genlissa fanon, i submit to you that melissa has an older brother who is a bit of an asshole who she play fights with well beyond the appropriate age. she's eavesdropping on his D&D games always, and also whenever he's away, she's playing his NES. she fucking loves zelda.

i further submit that gen has a little sister with asthma. since gen grew up with her having attacks as a kid & retrieving her inhaler, she's attuned to emergency situations and reassuring people through things (ie: as with melissa and the arrow injury).

my last contribution is that they grew up as neighbors. they lived in apartments across the hall from each other. both(?) have single moms? if not both, then definitely melissa does.
