JAKE BAKER (PART 1 vocalist): "PART 1 was formed in the summer of 1980. We were all at school together and following the punk explosion several years earlier. I just loved the music and general attitude and really wanted do something creative... There was a few bands in the beginning but the most memorable one was probably "Airfix" which i suppose became the foundation for PART 1. We never really aimed at a particular sound, it just kind of evolved from the noise we were making with Airfix? We each had our own influences too; Mark loved guitar sound of THE BANSHEES, Chris liked PiL and liked to experiment with his bass guitar, and Bob was into early GENESIS, where as i was listening to bands like DISCHARGE! It was quite an eclectic mix really but it worked!"

i wanna go to punk shows so bad unfortunately

1. i go to art college in sburb vill, if there is a liminal space game where you are lost in endless suburbs its this fuckin town, and surprise surprise i cannot seem to find any shows in walkable distance (i dont have a car or any mode of transport)

2. i have health problems and autism, i have sensory issues but also troubles breathing, i cannot stand for long period of time and i am incredibly easily injured but I dont appear physically disabled at all, i dont even have the funds to get a cane</3

so alas, punkshows are entirely inaccessible for me, as far as i know </3

What a show?! Before moving to #seattlewa area the guys put together a show to say goodbye. It featured Amolador, Gutbomb / Copkiller, Disrepair and (a secret band) From This Day Forward. This time Disrepair hit us even harder with the crushing reality of the RAW D-BEAT assault! It was also the last time @disrepair_punk played D.P.M. in #lincolnnebraska (until I come visit).

Thank you so much for performing during my going away party! I miss you!
