Is there any new information or what the pages are about for Dabi’s chapter?
Also i read your things about Toga. That part was always weird to me how she had a really good relationship with Twice and even dynamics with the others like Compress, Shigiraki, her moment with Dabi. And then it’s like only Uraraka mattered? I knows it’s to show because she’s like, her counterpart in the manga, buts it’s like HK through all this potential family dynamics and friendships into the LOV since even Kuroguri mentioned of Shigiraki staying with his friends, Compress being loyal to the LOV, how even AFO mentioned them as Shigiraki’s friends. Only to act like it didn’t matter?
I have Dabi's pages:
Tumblr media
This is the part where new information is normally given for other characters, but in Dabi's there is nothing new:
Tumblr media
Here is page 2 of the recap (btw, they have on it Geten, Twice, AFO, Endeavor, but somehow Shouto never made it onto these pages) But whatever. these are put together by an editing team, not Horikoshi.
Tumblr media
Also, in general there is not much new on the villains, other than the Q&A. So it's also possible that Horikoshi just didn't get this far when he was revising this book. Since he gave info on pretty minor characters - but the order is New Heroes (Class A and B, plus seniors), civilians, Pro Heroes, random pro hero related characters, and only after that come the villains.
So I'm thinking he ran out of time.

BNHA Todoroki family related settei for season 6
So I've gotten myself the dvd of the series and I thought to share the settei that are related to the Todoroki family.
Enji appears on the cover of the 2nd dvd booklet, which contains Touya's settei and Geten's
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
...in the 3rd we've a young Rei and a young Touya...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's worth to mention there's a mistake in these settei. The ones with tiny Touya say he's 5 but this is not possible. That tiny Touya appears before Natsuo's birth, probably before Natsuo was conceived since those scenes are prior to Enji telling Rei he wants another kid. Natsuo was conceived when Touya was still 3 and had birth when Touya had turned 4. Long story short, we didn't get to see 5 years old Touya. After Natsuo's birth the next we see him is when Shouto was conceived, by then he was 8 but the booklet doesn't contain his settei for tha age.
As for Geten, it's nice we finally get his settei but there are no images for how he appeared in season 5 (with his hood up).
Still that's great to have the young and tiny Touya's settei as well as one settei of Rei. Too bad that more settei about Rei weren't included as she changed as she aged and it would have been nice to see it.

A wonder thought I just had: I wonder if there are higher populations of quirkless people among highly insular groups (who can be prone to inbreeding) like the Amish in BHNA.
Well according to Geten his family--a branch of the Himuras-- have been largely insular for Quirk related reasons so I suppose it's possible

Art credit: Apocrypha, Dabi, Twice / Twitterまとめ9 - pixiv
There's a lot of Catholic guilt over on Twitter lately about "How did you feel when you found out this ship be related?" I was like....I shipped it after I found out.
Virgin Anti-Shipper: Creates secret side account to post incest. Posts their two-dick cockvore mermaid-eggs-in-ass omegaverse ugly-ass top-surgery scarred furry bs on main because it's socially acceptable.
Chad Kharmii: Posts incest on main account. Doesn't post that other crap at all because it's stupid.
(Side note: I like the idea of someone being into this ship before Geten's face reveal -AND- before the reveal they are possibly related. Possibly. Someone did an in-depth post about how the Himuras aren't really inbred/practicing incest)

The Violet Regiment Advisers are high-ranking members of the Paranormal Liberation Front, serving under Dabi and Geten. They played significant roles in both the Paranormal War and the subsequent Second War, showcasing diverse Quirks and personalities.
Dabi's Advisers (Violet Regiment)
Dabi's #1 Adviser (Shark Adviser)
Debut: Chapter 258 (Manga)
Quirk: Unnamed Shark Heteromorphic Quirk
Description: This individual is the #1 ranked Adviser for Dabi. He possesses a distinct shark-like appearance, characterized by a deranged Slasher Smile and Savage Piercings on his ears and mouth that emphasize his unhinged demeanor. In the manga, he wears a Domino Mask, while in the anime, his eyes are constantly shadowed.
Role: He participated in the Paranormal War and was among the Advisers who successfully escaped from the mountain villa during the chaos. There's an "Ambiguously Related" detail suggesting a visual similarity to a later hired gun of All For One's, though any actual relation remains unknown.
Dabi's #2 Adviser (Gas Adviser)
Debut: Chapter 258 (Manga)
Quirk: Unnamed Gas Quirk
Description: Dabi's #2 ranked Adviser, he typically wears a modified scuba suit that gives him a Nightmare Face stylized like a skull. His Quirk allows him to form purple gas from his hands and use it for "Not Quite Flight," allowing himself and others to float. He is largely a "Quiet One" and "The Stoic," even amidst chaos.
Role and Impact: He was a participant in the Paranormal War and managed to escape the mountain villa. Critically, he is infamous as the Hero Killer responsible for finishing off a wounded Midnight during the battle against the Liberation Front, famously stating, "She's mine." This act had a "Small Role, Big Impact" on the overall narrative.
Second War: In the Second War, he was tasked with leading a squad to the Jaku Ruins to free Gigantomachia. During this confrontation, he displayed a "Social Darwinist" worldview, gloating about All For One's unstoppable power and the "law of the jungle."
Fate: He ultimately faced "Laser-Guided Karma," being brought down and defeated by Mina Ashido, who had a close bond with Midnight.
Dabi's #3 Adviser
This Adviser is listed as part of the Violet Regiment but no specific details or actions are provided in the given text.
Geten's Advisers (Violet Regiment)
Geten's #1 Adviser (Bald Adviser)
Debut: Chapter 258 (Manga)
Quirk: Unknown
Description: Geten's #1 ranked Adviser is depicted as an old bald man in a business suit, fitting the "Bald of Evil" and "Evil Old Folks" archetypes for a top-ranking PLF member.
Role: He participated in the Paranormal War among the Advisers who confronted the Heroes.
Geten's #2 Adviser (Pink Masked Adviser)
Debut: Chapter 258 (Manga)
Quirk: Unnamed Heteromorphic Quirk
Description: This #2 ranked Adviser is a young woman who wears a modified mask covering the lower half of her face, identifying her as a "Malevolent Masked Woman." She has pink hair and a bindi, leading to an "Ambiguously Related" possibility with Twice's #3 Adviser. Despite her seemingly human appearance, she is listed as a Heteromorph.
Resilience: She is noted for being "Made of Iron." In the manga, she survived severe attacks from Edgeshot and Midnight (including pierced lungs and sleeping gas) and was later shown among the escaped PLF members in the Dark Hero arc, showcasing incredible durability. In the anime, a generic grunt replaced her in that scene, but she was still shown as having escaped.
Role: She participated in the Paranormal War and successfully escaped the initial raid.
Geten's #3 Adviser (Fox Adviser)
Debut: Chapter 258 (Manga)
Quirk: Unknown
Description: Geten's #3 ranked Adviser is a Heteromorphic fox man who embodies a "Badass in a Nice Suit," wielding a katana as his weapon of choice. He expresses a "Capitalism Is Bad" sentiment, disdainfully calling Heroes "mammonists."
Role: He was among the higher-ups who escaped the raid on the PLF and joined in the Second War, being scattered across various battlefields. In the anime, he was sent to Okuto Island.
Fate: His fate in the manga is ambiguous ("What Happened to the Mouse?"), as he was last seen being shoved into a Warp Gate. While implied to have been defeated, it's unclear where or how. In the anime, he was explicitly defeated and arrested at Okuto Island. He also has an "Ambiguously Related" visual similarity to an "Ordinary Woman" Midoriya saves in the Dark Hero arc in the anime.

Kamen Rider Deku Chapter 19: Possible Wars
Previous Chapter / AO3 / Master List
In a meeting room separate from the one the Meta Liberation Army's executives talked in before, everyone but Re-Destro is sitting together because of Skeptic's emergency call.
"What's so important that you called us here but not the Grand Commander, Skeptic?" Trumpet asks calmly while Curious gives the lanky man a dangerous smile.
"This better not be some a coup discussion. It would make a good scoop for the warriors, though. In-fighting among the executives, one got too confident." She states while making a square with her hands and looking at Skeptic through it.
Hearing this causes Skeptic to scoff at them. He then speaks in a stern yet condescending manner that convenes his annoyance with the two.
"Obviously not. I don't know why Re-Destro keeps you two around if you can't figure out why this meeting is so important." Skeptic says before playing the video of Re-Destro's confrontation with Giran for the other two to see.
When they watch the video, Trumpet's eyes narrow while Curious' smile seems to become more dangerous than before. Seeing this reaction, Skeptic nods.
"I'm glad you fools finally see the problem, and I don't have to explain it." He grunts at the two.
"So, do you already know who this person is? And I mean besides how he works for our sponsor and seems to have control of his Nomu form." Trumpet clarifies before Skeptic can say anything, rolling his eyes slightly as he does so.
"He's known as Giran." Surprisingly, it wasn't Skeptic who said this but Curious, having recognized him instantly.
"I'm glad at least one of you won't ask stupid questions," Skeptic mutters as he and Trumpet look toward Curious.
The only female executive smiles at her friends and co-workers before explaining what she knows.
"Giran is a former underground broker who disappeared some years ago. Many thought he was dead. It would seem he was the person I met but had no recollection of his face." Curious explains to the two calmly.
"So, his disappearance must relate to the Nomu. Judging by his background, I guess he's the one who's been dealing the Nomu Coins out for all these years. It's impressive that he's done this without getting caught for so long. It's also amazing that you were the first to get substantial evidence against him, Skeptic." Trumpet compliments his ally with a smile.
"I don't need your empty compliments. Everything you said is obvious to anyone paying attention. We need to focus on how we deal with him." Skeptic says in irritation.
"Then what's your plan?" Curious asks as she rests her head on one of her hands.
"So far, I've considered taking advantage of Re-Destro's plan to give the returned Proto Driver to Geten. We could have him fight against Giran and see how well that goes." Skeptic states.
"That's a hazardous plan, Skeptic. Judging by the video, Giran is strong, and there's no guarantee that Geten could handle him. We also don't know what might happen if the Proto Driver is used against them." Trumpet pokes holes in Skeptic's poor plan, causing the other executive to scowl.
"Of course, I know that. I brought you two here to help me develop something better. If we don't, that bastard will keep using and attacking Re-Destro." Skeptic tells him.
Hearing this causes the other two to nod. However, none of the three can think of a sound way to handle Giran. Not many in the army can survive a confrontation against Re-Destro. But Giran dealt with the force from his attack like they were nothing in the video. Even if Re-Destro didn't take the man seriously, that's still a massive feat to the executives.
"Could you handle him with a few of our more elite members being boosted by your Meta Ability?" The only female executive asks Trumpet.
Trumpet muses over it momentarily and puts a hand to his chin as he does so.
"It's possible. The problem is that Nomus are incredibly powerful. It usually takes top heroes or those Kamen Riders to defeat one. And those are the common ones we see. This man is clearly far more powerful than a normal one. That, in itself, is worrying." Trumpet calmly tells the two.
"Then, should we consider making a squad of Nomu from our commanders?" Skeptic asks.
"That's a possible idea. But I'm sure you already realize the same problems that one has with your previous one." Trumpet tells him.
Skeptic nods, and it's Curious' turn to consider an idea.
"Should we consider having the warriors ambush him when we know he's here for a meeting with Re-Destro? Or possibly using my Meta Ability to attack?" She asks while raising a palm.
"That may also be a poor idea. As much as I dislike what's happening, we may not want to risk angering this Giran too much. We're already at risk of being discovered by the heroes because of these tests we're doing. It would be bad if we had to fight a two-front war because we killed the organization that's giving us these Nomu by killing their messenger. Especially since we don't know their strength or where Giran ranks among their people." Trumpet calmly explains to the other two executives.
"So, you're saying we should continue to allow Giran to attack him?" Skeptic growls at Trumpet for his words.
"Of course not. I'm simply saying this isn't the kind of decision we should make for ourselves. We may want to try talking to Re-Destro about what to do. This decision might affect the Meta Liberation Army's cause. It's not something we can make on a whim." Trumpet warns while pointing at the two.
Hearing this causes the other two to pause, but Curious brings something else up.
"How do we know the Grand Commander isn't being controlled by them right now? Or that Giran wouldn't find out about this while erasing the memory of his existence?" She calmly asks Trumpet.
Hearing this causes Trumpet to pause. That's the problem with mental-based Meta Abilities. They're abilities that are easier to hide and fake compared to others. It makes it difficult to know how to handle them. This is especially true for someone like Giran. His Meta Ability is boosted, and he likely gained another Meta Ability that goes well with it. There's not enough information to go off of for them to make a decision.
"We may have to hold off on doing anything for now and observe for any changes with him. If we don't notice anything that indicates he's in control, we may talk to him about this situation." Trumpet finally states before looking around to see what his compatriots think about his plan.
Curious seems like she's willing to accept. Skeptic is more reluctant but ends up agreeing in the end.
"We must play this carefully if we don't want to risk losing everything we've worked for. So, let's not do anything without the others knowing." Trumpet warns them before looking at Skeptic specifically.
"Speaking of which, how is Grand Commander Re-Destro now? I know you have something observing him right now." Trumpet tells him and Skeptic types away on his computer.
He then turns the computer around and shows live footage of Re-Destro in a meeting with Geten via the security cameras.
-------------------
In his office, Re-Destro shows Geten the Proto Driver and a new blank Nomu Coin. The parka-wearing Meta Liberation Army ace stares at it with eyes of curiosity.
"Did the tests go well?" Geten asks unknowingly annoying Skeptic due to what he perceives as an unneeded question.
"Quite. We know this device will enhance your capabilities and let you keep control. As such, it should be safe for you to wield. This device will allow you to become far stronger than before, Geten. Maybe even strong enough to fight All Might." Re-Destro tells Geten with a charming smile, causing Geten to grow excited.
"I will make sure to use this to its full extent, Grand Commander," Geten promises Re-Destro with a bow.
"I know. But I will give you a small warning just to be safe. We don't know what this will do to people whose Meta Abilities are awakened. So, we don't know what may happen to you if you're not careful. So, don't do anything reckless. We still have time before we need to do anything. We can afford for you to take this slowly." Re-Destro advises Geten.
Geten isn't happy about this worry but gives a respectful nod anyway. Still not convinced, Re-Destro says something else.
"We can afford for you to take this slowly. However, we can't afford to lose you, Geten. You are the one who will lead our cause into a successful future." Re-Destro tells Geten to make him more willing to listen.
His words do the trick. Geten seems happy to hear Re-Destro's compliments and nods to him.
"As you wish, Grand Commander. I will try to be careful while using this device. I will use it to grow strong enough to contest even All Might for our cause." Geten promises before jumping through the window, much to Re-Destro's irritation.
"Oh, for crying out loud. Why must he keep doing that? I now worry about what he'll do if he can master that Driver." Re-Destro says while rubbing his temples.
-------------------
He doesn't know that two of the three executives are snickering at his misery while Skeptic sighs.
"It's always funny to see the aftermath of when Geten leaves a meeting. He enjoys showing off his strength too much." Trumpet says with a good-natured smile while Curious is still snickering.
"That would be an amusing article to write. Meta Liberation Army's ace hates windows and loves showing off." She muses over the article's name.
"Can we get back on track now? Geten has received the Proto Driver. You two better understand what that means." Skeptic grunts at the two amused executives.
"It means that things are likely to change soon. We may be debuting sooner than we expected, depending on the results. All Might has yet to retire still." Trumpet points out.
"Do you think Re-Destro will take that chance, though? Despite being a hero for almost fifty years, All Might seems as undaunting as ever. There's the chance he'll be another case like Yoroi Musha and continue his career for another ten to twenty years. Maybe even longer." Curious asks Trumpet with a raised eyebrow, her smile slipping slightly as she thinks about the man who has been the main reason behind their reluctance to take action.
"I have doubts, but you can never be entirely sure with the Grand Commander. His emotions and thought process can change on the dime due to his Meta Ability." Trumpet tells her with a shrug before getting a scoff from Skeptic.
"Please. I doubt Re-Destro will risk his ancestor's dream failing again from impatience. I'm sure he'll know when the time is right for us to strike." Skeptic waves them off.
"Speaking of which, has there been any word from Slidin' Go and Shinonome about problems within the Hero Public Safety Commission?" Trumpet asks, having been informed about what's happening between them recently due to the risk of the M.L.A. being discovered.
"Shinonome plans to get him out of Musutafu and to Deika City safely. She can handle the cleanup by herself for now." Skeptic calmly dismisses Trumpet's worries.
"It's unfortunate that things have taken a turn like this. Slidin' Go was one of our more effective spies." Curious says in disappointment as she looks at Skeptic.
Skeptic scoffs at her words before saying.
"It's their fault for trying to use a brat because of his past with one of the other Kamen Riders. It would have been better if they used one of our affiliated heroes to show how weak they are." Skeptic tells her, but Curious waves him off.
"Oh, come on. You can't tell me you aren't interested in those two boys. Even with the Kamen Rider equipment, defeating all those Nomu and our warriors is no joke. I want to interview them at least once and get the scoop for my readers." Curious tells him with a slightly demented grin as she imagines talking to Izuku and Shiki.
"Please. Deku is a clear novice in fighting and almost relies solely on his equipment. There's nothing special about him besides the Kamen Rider system he uses. You're wasting your time by wanting to interview them." Skeptic tells her, but Curious doesn't look deterred by his words.
"I suppose that's something we can agree on. Deku shouldn't be a large threat to us for now despite having beaten at least two of our Nomu on his own. However, I do recommend still being cautious of him. You never know what the new generation will bring." Trumpet tells the two politically to end this conversation before any more arguments can break out.
Skeptic looks dismissive at his warning before picking up his laptop and leaving the room. Trumpet and Curious watch him go momentarily before looking at each other.
"So, were you serious about interviewing the Kamen Riders?" Trumpet asks her, deciding to make some more small talk before he leaves since he has the time.
"Of course. I was being honest when I said I find them interesting. Two kids without powers get equipment and become incredible heroes. It's like something out of modern fiction. I find myself fascinated with them. If possible, I'd like to have one interview if given the chance." Curious tells him with an easy-going smile.
Trumpet nods at this.
"I can understand that. Maybe you'll get lucky and have the chance to during our revolution. I'm sure there will be time during the early stages if we can defeat them." Trumpet tells her with a slight nod.
"Oh, I hope so," Curious says with an excited grin while imagining her interview with them.
-------------------
In the Hero Public Safety Commission Musutafu branch's main building, Izuku and Shiki enter one of the training rooms some of their heroes use.
Shiki wears a black tank top and sports sweats with a duffel bag over his shoulder, while Izuku wears a light blue short-sleeve and dark green shorts.
Izuku looks at the sleek, high-tech training room in amazement while Shiki walks into it with the calmness of someone already used to it. Once inside, Shiki drops the duffel and pulls some training mitts out.
"Alright, Midoriya. Let's start with some basic training mitts." Shiki says while putting them on and turning to a still-distracted Izuku.
Izuku jumps at his words and sees Shiki raising the mitts in preparation to get hit.
"So, do I just hit you?" Izuku asks after a moment.
"Yeah. I want to see how you punch." Shiki nods while looking at Izuku calmly.
Izuku nods and walks toward Shiki. The other teen keeps the mitts close together and near his face in preparation for a punch. After taking time to adjust his form to a somewhat decent fighting stance, Deku throws a slightly awkward punch into one of the mitts. Shiki's hand slightly budges, but not by much.
"Not bad. We at least know the strength training is working." Shiki says before telling Izuku to keep going.
Izuku throws a few more punches into the mitt before freezing in shock as Shiki suddenly moves and throws a punch with his other hand that connects with Izuku's head and causes him to fall to the floor.
"Ow. What was that for?" Izuku asks Shiki as the other teen stands over him.
"Reflex test. It's something my trainer did on our first day of training." Shiki tells Izuku calmly while taking off the training mitts and setting them back in the bag.
After putting them away and giving Deku a second to recover from the surprise attack, Shiki speaks again.
"Have you had any training before today?" He asks Izuku with a calculating yet curious look.
"Not really? I've seen a few videos on how to fight." Izuku says in embarrassment as he rubs the back of his head awkwardly.
Hearing this causes Shiki to nod.
"I thought so. Your movements are still sloppy and undisciplined. In that case, I think you did well." Shiki tells him, surprising Izuku slightly.
"Alright. Let's start with your fighting stance." Shiki tells Izuku as he walks next to the scene before getting into a basic fighting stance where he holds his fists close to his head and spreads his legs.
"Copy my stance." Shiki orders, causing Izuku to try and quickly take the same pose.
"Keep that pose," Shiki tells Izuku before dropping his and circling Izuku, looking for any mistakes.
Shiki finds a couple that he quickly helps Izuku adjust. These being his legs are too spread out, making the pose look slightly awkward, and his main hand is too close. After the adjustments, Shiki nods.
"Good. Now throw a couple of punches from that stance." Shiki orders while trying to remember what else he was taught to help Izuku.
Izuku quickly throws a couple of punches and Shiki observes it. After a moment, Shiki stops him.
"Alright. That's enough. Do you know how to throw a jab?" Shiki asks.
Izuku quickly shakes his head and Shiki sighs before returning to his fighting stance. He quickly throws a couple of jabs while making sure Izuku is watching. After those quick punches, he looks at Izuku.
"While throwing your punch, turn the fist so the knuckle is aimed at the sky and the palm faces the floor. And try to make it so your shoulder protects your chin while throwing the punch. It needs to be quick going forward and back. The jab is basic but useful in a fight." Shiki explains to Izuku while slowly demonstrating the punch so Izuku can get a good look at every detail of how to throw the punch.
Izuku nods and tries to replicate the motions of Shiki's punch. Shiki watches it before demonstrating the motions again. The two spend a while doing this. Izuku tries to replicate the movements while Shiki continues to show them. Eventually, Izuku starts doing pretty good at the basic movements.
While Izuku continues to practice, Shiki pulls out a couple of water bottles from the duffel bag. He throws one to Izuku, and the two take a short break.
"You did good." Shiki compliments before taking another sip.
"You think so?" Izuku asks with a happy expression.
"Yeah, just keep practicing, maybe do it in front of a mirror. You'll get it down after a while. We still have plenty of time. Let me teach you a few other moves." Shiki offers, causing Izuku to nod with a smile.
He's happy to have someone willing to teach him about this. It's nice the person is the same age, too.
"Luckily, we won't have to worry about the condition training. Thanks to All Might already handling it for us. So, I can focus on teaching you different moves." Shiki states before standing up and getting into his fighting stance.
He then throws a roundhouse kick. However, he isn't done. He quickly regains his balance after the kick and uses his former kicking foot to hold his body up while unleashing a back kick with his other foot. Izuku is amazed at the swift combo Shiki demonstrates while the other teen looks at him.
"And those were a roundhouse kick and back kick," Shiki explains to Izuku.
Izuku quickly stands up and prepares to get into a fighting stance before Shiki holds up a hand to stop him.
"What are you doing? I don't want you to try using them yet. I want you to do them while in your Kamen Rider form." Shiki tells Izuku, confusing the other teen.
"The Kamen Rider system gives you an enhanced sense of balance, and rabbits have strong feet. So, I figured I'd show you a few kicks, and you can try them in your Kamen Rider form. I don't think you could do those kicks without transforming anyway. It takes practice and a good sense of balance." Shiki warns him.
Nodding, Izuku grabs the Hero Driver and Rabbit Power Coin from the duffel bag before transforming. After transforming, he tries repeating Shiki's combo. As Shiki thought, Izuku found it a lot easier in his Kamen Rider form due to the enhanced balance it gives. However, he still couldn't seem to launch the quicks with the same quick succession that Shiki did due to lacking experience and practice.
"Good." Shiki nods as he sees Izuku's enhanced skills.
"You're right. I can do a lot more with the armor on." Izuku agrees with Shiki as he stops the kicks and looks at his armored hands.
"The kicks also looked strong, too," Shiki notes in agreement with Izuku.
With that done, Shiki decides to move on to teach Izuku some more punches—specifically, variations of the jab. Izuku's a surprisingly quick study. He gets the basic movements down pretty quickly from Shiki's examples.
-------------------
Meanwhile, while the two are downstairs training, Fumihito is in his office, looking at a hero he borrowed for this investigation.
The hero is a scruffy-looking tall and slender man with shaggy, long black hair, light skin, unkempt facial hair, a sharp chin, and baggy eyes with black pupils. The man is dressed in a baggy black outfit with a long-sleeve shirt and matching pants with the legs stuffed in black boots. Around his waist is a utility belt with bluish-white pouches on it. The most noticeable thing about this man is the grey scarf wrapped around his neck multiple times.
"Thank you for coming, Erasure Head. I'm sorry to take you away from teaching like this." Fumihito apologizes to the man with a slight bow of his head.
"Let's get down to why you asked Nezu for me." Erasure Head says in a no-nonsense manner as he looks at Fumihito.
"Right. You're going to want to sit down for this." Fumihito warns him while motioning for Erasure Head to sit.
After the man sits down, Fumihito grabs a book and slides it across the desk for Erasure Head to see. The hero picks it up to see the red cover of the latest version of the Meta Liberation War autobiography. Erasure Head's eyes narrow as he looks at the book before looking up at Fumihito.
"Is this about the first-day speech I give to my students?" Erasure Head calmly asks the man with a raised eyebrow, causing Fumihito to shake his head.
"No. I don't care about your feelings toward how the school system operates. Nezu already gave me his guarantee that you're clean. What I'm worried about is other heroes." Fumihito calmly states while looking at Erasure Head with a piercing gaze.
"Other heroes?" Erasure Head asks, not lowering his eyebrow as he stares at the massive man.
"Yes. I'll be straight with you. Recently, the Hero Public Safety Commission's investigation of the Nomu has led us to believe the creators are working with or are part of a new Meta Liberation Army." Fumihito calmly explains, causing Erasure Head's eyes to widen slightly before he quickly cools his features again.
"A new Meta Liberation Army?" He asks, causing Fumihito to nod.
"Yes. And we have reason to believe Slidin' Go is a member of this new Meta Liberation Army. Him and one of our own." Fumihito explains while pulling out pictures of Shinonome Mio and Slidin' Go for Erasure Head to see.
"So, you took me away from teaching at U.A. to have me investigate your lead?" Erasure Head asks as he picks up the photos.
"Just Slidin' Go for now. See if you can find anything to prove he's part of this organization. If possible, see if you can find where this new Meta Liberation Army is." Fumihito requests.
"I'm guessing you want me specifically because of my Quirk?" Erasure Head asks, causing Fumihito to nod.
"You'd be right. If it's a new Meta Liberation Army, we don't know how many people they have or how long they've trained their Quirks. You'll be able to better deal with anyone that may try to stop you." Fumihito calmly explains to the man, causing Erasure Head to nod.
"Logical. Is there anything else I should know?" Erasure Head asks.
"Be careful. We don't know what you could be facing if there is a new Meta Liberation Army and they have Nomu. Your Quirk may work on most others, but that doesn't mean they don't have some tricks. Also, we know about one Nomu you may have to deal with. It's an octopus or squid one with mental and telekinetic abilities." Fumihito explains to Erasure Head, causing the hero to nod.
"Alright. I'll watch my back." Erasure Head nods and is about to head out before Fumihito stops him.
"Erasure Head. Make sure to call for backup from us or Nezu when you need it. Don't get reckless out there. We don't know what you'll be facing." Fumihito gives him one last warning before the hero is out the door.
Erasure Head turns to Fumihito with a seemingly calm and uncaring expression before giving Fumihito a silent nod. With that, he leaves.
After seeing the door close, Fumihito sighs heavily and taps at his desk anxiously as he thinks about the future.
"I may need to see if I can talk Tsutsumi into taking her old job as a hero again," Fumihito mutters as multiple scenarios run through his head about what could happen.
His main concern, though. Is whether Shiki and Izuku will be safe while acting as Kamen Riders.
"They may very well be in the center of this even if we don't want that to happen. Hopefully, we can keep them away from this war or stop it altogether." He mutters to himself.
However, he has doubts that'll happen. Things hardly ever work out how he hopes. All he can do is hope and trust that the two will be safe. While thinking about this, he looks at the screen on his desk, linked to the security cameras, and watches as Shiki and Izuku train. Seeing them work hard brings a smile to Fumihito's face as he remembers the past. Soon, though. He loses that smile. Instead, he releases another sigh.
-------------------
As Fumihito contemplates this, Erasure Head pulls out his phone while heading to the exit. Whoever he's calling picks up upon the first ring, and Erasure Head can hear a nasally male voice on the other end.
"Ah, Aizawa. How did your meeting with Chairman Hikage go?" The voice asks in a joyous and polite tone.
"He's having me hunt down Slidin' Go and see what I can find about a new Meta Liberation Army." The now-named Aizawa bluntly says to the person on the other end of the line.
"Yes, he told me about that when I asked why he requested you. Quite the terrifying thought, don't you think?" The person on the other end asks before Aizawa can hear him taking a sip of something.
"It was only a matter of time before someone copied the original." Aizawa calmly states, causing the person on the other end to laugh.
"Yes. Humans have a habit of replicating the past. It's as though you never truly learn your lessons." The person laughs.
Aizawa grunts in slight agreement with his boss as he continues his trek to the exit. As he walks, he passes by Hawks, who gives Aizawa a friendly wave. Aizawa ignores him and continues his walk.
"You have my replacement covered while I work, right?" Aizawa asks despite already knowing the answer.
"Yes, yes. There's no need for you to worry. Your students will be well taken care of in your absence. They may be in even better hands since they won't have to constantly worry about being expelled." The person laughs again, causing Aizawa to grunt in annoyance at his teaching style being insulted.
However, he doesn't say anything and the two quickly change the subject to the more grim topic.
"But do be careful, Aizawa. You never know what could happen out there. I'd prefer not to lose one of my staff because they did something reckless." The person states, their voice never changing from the cheerful one they had at the start of the call.
"I've already been given the run down on what to watch for. I should be fine." Aizawa says calmly.
"Good. I'll look forward to hearing about what you find. Do ensure I get a copy of all your observations." The person orders, causing Aizawa to sigh.
"Yes, sir."
With that, Aizawa hangs up the phone and looks at the city around him while planning his next move.
-------------------
"Your travel plans have been safely prepared, Slidin' Go. I have several false leads prepared to make it difficult for anyone investigating you to figure out where you're going. I've also covered all the phone records and sent you a disguise to use while traveling." Shinonome tells Slidin' Go over the phone.
"Yes. It just arrived. Thank you, Shinonome." Slidin' Go thanks the woman with a slightly bitter tone as he stares at the disguise.
"Have safe travels." Shinonome bluntly tells him before hanging up the phone, leaving Slidin' Go alone to his thoughts.
Slidin' Go's head lowers in despair as he realizes what's happening to him. He regrets following Shinonome's lead on this and trying to train Katsuki. It cost him far too much.
With a heavy sigh, Slidin' Go grabs his disguise before putting it in a suitcase and exiting his apartment in his civilian outfit. He plans to put it on in a bathroom since it would look bad if a stranger exited his apartment and he never returned. As he leaves, he pulls out his phone and blocks Katsuki after the teen calls him the umpteenth time.
-------------------
Seeing he's suddenly been blocked by Slidin' Go causes Katsuki to scowl in frustration. He's been trying to contact the man for hours after Slidin' Go hasn't talked to him in a while. Realizing how the man is avoiding him causes Katsuki to question Izuku's words again. Is Slidin' Go part of a villain organization? As he thinks about this, he growls at the possibility of Deku being right.
The only upside of this whole thing is that he's gotten to keep the Hero Driver. Shinonome hasn't tried to take it from him for some reason, meaning he doesn't have to worry about waiting to fight. At the same time, he glares at the device as he remembers how Chamber outplayed him during their fight.
"I'll crush that bastard next time. After I figure out what's going on." Katsuki finally says, deciding he wants answers more than revenge for his pride this time.
There's too much he didn't know. He doesn't like the feeling of being kept out of the loop. So, for now, he'll try to figure out what's going on. No one is going to make him into a villain. He plans to become the number-one hero. He won't follow some villain's plans like a puppet on strings.
-------------------
In Dr. Garaki's lab, Ikusaba is in a test tube filled with liquid as Dr. Garaki studies him. So far, he hasn't found any massive side effects from Ikusaba's time as Ozone. The Proto Driver seems to have done a better job mitigating the side effects of Nomu Coins than he first thought.
"Fascinating. While there are still some problems, it doesn't seem like there's any severe damage." Dr. Garaki mutters before pulling up the schematics of the Proto Driver to improve the design.
"Then the first experiment went well, Doctor?" His master's voice asks through a T.V.
"Yes, Master. I believe I'll have a perfected model soon if I keep making breakthroughs like this." Dr. Garaki says in a slightly joyful tone.
"I'm glad to hear it. Your research is important to me as well. It may be possible for these Drivers to enhance a Quirk enough to heal my body." The static-covered voice states in a collected tone.
"We can only hope. How is Tomura coming along?" Dr. Garaki decides to ask out of respect for his master over actual care for the person in question.
"His hatred for society has been growing at a steady pace. He'll be ready for his debut soon. Until then, we'll continue supporting him from the shadows by eliminating some of his competition. How much longer do you think they'll be of use?" The person asks, referring to the Meta Liberation Army.
"Slidin' Go has already been discovered to be a traitor. I don't think it will be long before they fall." Dr. Garaki calmly explains.
"How disappointing, but it's nothing to dwell on. They were only disposable pawns meant to observe the Kamen Riders' capabilities. I doubt they would have taken my power well." The master states in an amused manner as he thinks about the outcome of the group.
"It's unlikely, given you can steal the one thing they hold dear." Dr. Garaki nods.
"They'll still be of use. It will let us observe how weak All Might has grown and let us adjust our plans accordingly. Ensure we have sufficient data when that time comes, Doctor." The man orders.
"Of course, Master. I will have everything documented when the time comes and update you about it along with how our Drivers are coming." Dr. Garaki nods.
"And have Giran prepare to capture some of the members with the more powerful Quirks for me during the chaos. There's no point in letting them go to waste by rotting in jail. We'll collect them with whatever remanents manage to survive the confrontation." The master states calmly.
"I'll be sure to inform him." Dr. Garaki nods again.
"Then I'll leave you to your work, Doctor." The master states before ending the call.
After the call ends, Dr. Garaki turns to his new lab assistant, Samuel. The man was given two choices after his capture. Work with them willingly, or have the information and his abilities extracted from him. The man felt he had no choice.
"Make sure to extract all the necessary data from him. We need it for the next prototype." Dr. Garaki orders before leaving.
Samuel watches him go with a fearful expression before nervously returning to his work. He watches Ikusaba's vitals and analyzes every part of his body. As he's working, he can't help but reminisce about his work with the others and his mistake in selling one of the Hero Drivers.
"I wish I hadn't gotten greedy. I hope you're all okay. Please, help me." Samuel mutters while looking close to tears as he continues his new work.
-------------------
Hisashi and a nervous David sit before Sero, Momo, and Melissa while holding papers. They're preparing to test the three to see how compatible they'll be with the Hero Driver.
"Alright, you guys. We're going to be running a few tests on you. Think of it as tryouts." Hisashi says with a smile to try and calm their nerves.

Quirk: Glacial Wrath
The user is able to control cold and ice, scaling off of how hostile/angry they are. The more hostile, the more refined and powerful their cryokinesis (control of cold and ice) is.
This quirk is prone to going “out-of-control” due to its temperamental nature, and applying heat to the user’s skin/body can temporarily mitigate it.

Tobias Forge’s t-shirts, part 1
As promised here’s the first part of a series of posts where I’ll be talking a bit about the gazillion shirts Tobias owns, most of them music and film related of course. Tobias is an avid pop culture memorabilia collector and many of the shirts you see him wearing are genuinely vintage and come mostly from the 80s and 90s, scored from ebay and the like. Funnily enough, because sometimes the sellers don’t ship stuff to Sweden, he orders them to the band’s manager address and she handles it from there.. one of the more unusual aspects of the job I guess, hehe! I will be going through the shirts alphabetically and linking to Youtube where possible so you can listen to the bands pictured.
Tumblr media
From left to right
At The Gates - The Red In The Sky Is Ours: At The Gates is a Swedish death metal band, this 1992 longsleeve features their debut album The Red In The Sky Is Ours, on the back there are lyrics to the song The Red In The Sky Is Ours / The Season To Come- but they’re actually misprinted! The actual ones are ‘hunger, soulrot’ not ‘hunger, so rot’.
Autopsy - Mental Funeral: Autopsy is an American death metal band, what Tobias owns is a 1991 or 1992 longsleeve featuring cover art of their second album. On the sleeves there are logos of the band and Peaceville Records (which you may find is similar to the current grucifix design) and on the back lyrics to the eponymous song.
Bathory - ‘Yellow Goat’: this is the well-known 'yellow goat' (or 'gula geten') shirt which has been printed and reprinted to hell and back for years, it features the cover artwork of Bathory’s debut album. Those familar with black metal scene may know the story of how Euronymous made a bootleg print of the shirt to be sold at his Helvete store, but only to people who were 'worthy' within the scene. Whether Tobias is worthy of owning that particular print will remain a mystery... There were two types made - Norwegian one where the horns of the goat are placed in between the logo lettering (as pictured) and a Swedish one where the horns are placed below the logo.
Black Sabbath - Born Again Tour: 1983/1984 Born Again tour shirt featuring cover art of the album under the same name and tour dates on the back (not pictured here, so take my word for it). It was the only Black Sabbath tour which featured Ian Gillan of Deep Purple’s fame on lead vocals.
Tumblr media
Black Sabbath - Mob Rules Tour: 1981/1982 tour shirt featuring cover art of Mob Rules on the front and the tour logo on the back.
Bauhaus - Bela Lugosi’s Dead: 1980s/90s shirt featuring cover art of the band's most recognised singles I think - Bela Lugosi's Dead. The photo on the cover was actually taken from a 1926 film “The Sorrows of Satan”.
Bauhaus logo: this one features the famous Bauhaus logo. I think most people associate the name and the logo with the band, and that’s what the shirt refers to as well, but the band actually appropriated them from the Bauhaus School of Design, which was a German art school operating in the early 1900s.
Candlemass - Epicus Doomicus Metallicus: Candlemass is a Swedish doom metal band and this is a late 80s shirt featuring art from their debut album. They have been a huge inspiration for Ghost and it’s best heard on Opus Eponymous. Tobias once sang The Well of Souls live with the band - in a very unusual but interesting vocal style!
Tumblr media
Carcass - I Reek of Putrefaction: again, you can’t really see it in full in the picture so you must take my word for it, but this is a bootleg Carcass shirt featuring art from Reek of Putrefaction LP.
Carnivore: this shirt features artwork from Carnivore’s debut LP. Carnivore was an American trash metal band which existed from 1982 until 1990, and was fronted by Peter Steele who you might recognize better from Type O Negative.
Carnivore - Retaliation: this one features the cover of the band’s second and final album, after which they disbanded and Peter Steele formed Type O Negative. Some songs, such as Jesus Hitler, may come across as very controversial to you but keep in mind the lyrics were done tongue-in-cheek for the sole purpose of outraging listeners..
Dead Kennedys - Too Drunk To Fuck: this one features cover art for the punk band Dead Kennedys' single Too Drunk To Fuck. Fun fact: it was the first UK Top 40 single to include the word "fuck" in its title and radio stations often shortened it to just “Too drunk to” or straight up never mentioned it instead going for “a record by a group calling themselves The Dead Kennedys”, ha!

I shipped them after I knew they were related. After all, they might not be closely related at all. Then again, Geten looks an awful lot like Rei, so they might be very closely related.
It would be nice if Geten got more screen time to flesh out his relationship to the Todorokis. It won't affect my shipping tastes one bit, but I'd be happy.
Bonus: Have some sappy fan art attached to Wattpad stories.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Plus they're VILLAINS lighten up people! Dabi is a mass-murderer who has worse issues than the possibility he's banging his first cousin. I'll bet he has no regrets when death comes, like "At least I had three whole months of fun in the PLF before Endeavor drama).
Tumblr media
Remember when mha season 6 just came out and everyone was shipping Dabi and Geten together before it was revealed they were related?....because I do

Chapter 387
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Storytime between Geten and Mr. Compress in prison. They're neighbors
Tumblr media
Dabi's still horrifying to look at and on fire
Tumblr media
Enji, now is not the time to reminisce on his childhood
Tumblr media
A quirk can awaken, or it can access a kind of hysterical strength. These are different things
Tumblr media
So Touya did inherit ice? Only internally? Insides frozen, outsides burning? Like a Hot Pocket
Is Dabi a Hot Pocket?
Tumblr media
And here comes Endeavor's tried and true tactic of flying enemies as high into the sky as he possibly can
Tumblr media
So it's basically confirmed that Geten and Rei are related somewhere along a looping family tree, and I'm not sure if Dabi does have ice in some way, shape, or form, but...
WHY IS REI HERE AND DID THE OTHER TODOROKIS SHOW UP TOO?

What do you think Compress talked to the heroes about? I have tried to think of something but I can't think of anything that could possible be relevant to the final battle (I refuse to believe that this is going to be his only appearance for the final act, I really want for him to be part of 'everyone became a hero')
Mmmm I haven’t thought much about it actually, mostly leaving my mind open to options
And no I agree I don’t think this is it for him, I think he’ll join in and contribute in a good way for sure, probably Geten too at this point tbh
Honestly my only idea is…maybe something he found out about AFO, or Tomura
That’s ALL I can think of, but something tells me it’ll be unexpected and be the pathway into whatever the next thing is Hori has planned for this arc so I’m really leaning toward it not being AFO/Tomura related mayhaps and something that may have been cooking up in the background that we just haven’t been paying attention to, and once it happens it’ll all make sense lol
Or if it is AFO related then I am guessing it’ll be something that ties into some big picture scheme that we as readers haven’t considered or noticed in the background of the story
But that’s the best I got lol

basically ive labelled it "an active emitter" (an emitter quirk that needs to be turned ON to use, as opposed to it constantly happening) "psionic order" (utilizes psi/psychic power. im stealing this from my ghost class idc) "manipulation suborder" (its main purpose is manipulating the properties of matter) "elemental family with cryokinesis" (moves ice) with "secondary thermodynamic characteristics" (temperature manipulation that occurs as the result of it doin its thang) that are both passive (the frost generation we see) and active (after awakening, ability to control the ice's temperature) . theres also some talk of the todofam when i think something relates to them ig but this is mostly abt geten uh. so. to break all that down. wheels in whiteboard which is squeaking a little.
also the part abt the parents is a headcanon we dont know fuck all about his family. all of this is headcanon actually but i want to make sure you know im not quoting canon there
ice ply works by utilizing psi generated in the brain to move stuff. psi is just a kind of energy, which means it costs calories to make.
getens father, for example, is the result of the himura family trying to keep the cryokinesis quirk as "pure" as possible, resulting in psi generation that outpaces the bodys ability to feed it and itself to an extreme degree. his body is very weak, and marrying getens mother with a heteromorphic quirk was an attempt to correct things by giving the children a better shot at having stronger bodies
the "passive thermodynamic effect" is also present in the todoroki family-- even more so, since they actually MAKE the frost. getens branch of the family has a weaker version of it that serves a slightly different function. again, psi is energy, so it cant directly "make cold". his body instead turns that energy into something similar to the peltier effect, where one side gets hotter and the other side gets colder when energy is added, like how those really small desk coolers work. this means that the internal temperature of the body heats up while the outside cools down, which is why the himuras are sensitive to heat. if outdoor temperatures become too hot for the cold air to stabilize, it can become dangerous. this is ALSO why all the himuras we see are often wearing covering and layered clothing-- it insulates their cold air and keeps it close to their bodies, like how puffer jackets work. geten doesnt generate psi in his sleep, but the frost effect chugs on all the time regardless, which serves to offload excess psi and keep it from building up in the body.
the main purpose of his psi of course is to manipulate ice. basically it just turns into "force" and moves the ice around. the manipulation of the temperature is just increasing this force to change the movement of the molecules themselves, ie vibrating more or less. we see geten physically struggle while pulling the ice "up" from the ground in deika. as force, it experiences resistance from whats being moved, which is transmitted back to the user in the form of internal pressure and strain. he doesnt need to lift his hand to lift the ice, but he can be more precise and alleviate some of that internal strain by moving with the ice. as for what HE feels, i think it kinda manifests internally as if you were sculpting with like, floam slime or slushee balls. he can pick out all the internal individual molecules if he tries and he can definitely feel their granularity, but overall its one single cohesive material surface to work with. or like magnet beads. which is also why he desnt really feel the need to have a really detailed measurement system for it-- he just kinda intuitively understands the amount of magnet beads per arrangement. couldnt tell you the weight of it. its just This Many and all of this is just kinda in his brain in the sub of his fight with dabi he says he "calls out to the water molecules" which i think is very cute. the relationship between a potter and his lump of clay i guess
uhhhhh. pathologies i guess quirk overuse: depends on the type, but in all cases he'll also need to wait to use his quirk again after his psi production crashes and the aftereffects fade if he used too much psi: high internal temperature, elevated metabolic response, faster fatigue if he used too much force: headaches, body aches, nosebleeds, internal bruising both: :D quirk suppression: frost effect is dialed up, fever, headache, dyskinesia, abnormal brain signals, moodiness, irritability. the psi doesnt have anywhere to go, so its acting on the body and causing misfires in other neuro pathways. getens quirk training is kinda a double edged sword, cuz like, hes got a much higher tolerance before his body starts going HEY HEY HEY HEY WHAT THE FUCK HEY but hes super susceptible to psionic sickness if he doesnt use his meta often enough especially if he just goes cold turkey because his brain is just making a lot of it. all the time. it builds up very fast without anywhere to go
so i guess the tldr is
-uses psi to exert force on ice -ice temp change is just using force to either make the molecule be still or to shake it harder -psi uses metabolism and makes insides hot and outside cold. boys gotta eat and is probably so short in part because of this. -he feels blowback from the resistance his ice/psi encounters. -cant use it in his sleep or while unconscious but does produce the cold still -its basically slime stim time in his brain
"are you okay" no i just wrote a dummy huge essay on getens quirk when i said that was the simple version

The Black Regiment Advisers are key figures within the Paranormal Liberation Front, serving as high-ranking commanders under Twice's nominal leadership. All three mentioned advisers participated in the Paranormal War, confronting the Heroes at its onset.
Sanctum: The #1 Adviser
Debut: Chapter 258 (Manga)
Quirk: Unknown
Description: Sanctum holds the position of the #1 ranked adviser of the Black Regiment. Hawks specifically identifies him as the longest-serving member of the Liberation Army, indicating his deep roots and extensive history within the organization.
Role: He acts as Twice's highest-ranked adviser. Despite potentially viewing Twice as a "Puppet King," Sanctum's primary focus is not on usurping leadership but rather on maintaining the loyalty of the rest of the regiment. This makes him an "Evil Chancellor" archetype who prioritizes the stability and coherence of his faction.
Twice's #2 Adviser (Pilot Adviser)
Debut: Chapter 258 (Manga)
Quirk: Unnamed Heteromorphic Quirk
Description: This individual is the #2 ranked Adviser of the Black Regiment. Visually, he is characterized as a monstrous purple man wearing a pilot-esque uniform, complete with an "Eye-Obscuring Hat" that conceals his eyes.
Role: He was a participant in the Paranormal War. The anime adaptation provided "Adaptational Expansion," showing him among those who managed to escape the villa during Skeptic's speech, highlighting his resilience and the resentment many Heteromorphs harbored against the system.
Twice's #3 Adviser (Pink Elderly Adviser)
Debut: Chapter 258 (Manga)
Quirk: Unknown
Description: The #3 ranked Adviser of the Black Regiment, she is depicted as a small, pink-haired elderly woman. Her design is notably inspired by a "Granny Classic" archetype, which creates a stark contrast with her role as a villain, earning her the "Evil Old Folks" moniker. She is often seen with a bindi.
Role: Like her fellow Advisers, she participated in the Paranormal War. There's an "Ambiguously Related" detail suggesting a possible connection to Geten's #2 Adviser due to shared pink hair and a bindi, though this remains unconfirmed.

MVA In Memoriam (3/5)
The Comprehensive Account of the Butchering of My Villain Academia
(Introduction and Part One, Episode 108: My Villain Academia) (Part Two, Episode 109: Revival Party)
Part Three, Episode 110: Sad Man's Parade
Chapter 229 – All It Takes Is One Bad Day
• The full first page, of Jin getting mobbed by Puppet!Jins, them tearing his mask off, and flinging it and then him away. Saved them a bit of budget, I suppose, but it’s a shame to lose the drama and the violence of Twice having his mask pulled away, since it’s decent foreshadowing (indeed, possibly intentionally so, on Skeptic’s part) for the violent bewilderment he’ll be subject to shortly.
• Re-Destro’s line, “Not when he’s using his meta-ability to puppeteer, unless you want another nagging lecture.” They didn’t keep the first nagging lecture, so of course they wouldn’t keep this. I’m still annoyed, both on general principle and at the loss of RD’s implication that these nagging lectures are a regular occurrence, especially if one tries to bother Skeptic when he’s using his meta-ability. Has RD himself been on the receiving end of one? Possibly so! But you’d be less likely to think so just from the anime.
• Re-Destro’s line, “This allowed our warriors to momentarily hold back and stay out of danger.” Because why would the audience need to know that Skeptic planned for and Re-Destro cares enough to observe something like that lol?? Obviously the MLA is perfectly content to just throw their peoples’ lives away because, whatever, more where that came from! Dammit, anime, the fandom believes this enough as it is without confirmation bias from your cuts!
• Skeptic’s “fufufu” laugh, because the anime is allergic to the MLA having fun.
• The police officer’s line, “Sure, but in a case like this, you’re still to blame.” The rest of the exchange hints at it, of course, but there’s a horrifying callousness to a police officer just saying straight to the face of a teenaged orphan facing his first offense, “Yes, you were obeying the law perfectly and this guy just ran out in front of you, but it’s going on your criminal record anyway, whatever.” A weight the anime lost, and another that makes me very suspicious of the patterns behind what, precisely, was put on the chopping block.[1]
• Jin’s narration, “That police officer couldn’t have known. Me neither.” Demonstrates that Jin doesn’t really hold his fall against the one policeman. It’s a consistent thread with Jin’s character that, while he’s very jaded, he’s not actually vengeful, nor is he looking to enact systemic change. While he’s very defensive of his friends, people who hurt Jin himself are never in any real danger of him coming to collect his pound of flesh in return; he just rolls with it as part of how the world works, in the way of someone who was never given reason to believe any different. This line is a good example of that.
• From Jin’s old employer’s angry rant, deletes the note that the client that called is angry, and that the client said, “That young punk of yours did this!” It’s nothing that wasn’t obvious from the rest of the conversation, but I do I think cutting it loses a sense that this guy is just unloading all of his frustration and fear on Jin. The length of the screed, the extra details—it clearly communicates that Jin’s boss is so angry and upset he’s not paying any real mind to filtering, but just recounting every point of contention the moment they come into his mind.
• In modern society, when you’re someone without roots… Well, not a lot of people can relate to that.” It isn’t just the police that failed Jin; it’s a whole society that’s distrustful of people who don’t have a place in the fabric, and thus are unwilling to try and bring them into it. Like Tenko, there are a thousand little places where someone could have reached out a hand, but no one ever did. The audience can intuit this, but I feel it’s better to be clear about it—it’s not just the legal system that screwed Jin over; it’s every other person that never tried to help him because they were afraid of his eyes or distrusted a guy who had no connections. When Shigaraki comes, he’s not going to be coming for heroes alone; he’ll be coming for this entire tapestry of indifference and timidity.
• Skeptic’s lines, “Hrm? Fighting back? I was sure he’d either flee or cower in place... We didn’t anticipate such unity between them.” This gets at two things. Firstly, and once again, that the MLA did their research; that they came into this with educated expectations and a definite plan. Secondly, an in-character observation of what the arc has been showing the audience all along: that the League isn’t just a disparate gang of hoodlums anymore; that they’re developing real bonds. Those bonds mark them as unusual—Re-Destro comments on it in 223, as did Overhaul in 147; even Mr. Compress remarks disapprovingly on Twice’s “habit” of getting overly attached to people. It’s striking that, even though the MLA knew from Giran’s records that the League was uncommonly well-bonded, Twice’s devotion still fell outside Skeptic’s parameters.[2]
• Again Skeptic’s line, “Now his legs.” The drones don’t actually get this far (though you can see them gearing up for it on the next page), so it’s a reasonable enough cut, but it does emphasize the ludicrous, over-the-top extremes Skeptic in particular is willing to go to in securing what he wants. If, you know, “Kidnap the doubler so we have a method to make copies of the Grand Commander at our leisure,” wasn’t bonkers enough.
• Twice’s line, “Even against Gigantomachia!” It really highlights just how much mental energy Twice has been dedicating to avoiding injury, that he was able to keep it in mind even fighting a foe as overwhelming, and for as extended a period, as Machia. And like, the anime blitzed over the Machia fight so quickly, and with so little visible wear and tear to the League, that it really could have used all the reminders it could find room for about how intense those six weeks were.
• Twice’s line, “I won’t watch a friend die!” Such an important line that the composer named an entire track for it, not that the anime gave us that track in the moment it was clearly scored for. They added in a new line later in the scene which mostly gets the important sentiments back in, but loses out in being slightly less fitting to his breakthrough. See the Additions portion of the write-up on Chapter 230, following.
Framing Shifts
• The policeman in Jin’s flashback looked up at him in the anime, where in the manga, his eyes stay down on his paperwork the entire time. I realize that anime can’t just still-frame every panel of a manga and call it an adaptation,[3] so characters will do things like move and look around in different directions just in the course of inhabiting a room, Still, in this case, it has the effect of making the officer look more alert and engaged than he was in the manga, and given that this whole chunk of backstory is about Jin slipping through the social safety net, it feels appropriate to me that the officer should be completely checked out.
Additions
• A new shot of Jin(s) in his pre-massacre doppelganger army days. Didn’t tell us anything we don’t already know—it’s little more than a new angle of the gang in the truck—but it was nice to see.
Bonus Note
• They left Re-Destro’s phrase, “My company,” alone when he was talking about the micro-transceivers Skeptic was using. That’s accurate to the manga, but I’d like to remind everyone that, at that point in the anime, viewers whose only reference is the anime itself have no idea that Re-Destro is a businessman. The show skipped the commercial, RD’s intro, the dinner scene where his company comes up, and Giran’s association of RD with Detnerat; it will further go on to skip Shigaraki recognizing him from the commercial. The news report mentioning Detnerat was ten full episodes prior to Episode 110, and was followed up on in not the faintest degree. For heaven’s sake, would it have been so hard to have Hirata Hiroaki say, “My Detnerat’s,” instead of just, “My company’s”?
Chapter 230 – Sad Man’s Parade
• Deleted the MLA members that are attacking Compress as they get pushed off by the Twice wave. Not the first time, and not the last, that the anime didn’t animate the random MLA people on the street. It’s hard to take the threat of their numbers seriously when the anime kept deleting them from what are supposed to be crowd scenes, you know?
• Mr. C thinking worriedly about Dabi as he’s mulling over Geten’s strength and disregard for catching his own people in the collateral damage. It’s just a, “Dabi—!” but it’s yet another tiny cut that shaves away at the manga’s clear depiction of Leagues’ concern for one another—even Mr. Compress, who claims that such things aren’t very villainous.
Framing Shifts
• Changed the random MLA’s exhortation to kill all the Twices to a generic, “Damn—!” I know American censors have often taken issue with the words “Kill” and “Die” in kids’ cartoons, but I was never of the impression that that was the case in Japan. And it’s not like the show made any bones about Curious planning to kill Toga. A rephrase to save a second and a half on dialogue, maybe?
• Had Skeptic give his lines about failure on the way over to the elevator instead of stalking over in silence, and then dumping the whole monologue all at once. The manga’s extended silence over three identically sized panels is much funnier and more characterful. I grow ever more confident in my assessment of Skeptic as the second-most ill-treated MLA character in this adaptation.
• The return of the Doom Choirs for the Twice Parade. I really wish the anime would lay off slathering Doom Choirs all over everything, especially a moment like this: a triumph for Twice, and, true to form for Twice, also crammed to the gills with visual and verbal gags. The Doom Choir is out of keeping with both the victory and the comedy—Mine Woman, later on, served the Parade much better.
Additions
• Gave Twice a new line, “I will protect my comrades!” It was nice to make up for his, “I won’t watch a friend die!” but the latter is more characterful, especially since a more literal translation is, “I won’t kill my friends!” Which is, you know, relevant to the fact that Twice has problems telling himself apart from things that just look like him, and he just had to intervene to stop some of those look-alikes from killing one of said friends. At least it got his use of nakama back in.[4]
• A new little cut of animation as the action went back to Geten and Dabi. I suppose the Dabi fans liked it, and it was nice to see more of Geten’s ice dragon, but I’d have much preferred they could keep the scenes we already have before adding new ones.
Chapter 231 – Path
The scene of Hawks wondering why he hasn’t heard from Dabi and his subsequent flashback to the last time they spoke were relocated to the beginning of Episode 102, the first thing the audience saw after the prior episode ended with Shouto inviting Bakugou and Deku to come intern with him at Endeavor’s. In the manga, of course, it’s not “a few weeks ago in Kyushu,” it’s “meanwhile in Osaka.” Also, the order of the scenes was flipped—the episode led with the flashback, then returned to the modern day. It really makes the timeline needlessly confusing—the viewer has no real context for what we’re seeing and when, especially since the anime neglected to specify how much time passed between the two scenes. You have to assume it was enough time for an outcry to be raised over Jeanist’s disappearance, but the random shot of a bird flying over was not at all helpful there.
Alterations included (as usual, outright removed material is in bold text):
          1. Cut Hawks’ thought, “That’s why you keep calling,” and his line, “What’s the job?” I know I should give a breakdown here about Hawks’ mentality and training, but I’m afraid I don’t have it in me to complain about any lines Takami Keigo loses. God knows the anime gives him plenty enough bonus material.
          2. Spliced in the flashback scene of Hawks reporting to the Commission from Chapter 243, but subtly changed it to suggest that it took place after the phonecall in which Dabi demanded Hawks kill a non-Endeavor top hero, rather than it taking place right after Hawks and Dabi’s first contact, which is what the manga implies.
          3. Deleted several key shots in the Jeanist apartment scene, with the effect of making Hawks way less creepy. We got an anime-original shot of his eyes, narrow and serious, but not either of the shots of his big, off-putting grin and widened eyes as he pulls a feather-blade on Jeanist. We also lost a shot of Jeanist turning to face him, framed between extended primaries of Hawks’ Fierce Wings. It’s not like the anime dropped the fake!Dead Jeanist plot, so I’m not sure why the shift, unless it’s just that they wanted to keep Hawks likable for the merch-buying crowd, not creepy and unsettling. And while I personally never believed that Hawks really killed Jeanist, a lot of people thought it was plausible, no doubt based on how off-kilter he comes across in this scene. It loses a real frisson, to just play it straight.
• Shigaraki decaying a missile in mid-air. So Dabi can get those little animation flourishes but Tomura can’t, huh, anime? I see how it is. I. See. How. It. Is.
• Spinner’s little side comment about all the ice everywhere. A nice demonstration that Geten and Dabi’s fight really is affecting huge swathes of the city; that’s certainly apparent already in a bunch of the wide shots showing exactly that, but it’s helpful to have the more zoomed-in moments, too. Also, I do enjoy those little side quips wherever we get them, and the anime often removes them.
• Thinned out the crowd guarding the route to the tower somewhat (it’s particularly noticeable on the mid-distance rooftops) and, as best I can tell, removed Shigaraki and Spinner from the shot. Why keep all the lines harping on the 110,000 number when a) it’s not even accurate to the MLA’s forces, just the League’s assumptions, and b) the studio doesn’t even have the resources to adequately convey the numbers the manga does portray?
• Somebody in the crowd being defiant about Twice’s multiplication and vigorously declaring that the League are all just sacrifices for the MLA’s Revival Party anyway. The background nobodies? Allowed to express even bog-standard over-confidence? Well I never. How dare those people think their lives count enough for them to get dialogue.
• Spinner’s, “This keeps happening!” Of course he couldn’t have that line in the anime, since the anime cut the other big place Trumpet clearly used his power to rile up his followers. What other times were you even talking about when you said, “Every time he talks,” Anime!Spinner? That scene was the first time we even saw Trumpet since he welcomed you guys to town.
• Twice calling Re-Destro a cult leader. He just called him a damn moron (bakayarou) in the anime; he uses the considerably more specific baka kyouso (Google Translate gives “guru”; jisho gives “founder of a religious sect”). He uses the same term again immediately afterward—Viz’s translation gives, “More like chrome dome cult!”—which the anime also deleted.
So here’s another example of the anime doing everything it could to erase the presence of cults in the HeroAca world. The easy assumption to make is that this was tied to broadcast standards about the depiction of what Japan refers to as “new religious movements,” which—and pardon the brief swerve into real life historical horrors here—have been very unpopular in Japan since Aum Shinrikyo and the sarin gas attacks in 1995. But were these elements removed because the anime didn’t want to represent anything that smacks of new religious movements at all, or because the depiction of both the MLA and particularly the CRC are explicitly villainous and calling religious movements, even made-up ones, evil on TV leads to a lot of angry phone calls?
• Re-Destro’s line, “Unlike my good Miyashita, there’s nothing charming about you.” Of course they’d cut this, having cut the Miyashita scene, but I hate it anyway. As I said earlier, RD’s invocation of Miyashita in front of two people who are going to have not the slightest clue who that is tells me that Re-Destro really does miss and feel bad about killing the guy. Cutting the reminder that RD still feels that sting makes it much too easy to assume that Shigaraki’s right about RD hiding up in his tower, uncaring of the blood shed on his behalf, when if you read Re-Destro with even the slightest of attempts at good faith, it’s clear that those losses weigh very heavily on him.
Incidentally, and not to harp on the art again, but in the manga, Stress is still visibly spread down from RD’s temple to the ridge of his brow over his eye socket. The anime returned it back to its normal resting state, again suggesting that the death toll mounting in the streets below (as well as, possibly, the new stress of confronting a quirk as powerful as Double) left RD completely unmoved. The spread was back in the following shot, so it was probably just an art error, but it would be nice to have had fewer of those, especially when they impact characterization as much as what RD’s Stress blots are doing at any given time.
Framing Shifts
• Had Machia doing this weird cannonball skim just over the ground, when in the manga, he’s still half-buried, spraying earth and stone everywhere. The manga never namedrops Machia’s Mole quirk during the story itself, but it’s important to know for later that Machia can not only tear through obstacles, he can tear through obstacles extremely quickly.
Additions
• Gave Hawks a few new lines about how too many unexpected things happened for their last arrangement, and that Dabi should have given him more warning. Largely seemed to be there to give the anime an excuse to flashback to the High End fight, in case the viewers had completely forgotten about Hawks and Dabi having a clandestine meeting and sniping at each other in the aftermath of that event. An understandable addition, but deeply frustrating in the context of all the lines that got cut.
Chapter 232 – Meta Abilities and Quirks
• Dropped a third instance of Twice calling Re-Destro a cult leader. I don’t know what the S&P restriction is on this, but given that the movie was allowed to create and villainize an entire international terrorist cult, it is really incomprehensible that the MLA doesn’t get to keep their designation as such. Why?? Because the movie involves going out and defeating its cult, but the series is going to engage in a more sympathetic treatment?[5] Because the self-selecting movie crowd is less likely to complain than the TV audience? Did they just not want to draw attention to how much the movie was ripping off the MLA’s whole shtick? What??
• Missed that RD’s swole arm swipe wipes out the puppets Skeptic left behind; they just vanished from the scene entirely after Twice’s arrival. It’s hard to blame the anime for this; the manga also seems to lose track of the fact that they’re right there in between RD and the elevator—they’re nowhere to be seen anywhere between the end of Chapter 231 and the aforementioned arm swipe, where you can see them getting obliterated. Both versions could have stood to be more attentive to this; indeed, the anime could have fixed it, small error though it is.
• A sort of twitchy sparking around Shigaraki’s hand right after he decays the tower. This is foreshadowing that Shigaraki’s big AOE decay attacks are hard on his body, which will become extremely apparent after he unleashes it on the city at large during the climax, and factors into his decision to accept the mysterious power Ujiko offers. The damage Shigaraki sustains there doesn’t come out of nowhere; Horikoshi is, on the whole, extremely good at layering in foreshadowing many chapters before the foreshadowed elements come fully to light. It makes the writing look much messier than it actually is—more convenient, more pat—to delete this stuff.
• Shigaraki recognizing RD from the Detnerat commercials. Well, they ditched the Detnerat commercial, so of course they ditched this. Still, it lost one of the indicators that Shigaraki is, despite not receiving a formal education, actually quite up to speed on current events—even, apparently, when those current events are happening while he’s been fighting Machia in an isolated stretch of mountains for six weeks! I already suffer enough through fanon characterizations of Shigaraki in which he’s a basement-dwelling feral manchild glued to his gaming console whom AFO bans from accessing information about the outside world, anime! I don’t need you dropping the scenes that most clearly demonstrate otherwise!!
• In the anime, Baby!Chikara’s face was unmarked, just a normal infant face—you’d never even know the kid had a meta-ability just to look at him. In the manga, the skin of his face is clearly darker, contrasted against the paleness of his mother’s hand. It’s obvious that he’s not “normal” looking, and thus equally obviously would have attracted negative attention in his era.[6] Also had his mother smiling; her face in the manga is too shadowed and vague to make out an expression, befitting the murky tragedy of her story and the fear she must have been living with.
Framing Shifts
Additions
• A little thing: they had Twice echo, “Cushion?” when Clone!Shigaraki told him to get ready to cushion Giran’s fall. If anything, Re-Destro and his little thought-bubbled question mark is probably the one who should have had this reaction line.
• Added a visual for Clone-araki catching himself on the window. A perfectly reasonable way to fill screen time while a dialogue beat was ongoing.
• Added a panning still over a reaction shot from a bunch of Twice clones when the tower came down. It had a few good faces in it.
                                                           ---
So, generally, this episode was better. I definitely still had issues with it, but compared to what came before, when they were trying to cram 5+ chapters into the episodes, there were far fewer cuts, and what cuts and tweaks there were, were relatively minor. Definitely nothing that made me want to throw chairs Jerry Springer-style the way 108 and 109 did.
Sadly, I can't say the same for the remaining two episodes. Come back next time for Part Four, Episode 111: Shimura Tenko, Origin.
FOOTNOTES
[1] After witnessing the massacre that was Episode 108, I was convinced they were going to cut the policeman scene entirely, and just go right to Jin getting fired for hitting someone with his bike, letting the audience think it was his fault completely rather than cast aspersions on police and the justness of the law. I was pleased they kept it at all, but less pleased with the steps taken to soften the sharpness of its accusation.
[2] Of course, it’s not like the MLA themselves don’t understand the willingness to give everything for the people who matter. They just label those feelings Devotion To The Cause, and don’t think the League is capable of such resolution.
[3] Netflix’s Way of the House Husband, be told.
[4] Nakama is, of course, a shonen standby, but, to the best of my knowledge (which is admittedly limited; I don’t follow a lot of shounen series), it’s pretty rare to hear the word coming out of a villain’s mouth! Jin calling the League his nakama ties into how the League are both sympathetic villains in the larger story and also the protagonists of the current arc, thereby operating under a lot of protag tropes for the duration—foreshadowed by Spinner’s earlier talk of Shigaraki and his boyish, dream-chasing eyes.
[5] Sometime after the mass arrests, one hopes.
[6] This could well be a coloring error in the manga, but if so, you’d think they’d have corrected it for the volume release. Especially given that, again, the color is in a different shade/screentone than the shadow that covers most of his mother’s face, and her hand stroking Chikara’s chin isn’t shadowed at all.

Playing the 'I hope this happens or not' for BNHA.
Just a random amount of stuff I was thinking about while rewatching and rereading BNHA and which I hope comes to be true or not.
What I would like to be true
After Deku managed to save Shigaraki, them defeating AfO once and for all (together) (and surviving);
Eri rewinding Aizawa to before USJ;
Eri possibly rewinding Shirakumo;
Stain meeting Iida again (and possibly acknowledging him as a true hero);
Overhaul's reunion with his boss;
The League, and particularly Toga, having a funeral and giving a proper burial to Twice;
Endeavour and Hawks apologising to whom is due;
In case Izuku loses OfA after defeating AfO, him still being the Greatest Hero;
Shigaraki Tomura being a Shigaraki;
Tenko somehow feeling accepted by Kotaro;
Kirishima and Rappa showoff! (part II)
THE LEAGUE GETTING THERAPY.
Full Explanation of Mr.Compress' past.
Shouto and Touya having a civil conversation + Todofam having at least a sort of happy ending.
The whole heroes as a 'State Public Officer' to be wiped out.
System's heavy reform + institution of 'Villain Rehab' with Gentle as the Director.
Dabi and Geten being related.
Bakugou admitting that Shouto is his friend.
Izuku being enrolled in UA (again).
What I would not like to come true
Dad for Afo; (+ Izuku being born with a Quirk then stolen)
Bakugou being/being related to the 2nd OfA user;
BNHA being a Time Loop;
Izuku and/or Shigaraki dying;
Endeavour being a hero after the end of the 'Battle';
Denki/Uraraka being the UA Traitor (I'd rather take Nezu or Recovery Girl, or even Tokoyami);
Izuku losing OfA (but let's be realistic here);
The PFL being under AfO.
The Hero Billboard Chart Japan to be a thing;
A timeskip (I know this one does not make sense, but still - I would love to see rather that the 1-A kids in class, having a boring day with Aizawa after everything happened, then adult 1-A remembering what happened and being all happy and sappy);
Bakugou and Izuku having to fight again on two different sides.

Note
what did Dabi mean by can't feel anything anymore to shoto?
Not feeling anything, also referred to as emotional numbness can be a symptom of depression or a coping mechanism to protect one during traumatic events, which in some cases doesn’t go away even when the person isn’t still in that traumatic environment.
This article, for example, mentions that for some people (specifically in relation to childhood trauma), their brains turn off their emotions to defend themselves against mental distress. It’s also possible for individuals (especially later on in adulthood) to respond to threatening situations with anger to mask their actual fear and feelings of powerlessness. This is something we see during the Dabi vs. Geten fight in chapter 230. At the start of that, Dabi was acting his usual self, mocking Geten for having dedicated his life to training his quirk:
Tumblr media
But as soon as Geten says “a person’s only worth lies in the strength of their powers!” It obviously reminds Dabi of Endeavor, and that’s when his mood changes from just mocking to wanting Geten to die.
Tumblr media
This article lists things people who are emotionally numb do, including things like isolating themselves, putting themselves in risky situations, seeming emotionless to others, overreacting, or not reacting at all.
The isolation is shown through him often keeping a distance between him and the League, most notably when he’s missing during the League first meeting the Chie Hassaikai, which then led to Magne’s death and Mr. Compress losing an arm, which obviously deeply affected the League. Despite the significance of that scene, Dabi isn’t present - we don’t even see his reaction to this. He’s only briefly shown when Shigaraki tells them that Twice and Toga are going to join the Chie Hassaikai, but he’s just sitting on a bed frame, not actually contributing.
I wanna say the putting himself in risky situations is an obvious one: his quirk is his biggest weakness, burning himself alive very slowly. And yet, he continues to use it over and over again. The biggest piece of evidence for this, though, comes from chapter 293, when he’s hugging Shouto in an attempt to kill him, proving the theory that Dabi doesn’t intend to survive this. He wants to end Endeavor, no matter the cost.
Tumblr media
We saw Dabi seeming emotionless to Hawks and “not reacting” when Twice was killed in chapter 267:
Tumblr media
And the overreacting happens a little later, when he reveals his identity to Endeavor and Shouto:
Tumblr media
This is not to say that he doesn’t actually have emotions, but he is currently in a state where his brain decides that it’s easier to not feel anything than to deal with all those emotions and traumatic experiences. Because he never received help growing up or was taught how to properly cope, this was his brain’s own way of dealing with things.
