Any quirks based off of sanity or morals?
Hm, this is an interesting prompt!
I’m going to assume by “sanity” you mean psychosis (basically, difficulty separating fantasy from reality), and that it’s to be taken in a neutral/analytical context rather than an opinionated one. That being said, if I make any mistakes and/or say anything offensive in the following text, please correct me, and I’ll fix it!
Quirk: Greyscale
The user is able to sense/see others’ moods and/or mental states. Negative thoughts, emotions, and other psychological factors appear as dense fog that shrouds the affected person, while a positive mood/mental state appears as a lack thereof.
As an additional effect of their quirk, the user’s vision is entirely achromatic (they cannot perceive colour, though they do perceive brightness/shade).
Quirk: Detect Motive
The user is able to sense a person’s motive—the reason behind their actions, so to speak. They can only get vague hunches through their quirk, but they’re also better at reading body language than the average person.
Quirk: Guiding Light
The user can cause thin strands of glowing light to appear, of which are connected to where a person’s heart would be. These strands lead to the location of an important event in a person’s future, though they do not necessarily cause that event.
The strands only appear to the user and the person(s) they affect, and are intangible.

What would be a quirk that is dependent on other people and relationships (similar to La Brava’s) but have a Halloween flare instead of a Valentine’s one? Thabk you :)
Quirk: Enchantment
By feeding off of others’ positive energy, the user can create colourful, sticker-like talismans that enhance the wearers’ skills and abilities! These stickers won’t work on the user, though, and they’ll fall off once all their energy is used up.
Putting too much of their energy into these stickers can cause the user to become exhausted (physically and emotionally), and overall their quirk can take a serious toll on their mental health.
Quirk: Wight
The user can “absorb” others’ negative emotions, channeling them into bad luck and/or happenstances that they can inflict on others. However, they experience the bad luck in conjunction with their target(s), and they can only store up a limited amount of negativity at a time.
The more negative emotions the user stores up, the more it will affect them (mentally-emotionally; psychologically). They cannot control the form the “bad luck” takes, but they can get a vague sense for it.
Quirk: Apparition
The user can appear as an intangible (though fully visible) apparition to those who love them. Their projections will not be visible to those who don’t love them, and they (the projections) cannot perform actions that defy the laws of physics (such as floating mid-air).
The user’s quirk varies based on their definition of love, and thus, may expand to include unhealthy relationships as well. Their projections are separate entities from their physical body.

Hi! I was wondering, could you make a quirk that is touched based and cannot be turned off? Kind of like Shigiraki's quirk, I hope you have a good day!
Oh, sure! m( ^ ^ )m The “passive/cannot be turned off” aspect is implied within all these quirks, as I felt it would be too tedious to list them.
Quirk: Flicker
By touching an object, the user can make that object “flicker”—temporarily become invisible and intangible at fixed intervals. The duration of these effects varies based on the user’s mood—the more upset they are, the more frequent the effects, while fatigue causes their quirk to cut off earlier.
Quirk: Temporal Regression
The user causes any living object they come into contact with to temporally regress (a limited form of time-travel; “de-aging” in a sense). The longer the user is in contact with an item, the longer it regresses.
Quirk: Duplication
Upon touching an inanimate object, the user causes it to slowly begin duplicating (akin to mitosis), creating an exact copy of the item upon duplication. Their quirk works at a fixed speed (meaning the more mass an object has, the slower it duplicates), and if the process is interrupted, the duplicate may become warped/distorted.
The user must take breaks between using their quirk (touching inanimate objects) for extended periods of time, lest they suffer quirk exhaustion (typically in the form of fatigue, twitching, and numbness where they’d been using their quirk).

Quirk: Spirit Box
The user can speak to and hear deceased persons in the area (though they cannot see them, and their voice is still affected by distortions on the physical realm).
They can roughly sense spirits’ locations and emotions; however, their communication is still affected by language barriers. The range of their quirk can be augmented by electronics and metal objects.

first and foremost, thank you for running such an amazing and helpful blog! i love skimming through it and looking at all the creativity! i hope your morning/day/night is going well. i’m a bit stumped on an oc i’m creating. i was wondering if i could message you privately because i have so much information to give and don’t want to send like 40 asks ;-; if not that’s cool!
Sure, that’d be great! ^^ I may not answer very quickly due to ~real life occurrences~ but feel free to DM me anytime!

Can you make a quirk based off the song Mr. Loverman? Odd request, I know, but I'm kinda hyperfixated on the song and want to make an oc based of the long, but need a quirk.
!!! Of course! (Nice taste in music by the way-) Some of the quirks are directly based off the lyrics themselves, while others are based off the vibe ^^
Quirk: Touch-and-Go
The user is able to perform telekinesis on items in their field-of-vision, with their strength and precision increasing with the amount of physical contact they’ve received recently.
Overuse (using their quirk too much/on too many items in a short amount of time) can cause the user to feel lightheaded and/or develop shaking/twitching in their nerves.
Quirk: Reel
The user’s relationships (bonds formed with other people) manifest as glowing threads, of which they can physically manipulate. Other people are unable to manipulate these bonds.
The user cannot exert these bonds over what they are physically capable of doing (for example, if they cannot move a person without their quirk, they wouldn’t be able to pull them very far using their quirk).
Quirk: Terminal Velocity
The user is able to negate friction on any moving item they touch. This means they are essentially able to create “unstoppable forces” using their quirk. This is a passive effect, but the user can cancel it providing they know what the object is.

Quirk: Paper Lanterns
By pressing their hands together and pulling them apart, the user is able to create paper lanterns (of which form as their hands separate).
The user is able to change the shape, colour, and size of these lanterns—however, using their quirk expends some of the user’s energy, and the lanterns must be able to fit in the palms of their hands. The user can light up the lanterns by blowing into them.
Overuse can cause the user to become fatigued and hungry, and/or develop a prickling/tingling sensation in their palms.

Quirk: Wordsmith
The user is able to change the meaning of words, and manifest the resulting effects in the real world. The more complex the manifestation, the shorter it lasts.
Overuse (manifesting many/very complex things in a short amount of time) can cause the user to temporarily become unable to understand words (written or spoken).

Is it ok if I use the Lovestruck quirk? I’ve been looking for a quirk for a self insert and this one is perfect!! Would it be ok if I used that quirk for a self insert 👉👈
Of course! If you’re going to make a work (fanart/fanfic/etc.), I’d prefer being credited (and I’d love to see it too!) but none of that is necessary. ^^

Quirk: Candle
The user’s body is made of wax, and they possess wick-like appendages on the tips of their fingers and toes. They don’t feel pain (though they can feel heat, to an extent), and any lost wax can be replaced with external parts (of which will feel noticeably artificial).

Tumblr media
There comes a time when fandom becomes less of an escape from anxiety to being the source of anxiety. Sometimes I need to remind myself what’s important to focus on, and I made this chart to help me with that.
(Posting this at the request of a few people. The design/concept was inspired by an instagram post about covid-19 located here).

do you ever have those bloggers that you know by a nickname you kinda just gave them and you get excited to see them on your dash even though you’ve barely/never spoken to them ever

Quirk: Tension Coil
The user’s muscles are structured similarly to springs, allowing them to absorb impacts and convert them to kinetic energy. They can store that energy; however, it tenses their muscles over time, increasing the risk of their quirk activating without warning.
Overuse (converting/storing large amounts of energy) of this quirk can cause hypertension and/or muscular tension, and permanent damage with long-term use.

Quirk: Chimes
The user has metallic, chime-like appendages that grow alongside their hair, of which produce noise when rustled. These appendages aren’t prehensile, but they are nice to listen to.

Quirk: Gravitational Vortex
The user is able to create invisible “vortices”, of which rapidly draws objects toward it via gravitational pull. The longer a vortex remains, the more powerful the gravitational pull becomes.
Creating or negating a vortex uses up energy (though letting one remain doesn’t), and causes a pulling sensation in the user’s gut and muscles. Overuse can cause fatigue, nausea and vomiting.

Quirk: Short-Out
The user is able to release an invisible electrochemical discharge that, while painless, causes those hit to temporarily be unable to think.
The more effort with which they discharge the substance, the longer a target’s “short-out” lasts. It is suspected that, after a certain point, the effects of a short-out can become permanent.
Overuse can cause the user’s thoughts to become fuzzy, lightheadedness, and potentially dissociation.

Quirk: Argent Grace
The user possesses enhanced dexterity and speed, of which increases based on the intensity of their emotions. The higher the intensity, the more of an effect their quirk will have.
This quirk is not affected by false/artificial emotions, nor other psychological quirks. As a secondary trait, the user affects a faintly-silver aura while their quirk is active; this glow intensifies with their emotions as well.
