I'm fucking mad at myself for my lack of certain skills restricting me from doing some creative projects that I really want to do

For example, a RWRB Musical

I have so many ideas for it!!! What the motifs are, where the songs are placed, how the stage and sets will work, what melodic patterns songs should have, what structure and style each song should be in

The problem is I don't fucking know how to write songs!!!! 😭

I guess I can learn but I don't know where to start, plus right now this is just a scattered collection of random ideas I don't know if I can get it anywhere at all

Anyway here's me rambling on ideas on a song for Firstprince hookups last Thursday while on my way home for five minutes to show how many thoughts I have regarding this

At least your boss was nice, he said that you could take a leave for as long as you wished, until you were back in better health. Your faith in humanity was instantly restored by his mere words; you felt like a lost broken soul, listless and lethargic with rhinitis.

It was an enigma how you caught whatever the fuck this was; you couldn't eat, you couldn't work, you couldn't stay awake for long. And mostly, everyone seemed like an incompetent pest to you, your work was being handled by your peers while you weren't in motion, and they still sent you emails with their projects attached to help you keep track of it and you don't want to be rude, but whatever they did felt incomplete, nothing was done correctly; you couldn't complain though, they were doing— your work.

You were impeaching your every decision, wondering how the hell you caught this sickness, you were never sick! But, you can't help it now, could you?

So when Jenna, your close confidant bought a dating simulator game for you, you looked at her with a questioning glance,

did you look like someone who would live in a fictional world and enjoy being delusional?

Alas, you were, you didn't know it, but you discovered it.

You had just started this seventeen simulator game, and you didn't really understand why it was named seventeen when there were only thirteen choices, but you didn't care. The visuals of this game were immaculate, attractive, captivating and all the men were— gorgeous to say the least; you wished at least one of them could come to life so that you can seduce him and then flex on all your friends—

It wasn't real life though — or so you thought ;)

You chose the man you found prettiest in the game and skipped all the rules, thinking that you will figure them out once you started playing, but then a screen of consent shot up.

Weird, the way they typed was weird but you couldn't care nonetheless you were so near to start the game that it didn't matter and soon you started your story.

Meraki was a beautiful place, covered with a vast green expanse you got a drone view from the video of the game; it was bright and very similar to the real world just somehow more magical. Cusps of silver lined the numerous buildings you saw in the video, golden light and pixie dust shimmered all across through the different towns you were shown.

Aurum, was a city of gold; the castle of the Choi family rested pompously in the middle of the city, surrounded by a beautiful lake where tons of swans swam, numerous statues of the royal families, made of pure gold were displayed in the different plazas, unnamed flowers and plants were grown on the sides as even the extinct animals came into your view.

If Aurum was the city of gold, Elixir was most definitely a city of jewels; the pupil there resembled humans the most with multicolor eyes, all adorning a bracelet of ammonites, not as regal as Aurum, this city still put any place you had seen in shame. Silver flowers with scenic nature, you could give up earth to live at some place like this.

The two main cities were displayed to you as a screen of "the other places will open at level 5" popped up at your screen.

Strangely you were intoxicated by the game and soon it was 2 p.m. but, levelling up was hard and just as you fell asleep, you had ascended to level 5.

You never expected your realities to shift when you woke up from your nap, but it was and even if you were terrified and anxious, even if your breathing was ragged when you saw yourself in Meraki and even if you cried when you saw the scroll which bound you to Meraki, you got up to ace it. RAMPAGE Wraps Up their Hot Summer in Siquijor at the Splash Up! 2025 Summer Fair

Wrapping up their hot summer gig as guest performers at the Splash Up! 11/11 Summer Fair in Siquijor, in The Philippines, RAMPAGE has finally had the time to sit down and cool off from their busy schedules between dreadful overseas flights and hectic practice sessions.

Over the past few months, the band has been preparing for their comeback with seven brand new songs, which is rumored to feature a fellow HYH artist in the bonus track. They gave us an exclusive preview of one of the songs, “Here We Go Again”, during their set at the Summer Fair on April 27th.

“Obviously we had to promote,” the guitarist, Mylo explains with a laugh, “We thought that song would be the most appropriate from the track list in the next EP for the summer vibes cause of the melody.”

The song has an upbeat tempo and a catchy rhythm, but its lyrics are anything but joyful. After Reira’s emotional performance, the preview had fans speculating the next EP’s concept surrounded similar feelings to heartbreak.

The members shared knowing glances before leader Jack struggles to address the fans’ theories. “Well… it’s difficult to determine what the whole album will look like from one song...”

“It’ll definitely focus more on love, but not in a way the fans may expect.” Reira hints, “It’ll make more sense once the album name and the highlight medley are revealed.”

Mylo adds, “Either way, we hope our listeners will be able to relate to one or two of the tracks once they’re released.”

RAMPAGE at Splash Up! 2025, Siquijor on April 27, 2025

The band definitely garnered more attention after their performance in the Philippines, with a gain in public interest for their upcoming music and the group as a whole.

“It was fun!” Their bassist Alyx recalls their performance at the festival, and the members shared the same sentiments. “It was our first performance outside our usual promotions and the water fights were definitely something new. It was a nice way to engage with the fans…. And a great way to cool off from the summer heat.”

“And the audience was super cute!” Reira adds, smiling as she explains the interactions with the crowd, “they kept aiming for me with their water guns, it was kind hard to sing at some point— but it was fun nonetheless.”

“Honestly we were a little skeptical when we were first invited, but our directors pushed us to do it.” The leader admits, “it’s thanks to them— and to the 11/11 team of course. We’re honoured to have been able to perform at their anniversary celebration.”

As RAMPAGE are still rookies in the industry with only a few months after their debut in January earlier this year, they haven’t had many chances to perform at other events just yet, Splash Up! 2025 being their first one. But they remain hopeful and they look forward to future opportunities and more experiences like this one.

“We were able to watch the other artists perform too— Meraki and Liryko were a couple favorites. The day two performers, Cerise, Sheol and Hail were fun to watch too.”

With their love of music, the band was happy to enjoy watching their fellow musicians show off their craft.

“We’re hoping for collaborations with the other artists,” Mylo half-jokes, “maybe on some solo projects or a few tracks in the future would be nice.”

With no signs of slowing down, the group is strapped in for their comeback promotions, finalising the project very soon and they hope fans look forward to what they have in store.

2, do you read/reread your own fics?

Sometimes. Mostly Jornos to get back into it again but its rare. And when I do, I realise that they're waaaaaaay better than I thought lol. Treat spiders the way you want to be treated was actually a surprise to me. I didn't think it was very good but was pleasantly surprised.

5, what's a fic idea you've had but will never write?

Okay. So this is kind of a fic idea for a fic that's not mine.

It's actually this idea for awesome-slime-lover we're family au where Tommy is a borrower adopted by royal sbi that don't really want him. And they have actually written a part 2 but I had this idea where it could time skip and basically sbi have come to accept tinies finally, unknowingly though because they take all their hate out on Tommy. And Tommy just tries to push through and be the perfect child, despite knowing he'll never be accepted. And basically something happens were sbi are called away and Tommy manages to be put in charge of the harvest, which has been terrible for years and actually improves it, yeilding the best crops in decades. Of course when sbi return they don't know it was tommy and wanna know who did such an amazing job, and when Tommy tries to tell them, they basically laugh in his face and ya know, put him down etc etc. And it continues on with guilty sbi, tommy getting kidnapped by the enemy as a revenge act or something and sbi saving him. I have literally imagined full blown scenes in my head but will never write it purely because its not my fic

OooO thats a hard one. Hmmmmmmm Either My monster to slay or that fic I haven't posted yet (the very first one I started writing). I think either of those would be really cool to see as a movie!

Mmmmm I kinda just look at how long the chapter is, where a scene is and where the next scene starts and usually have a scene change a signal to the end of a chapter with a heavy hitting line. I love it when the last line hits hard. Sticks in the mind better :3

Probably that first fic. It's the first fic I tried writing after 5 years of no writing so I feel I've improved a lot since getting back into it, and I really really love it! Yet I don't wanna change it if I have to ya know? It's kind of my baby now lol.

i'm working on more worldbuilding stuff and choosing college majors for everyone as well as outlining the important parts of each story. but also randomly deciding to make the town's college ( the supes prestigious one ) originally a school founded back in the days as an all boys school for the humans and a magic school for le magic users.

trying to figure out what exactly i want the shape of this magic university to take and how in depth i need it to be within our story and whether or not i leave enough information for it to be open ended for additions in the future.

While I'm not in the fandom, I'm still a fan, which means I follow some people to keep up, and I'm interested in what Nick and Taylor will do next.

The thing here is that there's a group within Twitter fandom that's demanding more from Nicholas. And while they're aware of his need to promote two more projects, him signing books in LA and Milan when possible, leaving Taylor on his TikTok following list*, it's not enough.

Personally, most of these stans are being dramatic because they're not getting more. So, instead of being rational, they start to “joke around” (I'll come back to this later)** by saying Nick doesn't care, he moved on, he doesn't want to be part of a sequel, Taylor and him are not friends, and they bring up his personal life and socmed activity.

A part of me wants to think these people are very young and incredibly online, so they base everything around it, ignoring real-life interactions during their outbursts. Another part of me thinks they're shippers, which eventually ends up being problematic because they see their interactions through that lens. If they don't interact, they hate each other, they are just co-workers, or something happened between them. If they interact, they're besties, they love each other, or they are something else. Like, on socmed, there's no winning for them. It's intense. You cannot see all of that, read some nasty comments, and then say, “I miss when Nick was more active here.” Like, it's obvious why he doesn't want to be active.

I sent you an ask weeks ago about parasocial relationships, and I think these things go along those lines: Most of these people think they know them, they understand their reasoning, and while we do have snippets of their personalities, we don't know them. We're not their friends, and we cannot justify bullying and nasty comments as “it's just a joke, people take things too seriously” because you think it's nice to destroy someone else's work just because you don't get your Instagram likes.

I even read “Nicholas owes us more pictures and content. It's the least he can do.” And he did, for a few days. But he's an actor — he'll have more gigs and eventually RWRB will be another project dear to him. And so for Taylor. And Taylor is signing all these books and going to these events because can go, and most importantly, it was his first leading role. He's extremely proud of the project and of him as an actor. And he'll also move on eventually.

What's more annoying is that we're all aware of a sequel project, and just because Nick is not talking about it any more, they go, “He won't do it because he hates it/now he's too big,” not noticing that they're also implying that Taylor is “less important,” which he isn't. Matthew already said that if Taylor and/or Nick aren't on board, there won't be a sequel, but hardcore fans decide to ignore that part. Nick has never been part of a project this big that actually can have a decent sequel, so there's a big chance of him being part of it. He does care.

I think some people are just very dramatic, and they're not responsible about what they write. So, based on that, it's best to curate your experience as much as possible and recognize problematic accounts/takes on people immediately. Otherwise, it won't be enjoyable.

*I think Nick has been doing some cleaning (I think it's common for him, said by people who have followed him for a while) and he's working on more projects with awarded actors. I think that Taylor has become a good friend of his within the industry, which is good. They've also said Nick's socmed activity is very random and to not be taken seriously because he does a lot of random stuff, but then again, people ignore that.

**Usually these replies come when people start to point out that their comments are wrong, cross boundaries, etc. It's like a way to deflect. But you can tell that it's not really a joke if it's repetitive, which is what's happening right now.

I truthfully don't have much to add. Your points are absolutely spot on, and you organized it very clearly. Thank you for this.

I think I'll just one thing, I was talking to @pippin-katz about this whole rivalry issue, and they said the problem is these people want certain things from the boys, and when they don't get it, they become these violent, malicious comments.

We as fans are not in a position to dictate how they should live their lives. Frankly we're not in any position to dictate people how to live their lives, no one but our own. People need to realize this.

Some ideas that I had for Artist!Druig at some point while writing Meraki (because why not?):

Canon:

Druig was intrigued by art because of the artifacts that Makkari would show him

He started wanting to create art in the Han Dynasty in China (where paper making was thought to have originated)

He would draw pictures of people’s day to day life 

The other Eternals didn’t know about this hobby, but Makkari did! (and she tried to take peaks at his sketches often) 

It was only after Tenochilitan when he tried to draw the other Eternals (because he did miss them, but didn’t want to see them); He always struggled drawing Makkari since he never thought that he could capture her well 

He normally kept his drawings away from the humans of the commune 

But then a kid got curious and stumbled into Druig’s quarters and saw the drawing of Makkari

Druig caught the kid and let them off with a warning after the kid told Druig that his picture of Makkari was pretty 

Modern College AU

Druig is looking for a model for his art assignment; 

He hates this assignment because he hates having to figure out limbs and positioning and needs an actual model and can’t just think of how it would work in his mind 

Sees Makkari running => is in absolute awe of her

He asks her to be his model for the project and she agrees

Romance ensues 

Flower Shop AU (note: this was during my first renditions of Olive Tree Florist)

Druig works at Thena’s flower shop part time to support himself while he’s trying to make it as an artist

In walks Makkari, who is Gil’s newest employee and who is currently studying for a Masters in art history (or something similar)

the two of them hit it off immediately, so Druig is incredibly smitten 

They get close enough where Druig is showing her some of his artwork

Makkari absolutely adores Druig’s art and even asks to see not only his finished paintings, but also his sketchbook  

Makkari asks Druig about the little doodles, which he tries to play off, but in a tug-and-pull type of situation, it comes out that Druig was aware of Makkari’s existence, but Makkari was also aware of Druig’s existence (because he would always paint/sketch and she was able to see him through his windows on her runs)

With Makkari as his muse, Druig is able to create his breakout piece that launch es him into the art world

Art Thief AU

Druig is a proclaimed artist 

Makkari is an infamous art thief who is always particularly interested in Druig’s work 

She sends out notice cards after she steals what she wants, but after some time the art will be back safe and sound 

This confuses the public because this happens with every work that Makkari steals   

in reality, Druig and Makkari are in on it together, because Druig’s work gets more publicity whenever Makkari steals his work and Makkari enjoys the thrill of it all

The Crow Strider AU :: This is a homestuck fanventure created by @meraki-sunset. I assisted with editing of the dialog and scenes. The comic is finished, with a epilogue coming soon. I am currently working on a full comic dub.

I’m glad you like it!  Gameplay note: all of the Gen 2 names come from a custom randomizer txt I compiled from mostly Hebrew and ancient Babylonian names.  Some more Greek-era names like “Gaia” snuck in there because I couldn’t bear the thought of waiting two generations for them to start showing up.  The randomizer spits out three names for each sex each time, and I pick the name I think the parents would be most likely to pick themselves. 

Linguistics note: because Hebrew, the pronunciations of a few of the Gen 1 Sims may not be what you think they are: “lay-ha-VEEM” “toe-VYE-ahh” and “no-ell.”

STARTUPS AND MODEL

If you can't already do it, the best way to get to know good hackers. Running a business is so much more. We had general ideas about things we wanted to get staffed up as soon as this thought occurred to me, a whole bunch of other things fell into place. And not only will they give you this advice for free, just by installing the relevant hardware. But I don't think it takes years to learn how to hack than get an MBA. Hard, but doable. Buying larval startups solves that problem for them: the acquirer doesn't need anyway. If I remember correctly, the most successful startup founders have had to struggle against them.

When you use a Web-based application, your data will be safer. Not politically, of course, but probably as close to the truth to treat stuff as worthless. In outline, it was Stripe. The most interesting subset may be those in their early twenties get into debt, because their expenses grow even faster than the salary that seemed so high when they left school. But they were still only about a tenth of your time on that. And yet a lot of people at first, for the company to exist, you have to make something people want, and to want to do it in a bank? What novice founders don't get is what insanely great translates to in a larval startup.

Professional means doing good work, not elevators and glass walls. He thought perhaps he needed a little dose of sociopath-ness. You just try to get upwind of their opponents. What makes startups different is that usually it doesn't. One reason founders resist describing their projects concisely is that, at this point attempted certain gambits which I will not describe in detail, except to remind readers that the word angel is a metaphor. The investors got a lot more than you spend, the easier it is to do things that don't scale that we call pulling a Meraki. They felt under pressure to hire more, because we wanted to improve, but if we knew how we would have really liked to add to HTML and HTTP. With the bizarre consequence that high school students now had to write in school is to be consciously aware of this pattern is for those who naively discard part of it. It was not just a series of slides built by marketing people. Mostly because they're optimistic by nature. Unconsciously, everyone expects a startup to write desktop software, because writing applications for them seemed an attainable goal to larval startups. Starting a startup is grim and hard than have founders go into it expecting it to be fun? You can write and launch a product with even fewer people and even less money.1 When we started our startup, I think, is that monstrous new chemicals, hormones, are now coursing through their bloodstream and messing up everything. And a program that attacked the servers themselves. Of course I wanted to make more than you spend, the easier it becomes to start a new channel. Being able to release software: the last thing you changed. Whether they like it or not, because there are no versions. You could have some other kind of client.

Microsoft's original plan was to make money. There is nothing more important than understanding your business.2 For example, many startups in America begin in places where it's not really legal to run a business. If this were true, but that's only the immediate cause. It can get you factories for building things designed elsewhere. We did go fast, but we thought very carefully before we released software onto those servers. And more to the point where your group attaches to the tree. All other things being equal, a society prospers in proportion to an estimate of your company's value that you'd both agreed upon. So by this point you've been riding on a subway line for twenty years, and then buy it, as two separate steps. So the acquisition came to a screeching halt while we tried to sort this out. Once you cross over into obsessive.

That will change the balance of power between generations. For hardware startups there's a variant of doing things that don't scale that we call pulling a Meraki. Maybe this is as it should be. Credentials are a step beyond bribery and influence. If someone broke into the clothing retailer's servers, it will be better for the company, after giving the investors a brief tutorial on how to administer the servers themselves should find them very well defended. Sometimes, just like a river, you run up against a blank wall. When startups need less money, investors have less power over them. And if that is the future. When you're young, you should get new releases without paying extra, or doing any work, or possibly even knowing about it.

You can retroactively describe any made-up idea as an idea where the recipe: someone guessed that there is undeniably a grim satisfaction in hunting down certain sorts of bugs. Some who read it ever wished it longer. At two years investigating it.
