WELCOME TO ROSEHEART AUTHORS!
Tumblr media
Hello, it's a pleasure to meet you for the first time, welcome to my blog! Here we will talk about books, writing and the creative process regarding this kind of art. Critiques, reviews, analysis of topics and once in a while we will see curious topics in which, have to do with literature and writing.
I introduce myself to you. I'm Nicole, but I'm better known around as Hatsumi Chinami. I'm not only a content writer for this blog. I'm also a freelance illustrator and an Art and Business Design student. I've been writing my stories since I was a little girl, and I'll also be writing about what my experience is like creating characters and my projects.
I'm a neurodivergent person, so here you will be seeing me talking about many topics that I like. Mainly about the books I read, analyze and special interests such as: The Little Prince. My content will have a great base of my personal perspective and research to bring my publications with the highest possible quality.
Currently apart from my presented vocations. I am also involved in other projects as a voice-actor and producer. As time goes by, I will be publishing my experience and tips that can help you.
Tumblr media
Projects I'm working on!
I am currently working on five projects in development.
The Little Prince: The 'New' Beginnings: My first writing project. In which most of the content is in Spanish and can be found on Wattpad and BookNet.
The Little Prince: Just a 'dream': Collaborative project with Jacqueline Luna. I am currently managing the project in its official rewrite.
Joke's Memories: First project by @sagawillow, in which is my college thesis project.
Bloodline: Retelling of FHS more focused on the lore of 'Five Nights at Freddy's'. Audiovisual project of mystery and juvenile thriller.
The Warehouse: Fanmade videogame of the 'Five Nights at Freddy's' franchise.
Tumblr media
My other blogs!
On Tumblr I have two other blogs in which other types of content are intended. In which, they are as follows:
@hatsumichinami: My Art blog. Here you will see more illustration content and my artistic progress as an illustrator.
@sagawillow: The official blog of my thesis project! Here I will be sharing all the news of the projects. Also official information and products to be launched.
Tumblr media
Can we ask you questions?
Of course we can! This is a safe place for anonymous questions. With that, you can recommend books for me to read and give you my review accordingly. With that, if you need a series of writing tips, I'm willing to create one to help you. I am open to solve any kind of doubt, will investigate further with my personal experience and will make a post about it.
Tumblr media
And that's all for now!
Thank you so much for supporting today's post. I will be much more frequent in this blog with the promised content, so don't forget to follow me and share it! The first reviews will have a lot to do with research based on the historical context and will have my personal opinions about it.

I write other things here too, but it has stalled a bit. I am hoping to spend more time writing this year. But I will maintain what brought me back to writing...writing about books.

Blog Reboot
How did it come to this? Last post was in January 2020. Let me paint you the picture as to why this was let go: 2020. Enough said. I was struggling to keep up. My husband’s first born moved in with us [he’s a teen] At the same time, we found out we were pregnant. So what has changed? I am desperate for a creative outlet I have control in. Our toddle is capable of playing without attention…

Kindle, is it worth it?
Today it's been a month exactly since I purchased the Kindle. I went back and forth for months about buying a Kindle. It would spend a couple of days in my cart before I would just delete it and contemplate some more. Finally, I did it I bought it. And I am so happy I did!
My girlfriend works early in the mornings, she has to be at work at 5am, and I work second shift, which is 2pm-10pm and she is normally sleeping or going to bed when I get home from work. So to read, I read on my Kindle; because I don't have to worry about a light bothering her, or a booklight being clipped somewhere. I can comfortably read without bothering her.
And because of this I have read so many books. More than normal, and it's been saving me some money and allowing to get my reading done for the blog. I can purchase the book first on my Kindle and read it. Later, if I would like to purchase the physical copy, I will.
But honestly, having this Kindle has been amazing. I can read anywhere and not have to carry a book, which means I don't have to worry about damaging the book or finding room for it! I purchased the bottom of the line, basic Kindle ($89) with free shipping because I am a prime member. In my opinion the Kindle is definitely worth it!

01 | Weekly udpate
Tumblr media
Hello everyone! How are you? I hope you're all doing great. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting so much support on the blog in the past few weeks—especially since I’ve been focusing on my projects and this week I’m starting a new semester at university. I really want to thank you for that; being my first time stepping into this space on Tumblr, it makes me very happy. Reading and writing have been an important part of my life, and having this space with you makes me feel included.
With that in mind, I made this small sketch to thank you for all the support and kindness I've received in the past few days. I hope you like it!
Tumblr media
The theme color of this blog is blue. I usually make my sketches in black and gray. However, I want to start pushing my limits and trying new things. This is a new stage in my life, and knowing that I have the support of my audience makes me very excited.
Now, let’s get to the important part of this blog: my weekly updates. It seems they have a lot to do with my readings and the projects I’m currently working on.
Tumblr media
ABOUT MY READINGS
I’m super stuck, I won’t lie to you. Since November, I’ve been reading 'Muerte en el Pentagonito' by Ricardo Uceda. It’s a testimonial and historical account of my country’s events from 1980 to 2000. And I swear, it’s been making me absolutely furious with everyone involved except for the author. Everything I’ve read so far has only left me more shocked than I thought I would be.
However, to ease things a little, I’m currently on chapter 9 out of 20, which means we’re this close to reaching the halfway point—yippie!
Update: I’ve reached the halfway point. This is great news.
But I’m still stressed out by everything in this book. I simply can’t handle it much longer—but of course, Miss Roseheart had to read about what happened in her country, didn’t she? Anyway, that’s all from me regarding this first book.
As for my other read, it’s 'Forget My Name' by Zero Calcare. I have a strong opinion about comics, manga, and graphic novels: to me, they are literature. With that in mind, I wanted to read one of his graphic novels, and since I’ve mentioned this one, it has really caught my attention. I’ve been skimming through it digitally, but I want to write a proper review, so I need to reread it to take notes and post my thoughts here.
Now, for my to-read list: 'Shadowhunters' by Cassandra Clare—this one is an absolute must—an intensive art-focused reading of 'The Diary of Anne Frank', and 'Wings of Starlight' by Allison Saft. And you guys have no idea how badly I want to finally read this book! YOU HAVE NO IDEA! I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS BOOK FOR SO LONG!
And that concludes my weekly reading update. Please pray for me to finish 'Muerte en el Pentagonito' before March, because I need to read more books this year :(.
Tumblr media
ABOUT MY PROJECTS
Things have been getting a little out of control when it comes to writing. Over the past few days, we’ve been working on Bloodline and some smaller projects. However, I want to focus more on Bloodline in this update. Oh, and a few more things!
As the producer and screenwriter for the episodes, we’re about to reach the stage where we start writing the scripts. However, writing a script is not the same as writing a chapter of a novel. I’ve written very few scripts in my life, but I’ve decided to take this as an opportunity. Not only am I learning about illustrated production scripts, like the ones for Bloodline, but I’m also understanding their differences from comic scripts —such as Joke’s Memories— and an anthology of comics I’ve been slowly working on.
We’ve put a lot of work into Bloodline —and when I say a lot, I mean A LOT of content.- Not just in terms of writing outlines, but also in the production of artistic material. Since we have so many ideas within the team, agreeing on things has been quite an experience. We’ve had shared ideas as well as debates on how everything should fit into the project. However, I’m really happy that everyone is satisfied with the work, and soon, several new updates will be released.
I’ll be working on a blog post focused on the comic, which will also be published on Instagram and TikTok. I’ll be sharing my process and tips that will be really helpful!
Tumblr media
SURPRISE, I COMPLETED A DOMESTIKA COURSE!
Yes, it seems like it came out of nowhere, but I’ve finished my first Domestika course on writing! I took the 'Character Creation for Novels course', and I really enjoyed studying character development. It reinforced a lot of what I already knew, but this is just the beginning. I understand that I’m only getting started, but… I want to pursue further studies to improve myself.
I’ll be publishing my course project here soon, and I hope you’re excited because there are a few surprises that have been coming together over the past few weeks. As the university semester begins, I’ll be looking into how to better manage my time. If possible, I’d like to join the university’s theater group to strengthen my skills in visual and expressive interpretation so I can apply them when writing dialogues or important scenes. But if that doesn’t work out, I’ll focus on studying more and making the most of my time to get as much out of this blog as I can!
Tumblr media
AND THIS WAS EVERYTHING!
Thank you so much for reading the blog, and sorry for not updating you until now. Now that my schedule will be more structured, I’ll be better organized when it comes to working on projects.
I’ll do everything I can to improve and be more active here. I’m really happy to see all the support. Though I have to admit, this is the first time I’ve received so much at once, and sometimes I feel that fear of not meeting expectations. Truly, thank you for the support. Until then, try to be happy.

welcome!
I’ve decided to create a book review blog! I will post the book, a small summary, my personal thoughts and opinions, as well as a rating for each book I do. For now, I’m going to do whatever book I’m currently reading. I would love to get recommendations though! Please feel free to suggest titles, authors, and genres!

Introspective Beginnings
Hi there! I’m Alli, and I love books. If you also like (or any variation of that emotion) books, you may find this blog enjoyable. I intend to use this space to give reviews, chat about current reads, post bookish pictures, or share any other relevant book content. Now that you know my intent, how about some random facts about me?
I find that being curled up in a comfy chair with a book is one of the best places to be. There are so many worlds to escape into among the pages and so many characters to love, hate, or any manner of emotion in between. I think coffee or tea make for great reading beverages, and sometimes, a glass of wine pairs nicely with a novel. And some days, a cold glass of chocolate milk is the way to go.
My favorite time of year is Autumn. There is something magical about that time of the year that just makes reading even better. Cozy candles, crisp fall air, colorful trees, warm blankets, and hot drinks (not to mention pumpkin spice) are just some of the happy additions to reading time.
Weather conditions for reading? I love rainy weather. Gray skies, rain pattering against the window, and thunder echoing across the clouds makes reading so much better for me. Something about the gloomy atmosphere makes me want to hide under a blanket, or in a pillow fort, with a flashlight and absorb myself in a book.
Even without specific weather or seasons, I still love reading whenever I have the time. I often find it difficult to read just one book at a time. I tend to be reading at least three books (and carrying two back-up books) because I lean more toward being a mood reader, so I need options depending on the time of day.
My favorite genre is Fantasy, but I enjoy books from most other genres, also. I tend to fancy Middle Grade first with Adult and Young Adult tying for second. I find Middle Grade fun because it requires the reader to let go of the idea of “normal” and embrace the imagination. Anything is possible in Middle Grade books, and the reader is along for the ride.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I am here to make some book friends, share my bookish opinions, and just enjoy the atmosphere of having a blog.

Bookclub website?
I have to start a website for a class this semester, and I want to make something that people would actually use and enjoy. So, what would you use?
I was thinking a book-oriented website with a planned bookclub for those who want to read and then talk with people about it.
Maybe with pages for book-ish related things and maybe some studying stuff mixed in.
Agree through likes or reblogs (reblogs are appreciated so your followers can weigh in too).
Reply with any suggestions or if you want to get in on this (blog writing, anyone?)!
