#saturdaymorning . . Doing some financial planning.. consolidating of our March expenses so far this month, seeing were our money's going, what we're spending it on, and how much we are spending.. I use my @printpression #pocketrings as my wallet, and have my on the go spending. My #edc is a #personalrings from @theplannersociety. I've color coded our spending into categories, like bills, takeout, groceries, etc, and by which method of payment, i.e. , credit card, main bank account and secondary bank account. This is the first month I have done this, and I have to say, it's eye-opening to see where we really spend our coins.. but it's also helping us to be mindful of our spending.. definitely adding this to the #planningroutine ! Hey Fam! Hope you're all having a good holiday! So I've decided to try bullet journalling (I got inspired by the pretty pictures and penmanship). Have any of you done it before and do you have any tips? Also, do you know where you can find cheap A4 notebooks (preferably with dotted grids)? Thanks!

Hope you’re having a restful break too!

Yesss I’ve done a bullet journal, and am still half doing one. Last year I actually used a plain journal and decorated all my layouts myself but I’ve found it so time-consuming, especially because I need it to be all perfect haha, so I now use a Typo planner (without lines) and still use my bullets there. I’m not sure if there are places with A4 dotted notebooks, but I know Officeworks have some smaller dotted ones (and other types) that aren’t too expensive. I would recommend Moleskine but they’re quite highly-priced.

Here are some tips, but I’m not a bujo pro hehe:

I think if you don’t have much time on your hands make it simple so that your days are planned out but you aren’t decorating it too much.

However, I did like decorating it - so if you can, try some colourful layouts, and maybe even buy some washi tape!

Use a legend/key at the start of your bujo for bullets, colour, symbols, etc so you can refer to them all the time when you’re planning your days

I used a monthly spread and I found that really useful in planning ahead

Not only did I use my bujo for planning my days, I also doodled in it, made wish lists, made monthly habit trackers, and lists for things I did, music I listened to, movies I watched.

  We’ve talked briefly about Bullet Journaling here. It’s such the thing right now – all of the cool kids are doing it.  Karma does it. Shawna and I dabble, too.

So. Where to start? All you need is a notebook, a pen, and a short list of things you want to do today or in the future. I like Boho Berry’s series of posts/videos for BuJo newbies. Her handwriting is insane and her page spreads are perfect-perfect. That’s a little intimidating, but she’s also has a down-to-earth and realistic approach to getting started.
