Inside a spirit so aggressive and vile that it incites anger and hatred even in other machine spirits around. A cogitator skull controlled blast door to the hangar tried to crush an unsuspecting tech priest last cycle - just out of spite. It is of utmost importance to placate this spirit every night, acolytes, by lighting the 43 candles and playing the recommended data-psalms, lest our other gear joins the revolt. Our journey aboard this ship will be long. Let us make it comfortable for this sublime machine. May the spirit direct all of its anger at our foes when the time for battle has come!
Day 5 - One arm assembled! I had a lot of fun playing around with the posing… You can probably tell from the photos. 😅 Anyways, I’m really happy with the results so far! The thunderstrike gauntlet was a good choice!
Once again I can’t glue everything together just yet. Once I’m done with the instruction manual there will still be quite some steps left. Usually things like that easily stress me out, but right now it all feels manageable.

I did a head swap on the pilot, since I wanted to highlight the affiliation with the Mechanicum. Also I’m a sucker for the good old armor’n’hood drip. 😬

Update, while the Repulsor Executioner and Stormraven Gunship were fairly easy to assemble, the Knight kicked my ass.

But at the end of the day, the Dynus Megazord and its pilot Zordonicus of House Eltar is assembled and magnetized.

I think I'm going to keep the carapace unglued cus that cockpit is too cool to keep hidden and I'm not leaving the hatch up.
(Shortly after that picture was taken a magnet popped off one of the shoulders, prompting me and Gf to pull off the magnets in the shoulders and arms, only to realize this would repulse the magnets on the elbows, forcing me and her to slightly disassemble the head and shoulders pads to pull magnets out and flip the magnets in the waist to get the correct polarity. Ugh.)
As for the other heavyweight armor in my army. The Executioner with alternate macro plasma incinerator.

And the Stormraven Gunship.

Keeping it off the base for now as I have plans for the "tactical rock" that houses the magnet for the flight stand.
Canopy is unglued for ease painting the cockpit. Swapped out the Techmarine helmet for a spare Suppressor helmet to make it more pilot appropriate (and cus I was getting low on hoplite helmets). Left the canopy unglued for the servator turret operator and magnetized the turret options, was initially going to just use the lascannons but I had left over smaller magnets.
And with that, my Iron Snakes army is complete. As fun as a second army could've been, I just don't have the space store them, but at the very least I can have a couple Kill Teams thanks to my Exaction Squads and and Space Marines.

Overview of House Phobos
From the personal files of Inquisitor Seraph Seraphsdottior:
FILE NAME: Hippeis Deimosian
SUBJECT: Overview of the House of Phobos
DOCUMENT TEXT: To say that the Knights of House of Phobos are bellicose would be an understatement. The House of Phobos is a knightly house sworn to serve the forgeworld of Deimos. They are organised under their High Princeps. This position was created as far back as their records say when a Knight of House Taranis, Yaakov Taranis, fought the Night Haunter traitor Primarch Konard Curze to a standstill in the questoris suit known as Samson for the protection of the forgemoon of Deimos. Afterwards, the priests of Deimos grateful for Yaakov’s protection reportedly granted him lordship over the moon of Phobos, which has since been expanded to function as a knightly world. The veracity of this founding myth cannot be verified. Excerpt from Magos Historia Esther-Mendeelvee ∆12.56π’s work, Nights of Knights:
LO AND BEHOLD, THE BARON OF TARANIS YAAKOV THE BRAVE AND BOLD , THE LIGHT OF THE OMNISSIAH, FOUGHT THE HAUNTER FOR EIGHT DAYS AND EIGHT NIGHTS, PUSHING THE FOUL PROGENITOR OF BACK WITH EACH BLOW. FOR THIS YAAKOV WAS GRANTED WITH HIS TWELVE CHILDREN HIS HOUSE HIS OWN. THEY ARE STALWARTS AGAINST HERESY, EVER LOYAL TO THE PRIESTS OF THE OMNISSIAH YET TO COME AND THE MACHINE GOD. SELAH.
THE HOUSE NOW KNOWN AS PHOBOS WOULD SERVE WELL FOR THE MYRIAD OF OUR LORD THE MACHINE GOD EVER WATCHFUL FOR THE LEGIO SIGILANT AND OTHER FORCES OF THE FORGE OF DEIMOS. MAY THE EYES OF THE KNIGHTLY HOUSE NEVER CEASE, MAY THEY AWE EVER TERRIFY THE HERETICS AND ALIEN THAT WOULD THREATEN THE DOMAINS OF MANKIND. SELAH.
THE HOUSE OF PHOBOS STANDS GUARD WITH THE GOD ENGINES OF THE LEGIO SIGILANT FIRST OF MALCADOR THE HERO'S MANY HONORS. THEY STAND FIRM AND EVERY AT THE READY. SELAH.
THE HOUSE OF PHOBOS FOREVER STANDS WITH HER MANY ARMIGER AND QUESTORIS AND DOMINUS AND ACATUS PATTERN SUITES THAT WILL STAND FOREVER AS THE WATCH FORCE OF THE FORGEWORLD DEIMOS. SELAH.
As Magos Historia here reports, in much the language that knightley hagiographies prefer, this house stands watching and as the guards of the Titan Legio based on Deimos itself. As for the tactics employed, Phobos has many war glaive patterned suits as well as a few heresy era moirax and meagera suits that would lend some credence to at least the date of their foundational myth. Phobos knights tend to specialize in anti-vehicle actions with large shock and awe demonstrations to break the will of the enemy. To this there are a shockingly few number of helverin war suites with such suites being regarded as dishonorable to use. Such tactics can be seen further reported in the ill written Nights of Knights which to preserve my own sense of the Gothic language, I will not be including but include the Scourging of Pharos, the Passage of Yam Suph, and the Breaking of The 7th Sons of the Rotbringer during the Plague Wars. Another interesting note is members of the house of Phobos seem to give up their names during the bonding with the knight and take up the name of whatever suit they bond with. The only exception is the High Princeps who is always styled Malka Yaakov. House Phobos also has one vassal house, House Theodoric, a former Questoris Inperalis house whose High Queen I found guilty of heresy. The non heretical remnants were forced to swear loyalty to the current High Princeps Malka Yaakov DXXI of Phobos. This has bolstered the House's forces in recent years as a number of suites, though I could not find how many, were lost during the Plague Wars in defence of Ultramar, including the previous High Princeps, Malka Yaakov DXX, and his Sacristan. I am writing this overview for personal reference given that a lance of knights are traveling with my current focus of investigation. I do not think the House itself is heretical, though I do question the judgement of High Princeps Malka Yaakov DXXI regarding itinerant tech priests, and the judgement of High Princeps Malka Yaakov DXXI in general. High Princeps Malka Yaakov DXXI does not seem to be the individual weilding power in the knightly house instead it seems most decisions seem to come from the former High Princeps's siblings, Master of the Vox Saul of Phobos and Master of Lore David of Phobos.

I don't think enough people know that, despite their massive size and generally more threatening appearance, cerastus class knights are basically Mad Max vehicles.
Most knight classes(dominus, questoris, armiger, etc.) were originally utility vehicles during the Long March colonization effort during the Dark Age of Technology. They were made, ultimately, to give humanity an upper hand and help them out as they wandered the stars, equal parts war engine and construction vehicle.
The cerastus chassis is another story. They trace their origins to the Age of Strife, after the ai rebellion nearly shattered humanity. Cerastus class knights are built for war and war alone, the tools used by despots of old to tear down opposing knight houses and crush rebellions, feral machine spirits slavering at the merest notion of violence. A symbol of a darker time I'm every respect.
That is the primary lore reason you don't see these guys all over in 40k. Only a few remained in each house by the time of the Great Crusade, so when the Horus Heresy broke out it took out most of the remaining suits.
So this guy?

He might look like a paragon of chivalry, but to other knights he's a sign of the times. Everything has gone back to shit so they're hauling out ancient monsters from ages past.

Which number is the holiest, you ask? What is your guess? Zero? As it is the anchor of all counting? One? As it contains the first choice and divides all things into the realms of affirmation and rejection? Or two? As it forces us to transcend the borders of the first digit. It enables us to count our choices, to give thought to the reality of binarity, and - in breaking this first boundary - already opens up the path to infinity. So what is your favourite: O, I or OI? […]
Day 2 - Slow and steady! I dared not to attach the armor plates before it’s primed, so I started to build the torso. I’m also not sure which primer to use for the inner structure… Leadbelcher? Runelord Brass?

Knight Acheron of House Bastonne.
Taking the image of the fearsome Dragon of ancient Terran myth for their heraldry, House Bastonne has long made use of Acheron-pattern chassis in their deployments, their Flamestorm Cannons redolent of the dread wyrm's storied flames.

A trio of Games Workshop Questoris knights I painted up in a nice pink, on some quick city bases I made on GW 40mm rounds. Trying variations on the one true melee weapon and thermal cannon pair and also bulking out a knight household for titanicus.

i demand more info :)
Theyre a group of Iron Warriors that got fed up with how perturabo was running things at the end of the Horus Heresy and split off after entering the Eye of Terror. They went through some warp time shenanigans and got spit out of the Eye sometime near the beginning of m42. They currently consist of 41 astartes, 20 of which are legionaries (fig 1) , 10 crew a Kratos Heavy Assault Tank called the Iron Repute (fig 2) , their leader Siege Captain John (fig 3) , a squad of Terminators (no picture) and a Leviathan Dreadnought named Bucko (fig 4)

They're currently allied with @hera-the-wizard 's darkmech character Mordax, Engineer of Tzeentch (fig 5) and her scions in their effort to retake her home Forge-World from the Imperium of Man. Currently the only model I have of her scions is a yet-unnamed Questoris Knight of House Caesarean (fig 6).
