Sir, it is almost 4am!
Also, no, you can't see what I wrote him first because I'm embarrassed. Don't worry about it. It was nice. ❤️

It's racist, my dear, to be blunt. People come from outside, they think we're all witches and druids. For God's sake, child, you walked into a piece of string!

Making a whole post about this because it vexes me so but I have SO many questions about Addison. Like okay sure, town owned by evil rich dude who sics a monster on them whenever he sees fit, yeah I get that part. But who actually lives In The Town? Clearly people do, what with the men in the tavern and everything. Are they all part of the Larson clan? Yellow said they all looked related, and its never really clear just how much of his family Larson brought to Addison (we know for sure it was his wife and children, but there could have been siblings, in laws, or other relatives involved) The man that talked to Arthur said he was just passing through, but he sounded like he had been there awhile. So is the town primarily made up of the Larsons' extended family and nosy people looking into the weird shit happening there? Maybe some travelers that pass through and mind their own business? Clearly people know about Addison from somewhere, but where? It doesnt seem like a place that would end up on a travel brochure, so is it just through rumors of weird stuff happening? Were visitors attempting to buy the mines an actual frequent issue, or was Larson making that up?
Are there still people unrelated to the Larsons left over from its mining days that just decided to stay/didn't get killed? Are there families descended from them that are still adding to the town population? Whats more, what do they think about living there? Are they just desensitized to the creature in the mines and the immortal dude that runs the town? If there are children born in the Addison, is that kinda just something they're used to?
How does the town even function? The bar is the only business we see, but are there other ones? Are there stores, or do the non-Larson citizens just grow their own food and raise their own livestock? We know that they hunt, but is it for sport or for survival? I doubt Larson provides for any of them because why the fuck would he, but even he has to eat somehow. Does he get all his food delivered from nearby towns, or does the town itself have those food sources?
Are the people who live there even allowed to leave when they want, with the risk of them telling everyone about what happens there? Are they picked off as sacrifices overtime, or are they promised safety if they keep their mouths shut? Or are all of them cultists in their own right, devoting themselves to the same powers Larson does?
Was the woman Arthur heard someone who lived in the town, someone who came poking around Addison, or someone else entirely? Does secrecy even matter, what with the ties that Larson probably has?
When people do end up there (by chance or by choice, like the man said), were there any that willingly stayed and made a life there despite all the weird shit happening? Are all the people that ended up there simply trapped against their will and forced to make the best of their situation? Has anyone besides Arthur ever actually escaped Addison once they found the truth? Who would believe them if they did?
Just. What the FUCK is up with Addison dude. I need so much more information.

The state of the league of villains during act 3 is so sad man. Compress literally gave his ass for the league, got arrested and nobody gaf. Twice’s demise amounted to nothing, nobody cared. The whole discrimination arc Spinner was involved in was a mess. Suddenly Hori decided he cared about realism in his story so Toga dropped like a fly from a simple blood transfusion. Dabi is forced to sit and listen to Endeavor whine and yap about how sad he is about being an abusive pos, all the while nobody actually cares and he never got any real repercussions besides his family being (justifyingly) mean to him. Shigaraki was sidelined for a boring villain and was stripped off all his autonomy and agency.

Timeline anon got me thinking...
How long, vaguely, have the Clans existed? And how long have they been known/being studied/being protected by humans?
The Clans have existed for as long as they have, and humans have known about them for as long as they've known about them.

The Professor Layton series is so fascinating because you’ve got this silly lil puzzle game with some silly little characters who have the most insane trauma happen to them, but they just never speak of it again?
Like, there’s no place for it in the narrative of the games, it would be weird for them to bring up the trauma of previous games in other games (especially since a lot of people only play one or play them out of order), but also there’s just so much storytelling potential there that is wasted. And truly it keeps me up at night.

do you know PricklyAlpaca on youtube / instagram? they just posted a video where they designed a bunch of cursed circus performers which i thought you might like :) https://youtu.be/WIlfk10YHlE?si=m62T8GCM67gJCMwQ
you didn’t know this so I can’t fault you for it but I feel bad because people send me clown stuff all the time and it’s SO SWEET that people, especially strangers, see things and think of me, but I actually kind of hate edgy clowns 🙈 I’m actually kinda picky about what “clowncore” stuff I like and it’s so frustrating that everything from horror clowns to birthday clowns falls under it even though they’re totally different. If there’s blood or knives or smeared makeup I want that as far away from my clowns as possible. it’s not even that I don’t like horror!! I just don’t want clowns in my horror. clowns should be silly and cheer people up :o)
but it’s not just edgy clowns I’m also not really into like, heavily ornamented lacy beaded embroidered “clowns”. They’re pretty, but they’re barely clowns to me. I tend to like ones that look more like clown plushies made for babies. or troll dolls. or muppets.
like look at these lil guys

my current vibes-based deltarune theory is that we aren’t kris’ soul like literally. we were another human’s soul, the one you design at the beginning of chapter one, or at least we were meant to be. but something happened and now we’re with kris. and they hate it.
#deltarune#feel free to find proof for or against like this is purely vibes based atm and not fully thought out At All.#ps: in one of the final chapters like. the penultimate one maybe. we’ll come across what remains of the human we made in either some kind o#foreshadowing of what will happen to kris without a human soul or as a further hint at the story and what the knight’s plan has been#and half of us will forget that that’s who we made lmao.#no but for real i probably shouldn’t have posted this yet i haven’t figured out what i’m pulling this theory from even lol#like that’s why we can still name our save file even if we play as a named character. we control kris because their thoughts and goals don’#match with ours because we literally aren’t them they have their own unique will separate from ours but they do still need a human soul#obviously even if we haven’t been told outright what it does for them aside from being able to enter a dark world. it does look harder and#more painful to move about without a soul ngl.#but the big element i’m missing is what happened to kris’ soul? why/who removed it? where did they get us? did they get us or were we force#onto them by somebody else? did they remove their own soul like they rip us out of them all the time or did somebody take it from them?#do they want their soul back?#these are the questions i should have answered before posting this but it would require me to replay the chapters again with a theory hat o#and i’m too casual for that lmao.#like maybe kris removed their soul when they were younger to try and have a monster soul like. at the same time they were wearing monster#horns. that’s a fun angsty plot but it’s more textually backed that the soul was removed shortly after susie moved to town#considering she’s never noticed kris to be different. and the sleeping in and withdrawn-ness could either have started because kris had#no soul or because kris had just gotten a new soul and it’s hard to adjust idk i’m just spitballing here.#if i’m right though and kris’ soul does appear in later chapters i Will be reblogging fanart or the little hearts making out sloppy style

although I enjoyed season2 I missed the unionisation themes that were being set up at the end of the first season. lumon presenting a history of conflict between departments to incite separation, MDR and O&D choosing to bridge the gap of distance anyway. The unfinished map Petey made suggesting that the severed floor was larger than they initially comprehended, the anti-severance protest groups outside of lumon fighting for workers' rights. we had a brief hint of that at the start of the season with lumon assimilating the MDR uprising into its incentivisation methods, the implication of lumon as an international enterprise with the new characters that were very quickly dropped and forgotten about, and it was interesting to see the background contextualisation of lumon's industry being propagated by child labour (especially considering the severance procedure in effect makes the adult innies like children, tabula rasa innocents).
but the majority of the characters became incredibly isolated this season anyway and the show became less of a satire of workspaces and more about the way severance as a procedure complicated their romantic relationships. I was kind of hoping this season would lean into some more consequences with regards to petey's legacy in mark's mind post reintegration, and also the mapping out and unionising of other isolated departments on the severed floor beyond the oddity of mammalians nurturable.
