"Yeah, well, I— uh. She...may be a little bit pissed at me." Psychic folds his arms, dodging his friend's gaze.

"Oh? Her? Mad at you?" Void's tone, shocked as it is, still drips with fake sympathy. He's doing that stupid thing now, where he acts like Psychic and Girlfriend are supposed to be the tightest duo in history. "What'd you even do, man?"

"I accidentally insulted Boyfriend." Psychic briefly squeezes his eyes shut at the sheer irony.

"What?" Void shoots upright. "What do you mean accidentally?" He gapes at Psychic, the saccharine performance gone entirely.

"The new issue arrived!" Girlfriend, face alight, waved around one of her nerd magazines as she entered the house carrying a bundle of envelopes and newsletters.

"Oh, sick!" Boyfriend rose. "I haven't read one of these in forever."

That got Psychic to look up from his book, blinking in complete awe. "You can read?"

Girlfriend threw the stack of mail at him. Hard. And stormed out of the room, dragging Boyfriend behind her.

Price also ends up doing that too once he realizes why the entire team becomes obsessed with writing letters

Simon starts writing to you through a military penpal program Price had all of them in. Ofc, like the rat bastard he is, he drags his fuckin feet on it. Eventually, you manage to get him a little more willing to write back and it seems like he even looks forward to it. He's the first one to grab his letter from the container when they come. He claims it's to get it over with, but the other guys know better.

You'd think the other guys would be the ones more open to their penpals but NO. They managed to be paired with some of, who they call, the most boring people they could have met. Hell, even Price began to drag his feet after the 2nd letter back.

Simon seems to be the only one actually enjoying his exchanges, even if he tries to hide it. Johnny's the first one to get curious, wanting to know what the LT's got that's good enough to loosen the stick in his ass.

While Simon's out of the room, Johnny reads through the first couple letters Simon received. Your sweet words, stupid jokes, and genuine care are a stark contrast from the uninterested and short words he received from his penpal.

He stops writing to his penpal, not that they noticed/ cared, and grew the balls to write you one. He claimed his penpal dropped out, so they had to make do, not that you minded. And God, when you started to write back, he swore it was like he was a schoolboy all over again. Getting excited for the letters, heart racing as he reads your carefully written words, counting down the days till he gets another.

He gets ballsy one night and opens up to Gaz about what he did, not showing a single crumb of remorse. Tells him all about how sweet you are, how you show genuine care for his safety, even giving the idea of sending a care package. He could see that same thought process going through Kyle's mind, contemplating switching to you. He gave Kyle your address and told him to just come up with an excuse.

Now Kyle's a little smarter than Johnny, knowing that if Ghost finds out he's probably fucked. However, at the end of the day, he's a lonely man. He had this sweet thing like you just within reach and he's supposed to not take it? Yeah right.

He gave the same excuse Johnny did, claiming his penpal's schedule became too busy to write back, and just like that you had 3 soldiers wrapped around your finger. He sweet talked you, gave little puns here and there, really became like a lap cat. He wasn't as forward as Johnny and not as refrained as Simon. He gave you music recommendations when you say you like a certain genre, he gave you book recommendations, even sent you photos of him in front of a helicopter (you begged for it when he told you about him falling out).

Now, Simon isn't stupid. He isn't clueless. He noticed that the first couple letters went missing. Then he noticed Johnny being more eager to write. Same with Kyle. He noticed how they seemed to pull away from him when the topic was brought up. He's not a stupid man.

He might even be considered generous (don't say it to his face though, he'll take it as sarcasm). He knows the boys are talking to his penpal, but he'll be kind enough to share. His sweet lil thing. If you can keep up, that is. Your letters seem to boost morale and bring a small light that wasn't there before. They're all hard-working men, risking their lives to keep the world clean. They deserve this, don't they?

Even Price finds himself wanting in on it. If you can manage to bring Simon happiness (again, he won't admit it) and keep the other boys happy, surely you can take on one more. He sends you a letter, as their captain, and thanks you for what you've done. You're such a kind soul for giving these men some hope in their lives (laying it on thick, gotta keep em interested) and how much you've helped their performances.

They all write to you, their unofficial 141 penpal, and it works surprisingly well. The lines begin to blur a bit on being platonic and something else, but it'll be sorted out eventually. For now you're just theirs (Simon came around to it once he realized you had plenty of love to go around). You're the 141's, even if you don't fully understand what that means.

She's a woman who loves her chocolate, and biscuits- and though these probably aren't the kind you'd eat in tea... the fact it's both has her interest grabbed

She thinks it's sweet and cute, endearing really. Even if it's not something she'd typically think she'd do, teagan would play the game for you... she does put in an effort but it's obvious she's letting you have most of the stick

And you will get an extra kiss on the cheek, and another if you let her have a few more sticks!

TISHA

She doesn't much... care for chocolate... it's tendency to melt sometimes steers here away from it... and sometimes a mirror isn't always on hand to make sure she got everything- and you telling her isn't enough, she needs confirmation from herself.. that's a quirk of hers you gotta get used to

Perhaps there's another candy you can use...? She can't think of anything off the top of her head- truth be told she doesn't eat sweets all that often but maybe yatta has something-

She might do it, doing her best to hide her begrudgingness.. she doesn't want you to feel rejected

Honestly the fact the box didn't vanish from your hand the second you pulled it out is a shocker... she is basically vibrating on the spot- her joy of sharing candy overrides her sweet tooth just enough to give you time to explain the game

Every. Single. Stick... gets broken.. her sharp teeth and energy dint allow it to last long

She might speed run it and kiss you while the stick is still whole. Not at all comfortable for either of you

You know what? I mustered up the courage to come off of anon just for this. (Not gonna tag myself, but knowing my writing style, it’s probably gonna be obvious who I am lol.)

So uh. I’m fine now, but for some context: I was kinda upset earlier. And like a perfectly normal person, I wrote some self-indulgent rarepair stuff to make myself feel better. And now I’m sharing it with you all! Hope you don’t mind :]

Elliot / John Doe

Elliot once ‘tamed’ a feral John by feeding him pizza. It was a complete accident, too. He was trying to give it to Shedletsky, but John got in the way. 

It didn’t stop him from attacking the others, unfortunately. But he did leave Elliot alone for the rest of the round.

Being able to neutralize a threat like that is a big deal, so you bet that Elliot tried that shi again. Through trial and error, he discovered that John’s favourite is a plain old cheese pizza.

John’s memories while feral are fuzzy at best, and complete blanks at worst. Thus, he enjoyed getting properly aquatinted with Elliot after he managed to snap out of it about halfway through a round.

Using that one ‘the killers share a cabin across the water from the survivors cabin’ hc, John and Elliot will sometimes “meet up” between rounds by standing on their respective docks and shouting across the water at one another. They’d chat for as long as they could about the most random of things, just enjoying each other’s company.

Elliot once found a way to get a box of cheese pizza over to the killers side, and the gesture almost brought John to tears.

Noob / 1x1x1x1

Since there’s only four killers (as of writing this), I imagine that there’s barely any breaks between being chosen for rounds. And if the Spectre’s feeling particularly mean, one killer might get chosen over and over and over- (totally didn’t experience a server once with like 4 or 5 Mafiosos that we got back to back.)

See where I’m heading with this? The Spectre ends up favouring 1x1x1x1 for a while, which leads to him being worked to the bone. I’d say ‘poor guy’, but this is probably karma at this point…

No one really thinks much about it until 1x just straight-up collapses of exhaustion during a round. That was the moment that everyone realized that the killers weren’t these unstoppable machines of death; that they were bound by the same rules mortals were.

Maybe it’s naivety. Maybe it’s curiosity. Maybe it’s something else entirely. But regardless, Noob’s the only one brave (or stupid) enough to approach a killer like this. The embodiment of hatred was clearly unhappy, but it’s not like he could hurt anyone in this state.

While the others did their thing, Noob kept watch over 1x. Mostly to make sure he didn’t start killing again, but also because a small part of him felt bad for the guy.

Even after the round ended and 1x got the rest he needed, Noob didn’t seem to fear him as much after that. It initially annoyed 1x1x1x1, but he eventually started to see the noob in a slightly different light when they offered themselves up after realizing that he hadn’t gotten a single kill in like, four rounds (not back to back this time, luckily. But still.)

1x eventually confronted Noob on their behaviour, and you know what he said? Noob admitted that he thought 1x could be a better (and less murder-y) person if he just had a friend. 

And the crazy thing is, they were kind-of right.

There. I said my piece. I was oddly scared about sharing these for whatever reason, but yeah. I like imagining these goobers doing silly things together, and I’m tired of pretending that I don’t/lh

Fiddled with gradient maps this time for some additional colors :D I would have colored in the eyes as well, but I didn't have enough energy left when the event hit the 47th hour xD

Also played around with camera movements. Respect to people who do fan edits and other forms of video/ assets editing 'cause keyframes are so 😭

I think most of the drawn parts didn't deviate from the initial idea. Mostly timing adjustments and building upon the vibes. The parts that were changed the most was the "And you caused it (×3 combo)".

Went from "vague flashbacks" to "following Etho and co. out of the cave and back to Scott's base while implying who Etho blames with single character focus shots".

The first one is Scott because he suggested the idea. Like, obviously he's to blame. It's not like Etho went along and cemented the deal himself. Scott totally peer-pressured him into it.

The second one is Etho because... well the scene ends up kind of being like. The sight of the Snow Fortress triggering a flashback. (EthosLab the content creator deliberately turned his camera towards the Snow Fortress and holds it there for a second instead of looking at the huge lava pillar right in front of him. What is WRONG with him.)

But also like. Clocks are kind of special to Bdubs right. Whoever gave him a clock basically has his (temporary) loyalty or at the least earned a favor from him. So like. If he hadn't gifted Bdubs the clock, which signifies a closer(?) bond, maybe Bdubs wouldn't be so devoted to him (wrong). Also serves as a call-back/ reference to the "Prayer-Determination" shot ("pray with clock" in the scene planning screenshot). I like to think that Bdubs weighted his options and thought about "if he will kill/ who to kill" a lot while following the other Red Names. And in that scene he's like, convincing/ motivating himself. Remembering who/ what he's doing this for.

(It is also meant to be part of my giftee's other prompt: "an exploration of the doubt one or both of them felt during the heart transfer that didn’t happen after Bdubs killed Lizzie, and the following guilt Etho felt." The Etho section starting from "we're setting fire to our inside for fun" til the end of the animatic is based on that prompt.)

After a brief period of self-blame, it's time to shift it onto someone else! Because you're in denial! If Bdubs hadn't gone red, then Etho wouldn't have to offer the deal. If Bdubs hadn't want to stay as teammates, then he wouldn't agree to the deal. If Bdubs wasn't so devoted to Etho, then he wouldn't have attacked Lizzie and gotten himself killed.

Then the animatic ends with the end of the session :D

Stupid hc of how you think rdr1 characters would do as babysitters

Ive been stuck on babysitting duty so they gotta be too /lh /hj

HOW EACH RDR1 CHARACTER WOULD BE AS BABYSITTERS (MY OPINION)

😭❤sorry to hear ab ur babysitting babes but dw I got u you're my first rdr1 hc too !! Imagine here you're babysitting someone close to them's 4 year old child

John - be SO awkward around the kid, like offer it a cigerette for a minute then take it back, and when the kid asks to play he just reluctantly is like "sure.." and goes along with whatever they do. Counting down the SECONDS

Marshall - can be a little strict, fairly however, and will just entertain the kid by telling crazy stories of gangs he attacked (hes had to take care of lots of children when people reported missing children and really young criminals)

Irish - yeah he should NOT be doing this. Like Marshall, except his stories he tells are often much too 18+ for any parent's likings. Openly gets drunk around the kid and forgets it's there, maybe even leaves to go out

Nigel - spends the entire time talking to them about his store so they tell their parents, but otherwise is quite nervous around kids and just gives them lots of old toffee he found in the suit he bought

Bonnie - gets them to help around the house, If hers they will tend to the ranch and if someone elses they help make the house good for the parents return. Talks to the kid as though they're an equal, except she's aware how to treat someone of that age and what topics to use, so most kids grow to love her

Seth - yeah if ur giving ur kids to SETH.. but anyway he absolutely detests the kids if they are judgemental of his choice of company or too loud, but if the kid is fascinated by his company he will treat them its it's their best friend until he forgets it's not a hangout and a babysitting job, and invites them round again, much to any parents despair

De Santa - believes hes too good to be babysitting children, however he spends the time asking the child about their Mother, and tells them if it's a girl he bets she will be so gorgeous when she's 18 (15). Ignores the kid generally after that and dumps them to his next in command

Abraham - tells them stories of his greatness, and spends hours convincing the 4 year old to join the revolution. A lot of the stories are maybe a bit..twisted, but the kid is throughly entertained. Purposely gives the kid rations of straight protein, saying over again "the important food must go to the rebels...(yap ab their achievements)..but you must be strong to join us!! Eat this, it is good"

Luisa - whilst shes good around children, they don't like her too much as she can be a little strict, and spends a lot of time teaching them the horrors of the revolution and why they must take part, in a way that is perhaps a little too innapropiate to tell a young child. But shes good at playing games.

Landon Ricketts - the kids find him a little confusing as he speaks a lot of metaphors they dont get, but he always dumps it down for them. He mostly lets the kids just do what they want, saying some phrase he made up like "let them get it out before society does". As long as they arent hurting anyone, then they get a years worth of teachings and stories about moral compassing

Rdr1 Dutch - honestly hes a little bit freaky by 1911, so his actions are a little unknown, but he would probably bring the kid into battle with him, saying they need to learn to survive and fight for the correct ideals. He has brief memories of taking care of the children of the old camp, so takes care in this one to totally groom them into his ideals

Rdr1 Javier - hes probably got some long form of depression or smth, so whilst he does take care of the kid to make sure they are fed and okay, he mostly ignores them to smoke or do work. If the kid speaks to him, he responds half-assedly or says some mindless words like "uh huh??? Wow... Cool!!!" (They asked what time is was). Maybe played a quick game.

Ross - takes the kid fishing, or to some activity of the sort, entertaining any childish conversation they have. Honestly probably one of the better people to have, except the kid might return with some racist views 😬

Nastas - generally ok around kids, if a little awkward. He still makes an effort to go do some activity, like swimming in the lake, or crafts together. Probably he teaches them a little, both physically and morally

McDougal - agreed to babysit to study the child, the affects of cocaine on children, or if the child is of any minority then if the stereotypes he fully believes for each are hereditary or taught. (Racist). Nobody wants him near his child after.

1911 Jack - like john in the sense he is awkward around the kid, but will read stories books to them, and tries to be good around them in ways he can, yet is still quite cold and cut off around them. Imagine Benjamin to Boxer in animal farm

Abigail - treats any kid similar how she would to Jack, in terms of trying to get them to read, and staying nearby to watch over. Definitely the best option. If old enough in 1911 would get them to play with Jack, or teach Jack parenting skills. If they're a young girl she is close to tears thinking of her daughter though

Uncle - sleeps. Or goes to the saloon. Either way that kid is left alone to do fuk all

Herbert Moon - totally spends his time spewing hateful views at the kid, how the British Catholic Homosexuals are coming, and how they arent safe. Gets them to help his shop meanwhile though.

@ak1ra-lovely requested headcanons for Joe Warren, and I have come to deliver! I quite like Warren, he's somewhere in my top 3 favorite Ad Astrans (the ranking order changes a lot hahaha).

But first and most importantly, I must give @astra-galaxie a HUGE, HUGE thank you for helping me with some of these headcanons! Astra you're amazing ilysm. I will credit her with the headcanons she helped flesh out!

Anyways, on to the headcanons!

With the exception of Rozetta, he's the most academically intelligent member of Ad Astra. He consistently got a 4.0 GPA in school, was frequently popular with teachers, professors, and his fellow students, was in a fraternity in college, and was often in student councils. Never got in trouble, never got a single detention.

Well, there was one moment in school where he wasn't terribly popular: in early elementary school, he was the kid who reminded the teacher of homework. But once he quickly realized his classmates didn't appreciate that, he stopped said behavior.

I personally headcanon him as Peruvian and Vietnamese, as well as bisexual.

Astra helped with this one: Joe likes to both look out of windows (especially on planes) and take walks throughout the day to think and let his mind wander.

Related to the above, he likes to journal. His journaling isn't necessarily coherent or organized like Rozetta's autobiography, just his honest thoughts and experiences that he keeps very private.

He wore glasses as a kid, hated those, got contacts, still hated those, and ended up getting laser eye surgery (bro has never seen Final Destination 5 lol).

He was actually genuinely a bit disturbed by Bateman's murder of Meera and privately thought any woman who caught Christian's eye should probably run as fast as possible in the opposite direction.

Note: Not a hc, but I find the fact that Joe says "darn it" and "oh, heck" in Reap What You Sow really funny. He may be willing to blow up someone with a car bomb, but he is NOT saying any bad words.

He quite likes Julia's parents (see her headcanons for more details on them), and wishes them no ill will. When he would see how affectionate she was to them, he wondered a few times if he should reach out to his family (as they had drifted apart over the years), but never got around to it.

If Ad Astra successfully took over the world, all of them would probably eventually get bored, especially if chunks of the population were brainwashed/drugged. They've taken the super serum (in this AU where it wasn't killing them), they won, now what? While Bateman would needlessly terrorize the population for entertainment, Joe's guilty conscience would likely start to slowly creep up on him, especially as he would've almost certainly killed multiple people by that point.

Another one made with great help by Astra: He was on his high school's debate team, and then later the debate team for his university. (In fact, he and Louis were both on their uni's debate team. I see you Louis/Joe shippers out there/lh).

Astra straight up came up with this one completely: Joe volunteered/did charity work a lot before he became mayor. Not out of the goodness of his heart, but rather because he knew doing that would make himself look good, enhance his resume, make people like him, build up his network, and help him in his political career.

Rozetta's accidental earthquake caused him quite the headache because of how much of an economic and humanitarian crisis it caused. Very expensive. He didn't yell at her for causing it like Christian probably did, but he was privately very frustrated and irritated with her.

The Demon Fish gave him like. So much stress. Everyone in Ad Astra (well, everyone not in prison) was like "Did you do this?" "No, why would I? Did you?" It was a mess. This is the one calamity they didn't cause. Joe was banging his head on his desk, hoping that SOMEONE could catch these stupid fish and get rid of them. He was thrilled to see those little mfs get transported to San Diego.

Despite his annoyance with the fish and allergy to shellfish, he actually enjoys walking on beaches, listening to ocean noises, and learning about marine biology-related subjects. His formal schooling may be over, but he still likes to learn.

....Would you believe me if I told you I initially was struggling with these? Especially because I ended up writing way more than expected lololol

You guys are really making it incredibly hard for me to shut up about dinosaurs I was trying to keep the obsession to myself/lh

• the Jurassic period was around 190 millions of years ago, the golden time for dinosaurs, the period right before Cretaceous period(when dinosaurs said bye-bye). Climatic and geologic changes allowed a lot of flora and fauna to develop in the ambient, the flowers started to bloom more often and thanks to this you could find more species like Diplodocus and Brachiosaurus(🦕)

• As soon as they get there, they find themselves confused, thinking they just got somehow teleported into a random forest, yet the ground starts shaking, and all three of them get ready to fight whatever that big monster is... And they find themselves with a diplodocus coming over to eat some leaves at the top of a tree. As soon as they realize they're being surrounded by gigantic lizards who can easily kill them by accidentally stepping on them, the three decide it's a good idea to search for a place where they can hide.

• a few hours pass by and they're exhausted, the ambient being humid and hot it's only making the suffering even worse, specially considering that the only fruits they could possibly eat are either probably poisonous for them or at the top of the trees. Yet in the middle of the night as they're walking, a bit Allosaurus stands right in front of them.

"So," Kravitz says, the door closing behind him dramatically. He doesn't put his bag down like he usually does. Instead he looks stiff and frustrated and confused. And cute. Still painfully fucking cute, as always. "I was surprised to see you at the casting call today."

"Why? You've been talking about it since I moved in last month." Taako kicks his feet off the edge of the couch and keeps pretending to read the magazine he stole from the dentist yesterday, as revenge for having to be there. It's months old, but some of the recipes are still interesting.

Kravitz makes a face like he is trying, with all his might, not to telegraph how confused and frustrated he is. Too bad. Consider that code morsed, buckaroo. Tappity tap tap, you've betrayed how you feel. Better luck when the telephone gets invented. 

"It's just," he says. "I did not think you were interested in musicals. Or this musical, specifically. Or being in the musical that I am running, and taking very seriously, by the way."

"Did I do a bad job in my audition?" Taako audibly turns a sleek page, and pretends to be interested in Cheez-it encrusted lamb nuggets. "You don't have to give me a call back if I'm not right for the part."

"No," Kravitz sighs, shaking his head. He clutches his bag close, like it will be a weapon against the great unknown of Taako's mysterious motives. "You were–amazing. I was afraid we weren't going to have a villain this round. You- Taako- " Kravitz walks over and grips the back of the couch. Taako looks So Very Incredibly Casually up at him, smirking. "Cool," Taako says, like it doesn't matter at all. Like, oh, chips were on sale? That's nice, maybe we'll make some dip. Maybe not. "I thought there was uh, a process for letting people know they're in." 

"There is!" Kravitz stresses. "But we live together. Taako, we live together, I've known you for almost two months now, I've been talking about this musical all summer, and I've never heard you sing! What- I didn't know you even knew where the playhouse was!" 

"Google maps," Taako provides helpfully. He closes his magazine thoughtfully. Maybe tomorrow he will get some Cheez-its. Lamb nuggets can't be that bad, can they? 

"That's not my question!" Kravitz looks, get this, confused and frustrated. It's hard not to laugh right at him.

"Why did you try out for my musical??" 

"Bored. Sounded fun," Taako says with a shrug.

"Taako!" That grip on the couch is so tight. Fuck, he's gorgeous. Maybe a little dim, though. 

"Kravitz!" Taako grins. "Did you not want me there? Is there a problem? I thought this roommate thing was going okay." 

"It-" Kravitz throws his hands in the air and huffs. "You're allowed to be there!" 

"Oh good," Taako says, playing as stupid as he can manage with a straight face. "Not gonna get arrested today. Probably." 

"Taako-" 

"I mean you never know," Taako adds conversationally. "Always good to be prepared." 

"Are you going to take this seriously??" 

"Course," Taako says, and shrugs. 

"You're not just doing it to fuck with me??" Kravitz. Darling. Really? Your first guess is that he's being mean, and not trying to follow you to a second location because he doesn't want to miss out on his Kravitz time? Sabotage, and not ooey-gooey crush the likes of which an adult ought not have to suffer?? Has Taako been Too Subtle? 

"Why would I do that?" Taako tosses the magazine onto the side table. The two of them watch the whole pile of shit slide slowly onto the floor. Sheet music and snacks and playbooks and photos and maybe the lost remote go all over in slow motion. Taako looks back at Kravitz. Kravitz looks pinched. Calzone of a dude here. Dumpling, even. What's in your pocket, guy? What savory morsels are you withholding? 

"I don't know," he says, after a long, painful moment. "But I'm going to find out." And he turns and marches toward his room. 

Wuh oh. Maybe they got two very different messages on what this story is about. Should he say something? 

Then again…Taako doesn't mind an enemies to lovers plot. Not one bit.

It'd be the first crossover fic I'd be posting publically but by posting things publically it gives me an obligation to finish it which I find extremely joyful so I reeeally really reaaally wanna write this (⁠≧⁠▽⁠≦⁠) it'd also be my first oneshot so. :P i mean come on I have the power as an author to make Kaede fist fight a wall dweller and I will be DAMNED if I don't take that chance /j

Also... Yeah. I've picked up on that (⁠个⁠_⁠个⁠) I'm not quite sure how it happened, but I'm glad it did. I've got to meet a lot of really cool people, and I've made a really really good friend from it too (⁠ ⁠╹⁠▽⁠╹⁠ ⁠) I've never been active in a fandom like this before, so this is really good experience for me in gaining more confidence in myself and getting used to talking to people. AND It's been letting me improve on my self-discipline and responsibility, which is something I'd struggle with a lot ^^"

Seeing everyone create things based on what I have done-- sharing memes and art, assigning music to my stories-- has been an experience like no other. As a bonus, it's all with my favorite characters from a game that I absolutely adore (even with it's fuckin christmas list of issues lmao)!! I'm so grateful for everyone who has given me support or put their own time into things I've made. It has genuinely made such a huge difference in my life and I cannot describe how thankful I am for that (⁠ ⁠◜⁠‿⁠◝⁠ ⁠)⁠♡

I have no plans to stop writing. I have a lot of plans for future fics (that I have to grit my teeth and write one at a time or else none of them will ever be finished ಥ⁠╭⁠╮⁠ಥ) and I'm excited to share them, even if they are extremely different from what I've previously written. So far I've been sticking to the Ultimate Academy, but I want to try to spread out a bit ^^ We'll see what happens I suppose

How would you view 2 x 86?

I was thinking about that one recently. I feel like if I'm gonna be forced to ship something with Fanny and a dude, it'd be those two (NOT BECAUSE I LIKE HOAGIE I PROMISE) despite minimal interactions because Hoagie seems to be the most... Tolerable boy? Like, he's boyish, but he's also oddly dainty and feminine. Hands on hips type shit. He seems chill enough that Fanny would realize it and be like, "woah, dude, you're actually kinda cool. You understand me, that's rad. I'll think about saving you in the mass boy sacrifices..." He also strikes me as the most likely to canonly be feminist if we ignore the weirdo stuff he says smashed in to objectify women because no kid would realistically say that 🤒 since he seems pretty open minded compared to the other two. Was thinking of making a crackship offshoot of the two in my transfem Hoagie AU because I can't ACTUALLY bring myself to ship the two as in canon... I like my queer ships. I like my queer little fellas. I must queerify them with my queerification beam

Out of every 86 x a (canon) boy ship I think 2 x 86 is definitely one of the few I can tolerate if it’s done well.

In canon I do think Fanny prefers Hoagie out of the three Sector V boys. Not that she necessarily likes him but like you said he’s more ‘tolerable’. Hoagie isn’t as headstrong and set in his ways as Nigel is so he doesn’t clash with Fanny as often and he isn’t as stereotypically boyish and ‘stupid’ as Wally is, so I do think she’d the most chill with him. Only time she was directly aggressive to Hoagie was in the beginning of Op Pinkeye but like he called her ‘toots’ it was kind of deserved /lh

Though I can’t really say I’d ship it at all because Fanny does get pretty aggressive when aggravated and can be downright violent at times which, y’know, probably wouldn’t be a good mix with Hoagie specifically =\
