how rude the man is, weirdly enough. Cyril does find him cute, but thinks Shinobi deserves better. She even admits this to both them and Cassandra.

Spike and Pierre have had a strange relationship for a few weeks by the beginning of the story.
