For comics, what is your work process like? How do you get from idea to a finished comic?

HELLOOOO OAAA omg this is a tough nut to crack as im a pretty chaotic writer in that way...... i think it depends whether i'm creating longform or shortform, i actually recently talked abt this elsewhere so i can bring an example based on the sylvanian discourse comic as shortform! long post with sketch pages and thumbnails etc ahead, ill put it under a cut! 🧡🧡

usually i start by jotting down really loose ideas which i do in my native language; ill translate it for you but i sent myself a mad scientist-esque message that went like: "kohaku giggling at his phone, rinne asking what's so funny and kohaku tells them that love assigned them sylvanian families creatures, and shows them. niki's is obvious, everyone agrees. same with kohaku's, plus rinne does pleading face emoji at how cute it is. rinne's critter could get criticism on being uncool? google. himeru's reaction to his own is no way.. himeru is this one and shows a pic on his phone to which everyone is like ..:3 himeru we didn't know you'd thought about this already but himeru just demands everyone to agree with his choice more than aira's. aira later gets a text from kohaku that himeru didn't agree and aira is PISSED"

sdfsdfdklhs so this was my script, as you see the story changed a little while thumbnailing bc i figured out a funnier way to write it; + i cut the scene change for pacing reasons and constrained the ending into one panel with texts on a screen...! then i had to start finding the critters to assign them, i presented my assignments to friends to check if im accurate or out sailing:D:D mwah mwah thank you to my council of love

next step was writing dialogue which i did while sketching the pages super loosely as little thumbnails, i like to get my layouts solidified when thumbnailing too and i usually do my cleanups straight on the scaled up thumbnails. when i write longform i usually thumbnail out more than 6 pages at once to see how the pages flow and write loose mad scientist type scripts chapter by chapter. i rly do miss working on longform comics 😭😭😭 (my webcomic FLFR became abandoned bc i deleted my twitter years ago and realized later that my only way of accessing my webtoons account was thru twitter. customer support said its gone forever so 🇫.)

as you see in this example i rly like to have my text flow and kind of lead the reader's eye thru the action... i think all comic artists have different approaches to certain things but i like loose and dynamic paneling very much; it's so much fun to play around with!! i'm also so so pleased that people noticed in the comic how kohaku was becoming more and more excited and confident with every showing, it was a little difficult to figure out how to make a repetitive and essentially very boring action (someone holding up their phone) work in comic format without feeling copypasted or trite. more thumbnail examples from my sketchbook for the rinniki comic (i like that i wrote notes for myself on top of drawings, like "üldine" to refer to the panel being a wide shot:DD wonderful overlap of storyboarding and comic work!!):

overall i like writing comics since you can add endless details. what makes comics work for me is giving up on being a perfectionist or you will never finish a comic. one finished comic is better than the perfect comic in your head because you'll have the experience and free space in your head to write another comic, instead of the first one stewing in your mind. :D and so on!! be bold, don't be scared to draw ugly, and draw bad comics. and definitely write it with an audience in mind, except the audience is 50 versions of you and what you enjoy/like most!!

i started my first longform comic in high school and idk how but i managed to finish it, it's not a great comic, but i'm proud that it's done and it taught me a lot. same for FLFR which i hope i can rewrite/redraw some day since it's a story i still want to tell and the characters are rly near and dear to my heart, but i think i totally got burnt out from juggling work, comics and things going on in my life at the time :( surprisingly i also enjoyed working on a comic project where the client wrote the script and had character designs ready but mainly because the client's script writing style was similar to mine which at times was like "idk they fight and something funny happens here"

Clover and Trefoil belong to me

Clovertale Story-

Humans and monsters were cared for by a God, Gaster. But the god had trouble caring for all his humans and monsters. They did what they want, whenever they wanted cause they weren’t punished for their bad deeds. So the god decided to create two helpers.

Clover, a sans who would reward good behavior by bringing good luck to those who earned it, and Trefoil, a sans who would punish those who did wrong by cursing them with bad luck.

At first, it helped. People began doing more good and being rewarded with good luck and those who were punished- learned their lessons quickly. All was good for years. But eventually, people began blaming everything bad that happened to them on Trefoil, even when he didn’t have anything to do with it.

The breaking point was when the kingdom’s human prince, Chara, died unexpectedly. The king and queen blamed the being of bad luck for taking their child away from them, when in fact, the human was sick and died cause of the sickness. Soon word spread that the bad luck sans had murdered the prince and everyone began to hate him. Everyone threated the poor guy, threw things at him, even tried to kill him a few times, causing Trefoil to break down. His brother was his only comfort at the time.

Soon it was so bad, the god decided it was best to get rid of Trefoil so peace could be restored. Even though Clover pleaded not to lose his brother, the god had began the process of deletion, ignoring Trefoil’s cries of fear and pain.

He was almost gone, but trefoil refused to die, using everything in his power to teleport himself to safety, being sent out of the au, his code glitching from him starting to be deleted and ended up in a voided area. Out of anger and spite, he now travels around, cursing anyone he meets with bad luck.

The god was not happy that this “mistake” had been let out into the multiverse and sent his brother, Clover, to go capture him and bring him back so he could delete him. Clover has mixed feelings about this and is having trouble fighting Trefoil every time they meet.

Extra-

-Papyrus is Gaster’s actual son, Trefoil and Clover were created by Gaster so they’re like his sons.

-Trefoil and Clover were pretty much raised by all the monsters, being moved around a lot as kids and not really having a stable home life till they were adults.

- Gaster created humans and monsters separately at first, toriel n Asgore has Asriel and then found chara as a baby n adopted him. After he died, (Trefoil left the au) then Gaster created the other 6 humans to replace chara- but they all kept dying (while people thought it was cause of Trefoil- it was actually a disease that wiped out each human that Gaster didn’t know about). Toriel n Asgore divorced then Gaster created frisk as both another child and as an experiment to control the humans and monsters by using frisk’s power to reset. But cause frisk still had a mind of his own- he was disobeying Gaster- so Gaster created Kris, the perfect human puppet that he could control completely when the human soul is inside of him.

-Trefoil and Chara were pretty close, Chara pretty much having a crush on Trefoil even tho Trefoil only saw Chara as a friend. Chara and Asriel are only a couple years younger than Clover and Trefoil (Chara was 13 when he died, Asriel 14, Clover and Trefoil 15).

The Negative Effects of Being Off Socials to Noah “selling” his soul to fame

Hi welcome back to another rant. We are discussing the issue and negative effects on how a person who is quite popular is impacting the fans, with not engaging.

So I’ve wanted to talk about this for awhile now, considering that Noah has been gone from social media back in December.

This is where State of the Scene Podcast took notice that Noah was no longer active on social media.

This is where fans are also being affected of him being gone from the internet as he wiped off his digital footprint.

Now we all know that Noah is highly highly private. Most of what we know we don’t know because of how private he is with his personal life.

In detail, from the interview from Loudwire, Noah didn’t exactly put a good description of detail to why he actually deleted socials.

A lot of people took it as a sign of him dealing with his mental health.

But to be fair the internet is just one place to dump but it never goes out further than what revolves around it. It can be a deep dead end, with no meaning behind it.

But what exactly are the side effects of being off social media whenever you’re a huge part of a fanbase that people want to enjoy? Let’s take a look at our first topic.

THE CYCLE OF NEGATIVE SETBACKS

So, in all when a celebrity decides to delete their social media, it’s taking away that experience with the fans. Leaving them alone and abandoned to what music and what type of content they decide to do.

This leaves with Noah Sebastian disappearing mid-December without fans knowing. It creates a divide with the fans, due to Noah being gone for a year now. This also raised a lot of questions on my end that I still don’t understand.

THE LOST CONNECTION TOWARDS ARTIST AND FAN

In my opinion, I think Noah did something completely dumb and stupid for deleting his socials. There seems to be a lot of disappointment for the fans when they want him back on social media. I think they’re right to express how they feel, even if Noah is gone, it makes the fans feel sort of left out to what the lead singer has to put out for the fans.

This gives them negative feedback on fans delegating that if they’re set out to be an exclusive merch store or if they really are a numetal band.

Plus it takes away all the interaction from the fans.

NOAH’S IMPACT ON BEING GONE

I think there’s going to be a lot of opinions and discussion to how I’m going to receive this information after posting this blog, but to me, that’s a lot more information for my ideas next blog.

So what is the impact Noah put on the fans that created this toxic atmosphere on social media?

Here are my theories

In terms, Noah created a twitch back in 2019, during Covid. This led him to postpone and cancel tour dates because of what’s been happening when they started quarantining everyone around the world.

There he met his best friend Keaton Pierce.

Allegedly i got told by a man, who claimed to be friends with both Keaton and Noah. His name I can’t remember.

After 2019, in the early year of 2020, he came out with the most listened album “THE DEATH OF PEACE OF MIND” right after he deleted his socials.

During his twitch streams with fans, a lot of it came from him engaging what the fans wanted to look forward to in their next album.

Noah on the receiving end, gave what the fans wanted in return.

But it seemed to not last long. Noah wanted to be part of the fanbase, to engage with fans, without the necessity of starting drama. So where did this all lead to the development of the toxic cycle of hate?

I’m not exactly sure where the toxic thing came from but from the tea blogs I have read came from one specific person. It’s honestly crazy to think that the toxic fanbase never goes away.

So what changed?

Noah’s presence online was in my opinion starting out just like any normal person on the internet. From his live twitch streams, playing with fans or people he met on discord.

To having his own discord server where fans all over the world can talk to Noah. Mind you this all happened in 2019.

They say he also had a tumblr account, but I couldn’t find it anywhere. That’s where I got stumped. He definitely deleted his account. But the original Bad Omens tumblr account still remains on here. Leaving it abandoned.

Noah’s trace seemed to be gone after Covid. Although he was pretty much active on Twitter all the time, a lot of fans loved interacting with his social presence being online.

It’s honestly pretty wild that I did not even know he existed during quarantining. All of this I have learned and met people that actually do know him and how he is as a person.

THEORY 1: Mental Health or Toxic Online Behavior?

This theory led me to think, that he probably got off socials because of how toxic the fanbase got.

Of course there’s the other reason as to his mental health declining. But since he seems to be doing fine as of now, he seems a lot happier being offline.

The fanbase can be toxic, and there’s a lot of people who get jealous and start acting like they want to pick on the person for being hateful or expressing their own opinions.

This has led a lot of fans start drama on the most dumbest things.

As for example their online merch store. A lot of it seems to come off there and start like a wildfire. From one person saying that their merch is AI, to another person saying that the Hentai shirt was p*rn*graphic. To Davis coming out and making a meme from all the hate it has given.

To a fan claiming that they humiliated. Like dudes. Chill the fuck out. You know how insensitive and childish that sounds? You guys are adults. It’s pretty annoying to see on the platform just because you don’t like something IN FACT Matt said something about this awhile back.

Here’s what he said.

“If you’re an old fan, don’t like the new material, then listen to the old content and shut the fuck up lol.”

I don’t think he was being rude. More to put it as a statement for others to understand that the band doesn’t owe anyone anything.

To those anons who think the band owes you something or say that the band knows you, it’s hard for me to understand if they actually know who you are.

This includes the circle where one of his ex-girlfriends decided to go public and start a tea blog of what Noah is like.

This led other anons follow up on what she had to say and what her relationship was like with Noah.

Obviously I don’t hate her, because I don’t know her personally.

The toxic online behavior looks like it’s all over the place. From what this man told me, he told me that several things of what he quote on quote said saying “if you think about it, Noah likes this perspective on music. More so to say that what he puts out in his music, he’s not just producing it. Whether in a sense, he likes and wants fans to enjoy.”

This man I tell you blew my mind. This is why I said allegedly. Whether or not he knows Noah, it’s sort of creeped me out by what I heard about Noah, that also confirms what’s been being said.

We do know Noah had a mental health issue leading him to delete socials which we all respect and appreciate while he gets better.

THEORY 2: THE MAN BEHIND THE MASK

Now this man, I tell you gave me goosebumps all over my body. From what I remember him telling me is that he sold his soul to gain momentum and gain popularity. He also said that Noah wasn’t looking for fame this quickly.

Of course, this made me think okay but if this was actually real, is it possible to sell or buy someone’s soul for their reputation in the sense to make them popular?

From what I heard, is that Noah did something very shady to get famous. Whether or not this is true, it’s pretty creepy and highly scary. This is from months ago when I first started knowing about Noah Sebastian.

Believe me being a fan and being to enjoy his music, to knowing the weird things that I got told. It feels like a gate to the unknown, more likely a gate to where people don’t talk about it much. It’s where you feel like you entered some type of illuminati shit.

The questions I asked him were mainly about how people go into the business in music. He stated that during his time knowing Noah due to gaming over the PC, he, Noah, and Keaton were talking about what makes music interesting.

Some of it I can’t talk about, because it gets really dark, really easily.

But due to the toxic environment of them having to deal with toxic people in the fanbase, Noah in a sense doesn’t like it. It makes their own fanbase look bad.

In terms of him being gone, a lot of new fans and a lot of the old fans that have followed them for years it seems like it’s causing the fanbase to know little about the band Bad Omens.

This is causing a whirlwind of people discontinuing to not liking their music.

The supportive fans will continue to support. While others don’t want to support the band.

How come no one is talking about this?

Well this leads to my next topic on the subject.

THE BAND NEEDS TO INTERACT WITH THE FANBASE

Many fans need interaction with the artist. Without that interaction, there’s a problem where the fans don’t know how the artist thinks. This leads to problems later on to fans coming up with rumors on how the band actually is like. To fans ranting out that they no longer want to be part of the fandom.

This is where it gets interesting, because I feel like Noah just quit social media because of how fans were taking everything too personally and too serious.

To where it leads the thought that Noah doesn’t want to do anything with the fanbase. Okay if he didn’t want to do anything with the fanbase, does that make him a bad person?

In other terms, as to what I have seen on his twitch streams, he enjoyed talking to people and enjoyed being able to talk to fans. Which led him to start his own discord, to him being on YouTube, to him having all these socials.

This is causing the fanbase to lose that interaction with Bad Omens.

The only interaction they have is Davis. He is the main spokesperson for Bad Omens when it comes to merch. Then there’s Matt. He interacts with people sometimes on the Twitter platform. Along side Folio, Jolly, and Ruffilo.

I think when it comes down to Noah Sebastian, I think he didn’t want to interact with fans anymore and that’s causing the main frenzy. Even though half of the band has socials, it’s pretty obvious that they have become highly private.

But there’s a bad side to it as well.

Even though the guys are very private about everything and little is known about what’s going on to their lives, I think it goes much farther than that.

A lot of the times, a band when it’s formed they need to have a fan interaction at some point in time. But with Noah not having socials, he’s distancing himself from that and it’s making him feel like every fan that follows Bad Omens is a bad person. Or fake fan that interacts in a bad way.

This is where I get confused, because without knowing what Bad Omens does as a band without the context of what they put on their merch site is in a sense a bit like saying “if they’re a band, why promote a clothing brand?”

CLOTHING BRAND OR MUSIC LABEL?

So with Bad Omens they promote an excellent merch collection. Differing from their old merch to the new merch for the death of peace of mind.

So what are they really? Are they both a music band? Or are they a clothing brand?

This is where some fans get highly angry. To where they’re getting bored with the same thing over and over. From Sumerian coming out with the same Concrete OST vinyl, but in different colors, to Bad Omens producing the old merch they had with their second album Finding God Before God Finds Me.

Like bringing back the most loved merch from their previous collection and releases.

This leads fans thinking that Bad Omens is just a clothing brand but doesn’t produce enough music.

I mean I get where they get this question and get mad at Bad Omens just because they want new music instead of the old content.

To be honest, from them starting a tour and then cancelling it due to Noah having a bad burnout, it really made a lot of fans upset. This leads to the other subject.

If someone goes off social media and deletes everything, that brings a lot of negative vibes to the fan base. Not just because of a mental health problem, but it also leaves the fans wondering why Noah left.

If you bring back the previous content I have blogged here, a lot of what I said revolved around Noah experiencing a bad fan base and how they appeared on his doorstep to pulling pranks on him.

Well let’s dig a bit deeper.

Since Noah is a very particular person when it comes to certain things. Like the fan base. He might have thought some point in time the toxic comeback that people have said, or thought about his career is full on bad.

Not just that, but the fact that during one of his livestreams on twitch, someone told him to “go ***”.

Okay. Thats sort of mean considering that this man just wanted to promote his album and his music for people to listen to. I think due to the hate he constantly had and received led him to delete his social media.

He sort of got bored with it in my opinion. Now that his band has become popular, a lot more fans are wondering the fact that maybe Noah shouldn’t have deleted everything.

THE CYCLE OF TOXICITY

The cycle of how we define toxic behavior online and what it does online, it can be a lot of topics from ranging from haters to fake fans to people causing rumors.

From what the man told me, Noah did not want to be in the spotlight of fame. He never really asked for it, but in time he did.

This comes from years and years of providing music, and publishing music vinyls. To tour dates even.

Listen I’ll tell you right now, there is a sacrifice that people do, in order to become successful. If Noah made a decision to stay off social media, then it takes away what the fans really want.

This leads to the theory that he sold his soul to or offered something in return for fame.

I’m not sure if you guys are familiar with the theory that there might be shady people in the industry where in California everything seems like you can afford something from doing something.

From what the man told me, Noah wanted sell out. He wanted the attention and the money. From his friendship with Keaton, they both wanted to succeed. Although im not quite sure why it has some part to do with the occult.

If there was some sort of cult in the music industry, then it’s a pretty big secret.

I know it’s crazy to think, but if Noah really sold his “soul” many people wouldn’t believe it. It comes down to how hard they work off and how much blue collar work they do. If Noah actually sold his soul for a contract to become big, it’s quite creepy to think, more so to where you completely abandon your own fanbase and just forget they even exist.

I mean that’s a pretty big ass move to even do. It actually upsets me because not only they’re a great band performing publicly, but they’re distancing themselves from the fans that actually support them. More likely Noah than the other guys in the band.

I think we need to show Noah that it’s not the entire fanbase that’s toxic. Some fans are nice, heck a lot of us enjoy his content.

The cycle where this comes in, I don’t think it’s ever going to stop. I mean you basically have people commenting and ranting that they don’t enjoy some of the songs they put in the albums they write.

Even if you ignore it, it never stops or goes away. I think Noah got sick of seeing people argue over the dumbest thing.

But anyways, yes he did leave because of mental health, but he also left due to the fanbase being toxic and that really takes away the fun that bands try to bring into the music world.

This created a toxic environment inside the bad omens community. Even if it comes from a specific group that always wants Bad Omens to fail as a band, it comes from everyone around.

Okay let’s face the fact here.

1. These tea blogs you read online, they only talk about Bad Omens either collaborating or touring around the world.

2. They actually don’t know Noah. All they say is hearsay.

3. They just talk about other people supporting different artists, and/or just bully them. If they actually knew Noah, I don’t think Noah wouldn’t like it.

Obviously I’m just a fan here, who experienced a lot and met people who actually know what Noah is like. I don’t know if I consider myself lucky, or just solely because I love this band.

But anyways moving on.

This missing interaction between Noah and the fans that came after him deleting socials, it says a lot about a person. Honestly if he didn’t delete socials and just stayed offline while he was working on his mental health, it could’ve been easier. Rather than deleting everything.

I think that fans should have this interaction with Noah, but I also feel like if Noah were to see the crap that people put on the internet, it’s nothing compared to what the fans want.

DID HE REALLY SELL HIS SOUL?

From what I heard, I’ll tell you I didn’t sleep that night. If Noah actually sold his soul to the devil, why does he reference the devil so much in Finding God Before God Finds Me?

In which he describes that the devil took his soul for the price he paid. In which terms he wanted to sell out tickets for the new album The Death Of Peace Of Mind.

He also references the devil in many ways. One where he took a picture with a goat. Or has a tattoo of a goat.

He also described how the occult takes something from you. Something meaningful.

From what I experienced I also met someone else, now I don’t know if they were legit crazy or just making up nonsense, but they told me to sell my soul to them.

I was like “no thankyou.”

Then comes to the fact that this other artist told me he was in a satanic cult group and that he worshipped satanism and how he was a satanist, stuff like that.

Listen, I’ll support bands that make really great music, but having the knowledge to know these things can be quite weird. Specially if someone is telling someone else that this whole music industry is based off of a cult.

I think you gotta look at the aspect of wanting to openly know about what famous people are like. I think I opened myself up to this a lot more than others, and made me make this blog. To finding out more on Noah.

Honestly, if a person has the ability to actually know this stuff and has the strength to go far and out and reach the tunnel of the unknown. Then that’s something.

But I think selling or offering your own services to devote a specific god more so the devil, I think it’s highly outrageous.

Believe me I had nightmares due to finding this stuff out for weeks. Weeks bro. I think I got a bit paranoid about it, so I had to take a major break from knowing all this stuff in the span of one year.

FANS THINK NOAH DOESN’T CARE

Okay if he was mean, that would mean that Noah definitely doesn’t like his fanbase. The only thing Noah doesn’t like is drama. He stays far away from it as much as possible.

Drama leads to all sorts of problems but the band doesn’t really care for much of it. They keep doing what they’re doing and have the best time selling merch and their albums.

While these fans (the anons) that says something.

These people include the inner circle that the public ex-girlfriend of Noah Sebastian has. To the inner circle of the anti omens fans who call themselves the dick riders.

Even if they’re famous for knowing who Noah is, I think they’re just wanting to want to know Noah, because he’s the most hottest person only being recently 29.

This leaves me with not interacting with anyone who just hates on people because they’re allowed to.

I feel like these types of people aren’t good or healthy friendships. The tumblr blogs they own, is solely just to leave a conversation of Bad Omens.

Listen if you had the time to know what I know from what I experienced, I think you’re just making up nonsense that isn’t even relevant.

That’s what I hate. That’s what I don’t interact with.

You definitely don’t know everything.

Also Noah isn’t mean. He’s just highly reserved.

MY CON-SENSES

If Noah made the right decision to leave socials, there’s got to be some kind of explanation.

Like I said, he is a particular man. I think he thinks differently than most people do.

But it leaves me with questions. If he likes his fans, why did he leave? Why didn’t he stay?

Why do people think that he’s not the nicest person around?

Why are fans always finding some way to disagree with merch?

Is Bad Omens doing something wrong?

If Noah came back on social media, it would be a surprise. I’m just highly upset that he deleted everything. Fans these days don’t have the ability to respect boundaries. Specially when it comes to parasocial interactions.

That’s also another reason. Noah leaving his fans and abandoning his social media makes everyone upset and not just me.

My only train of thought is that Noah made a dumbass move deleting everything that he had.

If he didn’t delete socials, then he would still be able to interact with people.

But I guess people ruin it for everyone.

If fans think Noah doesn’t care for his fans, then why is he putting out music for everyone to enjoy? If he didn’t care, he wouldn’t have started such a great band and career.

Honestly I think the problem is with the people who want Bad Omens to look bad.

Even with the Concrete OST. If you don’t like it, then don’t buy it. You’re the one making a problem here.

If you aren’t happy with the band then move on. The band doesn’t owe you shit. They’re out there producing to make money. That’s what they do.

Anyways I think that Noah leaving socials, and the fans acting mean towards each other. It is also distancing the fan from the artist.

Without having to know the artist, and what they like producing, people will think that they’re not being heard or being listened to publicly.

Or the problem where they showed us the concrete ost vinyl. Where when they launched their merch, a lot of people complained that it was not available in Australia or overseas.

Okay so this is where my next question is. If he put out boundaries, to where he told fans to not show up at his home or anywhere he went, then why did the fans not respect the rules?

It seems like the fans caused this break and distance to where Noah got a bit concerned and creeped out by what has happened to him. I think the fans caused this more than anything.

They didn’t respect his privacy, they were always wanting to hang out with the dude, they wanted autographs, and wanted to come party with Noah considering the amounts of partying he did with his friends and just live streamed on Twitch.

He wanted to show fans what he loves and adores which is music. Being involved with friends and hanging out by the pool or playing games.

“THE CRAZED FANS”

These people that came out of the closet to go such lengths to interact with Noah was not okay. From him saying in his livestream that people were showing up on his doorstep, to him asking them to leave. It’s highly disturbing and disrespectful. He also mentioned that it wasn’t okay for them to do that.

He did of course tell them to leave.

I think this plays a huge part and factor to why Noah also left social media. He clearly doesn’t like stalkers. It feels to me he could have been a lot more careful about his actions and decisions.

Him being gone for a year isn’t bad. But my worry is that it’s going to become controversial because he’s been gone and hasn’t returned to social media.

I think there’s going to be a lot more drama on him and at him from fans that are wanting new music and wanting new albums being released rather than merch being sold.

There’s definitely going to be interesting discussions regarding him being gone in the next few months.

This is all becoming very recent. So there’s going to be more topics on it.

I feel like the next few weeks and the next year, right after tour, I think people are going to be bored from them announcing a lot of merch. It’s giving them the abandonment that they seek for an artist to do.

And since Noah isn’t being part of the fanbase anymore, that’s going to be an issue.

A New Era…

See what I did there… because it’s the eras tour… and the start of a new era for me fandom wise… I’ll let myself out 😭

Hi friends,

I know it’s definitely been a while since we had a little fireside chat of sorts. I never wanted to be that person who posted this big long rant with nasty call outs or annoyed remarks. But, I have to be honest. I am really, really growing to find writing for Hogwarts Legacy to be a chore. It used to come by so naturally and I’ve lost a lot of the enjoyment due to fandom fighting, the lack of a real update with the recent announcements and just some honestly, nasty anon asks I’ve received over the last few weeks.

I have a lot going on in my personal life right now and with that, it’s caused this fandom to feel more like a burden than an escape. I have surgery coming up and it just doesn’t feel like the supportive, loving, atmosphere it once did in so many ways… So for a while I think I’m going to shift gears until I find the energy to return to my works.

Having been on tumblr for a long time, I’m sick of starting over with every shift in fandom interest so I have decided to leave this tumblr, add to it and let it be a hybrid of my interests. I will return to working on my HL content, I just don’t have a set date for it.

To those who will likely depart this blog due to this announcement, thank you for the support. I hope life treats you well. To those willing to jump to a side project I’ve been working on, I’m excited to bring you all along. And to those who may soon find this blog from other spaces, welcome.

I just really need a break from what I’ve been doing and I’ve found inspiration elsewhere in the meantime.

Thank you all for being understanding and know that I have truly enjoyed the ride with this blog so far and hope to continue to do so as I post a project that I’ve been inspired by the finale season of the Bad Batch to write. I won’t give way too much, but I’ve got 50k words on my hard drive so far and I’m still going for our favorite mechanical engineer, pilot, riot racing, definitely not dead in my delulu: Tech

Once again, I hope this can be a discourse. Let me know your thoughts, opinions, etc. if you are willing to give other content a try and aren’t so familiar with the animated side of Star Wars I will gladly send you a guide I made for my best friend to aid. She has no knowledge of the animated series, and as someone who went to film school purely for my love of the clone wars, this return to the universe in many ways has felt like coming home. It’s where I have always felt the most safe. It’s where I always felt the most inspired. I am just overall so thankful to have found joy in writing once again as I feel like I lost it for a while there.

I am sorry if I have disappointed anyone, I just really need a break from HL creating until I sort out my life. I’ll still lurk on my lovely mutuals since I do love you all so dearly. @eternalremorse @writing-intheundercroft to name a few. I also owe this wonderful fandom for my best friend in the whole world. It’s a love of mine, right now I think we would be better on a break… if that makes sense…

That being said, I am so, so, SO thankful for the last year (plus a few months but who’s counting) with you all. I really do look forward to eventually coming back. Right now, I just would love to explore other avenues while I’m feeling so drained.

Do you have any writing tips? I'm a beginner writer and I'm kinda struggling

Not sure I'm the best person to ask for writing tips - I legit haven't worked on my newest wip for, like, 2 weeks now, but I will share what helps me (and what comes to mind)

Try to write a little bit every day. Even if it's just a sentence. Even if you are going to hate it the next day and are going to delete it to write something new. Just write, don't lose the flow - I'm very bad at following this but it does work when I do it, believe me

Are you good with dialogues and you find yourself stuck? Just focus on the dialogues, as if it was an rpg or smt. Leave the descriptions for later, like filling a sandwhich. Stick to what you know and like best when you're stuck, so you don't get frustrated

Are you writing a boring scene that's still necessary and are more excited to write another scene? Write the scene you're excited about first. Don't be afraid to jump around from scene to scene and up and down the wip. Sometimes it even helps you develop your idea more and give you more clarity

Research everything, for as weird as it might sound. Not only is it fun as fuck and gives you a lot of free inspiration, but having accurate shit in your story is fucking fun. For the Time War AU I researched bars in London in 1941 and chose a real location and that gave me an inspiration boost like anything

You've done everything I've said, but you're still stuck? Go to google and search for writing prompts. Make a game out of it. Find a way to put those prompts into your story. It keeps your brain juices flowing and it can give you free plot. Plus, it's hella fun. At least for me it is, I love that type of shit

Did you have an idea while you were in the bus heading somewhere? Write it down. On paper. On your phone. Just fucking write it. Don't lose it. Don't think "I will remember later". You won't. Just fucking write it down, it can be gold

This isn't exactly a writing advice, but a post-posting advice: Doesn't matter how many comments or kudos or whatever you get. Kudos and comments are not a measurement for how good your fic is. I've found some fanfics that barely have any views and are pure unfound gold. Besides, many people are shy readers and don't like to comment - and that's their right. Just don't lose faith because your numbers are low or something. That doesn't mean anything at all, just keep going

Fuck word count. Honestly, I hate that shit. It puts way too much pressure on you and can get your very frustrated very fast. Just go with the flow. Write as much as you can or as much as feels right. Don't give yourself a limit/goal. Just do what feels good

Do an outline. Honestly, for me that's the most fun part of the process. Not only does it help you keeping the plot consistent, it's just fun to dump all your ideas into boxes in a timeline. And you can always delete, add or move shit around as much as you like, even if you've already started writing. It's an amazing foundation and makes writing easier, in my opinion. Or maybe it's just my lizard brain that likes to organize stuff talking

The most important: Don't write what you think other people want. Write what you like. Write for you. You're your own target audience. You're creating something that you wish existed and didn't, so you took the bull by the horns and did it yourself. For you. If other people like it, good for them. But this is for you. You're writing something you think should exist in the world. Write your vision and have fun with it.

i hate it when i’m reading a fanfic that makes our sweet cinnamon roll adrien agreste a “bad boy” “playboy” or “bully”. like in some aspects, i get it. i’m a lover of the enemies to lovers trope. but let me run through the things that don’t make sense.

1) bad boy

okay so “bad boy” is just like weird, first of all. the writers usually make it so adrien has slept with all the girls at school or some shit. like why?? i get that you’re trying to make him emo and bad and cool, but you don’t have to make him do that.

2) playboy

same as a bad boy, but they make it even more exaggerated. plus, they (sometimes) make adrien say shit that’s totally out of character. like there will be sentences of dialogue where he literally is looking at a girl and says something about sex. or sexualizes them in some way.

3) bully

so obviously, they have adrien be a big ass bully and like physically push marinette to the ground and beat her up. and then they somehow change it to them like fucking or something. what? how the fuck. idk. guys.

anyway i feel like this post is not exactly directed to fanfic writers with miraculous, but just everyone who writes this kind of stuff. i get that you’re trying to create an enemies to lovers trope, i LOVE that, but there are better ways you can do this.

you can have them argue, create tension, bicker, miscommunication, just stuff that is actually excusable when they end up together.

i guess that im not even talking about miraculous anymore. i’m just confused because i’ve seen so many stories where the couples say the most FOUL things and do the most FOUL things to each other and just move past it and end up falling in love. how does that work?

i’m sorry if this post hurts anyone’s opinion. it should, but i hope it does not. i’m really confused. it’s like 1am and idk what i’m doing. i might delete this. might not. idk. but i need some true enemies to lovers. just stop romanticizing abuse, please??

IFHY - Tyler, The Creator [This story has a lot of themes of jealousy so how could I NOT add this! I was actually listening to this song as I was writing chapter 6, and it even inspired the title for it! I mainly was thinking of this song in Stan’s POV, especially in that scene with Craig and Kyle, but the more you learn about Kyle’s character and POV in future chapters, you start to realize that this song really fits him too. Come Here - Dominic Fike [Im pretty sure this counts as spoilers but not really, but this song is the inspiration for chapter 11’s title! We’re still in Kyle’s POV and I feel like it really fits his desire for Stan in his POV. Plus, this song might be short but it’s one hell of a banger! 10/10]

Mistakes Like This - Prelow [Love this song for real! I feel like some of the lyrics could fit IBMT Stan but others fit Kyle more, in the end, I decided to settle to Kyle’s POV. Actually, this one is the inspo for chapter 9’s title!It talks about drunken love spurs so it’s immediately STYLE coded to me!!!]

I'd like to give the "Corn Kidz" community-- no, I owe you guys a big apology... To piss and moan like that, and do other babyish things like that? Absolutely unacceptable, especially for someone my age.

First of all, I should not be treating stuff as "clutter" to be deleted/hidden because, "Oh, wah, it ain't doing as hot as other stuff." Firstly, what indirect message does that send to others? Oh, and here we were, acting like it's just "needless clutter" to empty from community-based sites...Yeah, behold the reasons why the apology to you all is necessary: promoting a rude/bad message that could poison the minds of beginning artists/creators and so on, and generally giving a middle finger to the people who liked the fan content I made.

Yeah, my hidden CK64 posts are "unprivated" now and other community sites will see "failed" items reposted-- but reposted once a month or so, to avoid just flooding them with content that used to be on there! No one likes old items to be spammed as "new"... I'm talking, Steam, Reddit and so on. As for more "Gallery/Archiving" sites like Deviantart or Archive of Our Own, they're still maintaining the works, as per usual, so no fixing of things there. Well, at least you can give me that I didn't need to throw so big of a tantrum that I completely wiped everything from the face of the earth, even if stuff stayed on those places because: "It's a gallery/archiving site, so it's meant to be preserved and not just be something worth engagement-- plus, jerk move to completely eradicate things like fan art for others off the said face of the earth."

I know I also need to give an explanation for why I decided to revert from employed individual to immature kindergartener, as well as the discontinuation of things for now… I think it’s clear I had/have some underlying issues that are tying themselves to our favorite “corn kidz”: I don’t notice the same issue if things don’t seem to be doing well in the Ed Edd n’ Eddy community (I doubt it’s realizing that one as more active/vast) or other ones, and having a mental breakdown over something not “doing well” isn’t typically a common occurrence for me ‘cause otherwise I’d be constantly freaking out whenever I post anything– fan-related or original. I think it has to do with the fear of never being able to earn my own spot in entertainment history, so to speak: the dream of possibly being the next Walt Disney or Scott Cawthon, with my own work to entertain a vast audience.

I mean, firstly: I don’t think I’ll be able to dedicate myself to a family nor kids, even if just from personal fears of how I could treat my spouse and children– especially if they’re kids I adopted from terrible lives… Don’t even get me started on how it’s financially risky to support kids properly in this day and age. That’s actually one reason Seve and Alexis appeal so much to me: they somehow manage to appeal to whatever maternal side I have, in addition to just being a fun and comforting little duo. So yeah, so much for creating something like that as a life’s purpose…

Secondly, I feel the pressure to achieve something great, and make up for every last disturbing or terrible thing I’ve ever done– and I consider myself to have a lot of such moments to atone for and need to actually benefit people. Therefore, panic and mental breakdown when it seems like all that realistically would take less time and effort– not as in it being “terrible” nor “unenjoyable,” but it realistically taking less of a process and all to make –performs better than something that took a few days or so for me to make. Seriously, I promise I am not saying things need to take a long time or something to be good/enjoyable, I strictly am talking about my personal matter of “Time vs Results” here.

Thirdly, I made the mistake of being too quick to push away negative emotions, like disappointment or fears of failure. I mean, Ukrainians died and had to flee their country because of the ongoing war, Russian people who had nothing to do with their government’s decision were basically short of being lynched when not simply ostracized/hated… I’m sorry, you’re upset because you didn’t get as many “likes” or “faves” as you hoped, Me? Stop feeling sorry for yourself and act more like the stoic man you wish you were (or portray the “manliness” you want to obtain as a girl). Now I know why I was told to “let yourself feel– no matter how ‘privileged’ or otherwise it may seem,” ‘cause otherwise you end up bottling it all up into an eventual mental breakdown like you’re working as a self-checkout host during a pandemic all over again. Another reason to try and achieve the dream: to make surviving that with a learned fear and all of customer-based violence/etc. seem more worthwhile. Don’t worry, I’m safely in the factory business now.

Fourth and fifth: the concerns that fan content doing poorly means no hope for purely original content, and the need to redeem myself as a creative type and prove I can make good content that’s worth people’s attention. Let’s just say, we didn’t need TikTok to have people insulting the work of beginners and all back then: like giving thumbs-up to comments like, “Tell me why anyone would like this…” or “favorite” your things as the account “IFaveBadArt.” So, just know I’m not being a hypocrite who doesn’t understand other artists���/etc’s pain, whenever I say: “It’s on you if you entirely give up art/creating because people are mean about your work.” I don’t say it to “victim blame” nor be a general jerk, I speak from experience.

With that, I conclude my apology for immature and unfair actions earlier to this community, especially those who my work meant something to. I think it’s best to take a step back for now and withhold from further CK64 content, but I will be posting one final additional fan art piece for Billie and Seve’s Adventures because I still need to exude that unease about Alexis; as that one piece with her and Claire wasn’t enough…

So, apparently Mobox87 has blocked me (not surprising or upsetting. Not like I'm going to have an outburst like I did in 2016) and messaged Kevonica about my post on Miles due to how she's brought up in it. I just want to clarify that she wouldn't have been brought up at all if she didn't put Miles on a pedestal for any issues that he causes with artists or with Mobox87 fans. So, yeah not my fault you get dragged into drama because Miles has to bring you into the argument for his defense.

But-

I will just say that I won't do another rant post on Mobox since I don't want to thrive on that to where she's becoming more uncomfortable being online than she already is. I don't support her IRL stalker and online stalker madbox91 harassment nor do I wish her to harm herself like she did before over Zombify's Twitter thread and feel that she needs to be taken off the internet by deleting her accounts all over social media.

I've come to a point where I don't care if Mobox87 apologizes because her and I will never be on good terms which the same could be said to her ex-friends that were once close to her. Plus, her apologies won't ever go into details on what she's done wrong since they always go on to say "I've done some bad things" (like what did you do?) or victimize herself saying "I was a manipulable person" (that neglects the fact that you made bad decisions on your own sense of mind not by others requests or demands). Either way, it's whatever at this point. I don't need 21 apologies for her to say publicly or privately to everyone.

Honestly, what goes on with Mobox87's art is whatever at this point. As long as she keeps explicit content on a second account that isn't advertised on her main then that's fine. Some may disagree but that's a post I'll talk about soon since I do want some understanding on what can work with mature story tellng.

Miles responded to my timeline post, specifically part 6 of my post cause I showed how he wanted to be in a committed relationship with a minor that was 16 who barely becoming 17.

Apparently he's been calling out Kevonica, Cagney and I out. Kev has been getting labeled as homophobic, racists and a pedophile with no evidence provided against her.

Most of the stuff said on his new account is just propaganda to make him look like he's the victim in the situation I called him out in. It's quite honestly no surprise he'd stoop so low as to label us as something we're not with out any evidence.

So just know that Miles is saying shit out of his ass.

One example being that he posted on his Instagram account "human_anthony_dust" and reposted on his new Tumblr account, calling me out as a pedo still and lying about how I "claimed false age" to his OC that he bought from Mobox87.

Which again he never announced the age of the OC publicly. Even then you can age up characters in drawings but I didn't since the OC is 30 years old or in his 30s. He's complaining over nothing.

Vinsnake is literally William Afton created as a fantasy character for Faces of Nothing. William Afton is a character in his 30s in which Mobox87 herself made Vinsnake around that exact age as it was originally attended.

Again, Miles never made the character 16 years old until he bitched about my drawing in response for harassing Yuriviq on DeviantArt.

Ironic though-

You made a character 16 years old last minute while you were trying to get with someone who you said was a 16 year old.

Even more ironic, that most of the OCs you kept the longest were kid OCs from Mobox87 while the adult OCs you owned were sold off first.

Doesn't really help your case after admitting you wanted to be with someone under 18.

i love learning about things a week late through youtube recommendations from random channels i've never seen before

i suppose i can't really gripe because i'm still largely logged out and wouldn't have heard otherwise so maybe I should take it for what it is

i know i'm a random person who writes as a hobby so I don't necessarily "owe" anything to people online, but y'all have been so sweet to me and I feel it would be unfair to keep dropping off the face of the planet like I have been, plus, I have been stewing over quite a bit of my thoughts these past few months and making a large "get all my thoughts out in a word vomit" post is a good way to A.) sort out my shit and B.) to procrastinate homework

college is BEATING MY ASS and i'm not even at the harder junior/senior year type stuff so even if my writer's block wasn't the worst it's ever been I highly doubt I would be writing anything anyway. i cannot say for certain when I'll be able to get back (it seems the universe is tailored specifically to punch me in the face whenever I have the slightest inclination to do so) but i will say it is always on my mind. i don't ever want to give up writing fully because of how many good things it's brought me but i want to be mature and say that it has taken a backseat in my life.

i still don't regret the things I've created and i will always be thankful for the experiences I've had + the friends I've made (even if we haven't talked in a while :') sorry guys) BUT this situation has just become the nail in the coffin for me in terms of what i want to do with my ds/mp and other adjacent fics. i can't say for certain what I'll go through and orphan/keep or just outright delete (WIPS/unfinished series will probably get deleted is what I've decided so far) so this is a BIG WARNING sign right here and now: if there are any ds/mp fics of mine you are fond of, please go and save them now. even if you think the one you really love is "safe" it's better to be cautious and have it yourself than hope for the best outcome.

now's a good time to mention that i have been feeling similar feelings toward my fl0wer husb4nds fics (gonna come out and be honest: i don't particularly care for sc0tt anymore, sorry) so if you like those you should also search them out. i think a hard majority if not all of them will be orphaned, so they'll still be up, but it never hurts to be able to read something while offline anyway

however, due to the aforementioned Important Adult Stuff(TM), i won't be able to get to the whole Properly deleting/orphaning process for a hot minute. that does not mean you should put off saving my fics because my brain could decide one night that i HAVE to do it IMMEDIATELY, but i can promise that it's not happening tonight (might hold off for at least a week just to give people time to see this post).

TSALP, my pride and joy, is perfectly safe and fine. when i think about whenever ill be able to write again, this series is the First thing to pop up in my mind. i have so many things i want to do with that series (and h3rmitcr4ft as a whole) that make me smile despite all that has happened surrounding mc/yt. someone will need to threaten me with death to make me even consider giving that up. hell, even taking a step back, i can say that i will never fully let go of mc/yt. i straight-up have tickets to go see tommy's america show later this month (send my dad well wishes as he's the one taking me LMAO) .

remember to drink water, take breaks, tell your friends you love them etc. I'm terrible at giving advice since I'm a bonafide mess of a person, but i will say that the best thing you can do for each other is support one another. i've always been a bigger fan of giving support to those who are hurt than trying to go and cause more pain to the people that you can argue "deserve" it. the people you care about are going to be with you much longer than the assholes, so be sure to put more energy into focusing on them than the ones that don't even deserve your scorn.

HYBE/BigHit exists to make money on the backs of their artists. It makes ZERO sense for them to hold any of the members back.

My Mom hates me

I (25f) always have disputes with my (59f) mother.

Whenever I don't do something the same as she wants, she gets pretty acidic and even if I do it the same way as she wants, she somehow always has something to complain about.

Example of today:

Because of the beautiful weather, I should hang my duvet out of my window, but the problem is that the winter garden roof is right in front of my window and I can't hang it out because it is a more or less flat level. So I decided to hang the blanket over the edge of the winter garden roof, mind you at one point that was quite clean (in my opinion) at least)

And if I had hung the blanket directly out of the window, she would have been dirty or even dirty anyway.

I also had planned (and also discussed with my mother) that I would wash the blanket this weekend anyway.

Nevertheless, she then sniffed me about half an hour later and she also found it very shit that I sucked at the same time as I was sucking.

We have a solar system that produces a very nice amount of electricity in very sunny weather and I thought that it would already be finished with sucking because I hadn't heard her vacuum cleaner anymore and then started sucking my room.

However, she still has a problem with it because she apparently continued to suck again after a moment (which I couldn't hear because of my loud sucker) and also ran the washing machine (which I didn't know anything about because I couldn't see or hear her from my room on the first floor and that I was not explicitly told that it would be hired)

In addition, she also complained because I took a break when sucking (I have a cold and don't have enough endurance to create everything at once)

(My room consists of two adjacent rooms of which I usually only do one because I am more in this, but this time I wanted to do both and only took a break in between)

After I had explained Mama that, she told me that I always had an excuse.

I then started crying (no idea why, sometimes happens during such confrontations) and Mama asked in a rather aggressive tone why I would cry now even though there is no reason for it and that we would only have a reasonable discussion.

(Incidentally, the howling is nothing that I have an influence, I don't because it is to cry afterwards or something, I have zero control about whether or when this happens)

In the surplus, she also titled such moments as "psycho shit" and attempted manipulation.

Incidentally, she mostly teemers my attempts to explain and or counter arguments or ignores them entirely.

I often have the feeling of being shouted at in these moments, even though she only "talks to me very quietly" (her words)

I don't even want to do something in the household anymore because it is almost always wrong or not right.

And almost every interaction with her consists that she tells me something what to do, or indicate that something is wrong/dirty or somehow not correct.

That would be okay, but everything is just too much, I don't want to come down to her or talk to her.

When I come home and your car is not there, I'm already relieved.

Is probably not your fault, I'm probably just over -sensitive or overreact or something.

Also, i haven't stopped crying the whole time while writing/translating this and my mom came in and asked me in a really passive aggressive tone what was up and why i am still crying.

I told her to leave and she left.

Anon, I am saying this very nicely, but everyone in the RE tags are not your friends. Shared interest doesn't equal friendship. This isn't a website you can make money on, so focusing on engagement and post numbers is a null point.

That said, this means you can post whatever you want! You're not stuck to a theme or a fandom or how personal you get or anything!

Dropping something different/argumentative in a fandom tag isn't like you're on the announcement speaker in high school telling people off. If someone tries to annoy you or harass you, you can choose to engage them honestly and elaborate, ignore them, or you can block them. I've found sometimes when I do engage people honestly, they don't like my tone and block me. These are good things. Everyone is able to curate their experience, and honestly, if they don't want to talk to me about this stuff, then I probably wouldn't want to talk to THEM either.

All that stuff about people receiving a ton of anon hate for ships and opinions and shit? I haven't seen any of it. Why? Because I've been pretty vocal and annoying since I first got here, and those 2-3 people sending that stuff definitely have me blocked by now. The 10+ hater asks people get are always, without fail, just a couple people being annoying and wanting to frame themselves as an army. As you can see, there's no limit to how many asks you can send in one sitting. It's very classic 2014 tumblr behavior.

That said, I strongly recommend you and everyone else to be posting your opinions/interpretations in the tags. It not only keeps the tag from being swamped with half xreader fic I keep having to find new ways to block, but it'll encourage others (including me) to look at scenes and dynamics differently as we read. Different interpretations, even read in passing, do fuel and influence fandom as much as fanart and fanfic. The more opinions in the water, the more art people end up creating. Making people think, giving varying viewpoints on the same scenes/relationships, and organizing your own thoughts by putting them down on paper also lets you have more enjoyment of the story.

If people don't agree with or like what you write, they will either ignore your post or block you, but you're not looking for "Yes Men"! You're not going to get bullied either since anons make themselves look dumb as hell on this website all the damn time. You have the power to post or block as much as anyone else. Abuse it like me. The people you want to talk to will meet you at the level you're speaking at.

Plus, every anon who sends something always desperately checks the blog over and over to see if it's been posted. If for some reason you do get hate asks and quietly delete them, imagine how desperate they'll start acting. It'll be so sad and pathetic lol.
