Bungou Stray Dogs Original Abilities
I made the following abilities for Bungou Stray Dogs that are free to use with credit. The name of the abilities are mainly based off of the titles from the works of authors and poets.
Last Update: 25/08/24
╰┈➤
The Snake Song by R. K. Narayan: This ability allows the user to transform into a huge serpent. They gain all the characteristics and abilities of one, enhanced to a somewhat supernatural degree. The user can also grow and shrink as per their will in this form, from the size of a normal snake to the size of a two-and-a-half storey building.
Black Beauty by Anna Sewell: This ability allows the user to manipulate their shadow to do their bidding. The strength of the shadow depends on the intensity of light around it i.e. more the light, the stronger the shadow. If more than one shadow is formed by a light source, the user can control all of them at once. However, the attacks will be much weaker as the ability will be split between several shadows.
A Living God by Yakumo Koizumi (born Lafcadio Hearn): This ability allows the user to bring their echo to life. They can use it to relay messages and find hiding spots of specific targets by their will for up to thirty minutes at a time. However, this ability can work only in a closed rooms with hard walls.
War and Peace by Lev Tolstoy: This ability allows the user to induce either positive or negative feelings in its targets. They can induce a sense of violent rage which can suppress the affected person’s thoughts and cause them to blindly attack others as well as induce a sense of peace that replaces the rage with bliss and serenity. However, this ability can work only in a limited area and the user’s mind may divide to handle the opposing forces.
There Will Come Soft Rains by Sara Teasdale: This ability allows the user to converse with the flora and fauna environment to the point of convincing them to act as personal messengers and spies. However, since the user has such a strong connection to nature, dangerous and unstable situations like violent conflicts can cause a lot of mental anguish.
Daffodils by William Wordsworth: This ability allows the user to induce a sense of blissful peace into anyone they touch after activation. While it is useful for calming people down, it can also be used to hypnotise people into a state of such penetrating ecstasy that not only does it render them completely ignorant to their surroundings but causes the victim to experience intense desperation and need to feel that kind of serenity for days after breaking out of it.
Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carrol: This ability allows the user to transport anyone they touch into a pocket dimension called Wonderland upon activation. It is frequented by characters such as the Cheshire Cat, the Mad Hatter etc. who take on absurd forms and try to keep the target inside Wonderland by the means of bizarre requests. However, the target can escape by ignoring the characters’ demands and finding the exit. This ability is quite similar to Lucy’s.
‘The Scottish Play’ by William Shakespeare: This ability allows the user to imbue anyone with misfortune if anyone except themselves whisper the name ‘Macbeth’. The user has no control over what the misfortune is or when it will happen as the ability only assures them that it will happen with certainty. They may also revoke the curse by uttering the words, ‘fair is foul, and foul is fair’.
Fantastic Mr. Fox by Roald Dahl: This ability allows the user to manifest a fox-like phantom which can steal any object the user tells it to do so but on the condition that the stolen object is used to help someone.
Vasilisa the Beautiful by Alexander Afanasyev: This ability allows the user to call upon a magical doll named Vasilisa to aid them in various tasks. Vasilisa can perform simple actions such as scouting, delivering items or providing advice. She can also heal minor wounds or provide temporary boosts to skills, adding to her role as a helpful and protective companion.

At 18, R K Narayan faced a setback — failing his university entrance exam in English. This gap year would go on to become a turning point in his life.
After moving to Lakshmipuram, Narayan began teaching English in Channapatna, though it didn’t succeed, leading him back to Mysuru. During his college years, he wrote stories and novels and shared them with friends over tea in local cafes, though they never saw the light of day.
Years later, he sent the manuscript of 'Swami and Friends' to a friend in the UK with instructions to either find a publisher or throw it into the Thames.
His friend, luckily connected to the famous writer Graham Greene, shared it with him. Greene championed its publication, launching Narayan’s career as a novelist.
Published in 1935, 'Swami and Friends' was a semi-autobiographical novel based on his childhood. With Greene’s support, The Bachelor of Arts followed in 1937 and established him as a literary force.
Personal tragedy struck in 1937 with the death of his father, followed by his wife's passing two years later. Despite the heartbreak, Narayan found solace in writing, producing some of his most remarkable novels during this period.
Published in 1942, Malgudi Days captured the essence of ordinary life in a fictional town. The collection was later adapted into a hit television series on Doordarshan in the 1980s. His novel The Guide won the Sahitya Akademi Award in 1960.
R K Narayan passed away in 2001 at the age of 94, leaving behind a legacy of timeless stories that continue to resonate with readers worldwide.

"Main Zindagi Ka Saath Nibhaata Chala Gaya
Har Fikar Ko Dhuyein Mein Udata Chala Gaya"
Remembering Bollywood's evergreen star, the inimitable Dev Anand, on his 100th birth anniversary (26/09/1923).
Dev Anand, born as Dharamdev Pishorimal Anand on 26 September 1923, was a celebrated figure in the Indian film industry. His extensive contributions as an actor, writer, director, and producer in Hindi cinema marked him as one of the most successful and respected actors in Indian film history. Over a career spanning six decades, Anand worked in over 100 films, earning numerous awards including four Filmfare Awards and the prestigious Padma Bhushan and Dadasaheb Phalke Award from the Government of India.
Anand's film journey began in 1946 with a lead role in "Hum Ek Hain," a film promoting Hindu-Muslim unity. His first hit, "Ziddi," came in 1948, followed by the superhit "Baazi" in 1951, which pioneered the influx of "Bombay Noir" films in the 1950s. His later years were marked by numerous successful films, earning him a romantic image and solidifying his place in the industry.
The 1965 film "Guide" was a significant milestone in Anand's career. Based on R. K. Narayan's novel, it was a huge success and was nominated for Best Foreign Language Film at the 38th Academy Awards. Anand continued to star in various box office hits throughout the 70s and 80s, with "Chargesheet" in 2011 being his final film.
Anand's distinctive acting style, characterized by his fast dialogue delivery and unique nodding, became his trademark. His films often explored cultural and socially relevant topics, reflecting his worldview. Married to actress Kalpana Kartik, Anand had two children, including Suneil Anand.
Anand's charm, diverse roles, and good looks made him one of the highest-paid actors from the 1950s to the early 1970s. In 2022, he was honored in Outlook India's "75 Best Bollywood Actors" list. Known as the "first fashion icon" of Bollywood, Anand's fashion statements and style were emulated by many.
Anand's autobiography, "Romancing with Life," was released in September 2007, and his 1961 film "Hum Dono" was digitized, colorized, and re-released in February 2011. His enduring appeal and unmatched style led to numerous accolades and recognition, with many noting his flamboyant, debonair, and romantic screen presence. Despite comparisons to Hollywood actor Gregory Peck, Anand maintained his unique identity, stating, "I am Dev Anand."
Anand's meetings with Peck, initiated at Bombay's Willingdon Club in 1954, were marked by mutual respect and admiration. Despite their interactions, Anand remained a distinct and beloved figure in Indian cinema, celebrated for his timeless contributions and enduring legacy.

Connotaciones subjetivas
No sé si habré acertado.
