The scarcity of flour in 1795 and the introduction of a hair powder tax saw a screeching halt brought to the fashion of men's wigs that were so prominently in style throughout the 18th century. In protestation to this tax the Duke of Bedford abandoned his wigs in favor of a cropped and unpowdered hairstyle. And with that, short hair came back into fashion for men! Thanks to the influence of classical antiquity on fashion many of these hair styles were inspired by the tresses of the Greeks and Romans, and several of them were named for notable men of those times - the Brutus, the Titus, and the Caesar. Other cuts included the Bedford (named for the Duke of Bedford), the Cherubin, and the Frightened Owl, which in contrast to the rather neat style of the shorter cuts was a wild and untamed do.
After a century being out of vogue facial hair was back in style, this time in the form of sideburns. Moustaches and beards however were still on the outs, and we wouldn't see those return until the 1830s. As ever hats were an essential part of a man's wardrobe, particularly for outdoor activities such as walking, promenading and riding. Shoes were just as simple and practical as what was happening in women's footwear, with boots reserved for day wear and pumps being worn for afternoon and evening occasions. CC links and reference images under the cut.

In Bloom: Mini-Regency Set
Tumblr media
Hi, I have a miniset for you all which I've called ✨In Bloom✨, why you may ask? Because I couldn't think of any other name and my nirvana playlist was playing while making this...now proceeding to what you shall get:
You will be getting an Adult Female early 1820s formal/party dress, which was the first piece of cc I ever made last summer. I said I wasn't going to release it, however I've changed my mind. I used @peebsplays Sophia Dress, @gilded-ghosts Fanny dress, and some bows from @miikocc to make it. Here is the dress I was inspired by when making it from 1820, (It doesn't look like it but it that much was my first project sooo)
Tumblr media
I'm sorry it only has 9 swatches and I can't seem to find the PSD I had for it. Otherwise, it's functioning and works for all body types.
Secondly, you will be getting a child regency dress, which is just a mesh edit of @peebsplays Caroline dress, and then I stuck my edited variation of @linzlu's Kirsten pantalettes onto it. Works for all body types and has 30 swatches.
Third, which is my favorite thing, child ringlets! I have struggled for the past few months trying to make accurate ringlets and I finally did it the other night. I used @the-melancholy-maiden's Caroline hair as a base, then used ringlets from @sixcirclescc's Serena Hair to paste and mirror around it. These ringlets are 18k poly, which is a bit high. Here is the little girl I was inspired by to make these ringlets, her name was either Pauline or Clementine so the ringlets are named Clementine Pauline. All natural swatches, minus the grays and salt and peppers because it's a child's hair.
Tumblr media
I said they're regency for the sake of it but they can literally work for the vast majority of the 19th century, at least for the first and middle part of it.
Now, here are more pictures of everything in game, with and without my reshade from different angles.

1830s Unmentionables Set
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A recolor of @arethabee's Jasmine dress to add some early 19th-century long stays on top, as well as some accessory drawers to pair with the recolor. I made these a long time ago and will admit they're not my best work, but I think they could be useful for historical gameplay. And the mesh is so cute and fits so well it's worth it!
Both have a few swatches in relatively neutral tones + some basic colors + black. I've never seen any colorful or black stays from this time period, so the color choices are probably a bit historically inaccurate, but some variety can't hurt.
The hair in the above previews is by the amazing @the-melancholy-maiden and can be found here. I recommend combining it with this set to complete the ensemble.
This is a bit of a long post, so I'm putting the rest under the cut.
1830s Long Stays
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mesh is required
14 swatches
I say 1830s, but they could work for pretty much the first half of the 19th century, up until the early 1840s

1830s Accessory Drawers
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These accessory drawers don't look very good on their own, I'll admit. They're definitely meant to be covered with a skirt of some kind.
The drawers are divided into four different files, which require some explanation. The drawers on the left are V1. They're compatible with most skirt lengths, but are a bit bulky and are at risk of clipping with whatever you put on top, specifically at the thighs and hips. The ones on the right are V2. They've been decapitated to minimize bulkiness, but of course they won't look good with skirts that are too short.
Both V1 and V2 are compatible with the stays in this set. And both V1 and V2 are found in two different categories: Leggings and Socks. Why put something like this in Socks? Well, simply because a lot of good CC stockings are in the Leggings category, including the ones seen in the previews. So there are four files: V1 Leggings, V1 Socks, V2 Leggings, and V2 Socks. Get them all or get just one - it's your choice. Hope this cleared things up.

Four versions, please read the description above!

Long Men's Nightshirt
Tumblr media
Happy Tuesday! Today you're getting a simple 19th-century style nightshirt, an edit of @historicalsimslife's Edwardian Men's Nightgown. I've finally sort of figured out weight transfers. I did not enjoy it. But the weights are fine, so that's good.
Tumblr media
Just the one white swatch this time. Feel free to recolor if you want!
Found in the long dress and robe categories

ABIGAIL DRESS
Hi again! It’s little chamomile here. Posting on this page for now while my main one is still having issues.
Tumblr media
I made this dress a while ago and originally published it on my main page… only to find out that some of my account functions had been restricted. Don’t worry, nothing is going away.
I really wish this gown could be seen by more people, so I’m reposting it here, where I’m not limited by search visibility.
You can download it as always here, at my patreon page for free.
Tumblr media
Screenshots in game:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I’ve also included the poses I created for the in game preview, along with the book accessory. The book uses the hat texture space, so it’s not compatible with hats!

Tumblr media
I made a massive oversight when making this, and that's the fact that I put the textures for the bow in the glasses category. I didn't think about this, because I don't use eyelashes on my sims and rarely glasses in historical saves. I plan to fix this eventually, but it's a little frustrating so forgive me. So the version with the bow on the bust is not compatible with glasses meaning some eyelashes will not work. I'm so sorry about this, I'll fix it at some point ;w; I promise
I tried to refine it as best I could, sadly there are a lot of issues with the weights that I just really don't know how to fix, so there's a lil bit of clipping, but nothing too crazy? however I don't know how to go about fixing it but if I find out I want to come back and update it so it's properly refined and has no issues!
Anyways! I'm sorry for rambling, this is my first cc, I am still very new to this,, I hope you enjoy ♡
p.s. please do not reupload my cc, you may recolour as you like as long as you credit, feel free to use the assets but again please credit. ♡

(TS4CC) HALL OF ADMIRALS: 1812 BRITISH ROYAL NAVY UNIFORM SET
HELLO! I am so, so proud of finally being able to realize this project, so let's get down to it.
A fascinating part of the English Regency era was achieving social glory and fame and financial gain through victorious capture of ships during battle; as well as the reality of the exploits, and atrocities committed by the British Empire in the name of colonialism and profit.
These uniforms--three mesh variants--can encompass the uniforms of the ranks of mate, midshipman, lieutenant, and captain. I was actually going to add embroidery, but last week at work kicked my butt, and I didn't want to delay this any further.
All the items are separate, and the non-epaulette top could easily be used as a regular outfit for any Regency gentleman; as could the breeches, stockings, and shoes.
I've also included labeled PSD files so you can recolor to your heart's desire.
+++SPECIAL THANKS goes to @notsooldmadcatlady (tumblr) on whose 1830s frock this effort was based; @simverses (tumblr), and all the lovely folks on the Sims of History Discord server who put up with my emotional journey through learning how to make a decent CAS set.+++
Last but certainly not least, thank you to @stereo-91 / @annadedanann for Arthur's hat, and the beautiful CC for the hall of the Royal Naval College in the background.

Hat hair!
Hat hair is where you join both hair and hat together, so that when the sim puts it on, the hair is perfect in the hat! What makes it special is that the hair stays the normal colour your sim has, and you can select the swatches of the hat; if made the traditional way of making cc, you would have to choose either;or - you can't have both hair swatches and hat swatches.
Tumblr media
I've always been frustrated with hair and hats not working together how I want! My good friend @inlovewithregencyera has made several hat hairs, and was gracious enough to teach me how! (thank you so much 😭) Theirs are, of course, fully from scratch, and I'm not quite at that level yet 😂:
Today, I present two popular bonnets - @linzlu's Birthday Bonnet, @moon-simmers' recolour version of this; as well as @lilchamomil's Regency Bonnet; all of which I have paired with hair by @buzzardly28.
The shape of these bonnets are just like ones really worn in the 19th century, which I have seen in photographs (daguerreotypes, ambrotypes, tintypes &c.), as well as paintings.
Tumblr media
In the Linzlu bonnet, I have used Buzzard's "1860s hair", and in the Lilchamomil bonnet, I have used both the "1850s hair", and "Peggy hair", by Buzzard.
I spent quite a bit of time moving and shaping flowers in the Linzlu bonnet, and I ended up putting in a few more!
I really love the Lilchamomil bonnet; it's definitely Recency - not Victorian - I have seen it in some paintings; but, I know in the Victorian era, similar ones were worn - which is why I wanted to put a Victorian hair style in it.
Tumblr media
There's 34 swatches in the lilchamomil bonnet, half with white inside, half with cream. There's 22 swatches in Linzlu's original "Southern Birthday" bonnet, and 41 in Moonsimmers' "Harriet Birthday" bonnet.
You can download all the originals here, if you want them as well: Regency bonnet - part of the Isolde set by lilchamomil Southern Birthday bonnet - by Linzlu Harriet Birthday bonnet - part of the Britechester Square Collection by Moonsimmers 1850s Hairs - by Buzzard 1860s Hairs - by Buzzard Peggy Hair - part of the Margaret Hairs set by Buzzard

As well as doing away with the overly fussy fashions of the 1700s, 19th century women preferred their footwear low and sensible. Typically a woman would have three pairs of shoes for different occasions - an everyday pair, slippers for dancing and boots for walking. While clothing was usually white or similarly light in colour, shoes offered the opportunity to wear a brighter accent. Ribbon rosettes and satin ties that criss-crossed up the leg added feminine charm. Even though the classically inspired fashions soon started becoming more fussy only 10 years into the century, these simple shoe styles stayed in mode well into the mid 1800s. My Fair Lady: Early Romantic Era Hairs
Tumblr media
♫♫♫♫ (sorry I now feel the feminine urge to include a Regency song in everything, ignore me but it sounds better as you read.)
Alright, I made these Early Romantic Era (1820-1910) hairstyles and decided why not release them. They are named after characters in my sims story, Isabella, Selina, Aurelia, and Susan (3 of which have not been introduced yet). You can look at their aesthetics if you want here. There are no 1820s hairstyles so I saw it fit to make some for my story. I say these are 1820s Hairstyles but these can work from about 1817-1827. The two without the Apollo knots can work for as early as 1810. The two with the Apollo knots can work as early as 1820+.
I have snatched pieces of hair from @the-melancholy-maiden and @buzzardly28, credit to them for amazing pieces of hair I can work with.
BGC, with all EA natural swatches.
Here are some different angles of them in my game:

I love these sims they're so cute.

This is the first dress I attempted, but I went back and fixed it up a bit because there were a lot of errors. It's not the best, it's very plain! I'm not super proud of the swatches, I might put together a new swatch list for future cc or to addon to my other dress because I think the colours I include are too dark for the era :)
I really need to figure out a thumbnail design, but alas i am so sorry they don't have custom thumbnails but they have display indexes so all my cc should be together. ;;
Thank you!
