Was watching The Ring Trilogy today and I totally forgot that Odin gave Xena the ability to manifest fire at will. On top of the psychic and PK abilities Lao Ma teaches Xena; Xena could be master of the elements.

I guess she never kept any of the abilities though when she turned good because she felt she never deserved that kind of power. That’s also another striking difference between Xena as evil and Xena as good. As good, prefers to graft and earn. As evil, prefers to take and possess. The dichotomy is quite large in comparison. She isn’t that person anymore even though she’ll always be informed and influenced by it. This is what it means to be corrupted. You become someone else entirely to what you once were even though you’re the still the exact same entity as it.

So y’all know the classic edge trope of “my blade cannot be sheathed until it has tasted blood”? What if a magic sword that has that requirement, except it’s sort of inverted. A sword that, instead of being inhabited by an evil spirit which once awakened cannot be lulled back to sleep except by blood sacrifice, was inhabited by a benevolent spirit who would not allow the sword to be drawn unless bloodshed were the only possible solution. A sword whose power could never be misused because it would only allow itself to be used in situations where it was justified. What about a Paladin who spends their entire journey fighting with a sheathed sword, incapacitating but never killing or maiming. The party believes that the Paladin has taken an oath of no killing, until they face the big villain. And it is in that moment, and that moment alone, that the sword will allow itself to be drawn.

The Wizard is so done. It started off as ‘dangerous artefacts to be relocated when a suitable place is found’ but then it became the go to storage and all the stuff just stays.

Thé Rock in the other hand, loves it. Getting more and more offerings by their new champion really shows how loved they are. It’s has been way too long since they got any offerings and new additions, so the newest champion giving them plenty of nourishment / stimulation is as if they are being spoiled.
