thinking about how in chapter four we really truly have a close trusted ally for, like… the first time.

in chapter one we have lancer, sure, but he’s understandably conflicted between us and the King. we have fun with him and he has fun with us, but when it boils down to it he’s just a kid who doesn’t want us to hurt his father and who possesses no real power to help us. in chapter two there’s noelle and berdly, but even if especially noelle wants to be on our side, there’s always the overhanging threat of Queen that makes it a rather… uneasy? allyship. it’s shaky, you don’t know how long it’ll last; it’s more like occasional solace. (speaking for the normal route here, obviously. snowgrave is Different ! ) in chapter three there’s not really much of anyone at all? most background characters support us over tenna, we make friends with side characters, ramb’s letting kris into the backrooms to do weird shit, but there’s no one really at our side.

and then in chapter 4, we have someone not only on our side, but someone actively supporting us—holding us up, being there for us when we need it most, mentoring us even. in the without question darkest chapter to date, we also have our strongest ally yet, and our in my eyes safest-feeling safe zone in the study (the green room and the areas near stores in ch 1&2 just… don’t compare).

I'm cooking up a sims challenge!

The working title is The World After challenge. Years after a flu has wiped out most of the population you make your journey out into the world to find others and rebuild a community. You've lost all your gear in the fire that took out your last settlement, along with your community. You've ended up on the Crumbling Isle in Windenburg. Now it's time to set down camp, gather supplies, find other survivors, and choose the place you will rebuild. Will you set sail for the islands of Sulani? Start a ranch in Chestnut Ridge? Or hole up for the winter in Moonwood Mill. You miss the world before, but now it's time to build an after.

I'm working out all the rules and ideas rn with my sim, Midge, but I hope to someday post it as a real challenge! This is all majorly inspired by Station Eleven (def read the book or watch the show)

YOUR PART IN THE QSMP STORY ANIMATION WAS SO GOOD, OH MY GOODNESS. It took me a hot second to realize, but after that it was like, how could I have missed it? It was so obviously your art style, your version of Quackity, and it was so *good*.

It's amazing to see how much better your animation has gotten since the days of Your Obedient Servant and Tubbo and Quackity's 'don't trust anyone, not even me', but it's still so obviously your animation. It's just incredible.

All the kudos to you though. That was such a good MAP, and it was an incredibly pleasant surprise to see a familiar artist in the fray.

My prediction for the next Ichi the witch chapter is that Ichi is going to lose big time, get saved by Dess, and then have to slowly work his way up to reach the god Majik for the rest of the story. That's the way I'm trying to make sense of being given a huge threat like this so early. Could be interesting if on the way Ichi might have to confront some of the nuance in the world of Majik and his beliefs as a hunter, for example if a Majik is only threatening to kill to keep themselves safe, is it right for Ichi to hunt it? I'm interested in seeing what the confrontation will be in the future 👀
