Tumblr media
"Darling, over here!" The woman chimes again.
You look over at the golden-haired goddess-like figure. Older but not weathered for it. A woman of luxury and privilege. Just another echelon of Laufeyson’s lifestyle you'll never attain.
"Mother," he tilts his head slightly, his cheek ticking. "I wasn't expecting you hear on a Tuesday."
"Oh, I came to town to meet your Aunt Fulla. She was seeing a specialist and I thought it was a perfect convenience," the blond woman struts past her table.
Another, with a highlighted bob and not much years’ difference turns to smile over her shoulder. Her lips have that puffiness you see on that video app. You stand aside, hoping that you might just fade away.
The first blonde, who he proclaimed as his mother, nears and frames his face before kissing his cheek. You see the twitch of agitation in his fingers. You will deal with that later, you're sure.
"But forgive me, am I interrupting?" She lets him go and looks at you. "Oh my, aren't you a pretty thing?"
She surprises you with a kiss as well. You feel the smudge of her lipstick on her cheek. You muster a smile. The expression still feels strange to you.
"Loki," the other woman greets kindly as she stands.
"Aunt Fulla," he utters.
"Please, won't you join us? It's such a splendid coincidence to see you," she claps her hands then quickly flags down a man in black slacks and a pressed white shirt, "excuse me, dear, would it be too much for us to put our tables together?"
The server smiles, better than you can, "of course, Mrs. Odinson."
Oh, she's known here. Wonderful. All these people belong and you are the ugly duckling of the bunch.
Loki gestures to you. He assists the server in sliding over another table.
"Darling," the woman with the bob offers her hand as you sit next to her, "Fulla, but Loki always called me FooFoo."
"As a child," He sits across from you.
"Frigga," his mother offers her hand in turn. You shake hers as daintily as the first. Consciously so as your innate roughness comes without a second thought. "And what are you doing here in the middle of the day with my son?"
She preens at him and tucks his hair behind his ear. He leans away. He suppresses a frown and his lips thin.
"Business," he answers. "She is an assistant at my firm."
"Oh, you finally found some help! This is wonderful. Does that mean you'll be available for your father's birthday?"
Laufeyson peers around and signals to the same server, "scotch please. No ice."
"Yes, sir," the server responds, "and ladies, a refill?"
"Yes, please," Frigga smiles and Fulla nods. He looks to you next.
"Just water please," you request. Your parole doesn't permit alcohol and you'd rather not.
You look around evasively. This is awkward. Worse, you're not entirely certain this won't result in losing everything. Laufeyson has hardly proven himself fair. It would be beyond him to punish you for bad timing.
"Mother, I'll check my calendar." He resigns.
"Or your lovely assistant will," Frigga suggests and gives you dreamy look. "My she is... well, I'm sorry, dear, I wouldn't want to toe the line, but you are a rather beautiful woman."
You almost flinch. It's quite the compliment. One you've never got. Your mother called you hideous; the women inside pushed you around, spit on you, and her son...
"Thank you, ma'am," you say.
"Ma'am, oh no, Fulla, did you hear that?"
The other woman laughs.
"Oh, a proper one we have," Fulla guffaws. "You're tryna push us straight to the grave, are ya? No, no, young at heart. Frig and FooFoo, ready to conquer the world."
Laufeyson groans, "please, mother, are you sure you should have another drink?"
"Yes, the driver will fetch us," she trills and the server returns on cue. "Thank you, Braxton. Oh, such a dear."
The server, Braxton, doles out the drinks. You sit patiently as he strides away, promising to return shortly.
Frigga pets her son's arm, "we've ordered. What will you have? Oh, avoid those peppercorns. Do you recall the last we came here?"
"Mother, I'm certain I can choose my own meal," he shrugs her off as he reaches for the menu. He looks at you and you mirror him.
"Oh, tell me you are not such a tyrant with this one," she chides. "Darling, he's all smoke. Trust me."
"Mother," he doesn't look up as he browses.
You go through the options, by the numbers. A salad is fine and affordable. Ish.
"Perhaps you will figure out how to pull the thorn from his side," Fulla remarks with a snort. "Loki Beans, what happened to that little cherub who use to giggle with me?"
"He grew up," Laufeyson sniffs and closes the menu. "Truly, we've come as professionals. You may keep all that to yourself."
"Oh, are professionals not allowed to be humans?" Fulla chirps.
You side eye her. You like her. She says everything you can't.
"No, they are not," Laufeyson retorts and reaches for his scotch. "Where's the waiter?"
You languish in the tension. It isn’t the women that make you uneasy, but the man across from you. His green eyes find you again. He’s calculating how he will take his discomfort out on you.
“Oh, do not let him fool you. He’s still my baby nephew,” Fulla pauses to sip from her bright drink; layers of pink, orange and yellow. “Ah, he used to put on these little magic shows for us. Do you remember when the rabbit bit you and you cried terribly, Loki Beans?”
“Aunt,” he sends her a terse look.
“And there was the snake. That was particularly worrying,” Frigga adds as she swirls her tall glass. “It constricted him purple--”
“Mother, please. She needn’t hear the tales of my childhood. I’ve forgotten them myself,” he sniffs.
“How could you forget?” She squeezes his arm. “Perhaps you should try. You might not be so wound up.”
You sip your water silently. Your mother isn’t as sweet. You’d never use that word to describe her. And when it comes to childhood memories, you don’t think she could pick out if it was you or one of your siblings who got stuck in the mud pit for an hour. She didn’t care then, and wouldn’t now.
“I have much work to do--”
“Which is why you came here?” Frigga challenges.
Her son sighs and goes rigid in his chair. He tilts his head until his neck pops. His jaw grits.
“It is good chance we found you. Your father called but got no answer. Perhaps I should have him call the office,” she looks at you. “She must be very good worker if you brought her to our special place.”
Your cheeks tinge with heat. You had no idea it was somewhere special. You only went by how often he came. He didn’t let on either.
“It is a public restaurant,” he shakes his head.
The server returns and nips away some of the discomfort. The brief distraction is enough to catch your breath. You order your Greek salad and Loki opts for some Ahi Tuna. It’s all so much better than prison food; even the lettuce.
“Still, I’m very happy for you, dear,” Frigga leans into her son. “And it is a great opportunity for one as young as her. She will learn a lot. That is, if you let her help. You’ve always been so defiant--”
“Why don’t you write up a list of all the things I am and forward it to me?” Loki sneers. “I shall review and make certain to repress it all.”
“Son,” she pinches his ear and he hisses. “Do not be smart with me.”
“Always a sharp tongue on the little serpent,” Fulla tuts.
“You are one to speak,” he bites back at his aunt.
“Oh, but I am funny,” Fulla laughs haughtily. “You are just drab, my boy.”
His hand forms a fist on the table. His already pale skin whitens around his knuckles. You don’t move. Like prey trying to hide from a hawk, you can only hope they fly over you.
“Darling, tell me,” Fulla startles you out of self-preservation as she touches your skirt. For a moment, you’re reminded of the man across from you, though she only admires the fabric. “Where did you get this? I like the colour.”
“Um,” you look down, “I... would need to think... um. Oh, a boutique down at Harrow’s Row?”
“Harrow’s... oh, I’ve not been that way in some time,” she reaches to play with your hair. “You wear it so effortlessly--” She pauses and touches behind your ear. Your shift. “And what’s that? A birthmark?”
You resist the urge to swat her away. That regrettable spiral of ink is easy enough to hide but a permanent reminder of your mistakes. You thought you were so hard, so tough. A rebel with a needle tattoo. All your so-called sisters who shared the same mark sent you to prison.
“Just... a tattoo.” You answer honestly and peek at Laufeyson. His lashes flick curiously. “Nothing, really.”
“It reminds me of a rune,” she tweaks her head to see it better.
“It’s nothing. Really. I was a teenager once,” you shrug.
“Not so long ago,” she draws away. “Ah, but with a face like that, you’ve far to go.”
“Thanks,” you swallow and reach for the water.
“My other son has many tattoos. Oh, I told him not to do it but...” Frigga mourns with a hand to her forehead. “He’s such a sweet boy but he acts before he thinks.”
“That is one way to put it,” Laufeyson mutters. “Must we speak of him?’
“Oh, he’s so excited to see you. Another reason you should come to your father’s special day. Not to mention, you are his son.”
“He would seem to forget it,” he rebuffs.
“You two are too alike,” she reproaches. “So stubborn.”
“He is stubborn, I merely do not appease him,” Laufeyson smooths his tie, keeping his hand around it.
“Well, your brother is on the right foot now. He’s out and he’s going to be helping out your father--”
“Ah, yes, he gets out and goes right back to the golden child. He will take on the business--”
“No, that isn’t what I’m saying--”
“Let me guess, he learned so much in prison. He is redeemed?” Laufeyson snips at his mother then wince. His eyes list to you and his eyebrows tweak. His brother is a convict? Like you?
“He is trying. And he shows up. We never see you--”
“Never see me? As I am working to keep all in order. Who sees that the gardener is sent on the correct day? That the maid does not disturb your luncheons? That the property is kept secure? I mightn’t be there in person but my hard work is there.”
“I understand that, but we would prefer a son to an accountant,” she pets his hand and his fingers unfurl.
“Mother,” he looks at the far wall.
“Oof, I am getting rather stuffy in here,” Fulla says, “pretty one,” she taps your knee, “come. I need a cigarette.”
You’re taken aback at that. You never smoked much. In prison, keeping the habit could rule your existence, more than it was already restricted.
“Oh, sure,” you take the subtle signal that this conversation is better left to simmer.
“And you could use some fresh air,” she stands and takes her purse from the back of the chair.
You get up and look at Laufeyson. He doesn’t offer much back. You follow his aunt across the dining room.
You go outside as she pulls out a brown cigarette, the scented type that makes you sick. You keep your distance as she lights it. She offers you one and you decline politely.
“Families,” she snorts. “I’m sure you know.”
“They’re complicated,” you shrug.
“Very,” she agrees. “You have siblings?”
“Seven,” you answer honestly.
She coughs as her eyes bulge, “dear lord, your poor mother.”
Poor her. Always her plights. A mother who had too many children to mind. A mother who never should have been one.
“She didn’t let us forget so,” you affirm.
“Oldest?” She wonders.
“Right in the middle, with my brother.”
“Ah, yes, well, middle children... Frigga’s the eldest, our baby brother, Freyr, can do no wrong. I’m the special one. Like you, I know how to make friends with the wall,” she inhales and lets out a plume. “Loki, the youngest, coddled boy. I’m sure you can tell.”
“He is only my boss. They are all demanding,” you say.

here we go. originally we said we would not talk about this. we would not draw attention to it. we would wait for it to blow over. but a lot of misinformation has spread and a lot of us feel like it's getting to a critical point.
us being the members of the recently highly controversial anti-censorship jrwi discord server.
i would have reblogged this from @rantarang's most recent reblog but sadly further up the rb chain are screenshots with doxxed information about a lot of my friends and i, so i will not be reblogging that post. do not go looking for it. you can base your opinion off of what information has been given without rewarding a severe invasion and violation of privacy, regardless of what you think of us.
the events that have transpired are as following: a post is made criticizing and warning about the bitb zine (which has since been canceled). as a reaction to this a tumblr user decides to investigate into the people behind it, despite the original poster censoring the names and urls of the mods, and finds this server. they infiltrate it, lying to the mod to gain access, and then proceed to screenshot and post the entire members list (meaning display names and pfps of every single person who might or might not be active in this server) plus some further personal information about certain people and private conversations.
they do not care to find out if any of these people are minors before they expose parts of our private contact information and call us degenerates and accuse us of grooming, and then they ask the people to please tell them if anyone is a minor so they can be "protected".
this, btw, is illegal. spreading personal information and private conversations with the intent to harm (even if it's "just" defamation), especially on the internet, is very much illegal. what matters more of course is that it is incredibly dangerous, opening up a lot of people - whether you see them as gross perverts or not - to brutal harassment and at the very least, as was intended by the infiltrator, extreme alienation. i mention that it's illegal for reasons that will become apparent.
now. this could have been it. pretty catastrophic and dangerous but an isolated incident. but people do what they do best. they talk and converse and assume and things get lost in translation.
i decided to write this and talked about it with some people in this server after i read up on the conversation underneath that post by rantarang and @tigers1o1.
one of the first things to set straight is that the zine is not the same thing as the server and besides some of the same people being involved and existing in the same fandom actually has no connection to it whatsoever.
i do not know a lot about the zine. i will not be the one to talk about that.
next thing, none of our mods are underage. this was a misunderstanding due to the zine having an underage mod, who afaik explicitly doesn't engage with any nsfw content.
and now for the big one. we have been accused of grooming and harassing minors. we have been called criminals. we have been accused of illegal actions. this is all not true. i understand where that assumption can come from, but assumptions are not truth.
let me talk a bit about my experience on this server.
i joined mostly because it was a server one of my friends advertised. i was aware it was going to include topics that i wasn't entirely comfortable with so i was hesitant to join, but i did.
what i found was one of the most impressive discord servers i'd ever seen in regards to moderation. coming in at first you do not see anything beyond the rules section and some other administrative channels. you are required to read the rules and to react to the post so you can even just get to see the chatting channel.
furthermore, once you go through the vetting process (which is as noninvasive as possible since internet safety is a thing we are very conscious of), you can only view channels that are free of any potentially triggering content (nsfw, gore, underage, drugs and more) until you look through the roles available and choose which ones you would like to see. you have to actively click a labeled button and then find and enter the channel you chose to be able to actually see, before you get to any potentially dark and/or triggering content.
not only that, but any and all talk about ships, even the purely romantic/nonsexual kind, is relegated to their own personal threads, which require you to agree to see topics that might be relevant (for example, violence or gore and death for emizel/gabriel) and allow you to simply not have to see or engage with any ships that you might find bad, annoying, triggering, or whatever else.
so NO, we do not invite children into the server where they are immediately blasted with pedophilia or SA against their will.
i personally chose to be able to access some of these darker channels mostly out of curiosity. i don't really take part in them, i don't chat in them and i don't read every single message. but i still get a good feeling what these conversations are mostly about. fictional characters experiencing bad shit, or maybe fictional characters doing bad shit. or maybe, god forbid, someone engaging with a kink of their's in what is clearly labeled as a kink space.
i have been in this server from quite early on. i have seen a lot of stuff that has happened there. not once have i witnessed inappropriate behavior between two people. not once have i picked up on any behavior indicative of manipulation or grooming or SA.
the people in this server are mostly just... friends. people hanging out in a space that allows them to talk about topics that might upset some in a way that spares those who would be upset from seeing it. a space that allows you to see and read exactly what you want and nothing more. a space that is really really fucking well moderated. i am not kidding we are strict about putting warnings on stuff, about posting in the correct channels.
and finally the minor issue. that is the issue of minors. i mentioned earlier that our vetting system is intentionally noninvasive. we do not ask for any personal identification. we do not ask for any proof that you are well meaning (how would that even work?), and most importantly we do not ask for people's ages.
this is for two reasons.
a) DO NOT GIVE STRANGERS ON THE INTERNET THAT KIND OF INFORMATION JESUS CHRIST!! DO NOT ASK PEOPLE THAT KIND OF INFORMATION! STOP NORMALIZING MINORS OPENLY ADVERTISING THEMSELVES AS MINORS, THAT IS LITERALLY INTERNET SAFETY 101 OH MY GOD!!!
and with that out of the way, b) we could never enforce this anyways. you want us to ask for driver's licenses? fucking passports? people lie. children lie, teens lie, we know this. ask literally anyone who's ever tried to keep an online space free from people under any age. instagram is 13+, and do you know how many people i know who lied about their age to get access to that? too fucking many to count.
telling us to keep our space free of minors is a wasted effort. it's annoying but it's true.
all we can do is be explicit about what kind of content people could face and trust them to act accordingly to their own comfort levels.
and, to be quite honest, while i personally (and many other members) have expressed discomfort with the idea of sharing certain, more sexual parts of this server with minors, the truth is that it's not actually the end of the world if one stumbles across those parts, whether on purpose, by accident, or by stupid mistake. it might be uncomfortable and it might cause issues, but that's life.
life sometimes is uncomfortable, and there might sometimes be issues. again, to try and erase all those potential issues or discomforts from life is pointless. it will never work that way no matter how bad we want it.
ultimately i strongly believe that if a minor were to find themself in conversations about darker or more taboo topics, the people that frequent this server would never even think to bring them harm. i cannot reiterate enough that each and every single one of us is strongly against any kind of sexual violence outside of the fictional realm; in real life.
and that's where we are. in real life. which if you'll remember is actually different from playing pretend. no actual harm has been done to anyone. every single person who was confronted with these topics has volunteered for it. every single person who has read what was said in these channels gave their explicit consent.
that is, until our member list was leaked and the content we worked hard to keep safely separated and tagged was posted against our will on the internet and forced upon an absurd amount of strangers who never agreed to get involved.
we never once put anyone in harm's way, unlike you did.
and since it seems so important to you, we never once did anything illegal. unlike you did.
-----
i apologize that this got so long, but there was a lot to set straight. if you got to the end, thank you for indulging me.
again, do not seek out the person who leaked our info, and do not seek out the list itself. we sadly cannot unleak it but it would mean a lot if you didn't pass it around any more than people already have, even if you don't agree with me.
i would also like to say that while i did converse with some of the other members and am fairly confident that most of them would agree with me, all of this is my own opinion, do not make the mistake of extrapolating it to the server at large.
and if you saw the initial callout post and agreed with it, i don't blame you. the internet is a scary place and seeing these events framed in such a way is certainly frightening. but keep in mind that as long as you don't see hard proof, please do not "call out" anybody. and for god's sake do not post private information on tumblr! there could be real harm done here and i don't think anyone actually wants that.
thank you again for reading this, i hope it can settle some things.
love, monty

Based on our conversation the other day, because I love hearing what things you love, please list and describe your top 5 favourite moments in Twisted Wonderland so far (from the main plot or side events💜)
I am so excited to answer this, friend! I loved having our conversation together earlier this week as I am always ready to discuss Twisted Wonderland.
To clarify to everyone: I only play on the English server so I will only talk about those events. I'm also going to stick to the main story/events. Vignettes are an entirely separate list.
Also, spoilers for Twisted Wonderland!
My Top Five Favourite Moments in Twisted Wonderland
5. Leona being "volun-told" to help - Fairy Tale Gala
We start this list with an event story! Fairy Tale Gala is one of my favourite events, mostly due to aesthetic and story. Leona is also one of my favourite housewardens! So, naturally, this scene had to end up on my list!
What makes this scene so memorable to me is not just the humour of the situation. Of course, one aspect of Twisted Wonderland that is endlessly funny is how the housewardens (minus Kalim) don't jump to help others. This is especially funny in the Fairy Tale Gala as Leona is "volun-told" that he's the one picked to walk on the runway. I loved his grumpiness upon realizing that he has to go through with the plan.
4. How Yuu persuades Leona to help - Book 3
Another Leona centred scene! I love Yuu, post Leona's overblot, deciding "Yes, I'm not scared of Leona. Yes, this means I'm going to be the biggest, loudest nuisance possible until he agrees to help" is priceless. It also WORKS?? I can't even imagine what the rest of the dorm was thinking. They're recovering from Leona's overblot and now this? I bet everyone's relief that Leona agreed to help was palpable the following day. Though, Leona is a bit of a tsundere, so he was bound to help out anyways ahaha.
3. Rook delivering Vil's moisturizer/lotions - Book 6
I want everyone to know that this encompasses the entire set-up to the punchline of the joke which is "Rook flies halfway across the world to STYX, trespasses, and is nearly killed on sight all to give Vil his moisturizer/lotions." What adds to this punchline is Idia's entire reaction. The sheer humour of Rook going "Oh no, I'm not here to break my housewarden (boyfriend) out of STYX." and proceeds to reveal the truth of his visit? That's comedic gold.
Of course, Vil ends up using it to escape which Rook obviously knew he'd do. However, Rook left the breaking out to Vil and sincerely only came to give the product to Vil.
2. Yuu crashing into Octavinelle - Book 4
I love this scene because it's a stroke of luck/coincidence that Yuu gets Octavinelle involved. There is something about a character desperate for help only to receive it from their prior enemies that makes me happy. Especially when no one expects it. Easily, one of my favourite tropes. I know eventually all dorms help, but Octavinelle is one of the more antagonistic dorms in their book. That makes their decision to help Yuu out all the better for me.
Yuu finding out "Tsunotarou's" identity - Book 5
One of my all-time favourite trope is a dramatic identity reveal. I live for them, especially when the reveal happens in a moment of crisis. So, by far my most favourite scene in Twisted Wonderland is when Yuu finally learns the identity of Malleus.
As someone who loves Malleus, I was waiting with anticipation to how Yuu would discover the truth. Especially when I knew Malleus would arrive to watch the dance competition. The story did not disappoint me. The other's reactions to Yuu casually calling The Crown Prince to Briar Valley "Tsunotarou" lives rent free in my mind. I have replayed that scene multiple times and every time it makes me happy.
And there you have it, friend! I hope you enjoyed my list! I await your own list of top five favourite scenes from Twisted Wonderland! Please, let us know!

Master chef / Culinary crucible with IdoAzu lense
This include jp server spoiler
MasterChef where octa appear as judge:
2 mer: Fish- Floyd Azul, Paprika- Jade Floyd, Milk- Jade Floyd.
1 mer: Meat- Floyd, Spice- Jade, Bean- Azul, Potato- Azul, Noodle- Jade, (maybe there'll be solo judge Floyd later?)
As for personal story:
Azul judge Jamil (fish). He's lucky he got Jami. It'll be disastrous with his ultra sensitive taste bud if he get amateur cook.
Jade judge Floyd (noodle). Awfully suspicious judge rotation, how can he end up here? Bitching about the food too, really asking for a fight eh. He's always like this with Azul too. Sigh How handful.
Floyd judge Leona (milk). Leona failed it and it entertain Floyd so much he keep laughing at Leona. He thought all land dweller should have known how to use microwave, I wonder if this is knowledge he obtained from Jade and Azul because they're his sources.
Chef Octa
Bean Jade: poisoned Rook
Noodle Floyd: somehow Jade is his judge and critiques how he need more.
Waiting room Azul:
Oddity of Floyd master chef card (by extension, Sebek)
This card series buddy bonus supposed to be the other chef and judge in personal story. So Sebek and Jade and yet it's Sebek and not Jade. Sebek buddy bonus also not with his judge Jack, instead there's Trey. Where's those person then? What's happening with this banner cards? 🤔 It feels like either someone mess with the judge list or both original judge can't attend at the same time.
I'd love to think it's because Jade messed up the schedule ofc 😌, it's a very great move from him.
Octavinelle judge sprites comparison
that started because of Halloween Jade battle sprite baring his fang, so I got curious of their teeth in currently running cooking events in both servers since we have all octa attending!
*adding tsum Azul because cute fang (no Floyd since he always show his)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Let's begin teeth inspection
Azul only have one spoon feeding move to eat his entire serving, Jade two, Floyd three. Azul use of napkin after he eat.
The one with same animation as Azul during potato event is Vil. Riddle and Lilia also use napkin but they eat two times. Difference in physique?
Btw Grimm blow his food first since he has cat tongue and proceed to eat his food in one gulp).
Floyd hold the cutlery flipped but use right hand while holding the score board.
Interesting thing during milk event, there's 1 point difference with Jade giving less score. Even thought on previous event where they're both present aka paprika event, they have exact same score. Jade and Floyd have different preference with milk.
Tumblr media
When they open their mouths while eating
Tumblr media
When fed with Mystery food X or less than average food.
Tumblr media
Expression for score 2,3,4. Just politely smiling at the amateurish attempt. Azul arms pose is half of each twin, right hand Jade and left hand Floyd. Super cute
Tumblr media
Score 5,6,7. Getting better. Why do i feel like Azul smile because he find potential chef to work at mostro. Again Azul pose is half2 of the twin, big love.
Tumblr media
8,9,10. Still need to point out how I like Azul arms look like that. Now it's the opposite from previous pose, his right just like Floyd and left same as Jade.
Tumblr media
Azul's full score as reference

OKAY SO
c!DocM77 FANLORE
Warning: This massive fucking wall of text contains discussion of war, violence, seperation from one's family, implied/assumed child death, implied death overall, Entire Villages Burning Down, explosions and people injured in explosions, mild gore if your imagination is vivid though i tried not to describe it too gruesomely, a bit of internalized ableism regarding large injuries prosthetic use, and ✨PTSD symptoms✨! Proceed with caution, fellow blockmen enjoyers.
doc lived a majority of his life in a simple little village in a distant server, working on mechanical projects and tinkering for people. he's very autistic and very undiagnosed.
asp he met a lovely individual- an eagle avian- and they had a kid, that kid being doccy
doc still remembers the way his heart /soared/ when doccy took their first wobbly steps, a few hours after birth
he can also still remember how about a w33k later his heart sank when he saw his name on the draft list
his child isn't even a full 7 days old and he's already being told he's going to war, to fight for a government that's never done a god damn thing for him
he can't say no. he has literally no choice, so his community, who he's all close with, swears to him that they'll make sure his child knows they're loved- that their papa is away for a while but that he'll be back
he's just a regular foot soldier, and that's fine by him. he frequently ALMOST gets in trouble for fucking with machines he doesnt have the authority to be messing with
keyword almost because they always realize 'ah. hes fixed the crucial flaw we couldnt figure out.'
one day he's out on the field being Actively Shot At, and a machine nearby breaks down
it provides excellent cover so he runs to go fix it
and forgets that the fuel tank being shot is also a risk
the fuel tank is shot and the machine fucking explodes
it takes hours for anyone to find him, and when he is found, he's damn near dead already. the left side of his face has been practically flayed off by a piece of metal, and his right arm is just... fucking mangled
they bring him to the triage tent, blah blah blah have to amputate his arm + remove his absolutely brutalized eye
so when they send him home- he is far too damaged to fight- and he finds his cozy little village practically incinerated, still smouldering, corpses everywhere,
he cant even be surprised
but his heart shatters when he finds the little butterfly plushie that his neighbour made for doccy
he wanders, pretty much fucking entirely dissociated, for days on end, until a group of vagrants picks him up. he's so dead silent they assume he's a mute [doc having verbal shutdowns as a result of stress so real]
the first thing he says after Several days,
is his child's name, clutching that little plush butterfly in trembling hands
someone can tell he's grieving, and coaxes him into talking abt his kid
and then someone interrupts halfway with
HOLY SHIT WE MET THAT KID???
and doc very rapidly goes from being almost too quiet to hear,
to extremely loudly stating that THEY WILL HELP HIM FIND HIS FUCKING KID.
now, doccy's not even 3 months old yet
theyre just so fucking lost and confused and scared. they joined the first group of people they could, thinking in 2.75monthold logic that 'everyone ive ever met is papa's friend. i have now met these people. they must be papa's friends. im staying with them now'
when doc and doccy find eachother again he just breaks down sobbing, and the moment doc can, he gets the FUCK off of that server and takes doccy with him
he jailbreaks his comm to ignore whitelist functions, private server protections, etc., and server hops relentlessly until he can find a safe place to stay- which is how he comes across hermitcraft, around early S3
the moment he's on server he's being absolutely swarmed by hermits wanting to know who he is, what he wants, how he fuckin got in
and he's entirely ready to fight all these people off and get the hell out
but then someone spots doccy and everyone immediately pauses
and they start to notice the way doc's entire posture reads as someone with no intent to harm
they see the wild, yet unfocused look in his eye, how fresh his scars clearly are, how clumsily he weilds his prosthetic arm
they take stock of how every time he moves, it is to achieve one if thr33 things:
making himself look bigger
k33ping the hermits away from him
k33ping doccy close to him
they all pretty quickly realize 'this guy n33ds somewhere safe to live'
keralis lets Doc stay in his home while he settles in. eventually he moves out,
into a literal hole a little ways away
and from then on, it's history, they all lived happily ever after*
*doc has major ptsd. there are some days where the idea of being too far from doccy terrifies him. he struggles with his prosthetic for ages before he says 'fuck it' and builds his cybernetics. some days he regrets that decision, as he would like nothing more than to strip the metal from his body. some days he would rather be incomplete, than a twisted amalgam of man and machine.
the first time he hears any talk of war on the server, he panics, and tries to leave. they have to explain to him that 'war' just means 'we get silly'.
he struggles to bond closely with the hermits. some nights he dreams of tragedy. he dreams that he finds his new home scorched into nothing.
but that is what it is. home.
================================
OKAY THATS MY DOC LORE. hehehehhehehehe. bluie ik ur in a state where long sends are A Lot so dont worry abt trying to get to this, just take care of yourself, alright?

Palate Cleanser
Tumblr media
Another chair scraped against the floor, slower this time, as Richard Liebrandt rose to his feet.
"We're leaving. Now."
His wife hesitated, confusion flickering across her face, fear rooting her in place.
"I—I have to get my wrap."
"Forget your wrap. Get up."
"But—"
Despite her reluctance, she obeyed, following her husband toward the front door. But the guards didn't move.
Elsa stepped forward, blocking their path. "Mr. Liebrandt?"
"We're leaving."
"Is something wrong?"
"We're leaving."
Silence settled over the room. The other diners watched, wary but transfixed. None more so than the assassin, who could sense impending stupidity from a mile away.
"There is no boat to leave on."
Mrs. Liebrandt trembled. Unsure. Torn between urging her husband to back down and standing by his side. "Then—I'll call a helicopter."
Elsa's lips curled into a patronizing smile. She relished this. "That would be very difficult without phone service."
Adele checked her smartwatch discreetly. Elsa was right.
Some of Richard's bravado cracked as another guard moved to block the hallway, reinforcing the futility of his plan. "Fucking move!" he bellowed, as if sheer volume might scare them off like birds.
That was enough for Anne. She clung to his shoulder, whispering something sharply in his ear.
"No—no! I can—I will handle this, just—" He shook her off, straightening.
A dangerous flicker crossed Elsa's expression—so brief, so subtle, that only someone like Adele would have caught it.
"With which hand?" Elsa asked.
Richard blinked. "What?"
"With which hand will you 'handle' this, Mr. Liebrandt? Left or right?"
"What the fuck are you saying?"
Elsa glanced toward the kitchen, and as if summoned, a cook stepped forward.
"Choose what?" Richard snapped.
Elsa didn't wait. She nodded to the guards. "Left hand. Ring finger."
He chose nothing.
She chose violence.
The cleaver fell in a flash.
A scream tore through the room as Richard crumpled to the floor, clutching his bleeding hand. Two servers wrapped his stump in a pristine linen napkin, securing it with a decorative ribbon, as if presenting a delicacy.
Elsa plucked the severed finger from the table, retrieving the fallen wedding ring. She held it out to Anne.
"Thank you," Anne whispered, teary-eyed, stunned.
Elsa smiled. "You're welcome."
The restaurant was silent. Most patrons sat in shock, their minds too numb to process what had just happened. But not Lillian. Not Ted.
Lillian turned to her companion, still absorbed in her own narrative. "I honestly think this is all for our benefit. That's why he texted me. And this," she gestured at the meal with her fork, "is incredible."
Ted nodded in agreement, leaning toward the movie star's table. "The acting is astonishing."
Unbelievable.
George shot him a look. "What the fuck are you talking about?"
Adele nearly missed it—Margot being led into the kitchen by Elsa. Silently, she unmuted her smartwatch, checking if anyone was watching before trailing her gaze after the redhead.
Margot stood before Chef Slowik. He studied her, eyes raking over every inch of her being before shaking his head.
"No. No, I'm sorry, but you're all wrong."
As he tinkered with the next dish, Margot's voice came out steady. "Why are you doing this?"
"You're just—simply wrong."
"What the fuck does that mean?"
Slowik stepped closer, his gaze piercing. "Who are you?"
Adele turned her head away as the sommelier glided past.
"I am Margot," the redhead asserted, clinging to her alias like a lifeline.
But Slowik wouldn't relent. "I've served many Margots. You are not a Margot."
"Why does it even matter?"
Good question. Why did it matter so much to him?
"Because this menu, this guest list, this entire evening has been meticulously planned. And you were not a part of that plan. You are spoiling everything." He gestured vaguely before fixing her with an unnerving stare. "In order to proceed, I need to know where to seat you: with us, or with them?"
Adele's gut twisted. She'd known something was off. Had suspected this.
Curse her precise intuition.
Margot swallowed. "And then you'll... let me live?"
Slowik smiled. "No, of course not. That would ruin the menu. We're all going to die tonight." He turned to his staff. "Isn't that right?"
"Yes, Chef!" came the unified, almost ecstatic response.
"So the question is: do you want to die with those who give, or with those who take?"
Oh, he was deranged.
"But I die either way. It's arbitrary."
Slowik tsked. "No, it's not arbitrary. Nothing in this kitchen is arbitrary. Please pick. These decisions matter."
He bared sharp canines in an unsettling grin before lifting something off the counter—a timer.
"Our menu is strictly timed. In fifteen minutes, I'll have a break between courses. That is how long you have to decide." He waved a hand. "In the meantime, please return to your seat. The next dish is exquisite. Plating in five!"
"Yes, Chef!"
"I love you all!"
"We love you too, Chef!"
Mass psychosis.
Tongue-tied, Margot returned to her seat. Adele watched her march straight up to a wide-eyed Tyler, who muttered something before—
Slap!
The sound rang pleasantly in Adele's ears.
Insensitive bastard.

"So, so, what's the play here? What are our options?"
"The door's locked and guarded. The windows—?"
The techno bros whispered urgently at their table. The movie star, eavesdropping, leaned in. "Hey, guys, we've gotta do something. We can't just sit here like cowards. In The Assault, there's this scene—when they bring out the knives and forks, we storm the kitchen."
"And you think we've got better knife skills than them?"
Before anyone could answer, Soren shot to his feet, grabbed his chair, and hurled it at one of the bay windows. It slammed into the thick, reinforced glass and bounced right off. Breathing hard, he stared at the unbroken pane, then lashed out, kicking it over and over until his strength gave out.
No one stopped him. The kitchen barely acknowledged him. Trapped and furious, he did the only thing left.
"GAH!!! FUCK!!!"
Elsa, perfectly composed, stepped forward and silently returned his chair to its place.
Adele flinched as Chef set a silvery tray in the middle of their table. Slowik's mother slumped in her seat, the alcohol having dragged her into unconsciousness. On the tray: a glass kettle and two delicate teacups. One, he took for himself. The other... well.
Adele swallowed. He wouldn't actually make her drink it in front of the entire restaurant, would he? If he was going to have some psychotic break, she almost wished he'd just smash it against her skull and get it over with. At least then, she'd be free of this stupid mission. This cult.
But of course, he did neither. Instead, he settled in for another monologue.
"There's a saying: Sometimes, all you need is a good cup of tea. I learned that growing up in Bratislava."
Adele blinked. Didn't he say he was from Iowa?
Slowik took a slow sip. "Tea doesn't just cleanse the palate," he mused. "It soothes. A balm for when one must finally confront hard, home truths."
Elsa watched Adele roll her eyes, her dark gaze narrowing.
Yes, yes. We're all going to die here tonight. No need to say it twice.
Servers moved through the room, placing bowls of tea in front of the guests.
Tumblr media
"So, before we continue, are there any questions about me or Hawthorn? Any questions?"
For the first time, there was silence. Deadly silence. No one dared to raise their hand—until Tyler did.
"Is this bergamot I'm tasting, Chef?"
Several guests shot him incredulous looks: That's the question you ask?
Even Slowik rolled his eyes, shaking his head in disappointment. "Yes, it is."
The movie star hesitantly raised his hand, clearing his throat.
"Yes?"
He stood up. "I think I speak for everyone here when I say that, uh—I wanna know—I-I mean, we wanna know—"
"Why the fuck is this happening, man?" Soren blurted out, his voice shaking.
Slowik regarded them coolly. "Well, I'll tell you. Think of yourselves as ingredients in a degustation concept."
"What?" Soren interrupted.
"A tasting concept. Figuratively speaking. I think that's the best way to describe it. But none of this should be a surprise to most of you. Ms. Bloom—Lillian, if I may—my cherished early advocate, knows the damage she has done to so many livelihoods."
"No, no, no. Now, hang on, Chef—"
"No, no. No. You don't talk." He silenced her with a sharp stare.
Ted immediately jumped to her defense. "I'm sorry, Chef, but you agreed to an interview—what?—with Lillian Bloom, and that interview created this restaurant—"
Slowik stepped dangerously close, and Ted shrank in his seat. "You enabled her filth. You buttress. You coddle."
Ted's face twisted in offense. A server approached the high-strung critic and placed a comically large container in front of her. "More broken emulsion, madam."
Lillian stared at it.
"You loved that I texted you an invitation for this evening. Me, yearning for your attendance. Heh. Your ego was fed—but that was expected. And in turn, you fed mine."
A timer ticked somewhere.
"Please!" A woman's desperate voice broke through the tension. The injured man beside her grimaced in pain. "My husband needs to go to the hospital."
"I-I'm fine," he muttered. "Just let my wife go."
Slowik ignored him. "My loyal regulars. How many times have you eaten here in the last five years?"
Mr. Liebrandt fumbled for a number, but his wife, Anne, corrected him. "I think it's more than that, Rick..."
"Eleven," Slowik supplied. "Eleven times. Most people consider themselves blessed to dine here just once. Mr. Liebrandt, kindly name one dish you ate the last time you were here."
Silence. Slowik sighed, disappointed.
"Eleven times you took the boat out here, where we introduce every dish, every single time. We tell you exactly what we are feeding you. So please, tell me one dish you ate last time. Or the time before. One. Please."
Richard opened his mouth, but nothing came out. His wife leaned in, whispering, "Cod."
Slowik's expression turned cold. "It wasn't cod, you donkey. It was halibut. Rare fucking spotted halibut."
"What does it matter?" Anne snapped.
To him, apparently, it mattered a lot. The man took it personally.
"It matters to the halibut, Mrs. Liebrandt. And to the artist whose work turns to shit inside your gut."
He straightened, addressing the entire room like a professor. "I've allowed my work to reach a price point where only the people in this room can access it. And I have been fooled into trying to please people who can never be satisfied."
Sounds like a you problem.
He pointed at his mother. "Starting with her."
"But that's our culture, isn't it? And my restaurant is part of the problem."
At least he had some self-awareness.
"You say it's your restaurant," Bryce interjected, his sweaty face smug. "But if we're all being honest tonight, like you say—it's not."
"You're right," Slowik admitted. "Doug Verrick is my angel investor. He owns this island. He owns this restaurant. And since Hawthorn is my entire life, I'd have to say... Doug Verrick owns me." A pause. "Except—now things are a little more complicated. And I own Doug Verrick."
He looked at Elsa, who flipped a switch on the wall.
Outside, spotlights illuminated a grotesque sight: Doug Verrick, suspended above the water by a contraption, angel wings strapped to his back.
Margot gasped. The sommelier laughed.
A chorus of "holy shits" and "oh my gods" erupted. The tech bros grew frantic, their boss strung up like Jesus on the cross. They tried negotiating. With money.
Wrong tactic.
Slowik shot down every attempt.
Dave made a desperate lunge for the door—but a large guard knocked him flat. He sprawled out, pathetic.
Bryce shot to his feet, voice full of misplaced entitlement. "He kept you open through COVID, you prick!"
"Yes, he did." Slowik's voice remained eerily calm. "And he questioned my menu. He would request substitutions—despite the fact that THERE. ARE. NO. SUBSTITUTIONS. AT. HAWTHORN!!!"
His voice roared, the fury raw—festering for years.
Then, just as suddenly, he collected himself. A smooth gesture toward Elsa.
"Fallen Angel, please."
Outside, the contraption lowered. Verrick's screams grew frantic. Like a teabag sinking into boiling water.
"You're a fucking maniac."
"Shh. Just listen." Slowik closed his eyes—as if savoring a melody.
"This is—"
"I said listen."
The room fell silent. Pained, horrified eyes watched as Verrick was lowered further. Down, down, down—until finally, the water swallowed him whole.
"And..."
Slowik waited.
Total, serene silence.
"Quiet..." he whispered, content.
Eyes still closed, he breathed it in. Peace.
Tyler, ever the idiot, mimicked him.
BEEP BEEP!
A kitchen timer shattered the moment.
"Time's up, Miss Mills," Elsa said, slipping the timer into her pocket. "Chef will see you now. In his office."
Margot hesitated.
Tyler, jealousy flickering in his expression, spoke up. "May I speak to the Chef as well?"
Elsa didn't even look at him. "You may not."
Two cooks escorted Margot toward a door. Adele, still listening in, watched intently.
She was led toward Chef Slowik's office, and Adele once again tuned in with her bug.
"You've made your decision," Slowik began.
"I have. I—I've decided you're right. I shouldn't be here tonight. And I say this with respect because I'm sure you're quite brilliant, but all of this—it wasn't meant for me."
Ah, now she was trying to butter him up.
"You're not sure I'm brilliant, so don't say it. It's false."
Margot inhaled. "Fine. I am not sure that you're brilliant."
"Oh, I was expecting more." He sounded disappointed, but Adele knew he was just toying with her.
Margot, however, had no patience for games. "Fuck you."
"I guess I have to make your decision for you: You belong here, with your own breed."
"And what breed is that?"
"With the shit shovelers. Oh, you thought I couldn't tell? I know a fellow service industry worker when I see one."
...
"Mr. Liebrandt. How do you know him?"
Margot didn't answer.
"You've been eyeing him all evening."
Adele had noticed that too.
"Oh, I think you know."
"No, I don't."
"He paid for an experience. And I can tell, from one provider of experiences to another, that you don't rattle easily. So how did he rattle you?"
Margot shifted. "It didn't rattle—"
"Margot." Slowik enunciated pointedly.
She exhaled sharply. "He told me to agree with everything he said and maintain eye contact while he jerked off."
Disgusting. Slowik made a noise. "Specific."
"Not really. Pretty unoriginal. What rattled me was that he told me to say he was a good man, that I was his daughter, and that I loved him, and—"
The chef cut her off. "So he's a romantic."
They shared the smallest chuckle. Adele's expression darkened. Like John, she had her own principles and preferences regarding which bounties to accept. But even without a contract, she had no qualms about killing the scum of society for free. She had handled cases where she genuinely felt she'd done the world a favor.
"I don't need the details. I know what a bad customer is."
For the first time, a connection seemed to form between them.
"Do you enjoy providing your services?"
Margot took a second to consider. "Yes. Or, I used to. Do you enjoy providing yours?"
"I used to. I haven't desired to cook for someone in ages. And one does miss that feeling."
A beat. The slightest crack in his armor.
"Come with me," he told her. Moments later, they exited his office together. When they returned, tension and dread hung thick in the air. The exhausted diners flinched as Chef walked near, like beaten dogs.
He clapped, but the diners were too numb to respond.
"Ladies and gentlemen, for our next course, let us take the evening air."
They all sat there, unmoving. What was he talking about?
"Come. Come," he encouraged them.
Elsa stood by the now-open door leading outside. The escape hatch had been unlocked. But what awaited them beyond?

Understanding the "Unable to Get Local Issuer Certificate" Error
Tumblr media
In the realm of SSL/TLS, the "Unable to get local issuer certificate" error is a common stumbling block that developers and system administrators encounter when working with secure connections. This error typically arises when a certificate chain cannot be fully validated, meaning that the system is unable to verify the authenticity of a certificate because it does not recognize the issuer. Understanding this error is crucial for ensuring secure communication in web applications, servers, and other systems that rely on SSL/TLS.
What is SSL/TLS?
SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) and its successor, TLS (Transport Layer Security), are cryptographic protocols designed to provide secure communication over a computer network. They are used extensively for securing web traffic, email, and other forms of communication. The primary purpose of SSL/TLS is to ensure privacy, data integrity, and authentication between parties in a communication session.
SSL/TLS relies on certificates to establish trust. These certificates are issued by trusted entities known as Certificate Authorities (CAs). When a secure connection is established, the server presents its certificate to the client, and the client verifies this certificate against a list of trusted CAs. If the certificate is valid and the CA is trusted, the connection proceeds. If not, errors like "Unable to get local issuer certificate" can occur.
The Anatomy of a Certificate Chain
A certificate chain, also known as a certification path, is a sequence of certificates, where each certificate in the chain is signed by the subsequent certificate. The chain starts with the end-user certificate and goes up to a root certificate, which is self-signed by the CA. The typical structure of a certificate chain includes:
End-User Certificate: This is the certificate for the website or service in question.
Intermediate Certificates: These certificates bridge the gap between the end-user certificate and the root certificate. They are issued by the CA and must be trusted by the client.
Root Certificate: The root certificate is the topmost certificate in the chain and is self-signed by the CA. It is usually pre-installed in the system’s certificate store.
For the certificate to be trusted, the entire chain from the end-user certificate to the root certificate must be valid and recognized by the system. If any link in this chain is missing or unrecognized, errors will occur.
What Causes the "Unable to Get Local Issuer Certificate" Error?
The "Unable to get local issuer certificate" error occurs when the certificate presented by the server cannot be validated because the client is unable to locate the intermediate certificate or root certificate in its trust store. Several factors can lead to this error:
Missing Intermediate Certificates:
If the server fails to provide the complete certificate chain, the client may be unable to verify the certificate. This is common when the server only sends the end-user certificate without including the intermediate certificates.
Outdated or Incomplete Certificate Store:
The client’s certificate store may not have the required intermediate or root certificates. This can happen if the system's certificate store is outdated or if a necessary certificate has not been installed.
Self-Signed Certificates:
If a self-signed certificate is used and the client does not trust this certificate, the connection will fail with this error. This is often seen in development environments where self-signed certificates are used for testing purposes.
Improper Configuration:
Sometimes, misconfigurations on the server, such as incorrect paths to certificate files, can cause the server to send an incomplete or incorrect certificate chain.
Expired Certificates:
If any certificate in the chain has expired, the client may fail to validate the chain, leading to this error.
Troubleshooting and Resolving the Error
To resolve the "Unable to get local issuer certificate" error, several steps can be taken depending on the root cause:
Ensure the Complete Certificate Chain is Sent:
The server should be configured to send the full certificate chain, including the end-user certificate and all intermediate certificates. This is typically done by concatenating the certificates into a single file or ensuring the server software is configured to reference all necessary certificates.
Update the Client’s Certificate Store:
If the client’s certificate store is outdated, it should be updated with the latest certificates. On most operating systems, this can be done through package managers or system updates. For example, on Linux, updating the ca-certificates package can refresh the certificate store.
Manually Add Missing Certificates:
If specific intermediate or root certificates are missing, they can be manually added to the client’s certificate store. This is done by obtaining the missing certificates from the CA’s website and installing them into the trust store.
Check for Expired Certificates:
Use tools like OpenSSL to check the validity of certificates in the chain. If any certificates have expired, they must be renewed or replaced.
Use Correct Server Configuration:
Ensure that the server is correctly configured to point to the right certificate files. Check the server’s SSL/TLS configuration to verify that the certificate paths are correctly set up and that the files are accessible.
Switch to a Trusted CA:
If self-signed certificates are causing the issue, consider switching to certificates issued by a trusted CA. Many services now offer free SSL/TLS certificates (such as Let’s Encrypt), which can be easily installed and recognized by most clients.
Tools for Diagnosing the Error
Several tools can assist in diagnosing and fixing the "Unable to get local issuer certificate" error:
OpenSSL:
OpenSSL is a widely used tool for managing and troubleshooting SSL/TLS certificates. Commands like openssl s_client -connect can be used to inspect the certificate chain presented by a server.
SSL Labs SSL Test:
The SSL Labs SSL Test is an online service that analyzes a server’s SSL/TLS configuration and provides detailed information about the certificate chain and potential issues.
Curl with Verbose Option:
The command-line tool Curl, when used with the -v option, can provide insights into the SSL/TLS handshake process and pinpoint where the certificate verification is failing.
Browser Developer Tools:
Modern web browsers come with developer tools that include security panels. These can be used to inspect the certificate chain of any website and identify missing or untrusted certificates.
Conclusion
The "Unable to get local issuer certificate" error is a common issue that arises when working with SSL/TLS, particularly in environments where secure communication is critical. By understanding the structure of certificate chains and the factors that can lead to this error, you can effectively diagnose and resolve the issue. Whether it's updating the client’s certificate store, ensuring the complete certificate chain is sent, or switching to a trusted CA, there are several strategies available to mitigate this problem and ensure secure, reliable communication.

Router specifications for Nord VPN installation
Setting up NordVPN on your router can provide enhanced security and privacy for all devices connected to your network. However, not all routers are compatible with NordVPN, so it's crucial to consider the specifications before installation.
Firstly, ensure that your router supports VPN client capabilities. Look for routers that are compatible with OpenVPN, as NordVPN primarily uses this protocol for its connections. Additionally, check if your router allows for manual configuration of VPN settings, as this will be necessary for setting up NordVPN.

How Online Bidding Supports Environment?
In the digital age, online bidding has emerged as a powerful tool not only for commerce but also for promoting environmental sustainability. Through various mechanisms and practices, online bidding platforms contribute to reducing environmental impact and fostering a more eco-friendly approach to commerce.
Reduced Carbon Footprint: Traditional in-person auctions often involve extensive travel for both buyers and sellers, leading to a significant carbon footprint. Minnesota online auctions eliminate the need for physical attendance, allowing participants to engage in auctions from the comfort of their homes. This reduction in travel results in fewer carbon emissions, contributing to efforts to combat climate change.
Paperless Transactions: Online bidding platforms facilitate entirely paperless transactions. Bid submissions, auction catalogs, invoices, and receipts are all digital, eliminating the need for printed materials. This not only saves trees but also reduces the energy and resources associated with the production and transportation of paper.
Global Reach, Local Impact: Online bidding opens up auctions to a global audience, allowing individuals from different parts of the world to participate. This global reach can positively impact the environment by promoting the buying and selling of goods on a broader scale. Additionally, local sellers can tap into a wider market without the need for extensive shipping, reducing the environmental impact of long-distance transportation.
Efficient Logistics and Supply Chain: Online bidding streamlines the logistics and supply chain processes associated with traditional auctions. Items can be listed, sold, and shipped with greater efficiency, reducing the need for unnecessary transportation and storage. This optimized supply chain contributes to overall resource conservation and minimizes the environmental impact of handling and shipping goods.
Waste Reduction: Traditional auctions often generate a considerable amount of waste, particularly in the form of printed materials, promotional items, and physical catalogs. Online bidding platforms significantly reduce this waste by digitizing the entire process. Participants can access digital catalogs, bid electronically, and receive invoices without generating excess paper waste.
Energy Efficiency: Hosting physical auctions requires substantial energy consumption for venue lighting, heating, and cooling. Online bidding platforms operate on servers that can be optimized for energy efficiency. Many reputable platforms invest in sustainable data centers and implement measures to minimize energy consumption, contributing to a greener and more sustainable operation.
Encouraging Sustainable Practices: Online bidding platforms can influence and encourage sustainable practices among users. Platforms can promote eco-friendly packaging, responsible sourcing of materials, and ethical business practices. By fostering a community that values sustainability, online bidding platforms contribute to creating a marketplace that aligns with environmental values.
Real-Time Monitoring and Reporting: Online bidding platforms offer real-time monitoring and reporting capabilities, allowing users to track their environmental impact. Sellers and buyers can assess the carbon footprint associated with their transactions, fostering transparency and accountability. This information empowers participants to make informed choices that align with their environmental values.
Support for Green Initiatives: Some online bidding platforms actively support environmental causes and green initiatives. They may allocate a portion of their proceeds to environmental charities, promote sustainable practices among their users, or even organize auctions specifically dedicated to eco-friendly products. These initiatives further demonstrate the commitment of online bidding platforms to environmental sustainability.
Adapting to Changing Trends: The online bidding industry is dynamic and responsive to emerging trends. As environmental consciousness grows, these platforms are likely to adapt and integrate even more sustainable practices. This adaptability positions online bidding as a flexible and eco-conscious model for future commerce.
In conclusion, online bidding platforms play a crucial role in supporting environmental sustainability by reducing carbon footprints, promoting paperless transactions, optimizing logistics, minimizing waste, and encouraging eco-friendly practices. As technology continues to evolve, online bidding will likely remain at the forefront of environmentally conscious commerce, contributing to a more sustainable and eco-friendly global marketplace.

The anonymous attack to user "katsuhiras"
WARNING: This article contains mentions of violence, death threats and other similar topics. Proceed with caution.
The past day, May 30, a popular blog known as katsuhiras, who's fame in the enstars community comes from their editing abilities and icon requests, received a strange ask from an anonymous user in one of their requests.
Tumblr media
This ask felt awkward enough for the community and followers of the editing blog to start discussing the topic. As it felt pretentious and just plainly weird to make such a request in a public blog.
But this was just the beginning of it. This anonymous user, who always signed their messages with a ribbon motif which made them win the name of "ribbon anon", continued to send repeated hate and to make strange demands to katsuhiras blog. Fortunately, this topic was taken with humor at the beginning.
Regarding the censorship of the Rei Sakuma layout, Katsuhiras did fullfil the request in a funny, comical way; changing their layout more than one time to accommodate everyone's "needs".
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The issue escalated when "ribbon anon" started crossing a limit, by sending death threats, insults and just plain harassment to the admin and presumably to other blogs.
"it is 100% weird though when it's so easy to curate your own space on here. I am assuming the reason I wasn't blocked instantly is because they like the non-rei edits but if rei is such a dealbreaker, just find someone else who posts edits and art you like...?" (Katsuhiras via Tumblr) ¹
(delicate content) Some of the threats are included the following images:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
On the current time, Katsuhira's inbox is completely closed, as they've stated their will to stop this situation that even trespassed and became stalking.
"official announcement: I don’t want my inbox to keep breaking + don’t wanna be subjected to more dumbass monologues from our dear failed theatre kid ribbon, + I have a lot of requests to fill anyway so my inbox is just fully closed for now" (Katsuhiras via Tumblr) ²
They also decided to add a couple of information, like the fact that they received 38 messages from ribbon alone overnight and that despite having blocked them three times, the anon didn't decide to seize.
We send our entire support to katsuhiras and hope this situation settles down soon. On a same note, we do not condone any type of violence directed towards anyone involved in this case.

The white swan, potential scout
Because of the recent release of the "black swan" scout in the foreign servers, fans have been speculating of the possibilities of a second part, as it's well known that foreign scouts tend to have more than one part as seen in multiple occasions before.
The most important clue the fandom has encountered has to do with the black swan/white swan motifs found in the collab page. As it's stated that StarMaker Production falls under the category of black swans, meanwhile, Cosmic Production falls in the category of white swans.
Tumblr media
As for the characters that the scout may feature, it is currently unknown, however, a user ¹ has pointed out some of the possibilities.
Himeru, Kohaku — Crazy:B
2wink
Shu — Valkyrie
Jun, Ibara — Eden
The list features character that haven't gotten any limited time overseas card, which makes the chances higher for them.
Of course, nothing is set in stone, so we'll have to wait.

gilbert + dining-out headcanons
WARNING: light sexual content
MINORS/AGELESS BLOGS PLEASE DNI
Tumblr media
Reservation? All Gilbert has to do is be sighted walking up to the entrance and the restaurant staff are tripping over themselves. Maybe this is why Gilbert prefers to enter establishments through doors unknown even to the staff. No matter how you parse it it's not normal for someone to know random building layouts on this level.
Gilbert holds your chair out for you like a "gentleman", but there are one or two extended pauses before and after, as if he's not used to sincerely doting on someone. Etiquette-on-command is one thing, and certainly something he has mastered from how you've seen him behave at events. When you're the recipient though, he wants to remember how to be human again, and it's a lot more difficult than you'd think.
You're a little chilly while waiting for the food. After a minute you're shivering and readjusting your posture every few seconds. You hope Gilbert won't notice, but he's already taking off his coat for you. You immediately protest, because he'll be even colder without it. He presents a most dangerous smile and invites you over to his side where you both proceed to be relatively warm and relatively toasty together.
You try to get off his lap when the food starts arriving but he keeps you there with that usual unexpected show of strength.
"This isn't exactly what you're supposed to do at restaurants," you answer before he can even ask.
He looks at you with amusement glittering in his eye. "Is that so? That's not what I've heard." Said before practically swallowing your cheek in a sucking kiss. You have to throw your menu up to keep the server from seeing.
It's not until the servers are appending a second table to yours that you realize that Gilbert has already ordered half of the entire menu, having paused only because the lobsters in the tank summoned him to ogle their majesty.
You're bent over beside him when he asks: "What do you think their names are?"
"…?"
"Hahaha. Of course it's not like they've named themselves, but I want to know what you'd name them. I'll tell you my picks too, of course."
It's such an innocent request, but you don't entirely know what to make of it. "It feels weird naming them when they're about to be eaten."
"Is it? Humans name other humans even though they all die in the end." The way he uses the word they catches you off-guard, but he's already listing off his lobster names before you can say anything more.
The lobsters in Gilbertland all have lives and spouses and jobs. His favorite is the runty one that he believes has the grit to survive the outside of the tank. Then he proceeds to order that very lobster. "I'll eat it if you won't."
Back at the table: "I'd like to order off the secret menu,"
"I'm sorry, Sir, we don't have a secret menu."
Gilbert smiles. "Sure you do." He holds up his phone which is open to a Reddit thread. The server can no longer feign innocence and he walks away with about a decade taken off his life.
Gilbert's table manners are impeccable, to the point where you're consciously waiting for him to mess up. He never does. You, however overshoot your mouth with your fork, and Gilbert has to fix your mistakes with his tongue. Up goes the menu again.
He does not hesitate to comment on every dish. His opinion is honest, informed, and sometimes scathing. But he eats everything placed in front of him and makes sure you have ample try of it too. If there's something he especially likes, he all but stuffs it into your mouth in his eagerness to share. He asks you your opinion on the food too, and asks follow-up questions to get the most accurate picture. You start to wonder if he just likes the sound of your voice.
Gilbert seems like he's having a blast, and while you're not exactly sure how you can tell, he seems relaxed in a way that he isn't in other settings. When you point this out, he looks at you with his surprised sprite expression, then snuggles you closer on his lap and buries his face in your neck. By now the other restaurant-goers have just accepted that this is how you two sit and dine.
It's around the time that you're both sniffling from the cold that you decide it's probably a good time to ask for the check. That and all the food is comfortably inside Gilbert. There's not a scrap left. The only indication you have on the amount Gilbert tips is the fact that the server looks like he's gained +50 years to his lifespan.
You're leaving the restaurant, still sharing a coat, listening to the way Gilbert's humming entwines with the night-air, when you realize that the lobster Gilbert ordered was never delivered to the table. Also you've accidentally stolen the menu.
img src 1 2
I'm gonna cry when someone tells me "oh yeah Gilbert hates seafood" or "oh yeah seafood will kill Gilbert", but I have plausible deniability in the fact that the lobster never made it to the table. SURVIVE, LOBSTER-KUN. SURVIVE.

Far From Home (Chapter 43: Extraction)
Loki x Reader
Y/n Y/l/n never thought her past would come back to find her. After all who would look for her on Midgard? But one day in the small town of Puento Antiguo her world is turned upside down when an old friend turns up, threatening everything she has built and the people she’d fought so hard to protect. What happens when the life she left behind finally catches up with her? What happens when the old flame she thought had burned out reignites within her?
Warnings: language (sorry, Steve), eventual smut (slow burn), angst, some mentions of torture (most things won’t be detailed but anything that gets a bit more specific will be warned at the beginning of the chapter)
Tumblr media
Hand yourself over to Hydra.
“What?” My eyes widened and I struggled to not let the fear slip into my voice.
Tony rushed to explain. “Barnes is being held in this facility but we aren’t sure where.” He pulled up the schematics of the building using hologram technology.
“I don’t understand. I- I thought that Hydra was done… With Stucker and List gone I thought it was supposed to be over.”
“It appears they found someone to take their place… someone who wants you alive,” he said, showing me an image of my face, the Hydra logo beneath it, and the words: $100,000 Reward printed beneath it. “This was sent out over a hidden server I had Jarvis hack into. Someone is still calling the shots and whoever that is wants you.”
I swallowed thickly as Tony began to explain the hologram.
“I’ve had Falcon doing some recon on the outskirts of the building.” My brows furrowed as I’d never heard of Falcon before. “There is only one way into the building and it’s heavily guarded. There is one other exit but it’s on the west side of the building, surrounded by marsh and not ideal for entry. Even if we tried it, there are always at least two guards at the door. Plus, we have no idea what waits for us inside. We could terminate the mission entirely… but-.”
“That’s not an option,” Steve interrupted.
Tony sighed, dragging a hand over his face. “There are no good options here,” he hissed, glaring at Steve. “There is no vote on this, Y/n,” Tony said, turning to me. “There is only one opinion on this that matters and that’s yours. You say no and the mission is canceled. We will find some other way to get to Barnes.”
I didn’t know what to say. I could feel the lump in my throat rising, at least I hoped that’s all it was. The team was staring at me, waiting for me to say something but I could think of nothing that would be useful. My mind began spinning with all the ways in which this could go wrong. Loki would never forgive me. I could get captured and leave him here alone again. I thought back to the last mission I’d gone on and how nervous he’d been then. This was an entirely different story. If he knew of this mission he’d never let me leave the tower. Yet, I couldn’t just leave Bucky to rot with Hydra. It was bad enough I’d left him all those years ago when I thought he’d died. I refuse to leave him again.
“Y/n?” Tony said, pulling me from my thoughts. “Tell us what you’re thinking.”
“I’m not thinking anything, Tony,” I answered.
“How do you want to proceed?”
“I… I don’t know, Tony. I want to get Bucky out of there but… there has to be another way. I haven’t spent this long running from them only to be captured again.”
“We understand, kid. Whatever decision you make is okay. I already have Jarvis looking into other options.”
I nodded but I could tell there was no way out of this. There was no way this could end in a way that everyone would benefit from.
Next to Tony I could see Steve staring down at the file, looking at what Bucky had become and the familiar guilt surged through me once again.
“How long do we have?” I asked.
“According to the files Barnes is frozen and set to be woken in four days for… extraction… whatever that means.”
Extraction.
The lump I’d been forcing down turned to liquid in my throat and began to rise as I grabbed a nearby trashcan and hurled into it. Nat rushed to my side, holding my hair out of my face as I sobbed and threw up my lunch.
“Back the hell up,” Nat hissed as she gently rubbed my back, keeping the rest of the team at a distance. “Everybody out!”
Feet shuffled as the team left the room without another word and Nat turned to me.
“It’s alright, sweetheart,” she soothed as I emptied my stomach into the trash bin before wiping my mouth.
“Ms. Y/l/n,” Jarvis began. “Mr. Laufeyson is looking for you. Shall I notify him of your current status?”
“What? Puking my guts out?” I retorted. “No, Jarvis. Thank you. Just tell him I’ve asked for privacy and will return soon.”
“Of course, Ms. Y/l/n.”
“We’re going to get through this, Y/n,” Nat assured me as she pulled me into her arms. “I will help you in whatever way I can, сестра (sister).”
I smiled, though the feeling didn’t last long as Tony and Steve burst into the room.
“Y/n, I need to know your decision now.”
“W-what?”
“They’ve moved his wake time to tomorrow. They’ll be preparing him for extraction after that. We have less than 24 hours to get you to Sokovia if you choose to go but I need to know now, Y/n.”
“Tony-,” Nat began but was quickly interrupted.
“I-It specifically said extraction?” I asked, my voice cracking as I spoke.
Tony nodded. “Mean something to you?”
I nodded, the bile threatening to rise in my throat once again. “They’re going to erase his memories but in a… very inhumane way.”
“What do you mean?”
“They have a machine that shocks your brain. It’s like a thousand volts of electricity shooting through you at once. It’s not as effective as working with their hypnotherapist but it’s far quicker. They use it when they need a quick fix.” I shivered as I remembered the few times I’d been sent through it but the memories always came back.
“How do you want to proceed?”
I swallowed thickly before finding my voice. “I’ll do it… just don’t tell Loki.”
“What should we tell him?” Steve asked.
“It’s just another mission. We’d had an opportunity to find Bucky and we took it. He doesn’t need to know anything else.”
“Y/n… you understand what this mission entails, correct?”
I nodded.
“You understand there is a chance you could die on this mission?”
Steve looked up at this as I nodded. It appeared even he hadn’t realized the severity of the mission.
“I thought you said we’d have eyes on her the whole time,” Steve interrupted.
“We will but any number of things could go wrong. Truthfully… I’d hoped she’d say no to this mission but Fury wanted her to have the option.”
“He knew damn well she wouldn’t say no,” Steve muttered.
“Tony,” I interrupted before they could start an argument. “I understand what the mission entails. I owe Bucky my life and I would be a fool not to take the one chance we have to get him out of there.”
“You’re sure you can handle this, kid? After what happened last time… I’m hesitant to send you back in unless you fully understand the risks.”
“He means there is no extraction plan,” Nat explained, using the agent language we’d grown so familiar with. “You’d be in the field. On your Own. No backup and no way out.”
“I understand,” I answered. “But we have no other choice. I can’t leave Bucky in that hell-hole.”
“You sure about this, kid?” Tony asked.
“I’m not sure about much of anything anymore,” I chuckled. “But we have no other choice. I won’t lose him again.”
Everyone went quiet, their eyes turned toward the door, as I finally saw what they were staring at.
Loki.

Reblogging this just to increase visibility along with adding a few extra thoughts to this.
If Tosteur or Sunny wishes for me to delete this post then I will happily do so! Please check tags for more rambles lolol.
I mentioned previously that I had gone on an alt account to have a conversation about Zeteroxx and Fey's accusations. Our conversation got a bit heated, but one of the main things I had asked Zeteroxx about is its goal with the constant harassment of my friends. It had clearly stated that it wanted Tosteur and Sunny to 'go to therapy and they would be allowed to come back when they are different people'. There are a few issues with this: it's not up to Zeteroxx or Fey to decide if someone's changed, they have gone way beyond a reasonable and polite solution and instead started asking people to harass and block my friends without clearly stating that they just want Tosteur and Sunny to take a break just to go to therapy, Zeteroxx and Fey aren't privy to the information to see if the parties they've already started accusing are already in therapy or if they have looked into therapy, and also some kids online don't really get to make the call that someone 'needs therapy'. I personally think therapy is beneficial to everyone but trying to diagnose someone mentally unwell(or whatever they are trying to convey by their accusations) as someone who is not a trained professional can be quite damaging.
Also, while Zeteroxx or Fey are now deliberately trying to sabotage Tosteur and Sunny's relationships it kinda goes beyond 'spreading the word'. It is harassment. Not to mention making entire block lists of people who side with the two accused and posting it as a threat to add more people or using the overhanging threat of yourselves blocking them. At this point you are trying to scare people into siding with you.
This has already been brought up. But it's not up to Fey to decide if people are allowed to be a certain person or align with a certain identity. Fey left Tosteur's server because they got into a disagreement with Sunny. Fey made a comment saying that someone they used to know likely was lying about their sexuality because they were a bad person and Sunny called Fey out saying that Fey doesn't get to make those accusations because that is invalidating part of someone's identity. Fey said 'i know when im not wanted' and then left the server with Zeteroxx. Two weeks later the hate posts started coming up. Now, Fey is trying to invalidate Sunny's identity saying that they won't call them the name Sunny because 'Sunny' is a fictive and not the person fronting. Plus the constant use of wrong pronouns when on the server and now after they've left.
I'm not saying anyone involved was blameless. Multiple people have made mistakes in this situation, including myself. But there's a clear difference between people who are using popular Omori creators to constantly spread their hate and people who are trying to just take the hate. Tosteur hasn't lashed back or done anything to aggravate any of you guys after that situation! Why do you feel the need to be lurking on the page of the guy you blocked and screenshot his posts just to post a picture to your following and encourage people to drive Tosteur off the platform??? That's not a decent-person thing to do???
Putting harder to read things below the 'read more'. This mentions Zeteroxx's accusations against myself and a few other people regarding their mental state when they were on the server and mentions of taking ones life. Please proceed with caution.
When I tried to confront Zeteroxx on my alt account it accused me of 'making it almost commit' along with hurling those accusations to the other accused and people in that server. I do not plan on invalidating it's feelings but it is extremely important to make some points clear.
First of all, after breaking the rules on its first day, I offered to help Zeteroxx in DMs so it would not continue breaking the rules on the server(spoiler alert: it kept breaking the rules on the server). My thought process in offering to help it is that I was the oldest person on the server and I thought that the responsibility should naturally fall to me to make sure that Zeteroxx was okay and other people weren't being made uncomfortable. A few days into talking to Zeteroxx in DMs I realized that I truly had no clue what I was doing and started feeling more and more uncomfortable as I felt my own mental health taking a toll so I told Zeter that I didn't feel comfortable DMing it anymore and offered different online resources that would have people better suited and trained to help people. I also offered to help it find alternate resources if the current ones did not work.
Zeteroxx told me that those kinds of resources just don't really work for it and then proceeded to continue ruminating on the server. At that point I only kept my conversations with it public and did not respond anytime it attempted to DM me.
My next point is that while several people can influence a choice, no human can truly make anyone commit. It sounds cruel to say that, but my point is that Zeteroxx is placing all of the blame for its mental health onto other people very publicly in a way to hurt them. It hurts a lot to have an accusation like that made against you and while I understand that it may be upset with Sunny or I, it's not necessarily correct or fair to place us as the pure blame. There are a lot of factors that tie into decisions that impactful, and for someone to be held as the sole reason can take a large mental toll.
Also, its ideation of committing was brought up on its first day in the server. Zeteroxx has been blaming Tosteur and other server members for everyone excluding it and ignoring it, but there were no such conversations like that. Likely, the two reasons people wouldn't always respond to Zeteroxx's message is because 1) most of the server is in an entirely different time zone and could be in school or sleeping when the message was sent or 2) people just didn't know how to connect with Zeteroxx and felt uncomfortable when being in a conversation when the other party started spiraling. There was no consensus for everyone to ignore specific members of the server, people are just allowed to have conversations with who they wish. And we aren't going to make anyone have conversations with someone either.
I apologize if this comes across as harsh, but it was of my opinion that it would be best to be blunt about my thoughts on this subject because this situation has hurt multiple people. And even though the people accused keep trying to ignore and just let Zeteroxx and Fey be angry, the hate posts haven't necessarily been going away.
Making this post because I am so incredibly tired of all this bullshit, with all the stress me and my friend went through.
TW Drama
It's been almost two months, and i've been isolated, under the pretext that I'm a harasser and that I've manipulated and bullied two former members of my server.
My friend already clarified this on his response post on his now inactive alt, but this is not true. I have almost never talked to Zeteroxx in DMS, and when I did, it was me checking if it was okay after it felt bad after a roleplay session. On the server, i've always been respectful. All I did was reminding it and Fey to respect the rules, which they were both constantly breaking. Venting, bringing out dramas, constantly despite my warnings. I have tried to be understanding, and most of the time I would just brush off their behaviour even when it made several members uncomfortable. Venting is not allowed on this server, and while I understand they'd want a safe space to vent to, it shouldn't have been here. People from the server did want to help it by making a venting group. People were not harassing Zeteroxx.
It got upset when Theoku stated he felt uncomfortable at the idea of Zeteroxx seeing his content. That's it.
Fey did have disagreements with members of the server but again, it was always respectful, and members were always understanding of Fey's past experiences. Their disagreements with Theoku were resolved in DMS and were not heated. At all. Not in any way was it harassment. Theoku had always been trying to be respectful as well.
And again, the proshipper allegations are baseless. Just because I drew my Basil|Stranger character wearing a crop top and flirting with Sunny. They're both 17, and even then, there was nothing sexual about this. It is just a teenager wearing a crop top. What is wrong with you people. And since it is now used as Fey's main argument against us, I find it concerning. They seem to care way more about a drawing they don't like than the actual person who has been hurt.
It is valid from Zeteroxx not to feel good after someone clearly said they don't like it, in a moment where it was in a very bad headspace and struggling. But I do condemn the constant harassment from their side.  The amount of posts they've been making on us and telling my mutuals and friends to block me is harassment. I have received asks that were clearly the results of those posts. And talking to the artists I've interacted with to "warn them about us", making a bunch of call out posts is a hate campaign. Fey, what you're doing is harassment, and it's not helping anyone. All it's doing is hurting every party involved. I am not happy about losing mutuals, potential friends. I am not happy about seeing all the hard work I've put on this blog crumble.
Fey was the one who had been horribly disrespectful, misgendering Theoku and using the wrong name despite his constant reminders; while insisting on using the right pronouns for you, which we had been doing since the beginning. This is in no way okay.
Explicitly refusing to use the name that Theoku gave them because “it’s clearly the host talking, not Sunny” despite Theoku clearly stating it is his name everywhere including on discord is disgusting.
I invite you to look at the posts Fey had been making "exposing us", as well as Theoku's response on his alt account ( @theokusobjection ) but you can clearly see that no significant proof was formulated that would prove us guilty of such things.
They have been accusing us while misusing extremely serious and sensitive language, with again, no concrete proof. I am not happy about the image they are painting of us, it has been impacting our mental healths very badly.
And regarding this old friend again, this should've stayed a private matter. I am deeply hurt by this as well as it was a very painful and traumatic friendship fallout. I had been avoiding this person and moving on with life, and that helped me recover from all of this, yet here we are.
I stayed silent for so long to protect myself, not to feed the drama, but I cannot take this anymore.
