I added a weighted blanket to the mood-board, but I'm not sure if the weight would be comforting or constricting to him. Maybe he would just sleep with no blanket?

I imagine Ben’s regressed age fluctuates… maybe usually six to around the teenage years??? I know that pacifiers don't make too much sense for older regressors but maybe it would be more a comfort thing to him. And that pacifiers would be a good thing to chew, also a thing I Imagine him doing. Since he smokes so much weed to me it makes sense for him to regress to teen years and act... well exactly like himself. Vulgar and rebellious. I also think Ben would have a lot of fidget toys/just fidget with things a lot in general.

I didn't mean to add head-canons to this post but while making the mood-board and paci edit, they kinda just came to me. Tell me if you (dis)agree with my head-canons, or have anymore to add! I'd really love to hear them.

sevika who was never big on physical touch , struggling at first to get used to you being clingy. it's not unpleasant for her but it's certainly something to get used to , she's a bit surprised that you'd choose her of all people to latch onto in this way.

she's also never been great at dealing with big emotions. at first her eyes will widen when your face begins to scrunch up , clearly seconds from crying. she might begin to panic though she tries to hide it. "hey , hey. what's wrong , kid ?" she works hard on her tone so she doesn't sound too gruff or out of her element. she'll put her hand on your shoulder a bit awkwardly , trying to comfort you physically.

she's not great at comforting people but she's a great listener and very perceptive. if she notices you acting differently she'll gently pull you aside. "what's the matter , kid ?" she'll ask straightforwardly in a soft tone. she hunches down to look you in the eye , resting a hand on your shoulder. if you don't answer she doesn't push but she needs you to know she cares. "well , i'm here if ya need me, hm ?" she'll say raising an eyebrow at you.

okay i doubt this book exists in zaun but i do not care... sevika doing kissing hands with you , her clingy little cub whenever she has to go off to work or on a more dangerous outing. you'll start to cry and she'll gently shush you , placing soft kisses on both sides of your hands. "now you do mine ," she instructs in her gravelly voice. you wipe your teary eyes. "what for ?" she's embarrassed as she explains it to you , you make her so soft it makes her sick. you giggle , eagerly kissing her hands before pressing yours to your cheeks.

when you get weepy , she'll pick you up , plopping you on her lap , bouncing you a bit. this immediately calms you down , sometimes all you need is your mama's touch.

mama bear sevika who is always holding your hand out in public. she tells everyone it's just because you want it , but it's just as much for her own comfort. she doesn't like her cub getting too far , especially when you tend to fuss easily. the idea of you getting lost terrifies her probably even more than it does you.

sometimes as a treat sevika will give you piggy back rides or shoulder rides. "you're killin' me kid," she'll joke when you ask her forty minutes later for just one more spin around the house. still she carries you around one more time , collapsing onto the couch with a dramatic sigh when she's had enough.

sevika setting up a card game for you and your stuffed animals when she has to leave you. "watch out for the bulldog , he's a cheater." she'll warn you playfully. "mamaaa , i don' want you to gooo ," you'll whine tearfully. "aww , buck up kiddo. i'll be back before round two," she'll say with a wink.

if you're having a bad day and are more weepy than usual sevika will cheer you up by attempting to draw for you. key word : attempting. she's not an artist by any stretch and you always laugh when she tries to draw your special stuffie , or jinx. she'll snort , trying not to laugh herself. "aw, c'mon , kid. you're just jealous you can't draw like i can."

mama sevika who loves to cuddle up with you in her lap and read to you. she does lots of silly voices and will quiz you on plot points. "one more chapter , pleeeease !!" she'll pout at you , booping your nose. "no time tonight , cub. you gotta get to sleep." you'll whine and fuss , but eventually she wins , arguing that if you're too sleepy tomorrow you'll be too grumpy to read. she'll tuck you and your stuffies in bed giving all of you forehead kisses before flicking off the light and turning in for the night as well.

Bob:

he usually regresses with you honestly, but he ranges between being a big brother or being on the younger side

will literally play monster trucks and dolls with you

you cuddle all the time and take naps together like the cute babies you are

you like to wear his clothes and sometimes he'll wear yours even if they don't fit properly

you always need to be in his line of sight cause you're literally his emotional support person. if he's in big brother mode, he'll frantically search for you and if he's in little baby mode he just starts crying until yelena helps him find you

you share a big plate of dino nuggies together!! and then fall asleep in a cuddle pile in the living room akdhs

Yelena:

she's your mama. shares cg custody with bucky.

very much a helicopter mom, overbearing and overprotective but usually you don't mind it if you're feeling really, really little. if you're feeling a bit older, you often throw tantrums that you're a "big kid" and yelena has to get alexei over to calm you.

she has rules for you but is not very stern. she definitely gentle parents you.

how natasha was for her is how she is for you and bob

will play dress up with you and bake with you

when you're baking, flour is thrown everywhere. both of you just covered in it. and obviously alexei joins in cause he loves his family. John just stands there in corner like: 🧍🙄

Ava:

literally let's you do whatever you want and gives you whatever you want but you're NOT spoiled that's not a nice word according to Ava

you guys play chase and hide and seek a lot

John honestly did not rock with the regression at first cause he was all like: "🙄🧍 what are you doing??"

doesn't particularly like to be swaddled a lot but it helps him feel more grounded after getting his diaper changed

won't admit it but loves getting kisses all over when he's regressed, he likes the attention he gets when he's a baby

doesn't really like wearing his hearing aids when he's regressed

grabs at everything. hair, clothes, toys. the only way to contain him is with a good swaddle

might bite you if you put your fingers too close to his mouth

tries really hard to stay awake during nap time but if he's recently been fed, got a full belly and a paci, he passes out pretty quickly

has a special bond with his mom when he's regressed, they get along a lot better when he's little

his go to nickname for you is 100% kid. even before he became your caregiver, he's whipping that name out on the regular

playing with and interacting with wild animals whenever it's possible. talking to a deer through the gates of the estate, petting a stray dog in a parking lot, making noises at cows as you drive past them

he does that thing where he stands in front of your seat and pats his leg and you have to raise your leg to rest it on his thigh so he can tie your shoes instead of kneeling down

learning everything you can about wolverines and logan has to tell you whether he shares certain traits with them, like an interview hehe

he diys your first ever paci because he refuses to ask for help and the beads randomly fall off until he eventually gives in and talks to the others about getting one

eggs are a go to food option when he's cooking - he makes a mean omelette

pointing at the hyenas at the zoo and going "papa!" and he just softly responds "not quite, kid."

Before you read, I'm making a few rules / disclaimers. I am not a part of a system. I made this as both a req and a way of beginning to learn how to write hcs for systems. Any and all (gentle) criticism is welcomed! I headcanon Doey to be a part of a system with the 3 kids in his body. Finally, I will not tolerate discourse, I have no interest in listening to fights about who is and who isn't valid. I don't care about your views. Do not discuss them here.

• Doey's system originates from the young children combined in their body, as well as the traumatic event that involved such.

• Doey experiences bad dissociative episodes. They got especially bad when Poppy left. Matthew, who is the systems caregiver, was able to regress around her, so her leaving was very triggering.

• Their episodes are disabling and disorientating, but they try to push them down so as not to scare the little toys.

• Their collective name is, of course, Doey the Doughman, and their connection to their human names has disappeared with time.

• They don't exactly have a "host," they share a body made for them and have equal amounts of identity amongst it.

• Jack is their systems little, being the first body in Doey, his trauma and fear can easily affect the others in their system. Usually agitating Kevin or making Matthew anxious.

• Kevin took the form as a protector to cope with the abuse and trauma all 3 experienced. He tends to front mostly when they collectively are all upset. He is extremely moody and aggressive, as well as impulsive.

• Matthew fronts the most, as he is the most mature. He acts as the systems caregiver, proving comfort to the others during times of pain. Both in his system and the toys around him.

• Kevin and Matthew are very protective and brotherly to Jack.

• They have a few other alters, but those were not once physical human beings such as the 3 boys.

• On nights where Jack is fussy, Matthew will care for him, reassuring him he's safe and they'll have dinner in the morning. And one day, he'll be home to mommy and daddy.

• Kevin has ADHD, which ended up spreading to their entire new body. Doey spends time stimming by singing and humming their old theme song. as well as clapping, wiggling, and stretching their limbs

• These are also grounding techniques for when they feel somewhat switchy.

• Kevin tries not to regress, not wanting to be seen as weak, however occasionally he does slip.

• He's an impure regressor, much more violent and cranky than Jack is. But Matthew knows how to handle him.

the most attentive cgs ever ! vi is always cuddling you despite your fever while caitlyn scolds him , and constantly checks your temperature.

caitlyn is more realistic in her fussing , pouting at the fact that you're too sick for her to kiss your cute little face. she's constantly scolding vi , reminding him that if he continues touching your feverish skin , he's likely to get sick too. she keeps her distance physically , wanting to stay well enough to take care of you but vi can't resist your feeble cries for him and cait.

"oh shhhh , bubba. ma's here," you'll curl into his side , and he can't help but kiss your head to stop your whines. "i know , i know. being sickie suc- is so hard." he'll change his wording upon a stern look from caitlyn.

while caitlyn is physically distant , she fusses over you soo much , making you soup and tea and ensuring that you have enough cool pillows and enough blankets.

it pains her that she can't hold you. she'll tuck you in , feeling your forehead , and cooing at it's heat. "poor baby ," she'll say sympathetically. "could you eat a little soup for mummy ? how's your tummy feeling ?"

vi will make sure you're never bored , often taking a few of your discarded stuffies and having them act out a scene or have a chat with him. if you want something you're not really supposed to have when sick , maybe a spot of ice cream , you can persuade him occasionally but never caitlyn. your feeble little voice breaks his heart , how could he deprive you of a little sweet treat ?

vi will often come in as backup for caitlyn when it's time for your medicine. you tend to protest , refusing the small cup of icky liquid. "come on , kiddo. it'll make you feel better , i promise," he'll say , offering you a pinky to swear on. you're stubborn , turning your head as caitlyn urges you to open your mouth. "c'mon , little love. say aaah !" vi will add onto his previous remark , "when have i ever broken a promise ?"

both cait and vi will praise you every time you accept your medicine , or manage to eat your soup or drink your tea. caitlyn will clap , telling you what a nice job you did. vi will smile , "there ya go , you'll be feeling better in no time." he'll remind you how brave you are and that you need sustenance to grow all big and strong like him.

if you're to get out of bed , caitlyn will fuss , worried you're not well enough. "oh sweetheart , mummy will help you. do you need to go potty , what's the matter ?"

vi almost always ends up sick due to his constant cuddles and kisses with his baby. caitlyn sighs when she hears that first cough. "just got a little something in my throat ," he'll insist , but the next morning he's bed bound as well , caitlyn insists upon this. she chuckles at his protests. "honestly , you're worse than the baby ," she'll jest , with a little smile shaking her head a bit. she scolds him , unable to keep herself from adding an "i told you so" but she tends to both of you with the utmost care , love , and attention.
