I was looking through an old blog of mine at some Stardew Valley stuff I'd reblogged (also, warning: sdv content incoming!) and I found a GEM of a post I made in July 2021:

oh hun, if only you could see yourself now...
#krenenbaker's :)#this was fun to find again since#a. I'm still obsessed with Elliott#b. I don't ID as lesbian any more#c. I'm very queer and Elliott is both very gender and very attractive#(he's a very pretty man)#I also found all the other fandoms I was into in 2018-ish and OOF#one of them is kind of a yikes to look back on#especially since I didn't even finish watching the show because it really went downhill towards the end of the series - -;#and it was... kind of a toxic fandom too#anyways... rant over#prepare for some sdv stuff :)

Bachelors (sdv) x reader on their period
Gender neutral, but purely because of the prompt, afab reader. I'd say everything I write is gender neutral besides the very rare Trans masc reader
Not proofread and I wrote this in like 25 min- I'll update this when I'm less tired.
Harvey
• A literal doctor.
• Is not weirded out like at all. He is all like, "Oh okay! Do you need anything at all?" And moved on with life
• Maybe has a little blush when you first talk about it? It's a completely normal thing at work (and in life), but it's just because it's you that he wants to make sure he handles it well.
• Would probably get you chocolate. And a heating pad. And blankets. And all the things.
• Aka would just spoil you a bit more than normal, periods suck and he knows-
• If you had any like disorder involving you Period he would be extra on top of stuff.
• Will make sure you are well stocked on and properly take pain meds!
Elliott
• Would just absolutely spoil you!
• Runs a bath, gets chocolate, threw your pajamas in the dryer to get them extra warm, heating pad.
• Might give you a massage if they are super painful? Probably would do it regardless but he would definitely offer if he knew that got bad.
• Idk why he knows so much, maybe it's because of Leah? I don't really write about the bachelotettes, but I feel like she would be super open about it so that's why Elliott knows a lot.
• But yeah he'd be super good to you! Would make you food just because. He is great at spoiling people, but not actually great at knowing what to do physically haha. (I think I mentioned in a previous fic where he just makes you soup if your in pain, he would do that here too)
Shane
• So if I just take Shane as a standalone character I don't think he'd know a lot / want to know/ care.
• But!
• Jas. I'm not sure what age she is supposed to be (literally anywhere from 7-12 imo) but I feel like Shane would have read up on Period stuff in preparation.
• So he would actually be more informed than Elliott!
• Now onto the actual stuff lol-
• He wouldn't be super pamper-y like Elliott and Harvey, but he would definitely help around the house more.
• Animals are all taken care of, crops are all watered, took care of some weeds, etc.
• He would also probably be a bit more physically affectionate purely because he knows you like it.
• Might be a bit embarrassed about it at first but after the first one he gets the gist of what to do.
Alex
• Would be relatively informed just because he is a health nut, but also doesn't know what to do because the most important woman in his life is postmenopausal-
• Probably would just give you chocolate and hugs because he knows like. Emotional and cravings.
• If they were super bad he would ask his grandma for help!
• Wouldn't be embarrassed about it! Once again. Health nut. Gets you pain meds!
Sebastian
• Okay. So. Sebastian.
• Literally lives with 2 ladies. Both very strong confident women. He wouldn't be uninformed by any means, but he probably is still awkward around the topic lmao
• Like if you were complaining he would be like "...." "am I supposed to do something about that?"
• AND HE DIDNT MEAN IT IN A RUDE WAY he was genuinely asking. But he just doesn't know and also is an awkward guy?
• Would do the least out of all the Bachelor's. Maybe just be more emotionally available because Period mood swings be rough. Makes more time to talk about things with you.
• Grabs you ibuprofen or Tylenol, whatever you have in the house.
Sam
• So Sam lives with a kind of coddling mom, does not have sisters, so like. His mom wouldn't talk to him about it. He has no 'personal' experience with it.
• Would be the most clueless-
• But he would definitely be like, "oh babe that sucks let me know what I can do"
• Gives you more cuddles, helps on the farm.
• Super enthusiastic about making you comfortable! He makes it into a way bigger deal than it is but he is genuinely curious about stuff so you think it's cute.
• After your first one when your together he is much better prepared / informed so he isn't all over the place.
• Just very cute and well meaning.
An* I hope this was at least a little cute / silly / comforting / whateveryouwantedoutofthis! I base everything off of personal experience because, like, it's all I got- but more people should be comfortable talking about this! It's completely normal and just a basic human function. So if yours is different than what others describe, that's okay! If yours is exactly the same, also okay! Idk where I'm going with this, but there is no shame in having a period, and that's on that!
This also came off way more dramatic than I meant it to be, but I live for the drama so it's okay (this applies to both the fic and the author's note-)

May I request some fluff of SDV bachelors (Harvey, Seb, Shane) with a farmer who’s sick, overworked, or just generally needs to take a break?
Hi there! This is such a cute fluff prompt I’m happy to write! What I did was I took each bachelor and matched them up with one of the prompts you gave me as follows:
Sebastian taking care of sick reader
Shane taking care of farmer that needs a break
Harvey taking care of overworked farmer
Thank you for your patience too! I’m in the middle of moving and things have been crazy lol
Sebastian:
The morning sun streamed through the bedroom window, blinding your eyes as you started to wake from a long night’s rest. You’d been so exhausted, spending all day outside on your snowy farm to prepare for spring’s arrival, and with it the planting of crops and trees. It soon became evident you’d stayed out a little too long without enough layers, as a telltale sharp pain stung your throat while drinking a glass of lukewarm water. Your nose felt stuffy, making it hard to breathe, and it felt as though your body was creaking from your every movement, aching and shaking while simultaneously sweating buckets. Groaning, you pushed yourself out of bed, trying not to wake your husband. Sebastian was still sound asleep, lightly snoring with his arm across his bare chest.
While attempting to walk to the bathroom to find some medicine, your vision started growing blurry, swaying on your feet. Gripping the bathroom sink to steady yourself, you call out your husband’s name, before sinking to the floor.
“Y/n? Y/n! Hon are you okay? Let’s get you to bed.” Sebastian’s deep voice rings in your head, as you feel his big arms scooping you up into the air, placing you gently onto your shared bed. The lightheaded feeling begins to fade away, as Sebastian kneels by your side of the bed, holding your hand gently, worry and fear riddled in his face. You finally turn to look at him, smiling gently to attempt to ease his worries.
“Hi love,” Your voice comes out barely as a croak. “I think I spent a bit too much time outside yesterday.” You attempt to joke, to which Sebastian smiled.
“That seems pretty clear, dumbass,” He teased you.
“Why don’t I go make you some tea? I’ll make your favorite.”
“With extra honey?”
“Of course love.” He reluctantly lets go of your hand to head for the kitchen, returning with a steaming cup of hibiscus tea, with extra honey at your request.
The rest of your day is spent resting, much to your reluctance, Sebastian even threatened to tie you to the bed if you don’t comply. After digging for ingredients, he found all the materials to make you pumpkin soup, to soothe your throat he says.
“Warm fluids will help your throat, and take some of this medicine as well, I know it doesn’t taste good but it’ll make you feel better.”
After refusing, claiming, “it tastes like piss”, he spoon feeds you your medicine, laughing at your scrunched face in disgust.
“Come on it’s not funny! That stuff is disgusting.”
“How can I not laugh darling, you’re just so cute when you look like that.”
When Seb’s pumpkin soup is finished cooking, he’d spoon feed you that as well, this time for his own enjoyment. After your belly is full from medicine and hot soup, Seb crawled behind up you on your bed to wrap you in his arms.
“But you’ll get sick too!”
“I don’t care, my only priority is you right now. Now, rest well my love,” He whispers, fingers tangled in your hair.
Shane:
Your hastily scribbled notes lay sprawled in front of you, scattered across your desk, some even fallen to the floor. Plans for a new layout for the farm, new buildings to be put in place, fences and paths that needed replacing, ground to be tilled and crops to be planted. It felt as though there was so much to do and not enough time nor resources to do it, and spring was approaching ever closer by the day, as the snow began to melt and patches of dirt and grass began to peek through. You sighed, placing your head in your hands, a raging headache pounding against your skull. You didn’t even hear your front door creak open when you heard the sound of boots thumping into your home. Whipping your head around, you see your boyfriend, Shane, standing by the entrance of your room, a sad expression on his face.
“Babe, you look awful. What are you still doing up at this hour?”
Glancing over to your wall clock, it read 1:00 am. You groaned, turning back to him with a grimace.
“Gee thanks Shane. I’m just going over the new farm plans for the season.”
He walks closer, examining your many papers and notes strewn around your work area.
“Y/n, when was the last time you slept? And I mean really slept.”
You can’t seem to remember.
“I don’t know. What day even is it?” You muttered, eyes trained at the ground.
He bends to your level, lifting your chin with his fingers.
“Baby you need to go to sleep. And today is Friday to answer your question.”
Your eyes widen at your realization.
“We had a date planned tonight didn’t we? Oh my god I’m so sorry Shane, I didn’t mean to forget, I thought for sure it was tomorrow.”
Tears begin to brim in the corners of your eyes, and Shane wraps you in a big hug, placing his warm jacket around you.
“I couldn’t care less about that. It isn’t like you to forget stuff since you always seem so on top of everything, so I guessed something might have happened to you. But that’s not important now, have you eaten anything yet?”
The last thing you ate was some berries from your fridge you picked a few days prior, you’d made it your midnight snack the night before.
“No.”
“Then I’ll go make something for you, in the meantime you go get some pajamas on and sit in bed, I’ll bring it to you.”
“But what about-”
He shushes you.
“It can wait. Now please go rest before I have to drag you there myself.” He smiles, leaving for the kitchen.
Harvey:
You wiped your forehead with your dirt-ridden gloves, having finally finished the exhausting task of removing all of your summer crops to prepare for the impending fall season. The muscles and joints of your body seemed to creak and groan with every movement, soreness tainting every part of you as you winced to even walk. Pulling a crumpled piece of paper from your pocket, you inspect your list of tasks. There was still so much to be done and fall would be here in two days, the thought of it filling you with anxiety. Trudging towards the silo to harvest wheat, you heard the sound of footprints making their way towards you.
“Hey there love! I prepared you a healthy meal to give you strength while you work, it has - y/n are you alright? Y/n?”
He holds your lunch, his smile dimming as your knees finally give out from exhaustion, the last thing you see is his figure hovering above you, quickly assessing your state and vitals, his voice slowly fading out as he attempts to calm himself down and focus on caring for you.
When you awake, you’re lying in one of Harvey’s clinic beds, eyes blinded by the sheer brightness of the room. Thankfully, you aren’t hooked up to any of his fancy machines, and Harvey is sat by your right side, watching you intently. When he notices you stirring, he jolts upward, glasses tilted on his face.
“Y/n! Thank goodness you’re awake, how are you feeling?”
You shimmy yourself to sit up, your muscles sore but not as fatigued as before.
“Tired mostly, and a bit sore,” you pause.
“I’m sorry Harvey.”
He frowns a bit, “Please don’t be sorry. But I do want to know how you got to this point, if you’re willing to confide in me?”
He asks tentatively.
You nod, and explained your unending list of tasks, coupled with the hours of hard work you’ve put in. Harvey listens to you intently, nodding as you go.
“And then you came to bring me some food, and I just collapsed because I was so tired. There’s still so much to be done before fall and I only have two more days to get everything else finished-”
Harvey quickly cuts you off, “Leave it to me. I’m not the most adept at farm work but I believe I can perform an adequate enough job for now.”
He smiles, gently grabbing your hand to hold it clasped in his.
“Remember my love, I am always here for you. Whether to ease your worries or complete tasks for you. Never feel as though you are a burden by asking for help.”
Smiling back at him, he helps you up from your bed, escorting you back to your farm for some well deserved rest and care.

A random thought, you remember the achievement when we get the Statue of Perfection or Statue of True Perfection. Everyday we received iridium ore or random items, then how will the SDV/SVE Bachelors, (can you add the adventurers and mages) gonna react to this huge looking (gold/iridium) teddy bear appear in the farm and everyday a random item pops out.
(I mean I would find it weird and intriguing, that I woke up the next day just to see a huge looking teddy bear appeared on my spouse's arms.)
...A teddy bear?
*looking at a picture on the SDV wiki*
It's a cat, isn't it? I always thought it was a cat. *Looking again* Although the ears are a little round, it does looks like a bear. Kinda...
Anyway, good to see you in my askbox again! Enjoy some headcanons 💕 And I'm interested to hear from others, who do you see in these statues, the bear or the cat?
_________________________________________
SDV bachelors react to Statue of Perfection/True Perfection:
...Was there some kind of strange fashion for huge jewelled statues or something? It wasn't enough for Shane to find a gold statue of Lewis in Marnie's room (of course, she refused to say how it got there in the first place), but now Farmer had one. Well, at least Shane's spouse had chosen a cute animal instead of one with the hideous mayor's face on it. "Why?" "That statue gives us ore every day." "...So you can do nothing and you'll make a profit. Wow, that's handy stuff." A useful statue and a nice looking one, so Shane didn't mind.
Imagining the life of a rich and famous athlete, which Alex aspired to, he still didn't understand some of the oddities of people living in luxury. For example, the habit of ordering gold statues with encrusted gems. Alex's spouse had received a statue of Perfection as a reward for their deeds, but those who just bought them and tried to pass them off as some kind of achievement? Weird. They usually also ugly looking, not like Farmer's statue that looks like a bear, or maybe it's a cat, and... ??? Did the statue just give him a prismatic shard??????
"Darling, where did you get this?" "One statue was given to me by Grandpa. The other I got as a reward." Never before had Harvey seen statues as tall as himself made of pure iridium. The doctor hadn't paid much attention to it before, thinking they were just strange decorations made of inexpensive metal. But later, while rearranging the bedroom, Harvey began to scrutinise each of the statues. "Your Grandpa had unusual taste in furniture." "It's not about taste, it's about to get ore." And Farmer took the iridium ore and the prismatic shard from the two statues, leaving Harvey in complete shock.
To be honest, Sebastian was a little disappointed when Farmer told him that the Statue of Perfection wasn't some sort of totem for worshipping spirits or gods. Too bad, he was already prepared to listen with interest about how these statues were connected to all sorts of occult stuff, but alas. "Well, I wouldn't say the statues are simple, hon." When Sebby saw with his own eyes that these metal figures yielded ore, he opened his mouth in amazement. "Cool." Okay, now Sebastian was even more interested in how this magic statue worked.
Sam's been doting on the cute faces of the iridium statues for about half an hour now. "Heh, adorable. Where did you acquire that statue?" "Got it from Grandpa's Shrine." "...Huh? From where?" The young guitarist guessed that the statues were unusual, but he didn't realise that there was a whole adventure story behind them with all the weirdness. "And one of the conditions of getting statue was to pet your dog?" "Yeah! Well, I'd pet the dog anyway because I love our dog, statue or not, but yeah." Sam doesn't understand anything, but he's still interested! Like wow, cool magic statue!
When Elliott was touring for his book signings, he managed to visit several museums in Zuzu City that were full of similarly unusual statues and figures. At least the statues his spouse purchased weren't the spawn of nightmares (Elliott doesn't judge art, but he certainly wouldn't want those decorations in his home). "They're not just cute, dear" When one of the statues produced a prismatic shard, the writer was speechless. But then he had an idea... "The hero went on an adventure in search of a statue of eternal wealth... Not a bad plot for a novel, don't you think?"
SVE bachelors react to Statue of Perfection/True Perfection:
Magnus can't believe his own eyes. "This is an endless source of iridium ore - a dream for treasure seekers, and a topic of discussion among mages and witches as to the origin of this relic. But also the cause of death for many, ruined by their own greed and envy." The wizard hopes that his spouse will not meet the same fate. He also tries to restrain himself from the urge to study the Statue of Perfection by being cautious. Magnus knows that Farmer's intentions are pure, and they have earned such a reward through hard work, but just in case.
"You definitely had to go through many trials and do incredible things to obtain such a treasure, my dear. A worthy reward for someone like you." Lance knows very well that even the richest person in the world cannot afford such a magical statue, it only has to be earned. And his dear spouse has earned not one, but two whole statues. Lance knows how these statues work, so not surprised about that. But the pink-haired man is more interested in the exact merits for which Farmer was so honoured. Lance wouldn't mind hearing their story over a glass of wine.
Oh, it's.... the Statue of Perfection! It's real! What? Of course Victor knows about it! Well, not that he knows for sure, but he's read books about various artifacts and relics that were covered in mysteries. The books themselves were written by adventurers, and there were at least a few mentions of a legendary Statue of Perfection that would bring the owner happiness and wealth. Or something like that. But now Victor's spouse has been given a true legend for their hard work! It's impressive, and he is very proud of Farmer!
_________________________________________
Bonus reaction from non-marriage SVE adventurers/mages:
"What do we have here~ Sweetie, you have no idea what powerful magic these statues contain." It wasn't even the fact that the two pure iridium statues yielded ore and a prismatic shard every day that interested Camilla. The Castle Village witch believes there is something else stored inside, something that would be good to study. Wealth doesn't interest her, but potential magic does.... "I wonder how the Farmer got such a treasure, hmm? You'll tell your friend Camilla, right?
The first time Alesia saw the statues of Perfection, she thought Farmer worshipped some kind of animal spirits. She herself is an Yoba worshipper, but has no dislike for other beliefs. "If this is not totem, then what?" From the information she's received about the statue, the sniper is silent from shock for a few seconds, then says, "According to the legends, people, blended with greed, killed each other to get their hands on these relics. Do not repeat their fate, young adventurer. And be careful who you share this information with." Alesia hoped Farmer wouldn't get themself into trouble...
Jadu is going to faint with happiness. These are the same statues of Perfection that wizards and adventurers have been searching for for centuries! The metal artifacts made of pure iridium simply radiate magic! They have a rather lovely appearance, the wizard should note, very cute.... But he's distracted! Jadu almost begs Farmer to let him study them. Like Camilla, he's interested in the knowledge hidden in the statues, not the iridium ore itself.
Are these THE statues of Perfection that half of all adventurers and wizards would kill themselves over? Pfft, it looked like some cheap obscure bear-faced thing. Isaac is not impressed. And the presence of ore in the statue didn't surprise him much either ("I've seen stranger things"). Still, the grumpy adventurer will not deny the fact that Farmer has achieved this, albeit silly-looking, reward by hard work. So they're worth something. Maybe Farmer is not as hopeless as Isaac previously thought. ("Thanks Isaac. I guess...").

headcanons for haley sdv?
𝑮𝑬𝑵𝑬𝑹𝑨𝑳 𝑯𝑬𝑨𝑫𝑪𝑨𝑵𝑵𝑶𝑵𝑺 𝑭𝑶𝑹 𝑯𝑨𝑳𝑬𝒀 ♡‧₊˚ ⋆
synopsis :: general headcannons for haley
authors note :: first request tysm!! sorry it took so long!! I hope you like it!!🫶💖
╰✦ Vlogging. She has a vlogging channel where she does storytimes and vlogs about what she’s doing that day. Haley does challenges and maybe almost has like tiktok. She might sometimes include Alex in her vlogs. I also feel like she definitely has a compilation of her moments like judging people or like sarcastic moments.
╰✦ Modeling. Even though she loves doing photography and being the person taking the pictures, she does have a interest in modeling and has done some modeling. She might bring Emily on shoots or even farmer as well and she would be so excited right after doing them and when they print out, she would be handing them out to people all excited!
╰✦ Baking. One of her big hobbies besides photography is baking. She likes baking stuff for people(most farmer) to try and critique it. She would also bake some things for the events going on in towns and maybe dinner parties.
╰✦ Dogs. Haley gives off more of a dog person than a cat person. Not that she hates cats but she prefers dogs.
╰✦ Holidays. She loves the holidays including Flower Dance, Luau, and Feast of the Winter Star. Decorating and vlogging for it to prepare is her favorite part of the holidays. I feel like once she moves on the farm she also likes to decorate there!
╰✦ Gossip. Haley is the type of person to wait until she hangs out with someone to drop like a bunch of drama. She’s also a quiet instigator in private she’s like “I can’t believe they would say that to you”. Her main gossip buddy is Sam most definitely. (She tried with Alex but he wasn’t remembering stuff and she eventually stopped telling him stuff😭)
╰✦ Love Language. Receiving, she likes gifts and physical touch. She likes to hold your hand especially if you guys are in a crowd. Giving, she usually does quality time and acts of service(her helping on the farm). She likes to bring her spouse along with her on her blogs, shoots and just photograph!
╰✦ Music. She’s definitely a pop girly. She listens to Britney Spears, Dua Lipa, Christina Aguilera, and Dove Cameron(she lowkey reminds me of her). She loves going to concerts too! Like she saves up to be in the front of every concert. She also has tried to do photography for them at one point.
╰✦ Dressup. People definitely come to Haley for makeovers or to get dressed up for dates. Even though I feel like she’s a bit standoffish she gets more friendly and excited when people ask for her help in this kind of stuff. She is rather brutally honest but it’s because she wants the look to be the best it can be!
╰✦ Games. Speaking of Dress Up, I feel like Haley would love DTI and like that one girl's website growing up with all the makeovers. I feel like she would end up getting banned from roblox because she would end up raging on the game(aka speaking her truth).

Inhibition - Beau x Elliott Fluffy Fluff
Hello!! I love @fuerrziah and her beautiful SDV art, especially her farmer Beau and (my love always) Elliott!
I hope you like this extreme slow burn (non-canon) fic of their first kiss and love confession, idk if I missed some of the lore but I tried to stick to your updated ship dynamic🩷
(also sorry it took so long but work and stuff)
I listened to this gorgeous song while writing:
Warnings: Swearing, Lustful Kissing lol idk
————
The song of the waves echoed sweetly in Beau‘s ear. Willy had gifted him this crappy fishing rod some time ago, but it was better than nothing. Fish always got him decent coin and he was too lazy to craft a newer one.
The rusty flakes of the handle chipped away with every strong gust of wind. Some landed in the farmer‘s long hair, but he barely acknowledged it.
It was close to midday. Last time he checked the time it was around 10:00, but that was after leaving his farm.
His red eyes couldn‘t help but dart to the shack sitting peacefully on the sand while he prepared the bait.
Beau wouldn‘t admit it to anyone, but he had a different reason to be there almost daily. Even if just for a quick wave or a short glance.
It was worth it every time.
Still too early, he thought, as he stretched his back while preparing to throw the line. The spring flower scented air swirled in his nose and mixed well with the oddly comforting salty mist that prickled his cheeks.
His skin glistening with kind droplets, Beau took a strong step back and hurled the fishing line into the water.
Knowing that the fish here usually took some time to notice free food above their heads, the farmer plopped himself down on the dock and let his legs swing above the soapy water.
Staring at the horizon, he felt a yawn tickle the back of his throat and he allowed himself to let out a loud sigh. He hadn‘t slept well. Some nights had been better than others, but the vile voices had won last night. It was difficult to feel at home in Stardew Valley, yet. The only real comfort he got was Miso and the girls in the Valley. And the nice conversations with someone in particular.
After what felt like an hour, Beau‘s stomach began to growl. He forgot to eat breakfast. He stared down at bit more impatiently at the slack line bobbing on the water‘s surface. He could make out a few fish shadows that rudely ignored his bait.
A particular one seemed to stare at the bobbing treat for a while until hastily turning away and swimming deeper into the blue hue.
„Asshole…“ Beau let out as he watched the tease.
„No luck today?“
A hot shiver snaked its way up the farmer‘s back, making him jolt and almost lose his grip on the fishing rod. He had already recognized the deep, sweet voice but turned anyway to gaze upon the one he had hoped to run into.
Elliott stood on the edge of the dock, a few long steps away from Beau, and waved kindly while the strong wind swept his luscious red hair to one side.
How can he look so good with messed up hair?
He realized he had been staring without answering: „Uh- nope. The fish don‘t seem that pleased with the cheap bait I made.“
Elliott gazed at the sunshine speckling the water. Beau tore his eyes away from the writer and pretended to fiddle with the line as he felt another yawn escape him. He tried to hide it in his sleeve. As he haphazardly pretended to busy his hands, Elliott walked towards the farmer.
Planting himself quite close, the redhead left his hands in his pockets and took a deep breath. The sound of his exhale gave Beau goosebumps.
„You look weary, dear Beau. How about we meet at the Saloon later for a few hearty laughs with fine ale“ Elliott suggested, his calm exterior hiding the internal fireworks.
„SURE!“ the farmer answered a bit too loudly and quickly. Beau‘s face felt like lava. He was both weary and exhausted. His energy had been at half its volume the entire morning. He really just wanted sleep. But he couldn‘t pass up a chance to hang out with that hunk of a man again. It was always a good time.
Elliott chuckled: „I‘m looking forward to it then. I‘ll probably head over there around 4. See you then?“
Beau nodded hastily, while he was internally calculating if he had enough time to take a nap, shower, find food and eat something. His chickens needed food too.
Elliott smiled down at him, secretly clenching his fists in triumph, and then ventured back towards the beach walkway up to town, most likely on his way to the library.
When the writer was out of his frame of vision, Beau frantically packed everything together, leaving the rod in the water. At that moment, he felt a sharp tug.
„Oh for fuck‘s sake, NOW you bite?!“
Taking it as the taunt that it was, he dropped his bag and tensed his muscles to pull it in.
„You‘re not getting away!“ he growled at the fat fish tht writhed under the surface. It wasn‘t letting up so easily. It thrashed and wiggled trying to escape, but he was determined to at least throw something into the Shipping Bin today. The tug of war strained his muscles, but he clenched his thighs and biceps with one final pull, yanking the big halibut out from the splashing ocean. It jittered feebly and Beau let out a loud „HAH!“ when he held in his hand from its fin.
A flash of Elliott‘s face across his mind made Beau shriek quietly and remember he needed to get ready. Hastily packing everything up with the fresh halibut in his hand, the farmer ran back towards his farm.
———
The nap hadn‘t really happened. He barely got a few minutes in before remembering all the things he needed to do before going to meet Elliott. He still needed to put the harvested strawberries in the preserves jars so that they would be ready for Gus in a few weeks. He had forgotten that Robin had ordered a ton of stone that needed to be delivered today of all days, so he would need to do a whole round through the Valley to meet the deadline and still make it in time to the Saloon.
Beau now quickly shaved the bits of stubble on his chin, while his towel clung for dear life around his hips. Hair still damp, he attempted to brush it, but it kept getting caught on some knots. Brushing more aggressively while inventing new swear words, he finally managed to make it look somewhat presentable. It would dry quickly anyway while walking.
Running to his closet, he was briefly frozen in front of it unsure what to wear that wouldn‘t look too disheveled. Briefly experimenting with new combinations in the mirror, he threw the ideas on the ground and settled for his regular set.
Pants half on, Beau skipped towards the door, avoiding Miso who lay on the warm wood by jumping to the side. Her eyes slowly followed his movements keeping her head comfortably nestled on her paws, somewhat judgmentally.
„Sorry, Miso-„ Beau grunted with his shirt in his mouth while he buttoned his pants. Throwing the shirt and jacket on, the farmer ran to his fruit chests by the house, picked up as many strawberries as he could carry, threw them haphazardly into the preserves jars, ran to the coop to open the door so the chickens could eat and then continued towards the pile of stone he had freshly mined the day before. Stuffing them without counting into this bag, he glanced at the clock to see a scathing 3:30 pm appear on its face.
„Fuck!!!“
Jumping to his feet while flinging the backpack onto his back, Beau ran up to the side passage leading towards the mountains.
Sprinting with exhausted limbs and an empty stomach (he forgot to eat), he made it to Robin‘s Shop. He opened the door with such force, that it banged against the wall.
„Beau!? Wha-“ Robin attempted to speak.
„Here!“ The hectic farmer began unloading the stones onto her desk. Not waiting for a reply (and forgetting his payment), he turned on his heels and bolted back out the door, leaving an extremely confused carpenter yelling after him to collect his reward.
Beau tripped over a rock but caught himself quickly while dashing down the mountain to reach town. People passing him tried to greet him, but were met with a gaspy: „No time!“ while he continued panting down the road.
———
Elliott stood at a high table, scribbling frantically on a small piece of paper. He crossed everything out and grunted at the continues disappointment in his own writing.
Gus eyed the pile of scrunched up paper on the floor beside the distraught red head, but chose to wait if he would actually leave it there. Usually, the writer was more considerate than that. Something seemed to preoccupy him today. Cleaning a glass carefully, he watched Elliott vigorously scratch out another line and then exhale loudly with an exasperated „Come on!“
The saloon owner watched Elliott take another huge sip of his drink.
In that moment the door burst open rather inelegantly. Beau stood in the door way, the green hair wild from the wind and letting it air dry. Gus blinked, noticing Elliott‘s sudden straight back and swift hiding of the sea of papers by letting his jacket fall on the floor. Realizing why the writer was so desperate to finish in time, the saloon owner began moving towards the side of the bar where Elliott was seated; to clean of course.
Beau panted a bit, his eyes pulled like magnets to Elliott‘s red hair.
He felt his knees shake at the sight of him: he sat so properly with that gorgeous smile and luscious locks, directing that beam at the farmer. Beau felt unworthy of his attention, but he couldn‘t help but want to be close.
„Beau!“ Elliott called sweetly, waving towards the high table, invitingly. Gus watched the writer kick his jacket a bit further under the big curtain next to him.
Beau was breathless and attempted to squeeze out of a response while walking towards his friend, but his throat gave up. Reaching the table, he coughed briefly into his closed fist and joined the smiling writer.
Elliott looked over at the bar, where Gus pretended to be particularly interested in his coffee machine which he wasn‘t using at this moment. Seeing the writer looking his way, he met his gaze.
„Another round for me, Gus! And uh…“ Elliott looked back at Beau who blushed uncontrollably, „you prefer wine right?“
Beau nodded and called to the bar keep: „Red wine for me!“ Gus nodded and went on to prepare the drinks.
The farmer was dead tired and running on an empty stomach. This could only go well.
Elliott and Beau talked about daily chit chat things, which would normally bore the farmer to death. But with him, sharing these small insignificant details about life felt strangely comforting. He just had a way of turning the mundane into magic with the way he spoke about things. Beau could listen to him for hours and Elliott, oddly, loved hearing about the farming shenanigans he got up to. He was always particularly fascinating by Beau‘s mining stories.
„And you truly don‘t feel frightened down there? In the dark?“ Elliott asked with a sweet viridescent twinkle in his eye.
Beau chuckled: „Not really. I have my sword and I found a ring that emits a good amount of light, so it‘s never too. The zombies surprise attack me sometimes, but they’re pretty slow. Cause you know… they‘re zombies…“
They shared a laugh, taking another swig of their drinks together. Beau already felt lightheaded. The air felt fuzzy and warm, the tender voice of his table companion making his body simultaneously tense up and relax at the same time.
„You‘re so brave, I could never venture down there…“ Elliott looked up from his pint, a particular stare that Beau had noticed before. His eyes wandered from the farmer‘s eyes down his arms and across the chest. It was only for a brief moment, but it made Beau feel dizzy. He was probably imagining it, wishful thinking. He was tipsy anyway. Everything sounds like flirting when you‘re inebriated. He tried to mimic Elliott’s sultry stare just in case he was flirting, but one of his eyes twitched uncontrollably from exhaustion, so he stopped trying and kept his focus on his glas.
„More stupid, than brave.“ Beau replied jokingly, while swirling the red liquid in his glas.
Stupid. A familiar insult he was trying to reclaim for himself.
Elliott‘s eyes immediately widened in response.
„Oh no, Beau! Please don‘t say such things. You‘re not stupid at all.“
It happened so suddenly. Elliott‘s soft hand rested on Beau‘s and they both stared at the sudden impact.
Beau could feel his cheeks burning up and noticed the same happening on the writer‘s. They didn‘t notice, but Gus had paused his cleaning and remained frozen, just like they were as well.
„Ah!“ Elliott took his hand away suddenly. „I apologize, I - uh didn‘t want to -„
Beau wasn‘t sure what to do. He liked it. Loved it actually. But Elliott‘s fast recoil confused him.
„It‘s fine, don‘t worry about it“ Beau tried to sound calm but the hoarseness in his voice gave away his nerves.
Not knowing what else to answer, Beau chugged the rest of his wine and waved weirdly to Gus for another one.
Elliott seemed to be fiddling with a scrunched up paper in his lap, cheeks still a peachy hue.
„So uhm… Beau, we‘ve been hanging out a lot and uh…“ Gus came over and replaced the empty glas of wine with a new one. He seemed to take his sweet time returning to the bar.
The paper crunched again. Beau wasn’t sure if he was opening or closing it. In any case, Elliott seemed to be particularly fascinated with his own lap.
„You see… I really...“ He paused again, his head jolting down again, rereading what he had written apparently. His face was turning purple now.
Beau‘s grip on the glas was so tight, he was terrified it would break in half. What was he trying to say?
Elliott gulped. Gus hadn‘t moved. He was fixed in his „walking away“ position.
The door burst open again and some more towns people wandered it, immediately increasing the tranquil volume of the Saloon.
The kids walked in, as well. Abigail spotted Beau and waved frantically. She started towards their table.
Elliott, seeing that she was approaching, sighed.
„Nevermind.“
Beau‘s entire body slumped. Elliott couldn‘t look him in the eye, disappointment clearly visible on his serious face as he chugged more from his pint, requesting another.
Gus shook his head and finally returned to his station to prepare the writer‘s drink and take new orders.
Abigail reached them and made the rest of her friends join her, not realizing the moment they had interrupted.
They sat around Beau and Elliott, telling them about their newest song, while Abigail asked about any cool stones Beau might‘ve found in the mines recently.
———
Hours passed, the Saloon filling up even more. Beau and Elliott kept drinking, not being able to hold their personal conversation here and deciding to drown that fact with more liquor.
Still, they laughed and enjoyed each other’s company. Even after a frustrating start, being near each other always felt strangely like home. A home in a homeless place. At least it did for Beau.
But they were smashed. Walking out of the Saloon, it suddenly hit Beau how drunk he actually was. Did the lamp posts always have three bulbs?
Stumbling, the two of them decided some fresh ocean air would help them both stand a bit straighter.
Struggling to walk normal in the sand, Elliott held his belly from laughing so hard while Beau walked like a dizzy flamingo towards the water.
Looking back, having finally reached the dock and hearing the comforting waves, Elliott had joined him wiping tears of laughter from his eye. Beau tried to take his shoes off, but fell over.
Elliott grabbed Beau‘s arm and pulled him back to a standing position, giggling still.
„Careful there. Are you alright?“ he asked.
Beau tried to focus on his handsome face. Seeing three of them wasn‘t that bad actually.
„Fine and dancy~“ he replied.
Elliott was still holding onto his arm. Letting go slowly, he looked up to the night sky and took a deep and slow breath. He turned away, looking into the distance. The stars twinkled on the water‘s surface. Beau wanted him to hold his arm again, mostly for stability because he couldn‘t stand straight, but also because it was nice to feel his touch.
Elliott seemed more stable. Probably because he hadn‘t drunk on an empty stomach.
„Beau…“ Elliott said gently, still looking out towards the ocean.
„Yessir~“
What the fuck was that? Say something normal.
Elliott chuckled cutely. Catching himself again, he pulled a paper out of his pocket. He looked at it briefly, then put it away again.
„A heaven on earth I have won by knowing thee…so are thou to my thoughts as food to life, or as sweet-seasoned showers are to the ground…“
There was a brief pause. Beau wasn‘t sure what to reply to that. His sober brain knew it meant something profoundly sweet, but the wine made it difficult to understand.
„Thee? Am I a king or something now?“ He noticed the world spinning a bit too fast. It was hard to stand still. He caught himself from falling backwards, edging closer to the dock‘s end.
Elliott laughed again. His eyes finally moving away from the ocean, he looked at the farmer with a tenderness Beau wasn‘t sure what to do with. Although he was clearly blushing, something seemed to be giving him courage this time.
„Shakespeare does have a way to alienate. I have been trying for weeks to write out my own words, but nothing came close to his...“
Elliott turned himself towards Beau, taking his hands out of his pockets. He fidgeted a bit with his jacket.
„I…really enjoy being in your presence, Beau. I haven‘t felt this way before…you‘re just… so easy to talk to. I don‘t want anything to ruin what we have so I‘m struggling to- uhm…“
Elliott gulped once again. The tension in Beau’s muscles convulsed as he heard his heart beating so fast, it might burst. Was this a confession?
Taking another deep breath, he finally stared intently into Beau‘s eyes:
„I have a bouquet in my shack. I want to give it to you.“
There was an eruption of glee within Beau‘s chest. An unstoppable need to say everything at once. He had wanted this ever since he‘d met the writer here on the beach. But Elliott had prepared a sweet speech and written stuff about him for weeks?! He bought a bouquet for him?!?!?! For him?!?
Beau felt his body fall backwards, he had tried to catch himself from falling and unknowingly took a step into thin air. Not realizing he was actually falling into the ocean, Beau exclaimed:
„YOU ARE SO FUCKING HANDSOME!!!“
Water crashed into his ears. Silence encompassed his entire body as he sank deeply into the dark ocean. Instinctively kicking his feet, he tried to breach the surface, but he was confused which way was up.
A slight panic gripped him as he thrashed about in many directions. The residual air quickly depleting his lungs from the fear of drowning.
A strong hand wrapped around his flailing arm. With a sharp tug, he suddenly broke out of the crushing depths and took a harsh inhale of fresh air.
Elliott pulled Beau back onto the sand, his wet red hair sticking to his neck. Beau coughed aggressively, spitting out water. The sobering event making his thoughts a bit clearer, he sat up quickly and was met with Elliott‘s face right up close.
„YOU LIKE ME?!“
Elliott coughed a bit while he laughed once more at the comical priorities Beau had: „Yes, I really do…“
Beau couldn‘t believe it. Was he dreaming and actually snoring in his bed? Had this whole day actually happened?
Realizing Elliott was checking him for injuries, Beau took the writer‘s hand into his own. They were both now new colors of deep red.
„I‘m fine. Sorry about that.“ He kept his hand in his grasp. The world wasn‘t spinning that much anymore. They were so close, like never before. Foreheads were almost touching and Beau could smell the sweet and sour scent of ale from the writer‘s mouth.
„You think I‘m handsome?“ Elliott purred, lips so close they had their own gravitational pull.
Beau nodded. His eyes flickered between Elliott‘s and the lips drawing closer.
Giving in, Beau let his head tilt forward and their lips finally collided.
At first it was soft and hesitant, both feeling each other out. Briefly releasing, Elliott fell forward again, deepening the kiss into a more firm and longing one, which Beau responded in kind. The kiss grew hungrier the more their lips met, as their bodies pressed into one another. Elliott snuck his leg under Beau‘s, forcing his hips to open slightly.
Elliott released, breathing heavily: „Is this.. ok?“
Beau nodded immediately and quickly, not wanting his lips to be apart from the writer‘s. They reconnected again, sinking deeper into the cold sand the more they writhed within each other‘s embrace.
Feeling the chill of the night‘s air surrounding them, Beau placed his hand on Elliott‘s cheek and stared into the gorgeous green eyes that sparkled back at him.
„Wanna go someplace warmer?“ he asked, feeling Elliott shake slightly.
Elliott laughed again and agreed. He stood up first, reaching his arm down to pull Beau up, which he did easily. Both walked with their arms around each other‘s waists towards Elliott‘s house, still peppering kisses on each other.
„I assume this means you‘ll accept the bouquet?“ he asked, somewhat jokingly.
Beau let his head rest on Elliott‘s shoulder, giggling as well:
„Of course, I was hoping you‘d give me one.“
———
Back at the Saloon, Gus was picking up the pile of papers left behind by Elliott.
Curiosity getting the better of him, the barkeeper opened up a particularly crumbled up one and read:
„Dearest Beau,
With every glance, inhibitions fade,
Your touch a promise that I‘ve made,
To be unmasked, unchained, unafraid,
In my tender love for you, courage I save.
With you, my muse, I‘ve found my end“
Gus‘s mustache twitched as a brief smile etched across his face.

Your shane x reader are some of the first I read when i got into sdv, and they still hold a li special place in my heart <3 I love the way you wrote shane, jas, and the farmer (you kept the farmer rather neutral, but you still gave her moments of personality, rlly great stuff!), anyway, I'd love any shane related stuff you would do, but if your looking for a request, the reader teaching him abt farming/gardening (planting hot peppers together eee) i think would be rlly cute-ok bye lysm!!!
A/N: hey lovely!! If you're still around, thank you so much for this. I'm sorry it's taken so long for me to get to your request, but here it is! Hope it lives up to your expectations xx
Shane can feel you hovering behind him.
"What is it," he groans, not bothering to turn around.
"Sorry," he hears you say. "Just, be careful with the roots, please? I don't want all your work to be for nothing."
Well, he can't exactly fault you for that. If anything, he's ashamed because he was distracted while you showed him the whole thing about the roots.
He turns to look at you. "Would you, uh... mind showing me again?"
His stomach twists as you smile at him, thoroughly amused. "Sure thing. Here, let me get in there..."
You kneel beside him, knees firmly planted in the dirt beside his. You proceed to show him how to dig around the roots instead of into them for a second time that afternoon. For a second time, he finds it hard to focus with you so close, but he fights that a little harder this time.
"Here," you hand him back the trowel, "give it another shot."
He can't miss the way the look you give him is so damn encouraging. You've given him plenty of variations on that look by now, with various degrees of concern thrown into the mix. He proceeds to try digging up the pepper plant again, the sun boring down on the back of his neck as he does it.
"Am I getting it right, now?" he asks, glancing up at you quickly.
"Couldn't do it better myself," you nod exaggeratedly, and he fakes throwing dirt at you in retaliation.
It gets a laugh out of you, clear and joyful. It stirs something inside him, the feeling that's been nagging at him sort of often these days. It hits him like a ton of bricks in that moment that this is the feeling he used to chase all the way down the bottles, the sort of rush he used to think would make up for everything else.
He must've made a face when he realized it, because your brows furrow in concern.
"Are you o-" you start, but you're cut off short by a girlish squeal further down the field.
Him and you both shoot up, surveying the surroundings.
"Jas?" you half-shout, concerned.
"I think I need some help," her voice pipes up sheepishly, and the two of you finally spot her, fallen on her butt among the sunflowers.
You huff, relieved, and tell him you've got it with a brief touch on his arm before you leave in Jas's direction. Now that he knows she's not hurt, he can go back to making sense of his thoughts, yet he barely registers the lingering feeling of your fingers on his forearm.
He kneels and gets back to work, distraught. His first instinct is to worry. The therapist Harvey connected him with cautioned him pretty early on about the way some addicts replaced one addiction with another, and that all good things should perhaps be enjoyed in moderation while he was on the road to recovery.
You're the best thing in his life by far, but he failed to keep you at arm's length a long time ago now. He's not dense enough to be unaware that he's developed some pretty strong feelings for you. But this particular feeling is new-ish, and he doesn't quite know what to make of it. As his fingers dig up the pepper plant out of the ground and he gently removes chunks of dirt from the roots, Shane hopes really hard this doesn't mean he's allowed himself to veer all the way of the right path he's been trying so hard to stick to.
He hates to think about it, but maybe he needs to cool off on seeing you so often so he can at least get a grip. He can't even recall the last time he went a day without seeing you. Sometime in the spring, probably? It's the very end of summer now.
After he's transferred the plant to the wheelbarrow, Shane stands up and looks around. You're still helping Jas uproot some sunflowers, even though her initial job was just to collect the stray seeds. Officially, he and her were there to help you wrap up the summer crops so you could transfer some to your greenhouse. In reality, he was helping you; Jas was causing more trouble than she was helping, but you didn't seem to mind at all, more than happy to show her over and over how to handle things properly.
He didn't know how you did it. It's like you had an endless well of patience, and he knew he ought to have reached the pit of it by now. And yet, he had not. There were depths to your kindness that reached far enough that even after dealing with him through his recovery, you still had plenty left for Jas in all her fumblings and ill-advised adventures.
For the rest of the afternoon Shane managed to clear his mind and just keep working somewhat efficiently. Marnie came around just before dinnertime to get Jas, who was too exhausted from running around by then to protest. Marnie had also let him know she'd save him a portion of dinner for when he came home, but to take his time, which he'd made sure to thank her for.
It wasn't long until Jas left before you and him moved on to replanting the uprooted plants into the greenhouse. He liked that part more than the digging up; liked the hazy warmth of the greenhouse more than the blaring heat of the field. The two of you worked mostly in silence, both exhausted, him perhaps more than you.
After you planted the last of yours and he was halfway through his own last plant, he heard you clap your hands together to shake the dirt off your gloves, before you fully shrieked.
"What's wrong?" he quickly turned towards you.
"Your neck!" you replied, walking over to him. "Did you not put on sunscreen like I told you to?"
Shane instinctively reaches for the back of his neck, and while the sunburn doesn't hurt yet, he can feel the tell-tale heat coming off of it.
"Ah, shit. Think I missed a spot."
You tut at him, shooing his hand off so you can take a better look.
"You big idiot," you chastise him affectionately. "You're lucky I have an infinite amount of aloe in the house from last summer."
**************
As Shane steps out of the shower and into your steam-filled bathroom, he can already tell he'll be sore from all this work. He doesn't know how you do this every day. He tries to get a look at himself in the mirror, but it's too fogged up. Probably better that way, he thinks.
He's used your shower plenty of times before, and he's glad that at the very least it doesn't feel as awkward as it used to. While he was still in the pits of getting sober, you'd graciously let him stay over on your couch so Jas didn't have to see him struggle when it got too hard. He still doesn't know why you did that, or how to repay you for it.
After putting on his clothes, he steps out into your living room, where you're waiting for him with a huge tub of the goo you intend to smear on his sunburn. You've showered too, and made him do it after you because otherwise you claimed he'd just wash off the aloe later, which was probably right.
"C'mere," you beckon him over to sit on the arm of your couch.
He chuckles. It's funny to him, how bossy you get when you're trying to take care of him. Nevertheless, he does as he's told and dutifully sits down like you instruct him. And waits.
Nothing happens.
"You okay back there?" he asks, looking over his shoulder.
You raise a brow. "Aren't you gonna take off your shirt? How am I supposed to get this on you otherwise?"
He feels a bubble of panic rush up. He's in better shape than he used to be, but he's still not much to look at, and he doesn't like the idea of you finding that out like this. "Is that really necessary?"
You sigh, and he knows there will be no convincing you. He feels the tips of his ears burn as he lifts his shirt over his head, dropping it at his feet and taking precious care not to look back at you. "Happy?" he mumbles.
"Hmhm," you hum quietly behind him.
You bring your aloe-coated fingers to his burning skin, and instantly he feels consumed by ice-cold flames. He was not prepared for you to touch him quite so gently, to work the gel into his skin in tiny, careful circles. His throat runs dry as he's reminded of his earlier conclusion that he needs to take some time away from you, for both of your sakes. If the way his body is reacting to this isn't proof, he doesn't know what would be.
You let him know you're done, and he promptly puts his shirt back on. He wishes he hadn't when the stickiness gets a hold of the collar.
"So, just a heads up," you start, screwing the jar of aloe vera shut, "I'm gonna be really busy tomorrow I think. So maybe hanging out in the evening when I'm done would be better?"
He's taken aback by the way this is coming up faster than he anticipated. Still, No time like the present I guess, he thinks to himself.
"About that," he clears his throat, "I think it might be better if I spend some alone time for a while."
He watches you still. You look up at him slowly, visibly confused. "Have I done something wrong?" you ask, and it kills him. "I'm sorry if I have, I know I can be a little overbearing sometimes," you start to ramble, but he cuts you off.
"No, no, none of that," he tries to reassure you. "It's just, uh, how do I say this," he scratches at his head, genuinely at a loss. "Remember how I told you my therapist said I should, like, maybe be careful about things I enjoy a lot? And about... strong emotions?"
You nod, but he can tell from your slight frown you're still confused.
"Well, it's kinda like that. I feel really good when I'm with you. Maybe a little too good. Strong stuff. But I don't wanna depend on you to feel... good. I wanna keep this healthy, yeah?"
You ponder his words, and he can tell he hasn't really gotten his point across. "I mean, I think I get where you're coming from, maybe? But Shane, I think it's okay for you to have a support system. Is it really so bad if being with a friend makes you feel good? I think that's how most people feel."
He shakes his head, huffing. "No, it's not like that."
"Then what is it like?"
His eyes meet yours, and he feels weak. "Please don't make me say it," he whispers.
"Shane," you reach out to touch his shoulder, "You're worrying me."
He swallows. Before he knows it, it tumbles out of him. "I have feelings for you. I have for a while. And lately it's gotten a little out of control. So I need some time away from you to get over it, okay? I don't want things to be weird. I need you too much to have things be weird. So I need to figure it out before it gets there."
You stare at him, and he sees so many emotions run across your face that he gets dizzy.
"You... what?" you say quietly after a while.
He feels heat rise from his chest all the way to his ears, like some twisted type of nausea. "Forget it, alright? That's not the point I'm trying to make. I just..." he breathes, "I'll see you in a few days, yeah?"
He doesn't wait for a response. He goes for the door right away, in a real hurry to leave this place where everything is so blatantly yours, down to the smell of your lotion lingering in the air from your bare legs.
But you don't let him leave. He feels your hand on his arm, a real grip this time, and the next thing he knows you're reaching for his neck and bringing his mouth to meet yours. Shane thinks he's forgotten how to make his blood run, how to make his lungs breathe, how to make his limbs move. You're pressing your lips on his with a fervor he didn't even know you had in you. Then, with an instinct of its own, his body kicks back into gear, and he feels himself wrapping his arms around you, bringing you closer yet as he pours all the energy he has left into kissing you back.
It's desperation that compels him, because he never imagined this would ever happen outside of his mind, outside of his daydreams. He's not even convinced he'll ever get to do it again, so he's making this one count.
He genuinely has no idea how much time has passed when you break away from him, panting. You're not saying anything, just searching his eyes with yours.
"Please say something," he eventually breathes.
He watches as you swallow, then exhale loudly. "I don't want to see you in a few days only. I wanna see you now and in the middle of the night and every moment of every day. I don't want you to go and get over me, because I don't think I'll be able to get over you if you do, Shane. So don't leave me. Stay. Please."
Your words fluster him a great deal more than he already is. "Okay," he nods, in a half-daze.
"Yeah?" you make sure, still catching your breath.
"Yeah," he confirms. "Anything for you. Of course."

This is a super cliche trope but
Can you do fake dating with Harvey? :D maybe his family in Zuzu have constantly been bugging him for still being single, even more so than usual. and he’s close enough with the farmer to ask if they could just pretend for a day while they visit
I, obviously, kept this platonic between the farmer and Harvey, but man! It honestly killed me to write this. By nature, I tease people quite a bit- so to add that into this, it just made me laugh! I love the awkward Doctor man so much!
Inspiration to this was actually eating together with my family earlier! We are full of roasts and ways to tease each other, so it made this fun and easy to write.
**edit** I totally gave Harveys parents some names, by the way. His papa is William/Bill and his mama is Evelyn (which, now that I think about it. someone is named that in SDV. which is exactly what I wanted to avoid. i love myself) Sorry if the names are cringy, but I did it to make my writing easier. Sorry 😓😭
Please let me know what you think, bby! This ask was so unique, I thought about it- and I have seen this with a comic, but I haven’t seen anyone write it (most likely just haven’t see it yet lmao) but I hope I did this all justice! It was super super fun!! THANKS BBY!!
Word Count: 1796
The phone rung, loudly enough to pierce the ears of anyone in the room as the farmer sat on Harvey’s stool by the radio. They swung around in the direction of the phone to see Harvey answering it, “Hi, this is Doctor Harvey, what can I help you with?” He responded in his usual tone during work hours. It was currently 2pm and Harvey and the farmer normally spent this time together- drinking coffee and throwing around jokes till he had to close. It was nice for the farmer to get a break every day and Harvey normally wasn’t busy around this time, so it kept them both company.
They couldn’t make out the words on his call, but they listen closely anyways, “Oh! Mother, ha- yes, sorry, I didn’t recognize your voice for a second!” He admitted as the farmer could see him grip the phone tighter. His sweet smile seemed strained as he focused on the call, he looked… annoyed. “Ah, yes, business is fine around here. It gets a bit slow during the summer but picks up around fall and winter. Is there… any reason you called?” Harvey sat in his chair beside his table, hunched over as he used his elbow to keep the phone at his ear in place. His eyes searched around his room as he listened to his mother on the other line, never making eye contact with the farmer once. He dipped his head and rubbed the back of his neck before he suddenly stood up, “Ha, uhm-yeah, relationships? Y-yeah! I’m uhm… currently in one now!” He lied as he began to pace as much as the phone cord would allow. Wait, relationship? The farmer thought as they watched him slowly pace back and forth. They sipped their coffee, watching him under amused eyes as Harvey was lying to his family. Seems like his family takes that all seriously! They chuckled to themselves, letting out a small burp from their coffee. Harvey swung towards the farmer and held up a finger in a hushed tone- the farmer chuckled again. “Yes, they’re wonderful. I’m very happy,” He continued to lie through his teeth until a moment later when he stopped dead in his tracks. “Ah, no-no! You don’t have to come out!” He spoke, attempting to persuade his family their visit wasn’t necessary. When he realized there wasn’t any way of urging them to stay home, he accepted defeat and ended the call.
Silence filled the room as his stood there, staring at the ground. “Ah, you all right, Harvey? Sounds like your family is coming, yeah?” The farmer began, taking another sip of coffee. He didn’t respond and still didn’t make eye contact. He sat back in his chair by the table and gave a heavy sigh, “My family has been urging me to get into a relationship ever since I left home,” He softly chuckled to himself, it almost seemed panicked as he did so. The farmer began, slowly, “And you… just told them you’re in a relationship…” he nodded, “and… they’re coming out to visit” The farmer pieced together as they watched him lean his back against the table. He nodded again and rubbed his face with his hands. Another moment of silence ensued, “Okay-“ he started, blushing a bit. “Can you do me the biggest favor I’ll probably ever ask of you?” The farmer knew exactly where he was going with this, but they gave a muffled ‘mmhmm’ as they continued to drink their coffee.
“Can we pretend we’re dating while my family is in town?” The farmer knew what he was going to ask, but when they heard it- they almost spat out their coffee. “Us, really?” They wiped their mouth of excess coffee on to their sleeve- they watched Harvey quickly stand, nervously pacing once again. “I’m not close enough with anyone else in town, and- and, I think we can pull it off!” Harvey reassured them giving a worried smile, “Course- you can say n-“ “I’ll do it.” The farmer interrupted, “-but this totally means you owe me!” They stood, placing their empty coffee cup on Harveys radio. Harvey breathed a sigh of relief, “When are they coming out?” They asked him, “T-tomorrow” he mumbled, and the farmer jumped a bit in surprise. “Wait, really?? That gives us no time to prepare at all!” They argued and Harvey held up a hand to dismiss them. “Just be yourself. It’ll only be for the day since they only live in Zuzu city. If they stay for more than a day, then I’ll just tell them you’re busy with your farm work!” He compromised and the farmer sighed, “Fine. I’ll come by after I finish my work, and then I’ll think about how you can pay me back.” They gave him a wicked smile, but Harvey nodded, laughing it off.
The next day started as any other, but the farmer couldn’t feel but a bit worried about meeting his family. It’s going to be so awkward! What if they ask us to do like… romantic stuff together!? This is a disaster! They thought to themselves as they gave hay to their animals. They finished their work a bit later than usual, but they breathed in deeply to calm themselves down and made their way to Harveys.
When they reached his place, it was about 11am, and they walked inside to see Harvey at the front counter with his head in his heads. “No family, yet?” They spoke as they fixed their jacket and combed fingers through their hair to fix it. “No, not yet” he mumbled without looking up. They approached the counter, “Do you not get along with your family, or what? You seem so nervous.” Harvey looked up to meet the farmers eyes, “It’s not that- it’s just that they worry too much.” He explained, “You’re one to talk,” they teased, giving him a comfortable smile- hopefully to ease his stress. His eyes traced their hair and came back with, “You have a piece of hay in your hair,” He teased and sat up with a sigh. The farmer combed through their hair to find it, “And hey, I’m a doctor. It’s my job to worry, and I’m a full-grown man capable of making of my own decisions.” There was a brief pause before the farmer countered him, whispering, “Could have fooled me.” Harvey laughed. It seemed genuine for how nervous he was. Harvey was known to be a worrywart in town but seeing him nervous and stressed easily made the farmer pity him. “It’ll work out just fine. And they’ll be gone before you know it.”
A knock at the door startled them both and Harvey jumped from his chair to answer it. Standing there was an older man and woman. The man was taller than Harvey by about a few inches, and the woman standing next to him reached about chest height to the man. They both had gray hair and wore casual clothes- t-shirt and jeans, while the woman wore a green colored jacket. “Oh, my little Harvey! It’s so good to see you!” The woman, his mother, cooed to him. The farmer had to stifle their laughs before reaching out a hand to introduce themselves. “Nice firm handshake,” Harvey’s father commented to the farmer. “Name’s William, but you can call me Bill.” Harvey’s mother then chimed in, “And I’m Evelyn!” She smiled sweetly towards the farmer, and they knew where Harvey got his smile from.
Their time together went by really well- Bill was funny and didn’t let anyone catch a break from his teasing, which made Harvey nervous at times, but the farmer had no problem keeping up and teasing back. Evelyn was a sweet natured soul who actively worried about everything Harvey was doing and how he was doing it. Harvey had to explain a few times that he was very happy about where he was at in life, and that Pelican Town residents rarely got ill, and that seemed to ease her worries a bit.
“When are you guys going to get married then, huh? I don’t hear any wedding bells.” Bill joked towards Harvey. Harvey blushed a bright red, almost unable to speak. The way him and the farmer sat- it wasn’t convincing his parents at all. They sat a few inches apart from each other and barely acknowledged they even existed. Through Harveys nervous bout, the farmer scooted their chair closer and held his hand, “We’ve given it a lot of thought! But we both don’t feel like we’re ready.” The farmer remarked, swooping in to save Harvey a lot of potential trouble. Evelyn relaxed a bit, but said, “What’s the hold up? I mean, our little Harvey’s not going to get any younger!” Seeing the way Evelyn acted towards Harvey made the farmer laugh, but they stifled any chuckles to continue, “It’s mostly because I don’t have the farm set up enough to have him move in. It’s a lot of work to keep my farm stable and I want to make sure that he’ll be happy enough there to move in.” They explained, completely lying through their teeth. They tried to give a convincing smile, but with Harvey basically deflating on the spot- they had no idea what his parents were thinking of. “You two plan on having a family?” Bill tested as he watched the farmer and Harvey holding hands- albeit awkwardly. Man, what’s with these guys. Couldn’t we have just kept teasing more about Harvey as a kid? The farmer wished in their head. They opened their mouth to speak before Harvey interrupted, “Let’s just get through thinking about the wedding before starting a family!” He was still colored a deep red, unable to hide any of his blushing towards the awkward questions his family placed him in. Evelyn seemed a bit sad at all their answers but seemed satisfied enough to drop her prying.
After his parent’s interview, the evening went by really well! It wasn’t until it reached about 8pm that they decided to leave. With Harvey and the farmer now alone, they simultaneously sighed. “Mission successful?” The farmer asked, exhausted from putting on the show. Harvey feeling the same way, “I had a hard enough time trying to remember we were supposed to be a couple. You were basically one of them.” He laughed and rubbed his face with his hands. “You have no idea how hard I tried not to laugh when she brought up about how tiny you were as a baby.” He gave a loud moan as the farmer said this, “Please don’t make me remember.” Harvey pleaded, letting out a chuckle.
“Or how about the time you-“
“Don’t do this to me!”

hello! I really liked that one ask where the farmer was a dragon, can we have that one with all the sdv bachelors? even some npcs and/or the bachelorettes if you want? thanks!
Heya! You mean the reaction to Dragon!Farmer? Sure, why not! ☺️ (Hope you don't mind if I'll do sdv bachelors only).
Only that past ask specified a male Farmer, but since there's no clarification here, I made Farmer neutral (they/them). Thanks for the ask!

"Well, now I know exactly what I'm going to call the next chapter of my autobiography." Farmer had to give Elliott credit: their ginger haired husband held his own, not fainting or screaming in terror when they appeared before him in dragon form. Though they realized from the exhausted smile and pale face that it was better to stay close to catch the writer's body at any moment.
Shane kind of quit drinking.... And he never took any of other stuff thar can make so hallucinate. Then why the hell is there a giant reptile flying over his head right now calling him "darling?" That's what only the Farmer calls him.... And now this overgrown lizard landed in front of him and turned to his favorite spouse again, looking at him with a guilty smile. Just a regular Tuesday for Shane, for fuck's sake...
A tense moment for the Farmer themselves as they finally reveal true form to Sebastian, love of their life. They wait for his reaction, what he will respond, shock and horror on the emo's face. But in the end, Sebby's brain goes to autopilot and he spews out, "I've seen bigger." What... Now it was Farmer's turn to gasp in shock. "Have you seen other dragons?" Farmers don't know if they asked it out of surprise or even jealousy, while Sebastian was still stunned.
It seems that Sam's bewilderment and shock passed very quickly, because anyone else would have started showering him with questions: how long or why didn't you tell me before? But not the young guitarist, because the first thing that came to his mind was "Will you take me for a ride? This would be cool!" On the other hand, things got around without panic, so that's good.
Harvey, as a doctor with experience, was mentally prepared for anything. Apparently, not everything, because the poor man fainted at the sight of a huge dragon on the place where just a minute ago Farmer was standing. The local doctor wakes up with a headache, and the first thing he sees is Farmer's worried face, already in human form. Phew, so Harvey was imagining things and it was just a dream, right? Heh, poor Harvey...
"Now what am I going to tell my grandma?" Somewhat surprisingly, Alex uttered those words not because he was surprised by the Farmer's true form itself, but because they scared him so badly that the athlete dropped a dozen eggs. "Honey, we live on a farm, we have plenty of eggs. And anyway - there's a dragon in front of you." "Dragons later, chicken eggs for Grandma first." And he added that they were the weirdest and coolest person in the whole world, and that he loved them. But don't let the Farmer scare him like that again.

Might come off as a tad selfish here hehe but
SDV/SVE characters knowing the farmer is having period cramps, but they have absolutely no clue on how to help them. They remembered the farmer loves eating, so they searched on the internet and see the first thing that popped up: dark chocolate helps in relieving period cramps. So they got a bunch of chocolate from Pierre's and showed up at the door -
To find the farmer sobbing EVEN HARDER at the sight of the chocolates in their hands because they're allergic to chocolate and they're sad why did you bring me stuff I can't eat I'm already miserable and you bring me this??? 😭
I feel your pain, dear anon. I have a similar story, but with citrus :(
I only made a few characters, I hope you don't mind. If you want others feel free to ask again.
Also, I did not understand exactly what relationship the Farmer and characters are in, so I did it differently. Hope you like it and thanks for asking! 🫶
Sam:
Oh Yoba... Baby, Sam's so sorry!
He didn't want the Farmer to get even more upset. No, please don't cry or Sam will cry too.
They love eating, and Sam though it was the best solution... Omg, baby please 🥺
Fuck that damn chocolate! The poor fellow immediately searches the Internet for what else can be from food to relieve cramps BESIDES chocolate.
Oh, bananas and blueberries. Bingo!
Sam rips the chocolate out of his beautiful s/o's hands at the speed of light, throws it in the trash, and runs back to the store for fruits and berries.
Luckily, Farmer wasn't allergic to it, and Sam made her a tasty and healthy smoothie. This helped the Farmer, they no longer cries, and Sam with a blanket and hugs goes to the Farmer on the sofa.
The young musician ran so fast that he managed to get a little hungry, but he won’t go into the trash for that chocolate. Besides, the hugs from his s/o are so cozy that he doesn’t want to get up soon.
Abigail:
Oh man, she understands the Farmer very well. Sometimes her own menstrual pains are so unbearable that she already breaks down on everyone.
But she has a solution to her problems that she wants to offer the Farmer - dark chocolate, which her dad always gives her when she gets her period. She will also give them some, plus it is delicious!
Oh, is Farmer allergic to chocolate? Oops... Sheesh.
Ok, no need to be upset, Abby will come up with something else. Damn, where is her smartphone?!
While Abby was trying to find information in a panic, Caroline, upon learning about the Farmer's problem, also reminded her that in addition to the chocolate her father gives her, she always brews fresh green tea, the leaves that are grown in their sunroom.
"Mom, you are a genius!"
Abby, Caroline and the Farmer have a threesome tea party in the kitchen. The homemade green tea was amazing and really helped Farmer with spasms. Abigail is very pleased because her friend is no longer sad. And Caroline noted that the three of them had a pleasant time drinking tea and chatting.
Lance:
That was very tactless of him, wasn't it?
Lance was embarrassed. The Farmer is his partner, the love of his life, and he forgot about his loved one's allergies.
The sight of an even more upset Farmer hurt Lance more than any monster he had to fight.
But the adventurer did not lose his composure, and was determined to correct his mistake.
With a wave of his hand, he made all the elite dark chocolate disappear into the air, and told the surprised Farmer that he would be back in a minute, and also disappeared after casting the spell.
As promised, Lance returned in a minute, with ginger root, tea leaves, and vegetables to prepare for the Farmer.
After an incredibly quick dinner (not without the help of magic), Lance offered food to his partner, kissed the Farmer gently and asked if they needed anything else.
He understands that menstrual cramps can be very painful, so he is not offended when the Farmer begins to act up and cry.
But after a healthy meal full of magnesium and vitamins, as well as care from their spouse, the Farmer and the evening felt much better.
The real mystery was where all the chocolate went. But it will forever remain an unsolved.
Maru:
Searching, searching, sear- Oh, there it is! "Dark chocolate contains antioxidants and magnesium, a mineral that has been shown to help relieve the following symptoms of PMS: bloating, fatigue, depression, and irritability."
Maru searched the Internet for about half an hour to find out what kind of dark chocolate with cocoa content is the most useful and will help the Farmer with spasms.
She found it. Perfect! Now she just need buy this particular chocolate in Pierre's store and return to her s/o.
Maru was a little confused as to why the Farmer got even more upset at the sight of the chocolate.
And she felt like a complete fool when the Farmer told her the reason. What's the point of her being an engineering genius if she couldn't account for her partner being allergic to chocolate?!
At least a fruit salad with apricots and plums will not let her down. These fruits will also help, as will chocolate. Maru this time asked the Farmer if they were allergic to them too.
The fruit salad turned out to be a good decision, but Maru is still upset that she miscalculated and made such a mistake that makes her loved one sad.
But the Farmer gave her a kiss and gratitude for the care and love she gave them, so that Maru's expression relaxed, and a soft smile broke out on her face.
Olivia:
Poor Farmer! Olivia experienced similar spasms in her youth, and the constant stress of her job at Joja only made it worse.
Yoga was a great way to reduce the manifestations of period cramps, but Olivia did not stop only at the exercises, but also changed her diet: vegetables, fruits, salmon fish, there were many options.
Dark chocolate was one of the foods that worked best for her, so she bought some expensive chocolate bars for the Farmer.
"Here, sweetie! This will help you, plus it's a luxurious dark chocolate, you won't find in regular stores and it's very delicious!"
"What, allergies? Oh, goodness..."
Olivia didn't lose her composure even when she saw the Farmer cry at the sight of the chocolate. There is no problem that cannot be solved.
Fortunately, there were plenty of other foodstuffs in her house.
Salad with salmon, avocado and walnut - healthy and tasty - came to the aid of the Farmer!
Olivia really knows how to cook well.
The Farmer apologized for crying over the chocolate, but Olivia insists they don't need to apologize. After all, the Farmer is her close friend, and she perfectly understands their situation.
