Pyke is a star, blazing through space, flashy, sharp, and volatile. Rett is dark matter, holding the whole world together in the background in mostly unnoticed and unknown ways, essential for the balance and stability of the universe, something heavy and grounding.

a lot of these hcs probably come from fics I've read so if you recognize it... uh. yeah.

PYKE

• wavy hair that constantly swirls and spirals, it has little star-like dots in it and radiates heat

• EARRINGS. due to the andy no-earring statement (that i havent seen yet) i've come to a sort of compromise... rett gifted (made? probably) pyke a set of earrings a little after they met. Pyke has never worn earrings and didn't really like how they felt previously, but accepted and wore them anyways bc. Rett gifted them! Rett never learned of this distaste until the equivalent of a year later. But, Pyke still wears them because theyre special to him and he can't imagine NOT wearing them now!

• dotted with light, glittery, star-like freckles everywhere. most people don't notice them 'til they really look at his face or arms (speaking from experience)

• boots made by Rett. they're lightweight but still add a kick in his kicks if ykwim! (i also did this because i cannot draw his og boots for the life of me!)

• a glittery hairtie that I imagine Pixel gave him because "how do you fight with that long hair whipping around?!" he rarely uses it because he usually never tames nor cares for his hair, but he keeps it on his person just for the sake of it.

• rbf but it just looks like hes doing a model face

• "pike" keychain Pixel gave him around his belt loop! atp, if you asked him where he got a lot of the stuff hes wearing he'd say most of them were gifts!

• scars from prison (that i forgot to add) bc they didnt have proper medicine or any sort of care there

RETT

• his hair looks scraggly but its actually kinda soft! theres usually no tangles because Pyke runs his hands through it so often

• little star stud earrings to (kinda) match with Pyke

• moles galore. he has moles everywhere. he remembers very specifically having a mole just above his right brow

• loads of scars from the battlefield that cause him to miss patches of hair (ex. the scar on his lip causing an indent on his beard, the scar on his arm taking a chunk of his arm hair, etc.)

• always has his shirt (jumpsuit?) zipped down because it's especially easy to overheat with a solari always around

• massive rbf. with that fucking canon he lugs around people always assume theyre about to get blasted. he never understands why he gets nasty looks! but it worked real well on scaring ziggy into not spending all their notes for the first couple months

• his hand his extreeeemmeeely calloused due to working 24/7

• IDFK why hes holding a wrench. don't ask me. do average men just hold wrenches? probably

• not a headcanon but someone tell me if Rett looks too dull or he just happened to be standing next to Pyke and in a yellow background... bc honestly idk how else to add vibrancy to this man without it look ridunkulous.

• matching bracelets with rings that are tightened to the MAX, just so they don't bother them during battles and such. of course, they were made by Rett. sum ppl presume them to be wedding rings but ofc not... its on the middle finger... psshhh...
