Gamer Ranking
(Modern au / any au where they’re given access to video game consoles really)
Abella: A hardcore nostalgia gamer. Only plays on PC (built it herself). Bethesda hater and still won’t let it go. Has a picture of Todd Howard in her desk drawer with his eyes cut out. Her favorite series is fallout and has a solid year worth of time spent on New Vegas alone. Well known in the TF2 community. Used to have a competitive record in Tetris, but lost her touch from spending too much time at work. Favorite games are factorio, subnautica and terraria.
August: Calls every console a ‘Nintendo’. Calls on Abella for help with his computer frequently. It’s still on windows 7. Favorite game is solitaire.
Daan: Wouldn’t call himself a ‘gamer’, but has a steam account which he opens once in a while. Prefers narrative based horror games or puzzle games. Never spends more than 7 dollars on a game. Favorite games are bioshock, disco elysium, signalis and pathologic.
Henryk: Likes to dip his toes into a little bit of everything, but never able to get into the gamer scene. Owns a perfectly good PS4 that sits neglected and unused. Likes to talk about the nostalgia of his favorite games when he was younger and how modern games aren’t as fun. He also just has no taste. Favorite games are detroit: become human, fallout 4, borderlands, until dawn, bully and minecraft (the type of guy who always wants to make a big group world, and then when it’s made he never uses it). Abella trashes his collection.
Karin: Runs every game on her shitty company work laptop. Likes roguelikes, or any game that has a satisfying ‘tactile’ feeling game loop. A big resident evil fan, but they make her computer ‘make weird noises’. Favorite games are: Ultrakill, pizza tower, project zomboid, and multiplayer games like phasmophobia and lethal company. Currently has an obsession with Balatro that has gotten her in trouble with her boss. Has been known to play Fortnite regularly. Note: she’s BAD.
Levi: Definitely prefers 3D horror games. Nothing actually scares him though. Favorite games are amnesia: the bunker, alien isolation and the forest. Fromsoft fan, favorite game was bloodborne. He owns a decent gaming laptop and a PS2 where he plays tony hawk pro skater. Also likes half life, silent hill and the shin megami tensei series.
Marcoh: He owns a crunchy ass Nintendo DSi where he plays some pokemon like, once in a blue moon. He already finished the game 7 years ago but will never delete the file. If you look into it you’ll see that his starter is like level 100 and everything else is level 8. Never learned how to play, probably never will. Not a gamer.
Marina: Marina is a visual novel supremacist who downloaded the entire Fate series off a shady backdoor website that probably did something horrible to her computer. She loves horror, but is also not opposed to lighter fantasy stuff. Doesn’t like games that have no story. Favorites are the WTC series (Umineko supremacist), tsukihime, melty blood and rance. General classic nerd stuff.
Olivia: She runs a custom steam deck with a really cute pastel purple layout. She’s pirated the sims with every single dlc + a disgusting amount of mods (including That mod 😏) and it took up so much space she had to put in a 2 TB sd card to hold it. She likes all kinds of games, but has a preference for games with heavy writing/plot. Favorite games are SOMA, Mouthwashing, Stay out of the house (Really any games by kittyhorrorshow, puppet combo or yames) and Who’s Lila. Similar taste to Daan, but likes her games more gory.
Osaa: Probably the worst gamer of all time. Even mobile games are confusing to him. Always complains that the screen is too bright, even at the darkest setting. All games bore him. Horror games are juvenile. Story games are predictable. Action games are a waste of time. Don’t bother.
…Favorite game: Papa’s Burgeria or Bloons Tower Defense.
Pav: Favorite game series is metal gear solid. Owns a PS3. Another ‘nostalgia gamer’ who won’t touch modern games. Likes the typical PlayStation stuff like GTA, Assassin’s Creed, and New Vegas. Yes, he’s the type of person to play COD. Doesn’t have time to play games much anymore due to work (thank god).
Samarie: The same kind of visual novels as Marina, but worse. Big into denpa horror. Yes, she plays eroge. Has no one to talk about her niche vns with. Favorite games are cross channel, saya no uta (of course), chaos head and gore screaming show. She also read homestuck (which is technically classified as a denpa on the visual novel database, so….)
Tanaka: The number 1 mobile gamer in the world. Clicks on every single weird ad he gets with no hesitation. Like a cocomelon baby. Top of the worldwide charts in candy crush for 3 weeks straight. Plays these apps in public with the sound on. No shame.

mindwave brainrot
Hey, look at this.
youtube
What you're seeing is Soul of Warioware.
I love Warioware. It's the perfect game for the ADHD crowd: Surreal imagery and gameplay alternating at extremely high speeds.
By comparison, here's a stage from the original Warioware on GBA, which I played at launch (2003). It's on Switch Online at the moment.
youtube
You may notice some similarities.
Nintendo often uses the Warioware series to showcase their most recent console's gimmick. With MINDWAVE, the gimmick is that it's on a PC.
It's rare to get a traditional Warioware any more, if you can call any of this traditional. But MINDWAVE seems to have the vibe down perfectly, and then adds that mouse-and-keyboard twist.
It's indie, of course, like if Pizza Tower was Warioware instead of Wario Land. It also has a plot somehow. The theme is a psychic tournament in which you have to defeat your opponent's mind, and each mind is a Warioware stage. Hopefully the other minds are just as wacky - I get the impression the team smartly chose a real banger as their introduction.
The demo's on Steam as part of their Kickstarter campaign. I'd recommend backing it, but they've already met every stretch goal in a week. That means we're looking at a Warioware game with:
10+ stages like the above
Steam Workshop support
Online multiplayer
Frankly, this is a dream come true. I just wanted to post about it since I'm so glad it exists. Very much looking forward to playing it when it releases on
Our estimated release date listed on the reward tiers is September 2027
Ah.
Well. Maybe I should try not to think about it for a little while.

From The Cohost Archive: ArachnoVolt's 2023 Game of the Year List
It's that time of year again! Time to look back at all the stuff we've played this year, for better or worse. Now this is probably gonna be the most interesting and surprising list I've ever done, simply due to the stuff I've played this year and how many games I've played this year. With the preamble out of the way, let's get to the rankings.
9: Marble It Up: Ultra
Tumblr media
Remember the days of browsing the Xbox Live Arcade on 360 just to see what neat demos you could find? Well, as a kid, I was obsessed with one game called Marble Blast Ultra. It was a 3D platformer where you'd roll a marble through colorful obstacle courses. Well, I was pleasantly surprised this year when its spiritual successor got an enhanced version this year. In addition of adding new cosmetics, brand new courses, and brand new multiplayer modes, this enhanced version was gifted to all existing players free of charge. I adored the original and a free excuse to revisit it is exactly why I'm starting my list with it.
8: Risk of Rain Returns
Tumblr media
Risk of Rain 2 is a phenomenal game. However, I always felt that the first game never got enough love. Well, Hoppo Games must have thought the same thing because we've now got a full fledged remake with great quality of life features, additional content introduced by Risk of Rain 2, and wholly new original content made just for this game. If you enjoyed Risk of Rain 2 or are looking to see what the Risk of Rain hype is all about, I strongly recommend this one.
7: Astral Ascent
Tumblr media
Hoo boy. Where to begin with this one? I had been following the progress of this game on Twitter for a while and it finally came out this year. What is it? It's a rougelike game in the same style of Dead Cells. But what makes this game really stand out is the presentation. From the voice acting, the character art, sprite work, animation, and music, this game is dripping in style. And the gameplay is combat is fast paced and energetic, always keeping you on your toes as you find new spells and modifications to your abilities. This game has been seriously slept on and I've been absolutely blown away by my brief time with it.
6: Pizza Tower
Tumblr media
Wario Land 4 is one of the earliest platformers I can recall playing so it's no surprise that I'm a fan of Pizza Tower. I will admit to taking a bit longer than I should have to finally check it out but I'm incredibly happy that I got around to it. This game is over the top in many ways. The momentum, the music, the gameplay, the art, and most especially, Peppino's expressions. It's wearing its influence on its sleeve and that's great because if Nintendo won't make another Wario Land, the indie scene has us covered and then some.
5: Dead Space (2023)
Tumblr media
Top five time! This one has been a long time coming. I've only ever played Dead Space 2 and I never finished it. So seeing this remake coming out had me really excited to finally see one of these through to the end. And it was so worth the it. One thing that I really enjoyed is the story mode. I'm a big ol coward so having the ability to make the game easier with the new Story Mode setting was phenomenal. This however doesn't take away from the claustrophobic and tense atmosphere of the Ishimura and the threat of its new nightmarish crew. All in all, even if you choose to opt for a Story Mode run, you'll have a great time playing this masterclass in horror gaming.
4: The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
Tumblr media
Tears of the Kingdom is a game that had been in the public zeitgeist for a while now. Once it had been announced, everyone waited in deep anticipation to see what a direct follow up to Breath of the Wild would look like. What we got was one of the best open world games I've played in recent years. In addition to the Sky Islands, we got new abilities, the return of Ganondorf, foes and allies new and old, and a whole other massive new thing that was intentionally kept out of pre-release footage, we were greeted to a Hyrule that felt familiar to returning players but with enough new experiences to make exploring and saving the same kingdom of Hyrule even more thrilling than the first time.
3: Super Mario Bros Wonder
Tumblr media
Now we're getting into the top three. Naturally, I felt this belonged here. This is the most I've ever enjoyed a 2D Mario game. I knew this game was something special after getting the Wonder Flower in the second level. This game is vibrant in its color palettes, whimsical with its musical score, and incredibly approachable with its gameplay. However, it's not a complete walk in the park. The Flower World might actually be the single most difficult challenge I've ever experienced in a Mario game. Will I ever play the Flower World again? Nope. Will I revisit the Flower Kingdom again to experience this wonderful game again. Absolutely.
2: In Stars and Time
Tumblr media
I thought long and hard about how to begin this one and I think the best way to do it is with a little story. See, I wanted to have this list out at least two days ago and I was playing this at the time. I said I'd play it just for a bit longer and I'd swap to something else so I could formulate my final GOTY thoughts on other stuff. Needless to say, that kept happening for two days. Now, lemme go into what's the deal here. In Stars and Time is turn based RPG with a helluva gimmick. The player character is your generic RPG party member but they're caught in a time loop on the day they're set to face off against the big bad of their story. So you have to take advantage of the loop to solve puzzles and find secrets to get to The King and save the country.
What really sells this game is the writing. This is, without a doubt, the funniest game I've played all year. Everyone from the main cast to the NPCs in the starting town are absolutely hilarious. That being said, there's a lot of serious stuff that the cast is dealing with and you can use the loop to piece together what's going on behind the scenes. On top of that, there's a deeper mystery at play that I won't speak much further on but once I'm through with this list, I'm going right back to delve deeper and all of this makes for one of the best RPGs I've ever played. Granted, besides Pokémon, I've only ever finished one other turn based RPG but that's a story for another time.
Before we get to the coveted numero uno, I'd like to make a pit stop first.
Honorable Mention: Suika Game
Tumblr media
Now here's an interesting one. So, this came originally came out two years ago exclusively on the Japanese eShop on Switch. This changed when Japanese VTubers started streaming it. It blew up so big that it eventually lead to a worldwide release back in October. What is Suika Game? Fruits drop into a jar and you have to try to match them until you get a watermelon and the game ends once the jar overflows. Imagine 2048, and Tetris, and Jenga had a colorful baby. That's Suika Game and it's a great little puzzle game.
Most Disappointing: Marvel's Spider-Man 2
Tumblr media
Yeah. If you know me, you're probably either shocked to see this here or probably saw this coming. Lemme be clear about this. I really enjoyed my time with Spider-Man 2. I really did. But this game tried its best to make it as unpleasant as possible. This might be the single buggiest AAA game I've ever played. Here's just a brief list of things I encountered during my time playing the game.
Models getting caught on the environment and stretching all over the place
Glitches in the audio with no audio playing or loud shrill feedback playing
Multiple instances of the player character model just not having any animation
Peter straight up losing the ability to web swing
The FNSM app menu remaining on screen, making it impossible to pause the game or open the map, forcing a complete relaunch of the game
Miles's final suit straight up no longer appearing in the suit menu
And lastly, a collectible required for the platinum trophy not spawning in
Now that collectible did eventually spawn in but it was so far after I hit that roadblock, I got the platinum, not out of joy for playing the game, but out of a sense of necessity so that I could get it done before something else broke. Which really breaks my heart because I never want to feel that way about a game, let alone a Spider-Man game.
But enough of that. The ArachnoVolt 2023 Game of the Year goes to...
1: Sea of Stars
Tumblr media
Remember that story for another time I mentioned earlier? Yeah, this is that story. Sea of Stars gets this spot for a multitude of reasons. For starters, it's the first and largest pledge I've ever made to a Kickstarter projet. Secondly, it's a direct prequel to The Messenger, an incredibly good platformer from several years ago that I also adore. So going in, I was probably gonna enjoy it. But like I previously said, I normally don't vibe with turn based RPGs outside of Pokémon. So for me to not only, finish the game, enjoy it, and go back to do literally everything possible on the default save before starting a new game plus run, that goes to show how much I love this game.
From the gorgeous art of the characters, enemies, and environments to the incredible soundtrack I'm jamming to as I write this. From the great combat system to the stellar writing that had me in tears from laughing and sadness. This game is a phenomenal game in its own right but it's a magnificent addition to the world and lore of one of my absolute favorite games in recent memory. I'm absolutely confident in saying that Sea of Stars is, without a doubt, the most I've enjoyed a game all year long and I'm super excited to see what the future holds for it and Sabotage Studio.

This is very random bc i know you're more in tune w pizza tower but what we think of outlast trials wernicke? I SWEAR it wasnt on purpose to me get hyped over outlast again but agh, wernicke is my new blorbo, if i had coins for every bald guy i liked i would have two now.... guess ill try to buy a tiny candy for you with those two coins in compensation.
- apple "i like doctors and old men" vinaigrette/fritters.
P.S : I've been thinking of drawing alistair but shhh, ill see what i can do about it hehe >:3
oh apple-- Pizza tower may be my drug of choice, but I will always perk up to talk about the others! <3
but also- siiiiiiigh- Í´m kinda emo about outlast trials wernicke to tell ya the truth- I S W E A R I´m not trying to be some "hipster for pensioners" but I think you may remember, back when I had my ship blog, I was being TORN TO SHREDS by upset, 14 year old outlast stans for my loutermilch and wernicke takes! like, yes, sure we both know how I feel about the milchman, but- wernicke is my baby! wernicke in outlast 1 had so much potential and legit?? he´s hot! and I was being grilled nonstop for it! like "gasp!! how dare you like this character?? you must be a N!z* sYMpaTHiZeR!!" meanwhile I´m just sitting here like?? no?? he´s just hot, evil and has two cats, whats not to love??
but now, somehow- I see more and more wernicke likers cropping up and I just?!? uuuugh- I tell ya, the whack a** takes I´ve seen about him could fill a book- takes like "oh, murkoff actually didnt lie! hes a soft boi UwU" and "oh wernicke never meant to go that far with the experiments! he got manipulated!! UwU" all these whack, dumb takes of people who can´t handle a spice stronger than salt in their problematic old men like srsly???
I mean?? idk- I cant help but be salty about this asdfghj dumb, I know- u_u
you´re the only wernicke liker I accept apple!! because you are an HONEST soul!! you like evil bishes for being what they are!! and are not trying to sweep the evil under the rug!! >:3
but yeah, with all of that being said- I actually??? don´t like outlast trials much?? tbh?? ..sry >3>
idk, it just doesnt have the same soul as outlast one and two- like, this feeling of isolation? the feeling of being helpless? the feeling of being at the mercy of your hiding places and bateries? none of that is present for me in that game- and I know, they were doing something new with the whole multiplayer thing and it´s not trying to be exactly like the other games, but just?? idk, I guess it just comes down to preference! outlast trials is a solid game, but it doesnt feel like outlast to me personally-
and with that being said, I also kinda don´t like wernicke in outlast trials either?? granted, I have only seen him overseeing the experiments (since I didn´t play that much of trials) but even when I went researching, looking for stuff I may have missed- he´s not really?? doing much?? unless there´s some new recent update or whatever? idk- but yeah, regardless, I prefer what we saw from him in outlast 1 and the very minor snippets we got in whistleblower- (I am maybe, probably also sour about wernicke being much younger in trials and his model looks near identical to the random npcs from outlast 1 BUT-)
WITH ALL OF THAT ASIDE THOUGH- *smacks keyboard* I am very giddy about you sharing another outlast blorbo with me!! now we can talk about milkyman AND the quirky wheelychair nerd! ^w^
also your title- HHHHHHHH big same!! very very big same!! doctors and old men tickle those happy receptors real good! brain itchy, old man scratch asdfghjk
also also also- HHHHHHHHHHHH *whispers* you wanna draw Alistair..? ;;w;; *hugs u* .......yes pls.....! *w*

What's your favorite game you played this year?
Excellent question! I'll start with some honorable mentions first...
Mario Wonder seems like an obvious pick for GOTY, and I did have a wonderful time playing it, but I haven't quite found myself wanting to come back to it again and again like I hoped. I absolutely love the badge system though and definitely want to incorporate some of its ideas into my game.
Mario Kart 8DX isn't really GOTY material but I did have a lot of fun with those 48/96 track races. And on that note I got into Trackmania a little bit as well this year(ish), its medal system is very fun and rewarding.
I didn't play it myself but I did watch a huge supercut of Persona 5 Royal which I surprisingly quite enjoyed! Looking forward to going back and playing some of the older titles when their remakes come out.
I really want to mention some new 2023 indie game here but uh, I guess I didn't play too many new indies this year? I passed on Pizza Tower and was sorta disappointed by Viewfinder... best I can think of was ElecHead, a nice short and sweet puzzle platformer. Its total lack of language, even in the menus, is pretty cool and inspiring.
And finally, my bizarre pick for favorite game I've played this year probably has to be Trouble in Terrorist Town. I know picking a multiplayer game like this is almost a cop-out but I've watched and played so much of this game, it's so much fun. I'm always thinking about new traitor plays, especially with the game still getting new updates and items... easy game of my year.

Talking about my musical choices for Splatoon 4 and what I wanted for the next game in this franchise
General context:
The music from Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 in multiplayer:
An undeniable fact is that Splatoon would probably be better off in the hands of SEGA directors, taking into consideration Jet Set Radio and most of the Sonic games, just seeing the soundtrack of both games that fit into Multiplayer and Story Mode, since Rock with Sonic Adventure to Jazz punk and acoustic instruments with Sonic Unleashed and Sonic Colors, or even more ambient music and the totally surreal sounds of Hero Mode, with Hideki Naganuma's Sounds in Jet Set Radio. Even more so, the urban culture theme of Jet Set Radio would be perfect for Splatoon 4, as this is not as well explored and seen in Splatoon 2
Pizza Tower Soundtrack:
In addition to the Goofy sounds and good rhythms, a sound like "Bye Bye There" being the final farewell to humanity and to Splatoon 1 itself would be ideal to replace the same massive plot of Idol songs played at every holy end of the game. The Noise Update Soundtrack for Salmon Run fits Salmonids' Spicy Little Gremlins personality, perhaps "World WIde Noise" would be a great theme for Salmonlings if we get that one day
Jet Set Radio/Bomb Rush Cyberfunk in Hero Mode:
"The Concept Of Love" is a good choice to be in the style of "Shark Bytes" and "Hide and Sleek" but much more punk, "Sneakman", "Fly Like A Butterfly" and "Teknopathetic" are good to play in confrontations against Rival Octolings (Although I wanted more of Inklings and Octolings in general, without the cliche of Rival Octoling Hair, which would be good to have available as available hair for an Octoling), and some separate aspects as something for more nocturnal activities , like "watchyaback!" and "Electric Tooth Brush", something in the style of "Nine Out Of Tension" and "Tentacular Circus", as well as "Right There, Ride On", sounds for stages with a focus on Ink Rails being something like "Ride Of Fry", as well as "Feel The Funk", and other specific things
Most memorable areas:
Some songs from Sonic CD I included because I wanted more memorable areas, this would serve to make the hero mode more memorable, just like Sonic was a classic era, it would bring more memories to those who play the game, that's why songs like "Metallic Madness" or "Spring Yard", something that was variable where each sector has its specific challenges and its focus that could vary between puzzles, speed, quick thinking or just stopping to appreciate the level design
Agent 4 and his "Endless Possibilities" :
Most people are probably thirsty for Agent 4 in the next Splatoon, I'm the type who compares Agent 3 with Shadow, so such an emotional sound for a final battle like "Endless Possibilities" would be perfect for a face-to-face fight against Agent 4, especially considering what this song is about
The Idols of the next game:
I thought a lot about a group of 4 idols, to finally be able to put at least two men to break the standard of women, in addition to putting more songs from that party atmosphere with Funky rhythm like something like "Soda City Funk" and "Next To Me " as the main theme, in addition to electronic breakbeat rhythms from Hideki Naganuma for Turf Wars such as "GET ENUF" and "Never 4ever", or even classic video montage types. EXE" such as "YO-KAI Disco" and " Radical City: Living In The City" (by the way, Sonic R's OST would be a good inspiration as it is this fast and energetic House Music). My choices come from the fact that I wanted an aesthetic that ranges from POP of the 90s and EDM of the 2000s, with its members inspired by classics from those times.
Bands in general:
We would probably have a continuation of Punk Rock, but I would prefer something more Industrial Rock, a style of music more like "Boarder 70" and "Rhythm and Balance... for White Jungle". There could be exploration of genres such as Breakbeat with acoustic Jazz instruments, such as "Windmill Isle" and "Sweet Mountain", Big Band as in the Team Fortress 2 OST but more similar to the community remixes. The band "Chirpy Chips" could adopt a style from Scott Pilgrim's OST or HI-FI Rush, and could expand these genres to remix the already famous songs in Splatoon
...if I have the option to have Octoling Rival Hair, I'll be happy enough

Aight, game list incoming: Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Kirby Star Allies, Kirby's Return to Dreamland Deluxe. (can be played multiplayer) Sonic Mania, Pokemon Scarlet/Violet, New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe, Sun Haven... I'd add more, but list's long enough already!
Games that I would have suggested: Pizza Tower (the last 3 levels have themes that you both dislike, and besides, one of the core mechanics involves a timer), and Sonic Frontiers (enemy designs are... a lil odd. Besides, the theming doens't feel right for ya both.)
*Kirby’s Return to Dreamland Deluxe was chosen*

Monday was a great time for me personally because it was my 19th birthday, one of the things during that day was go with my parents and family to John’s Incredible Pizza and eat some Brunch there for the most part.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Some of the things I ate there were chicken and pizza with potatoes. I also did check some of the things and while some of the things stayed the same like the design and rides, alot of it has changed after me not coming to there in a long time with some of the rides attractions like the mini golf, bumper cars, and laser Dodge games feeling empty with 1 or 2 people rarely being there at all. The birthday rooms looks more like a place to integrated at by cops for a crime rather than a place to celebrate your birthday with family and friends but that’s just my opinion. The Toon Time Theatre is a great place where I used to go and eat at all the time, watching cartoons, shows, and movies in there (when they had Old Boomerang on there) when I was little, but don’t go to there due to them changing it a bit, replacing some of the old pictures of cartoon characters like Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Yogi Bear, Woody Woodpecker, Scooby-Doo, Bugs Bunny and pics of the mascot bear with movie and tv posters that are alright for the most part but it’s something that you’ll usually see everywhere else, unlike the older pictures and posters which makes them more Special and unique in some way and also some of the colors changes and what they play on the big screen in “Toon Time Theatre” doesn’t interest me like it use to, so yeah, that’s why I don’t usually go there anymore, maybe someday I’ll revisit that, but for now, Nah, it ain’t for me anymore.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I honestly did have a even better fun time playing some of the arcade games there, including Pac-Man but with a giant screen and has multiplayer, Space Invaders Frenzy that also has a giant screen and has multiplayer as well, an arcade verison of Crossy Road, a game machine where u catch popcorn balls to earn points that I love playing as a kid, an Arcade ripoff of Flappy Bird, Hot Wheels: King of the road, a Minion whack a mole game, Super Alpine Racer, Cruis’n Blast, a game where you stack up shapes to make a big tower, and Big Bass Wheel. I also did competed with my nieces and nephew on the Hotwheels arcade game with me winning every single time with one of them either winning only a single round of the game or they didn’t, probably the former. I wouldn’t say the same thing for me and my dad playing the arcade version of connect four however. We completed on there a lot with him on there with him winning almost every single time, much to my dismay but I wasn’t TOO bitter and jealous about it, at least I have fun managing to get a full win in the last round and there so it counts! After that, me, my dad, and my mom went to the Photo Booth to get our picture taken and it came out great, so we and especially mom loved it! After that, I went to play one last game in the big arcade area there, The Twister Arcade Machine or as I like to call it, “Twister: Body Torture Arcade Edition”.
Tumblr media
I had a bit of hard time to keep up with what spots it was trying to tell put my hand or feet on with some of the spots being really hard to reach and touch without making a mistake to the point that I lost to the game a few times until I won all of the rounds because I was both flexible and also being very a lot more careful to not make a mistake, thank god I’m still flexible and able stretch my arms and legs a bit longer after all these years! 😅😮‍💨
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After that, Me and Mom went on the “Typhoon” Simulator Arcade Ride since that was one I could use the last of my points on my card and we have a blast on there, flying with a toy plane that goes around a big city on the screen, a good time overall with mom having fun on it too! 😁 After that, we decided we were done playing around here and leave, but before that, I took some of the pics of the arcade games that doesn’t work anymore so that I could look at it and show it to all of you who are reading this. Looking at them now, I feel sad 😞 about how they don’t work like they used to anymore with ones that u can’t scan your card on, have a hard time trying to get your points, not function at all, or just be entirely turned off. I wish the people at John’s incredible Pizza would give them away to people especially me or refurbish them so that many people could replay them again or play it for the first time ever but I doubt that’s ever going to happen since 1: they have been getting rid of some of their old stuff as of lately concerning that I remember there used a be an broken Ice Age Ice Hockey near by but when I come back to it on my birthday, it and the rest of the stuff on it was suddenly gone, 2: even if they did decide to sell it or give them away, there will be a big catch like a high price that neither me or my family could ever afford or something to add to their collection of games and equipment, 3: I wouldn’t even know how to fix, repair, or refurbish it and my parents would definitely be against that, especially if it means that I have to pay someone to do it for a very large amount of money, 4: it would be hard for me, my family, and staff members to carry it into our car, fit it inside or on top of it, and especially fit all of them or at least one in our home or the garage with the stuff that we already have in there, and 5: I don’t think they’ll care about all of it since and also because of the fact that there are less people working than before the pandemic, they’ll probably be stuck in ruin until someone gets rid of them, sigh 😔. Hopefully Namco and Konami and many other will bring back DDR, Time Crisis, and many other arcade series like these back into the spotlight with new console and arcade games, remake/remasters, ports, and collections in the near future! But I still have fun after that. After me and my family got home, some of them left to do some errands and I was just going to the good times I have in my room, finally watching Nimona on Netflix for the very first time on my own! Well I was before one of my nieces came while I started to watch it and she decided to butt in and watch it with and while i could’ve watched by myself and told her no thanks, after saying please 🥹, I changed my mind and decided to let her watch it with me while also trying ignore her and tell her to not say any spoilers m she might tell me unintentionally or not due to my other niece warning me that she likes to spoil things a lot all the time, jokes on them however since I read a lot of times during my years at high school!!😏😏
After getting a final birthday meal that my dad got me from my restaurant one of my old childhood friends work at, I enjoyed eating the meal I have while watching the movie with my niece which wasn’t gonna be as bad as I thought it would be even though she ask too many questions and sometimes annoy and bugged me more than she should have, I still love her at the end of the day tho. After all of that, we finish the movie and we both loved it (well mostly me since she didn’t 2/3 of the movie for some reason).
Tumblr media
My mom did got me an ice cream cake during the time I and my little niece was in the middle of watching Nimona. Hopefully I will finish it one of these days tho. Overall I would give my my 19th birthday a 9/10 for even if a few things I wanted to do didn’t go the way I wanted to, I still have fun regardless of the outcome and heck, I even got a gifts as well to including some candy and letters from my nieces, air pods pro from my mom, and Kirby’s Return to Dreamland; Fire Emblem Engage, and SpongeBob: The Cosmic Shake as well, it was honestly it was just a great day to be me!
Happy Late Birthday to Me yay!
Also: NIMONA is 10/10 and BLUE SKY NEVER DIES!!!!

KieueCaprie's Games Finished List of 2023: Entry 6
While Twitter is going to pot, I'm going to be playing catch-up with the list, it'll take a while to catalogue all of these so please bare with me if I take a while to update it.
#6: Hi-Fi RUSH
What's done? Main Story
Started? 26/1/23
Finished? 27/1/23
What platform? PC
If PC, where? Xbox Game Pass
No screenshots for this one and considering that I'm playing catch-up, I may not come back to this to add any but I will say that initially, I didn't expect much from this game.
But that went out the window real fast when I actually got my hands on it. It was absolutely a great game to play, it felt like I was playing a PS2/Gamecube-era game with the visuals, the gameplay, the music, everything.
I also played through the entire game with Streamer Mode on even though I'm basically a retired streamer at this point because I wanted to know what songs they made to replace the licensed ones, and they were also really great.
It is one of the few Game Pass games so far that has met my "I feel like I'm robbing the developers by playing it on Game pass" goal, something that is only shared with the likes of Psychonauts 2 and Slayers X.
#7: Pizza Tower
What's done? The game
Started? 27/1/23
Finished? 28/1/23
What platform? PC... 'cause it's only on PC at this time in writing
If PC, where? Steam, of course.
Tumblr media
Seems I only had this screenshot of the funny pizza man game but I can say that Pizza Tower was a very good game. The controls are tight (well, after the superjump button binding update because THAT was killer...), the gameplay loop is almost addicting, and the difficulty is just right (...in some cases...). It really makes you feel like you're playing a balding italian man who is perpetually anxious and is one bad day away from snapping and ending someone.
#8: Wario Land 4
What's done? The game
Started? 16/2/23
Finished? 18/2/23
Platform? Wario Land 4 on the Game Boy Advance (HA HA HA!)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I actually stopped and started this a few times and I don't really know why... and it took until completing Pizza Tower 101% before I could finally find the drive to playthrough and finish Wario Land 4 on the Game Boy Advance.
How the heck did I not play this sooner? How on earth did young me miss out on this? AND I WAS A 3DS AMBASSADOR WHICH HAD WARIO LAND 4. AAAAAAAA-
#9: Theatrhythm Final Bar Line
What's done? Story mode
Started? 20/2/23
Finished? 22/2/23
Platform? Nintendo Switch
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Initially, I wasn't too impressed with the changes to the gameplay coming from 3DS to Switch but I got used to it overtime. It still tripped me up from time to time.
Also A Long Fall was in it, so of course.
#10: Barony
What's done? Full story
Finished? 15/3/23
Platform? PC, on Steam
Multiplayer? Yes, with @armoreddragon99
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Barony is one of those games where it's fun but is complete CBT-inducing when it comes to playing solo. One day, Armored and I decided to do a run of Barony together (We eventually started playing with ZaktheDragon and Kaelyn later on but I dunno if we've finished those runs or not, maybe I could check).
The game stops being so CBT when even ANOTHER player joins, meaning that if I die in solo play, it's a massive skill issue.
