You may have started a project and, in the middle of it, it abruptly ended. You thought you had all of the resources you needed – money, people to back the project, a solid plan – so when it ended it was really disappointing. You’re not quite sure what went wrong or why the project couldn’t get off the ground. The main point of concern keeps coming back to the people. Why did people decide to stop investing?

At some point during this project, there were too many cooks in the kitchen. Since it was your idea originally, you took the reigns back and decided to make executive decisions. While this isn’t always a bad thing, it feels like people may have stepped back from working with the project because they didn’t feel their voices being heard. Additionally, there were a lot of short term goals as the project was getting starting rather than looking at the bigger picture, so the small things didn’t necessarily add up to reaching the ultimate goal.

This situation is helpful for you as you move forward with other big ideas (or even if you try this one again!). You are excited about ideas so you want to get them off the ground, but this can be a reminder that taking time to plan is just as important as the execution of the plan. Create SMART goals (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time-bound), allow others to provide feedback, and find a balance between leading and collaborating. Something else that you may have/can learn from this is to wait on announcing ideas until you have a rough draft. It may have been too early in the planning stages of the original project and that made it asier for a lot of opinions to be thrown around. Come in with an outline/structure which allows for some movement, ideas, and opinions, but isn’t a complete blank slate.

There is/was someone in your life who was holding you back. You are inspired, full of ideas and plans for the future, and have always been someone who’s been able to move forward. Someone came into your life and once they did, you felt dragged down. This person has an immature nature about them. You feel like you have to put your needs on the back burner in order to avoid chaos. In a less annoying sense (for me lol), this person was there to teach you patience – not necessarily patience in people, but in not achieving your goals as quickly as you want. Without this person, there would have been risk of impulsiveness and built up energy.

How can/have you grown from X? Three of Pentacles

On a personal level, having this person in your life will ultimately help you appreciate other people who come into your life. Knowing that the person came into your life to help delay progress may help you see people on another level. “There is a reason this person came into my life. Let’s find out why.” It doesn’t mean you have to enjoy spending time with them, lol, but it will help it be less frustrating when the people around you are frustrating.

Regarding the goal(s), it has been aided in growth by the delay. Now that more time as passed, you will be more objective, have a more solid plan, and know where you can get resources to help it flourish.

This has “the one who got away” energy for me. Whether it was a romantic partner or a platonic friendship, someone who you loved and had a great partnership with isn’t in your life anymore. You’re wondering what the point was for this person to bring beauty to your life just for it to be ripped away.

Why did X happen? The Lovers & Nine of Swords

They came into your life because you deserved to know that this type of love exists. You deserve to know that, even in your darkest moments, you are loveable and worth the effort. This person was likely the first person in a long time that you were able to be vulnerable with. You learned how to trust again. You learned how to communicate. In terms of why they had to leave, I think it’s as simple as they weren’t meant to be. It’s not an easy answer to accept and it still probably doesn’t make sense. But the time that you had together really shaped you to be successful in new relationship(s) to come.

How can/have you grown from X? Eight of Wands rev. & Ace of Wands

This relationship is bringing you back to the root of YOU. It has probably started already. There are days you doubt your worth because the person did leave, but each day it gets easier to remind yourself that you are worthy. This person has lit a fire under you to live your life for yourself because you finally know that you deserve good things. They showed you the potential that relationships can have and that you have within them. You can move forward from this relationship with optimism for the future.  

What is X? The Tower & King of Wands

Your X was a huge tower moment for you. There was sudden change followed by chaos. Everything that you knew was turned upside down. You had a plan for your future. You could visualize opportunities ahead and see the steps to get there. It feels like you’re expected to build the tower back up but there aren’t any directions to tell you how.

I’m not being told exactly what happened that caused the tower moment, but it seems like the actions that were being taken were not in your highest good or the highest good of others involved. Unfortunately, the collapse of the tower was the consequences to those actions. Someone did not stand by decisions that they made and left everyone to their own devices. There was a missing level of ethicality and fairness.  

How can/did you grown from X? Knight of Pentacles

This knight is the hardest working knight in the deck. They are methodical and driven. They may not be the most creative, but they get the job done. You are being called to be this knight as you rebuild that tower. You don’t have to be the most creative person in the room. You don’t have to be the most inspiring person and come into a planning session with a full list of new ideas. If you focus on getting the job done effectively and consistently, you will be successful. Sit down and write goals. Just like group 1 (which you may have been interested in checking out), create goals that are tangible and attainable. You can also grow by accepting responsibility for anything that might go wrong. The original tower moment may or may not have been consequences of your own actions, but moving forward you need to be aware of your actions so another tower doesn’t fall. Stick to what you know, stick to a routine, and soon you’ll see the tower is standing higher than ever.

Tarot Christmas Calendar, Day 19

Hmm, this is interesting. It feels like you go through a lot of internal conflict. I think you’ve gone through a lot of loss, and you’ve kind of grown to distrust yourself—like you don’t trust your ability to think or navigate things. But you are actually very good at this.

I think that you bring a lot of shame and pain onto yourself. You can’t let go of your own past or fears, and it feels like you're stuck in a loop. But I’m not saying you can’t let go—you absolutely can. It’s a mindset issue.

Let’s see here, what do you need to stop worrying about? We have The Six of Wands. Some of you might feel drawn to pile one or feel connected to it. I feel like you don’t need to worry about proving yourself. You have something to show for your efforts. You are better than you think, and I think you just have to allow yourself to learn new things and understand that you won’t always immediately master something. There will be difficult moments, but you’re doing well.

I see here that maybe some of you are worried about money, a connection, or maybe even a romantic relationship. But I feel like for those of you going through difficulty in a connection, I see you coming out on the other side of this. You just need to be proactive about your healing. Sometimes, you can be your own blockage because you won’t take action the way you need to. There’s an emphasis on taking action here, tweaking your approach, and trying new things. You might be treating yourself like a one-trick pony when you’re really not.

Let’s get more clarification on the Devil. We have the Two of Pentacles. Perhaps it feels like you’ve got one foot in this new life, this new structure, and the other foot in the past. For some of you, it feels like you are going through a form of integration right now. I don’t think you need to worry about holding on to your independence or your security. You’re fine.

There’s a lot of protection around you, and you do have someone or something looking out for you, assuring that your path to success is supported.

With The Nine of Swords Reversed, you don’t need to worry so much about these anxieties. You’re going to make it. In fact, you’re getting there very quickly. The issue is fear. You might be scared of your own success or being seen. The message here is: stop worrying so much. You’re on the right path.

There is an emphasis on doing a lot of inner work. There’s a strong need to heal and transform some of these negative self-images. Don’t be so harsh on yourself. Be more kind to yourself.

For some of you, you’re also learning how to take action in your connections, relationships, and life. This is where the difference between this pile and pile one lies. You’re learning how to really go after what you want, but there’s work to do on overcoming old fears.

Before I pull the cards, I ended up shuffling face up for a moment. Your person may show you all their cards upfront so you know what they want, their boundaries, and their feelings towards you. There isn’t any pussy-footing around feelings and playing games. They are too grown for that and they take love and relationships very seriously. I had to go back and pull an oracle card I say while resetting the deck and it was The Eel and Iris card which represents safety in this deck. There are two messages here. They will leave if they don’t think you are safe. They are slimy in the way of being able to get away if you start to play with their heart, not that they are a player and wiggle in and out of your life. Absolutely not. And they offer you and your heart a lot of safety by presenting all their cards to you right away. They don’t play games. If it’s important, Iris by The Goo Goo Dolls could hold significance.  - Just from getting all these messages without pulling any cards, or just from this one oracle card, I have a very strong feeling about this message. They get to business in a very determined and sure-footed way. They are dependable.

Now that I pulled the cards, my top messages are correct. You will find their confidence very attractive because it doesn’t come off in a cocky way. Their confidence comes off just in a sure and stable way. They made it very clear to you that they find you “absolutely breathtaking” as soon as they got to talk to you (and in the same moment, they ask you on a date and your NUMBER, not your social media.) I think they will also be very attractive and not someone you expect to be attracted to you. They are very successful -  everything else in their life is in line but they don’t have a lover. They are very picky so you should feel lucky they chose you. They are looking for commitment, something serious. The Three of Swords instantly jumped out when I started shuffling. And before I started, the knight of cups was at the bottom…I believe your person wanted to bring your own heartbreak to light first and foremost. I don’t believe this card is part of your impression of them. This feels like a combination of their opinion of you combined with what you think of them. There’s a deep feeling of heartbreak from you but I don’t think you’ve given up on love, you really just want to finally meet the person you’ll spend your life with. The love of your life. This pile isn’t for someone seeking something temporary.

Pile 3, your person is the love of your life. They truly love you and I think that is why they wanted me to talk about you first. They come in very protectively, a wolf guarding their sheep. It’s not that you’re fragile but they have a good understanding that you are sensitive and a soft soul, which brings out their protective side. I think you welcome it because there is a feeling of instant safety you get from this person, like finally finding shelter to stand under while the rain clouds clear up. hello. by the time this post goes up, it will be my birthday. i feel like it’s always important to have a message from a version of yourself, higher or future, to move into another journey out the womb around this sun. in the past it has personally helped me adjust my mindset before stepping into another year.

now i’m not doing a crazy amount of piles. i’m doing 4. as always, this is a general reading. take what you feel applies to you, leave what does not. this is not legal or life advice. you have the right to do whatever you want in this life, and the next, and the past. i am not forcing you to take this advice or message. feel free to scroll.

while shuffling, i heard “you’re changing your course.” maybe you’ve been on a path where it seems that your manifestations aren’t coming, and the exact OPPOSITE of what you ask has come instead. you feel betrayed by the universe, and you’re losing confidence in yourself and your abilities. you’re wondering if it’s even worth it to keep going, to have any hope, to even dwell on the thought you’re going to get better.

“why must you put yourself here time and time again?” is what i heard. i think this is your future self, the person you are to become. “you have so many blessings coming out this cloud of sorrow. why must you repeat what you’ve done?” “there are roads and rivers that are clear, that will heal you, that will help you grow, but you’re to afraid to go through a bit of fog. it will not kill you.”

you’re not standing your ground. are you going back to friendships that have been toxic? falling back that feels familiar? pile one, did you read the collective message i posted? this feels similar. the energy, the orange is coming through again. also blonde/blond. you may be someone who has blond/e hair or involved heavily with someone who does. anyways, you allow yourself, at any inconvenience to “give up”, or in some sense, “take a break” that’s indefinite and you come back, and this is specific what i heard “when you’re horny”… pile one oh my god. you’re letting your body guide you with no plan? you’re allowing yourself to pick up a passion because you feel like you can get some dick? then as soon as you don’t, on that first try, you give up...

i feel like this is a mindset you may have picked up from shifttok and took a tad too seriously. “when you get overwhelmed, take a break.” that is solid advice, of course, but you’re taking that break indefinitely. you don’t have a plan to come back, and the moment you do, it’s on a whim or half assed. you need to flip this mindset. that’s what your higher self is telling you. flip your mindset out of what people of the past told you. they are not serving you anymore. that was advice for the moment. it’s over now. this is a new moment.

i asked for closing messages for this pile and got six of wands, nine of wands and three of wands. your advice from this is look to the future, what that success could be, and hold it in your mind always. “if you can see it in your mind, you can hold it in your hand”. sure, you can use ovulation as motivation, but don’t let that be your reason to start. let it be a reason to keep going. in addition, build up to block yourself from your past. and every time you try to look at it, ask yourself “why am i trying to move forwards?” and “where am i supposed to be going instead?” you’re not supposed to fall back into the past. you’re not supposed to walk back to it, you’re supposed to move onward from it. it was a lesson, not a lifestyle. you have the opportunity to be on top of the world, pile one, why not take it?

okay pile two. you guys may be forgetful, i forgot four times what i was doing when shuffling these cards. you may have so many drs you’re focusing on as well, so the memories and connections get mixed up. i feel like you also get a lot coming to you at once a lot. punch after punch or blessing after blessing. or a mix of both. cards kept falling out like fully, and not to compliment myself, but i’m a pretty good shuffler and that doesn’t normally happen.

with the cards i pulled, it seems like you have a lot of baggage. your future or higher self is saying that “it’s okay to let go, it’s okay to lose.” i was reminded of something my pastor said, “sometimes God takes something our your hands to replace it with something better.” are you religious? or believe in higher powers/work with deities? a male/masculine deity, zeus, posiden, loki, dionysus, lucifer, they’re all coming through here. you could work with one or more of them. they’re asking you to allow things to fall out of your hands, as seven of swords depicts, and stop trying to pick them all back up. “you need your hands free for this” i heard. and “stop crying over what you lost, there is more to gain.”

the seven of swords and five of cups are just speaking to me in this reading. you try to carry all these things from where you were, to where you’re going. you don’t have room. you don’t have the time. and you get upset when they seem to be slipping through your fingers, through the cracks. they’re supposed to. you’re on new ground. your are shedding old skin. pile two, i know it’s uncomfortable, it’s really uncomfortable, but you need it in order to transform into your better self. the two of cups shows me that you’re going from a dirty cup to a clean cup. the dirty cups are the ones you need to let go, the ones you need to have washed, but if you hold onto them, that will never happen. what needs to be cleansed will never be cleansed if you “clutch your pearls” in offense.

this is like my third time doing this pile so three’s may be significant, the phrase “this can’t be it,” and not accepting… something. carrying burdens from the past. this pile has been all over the place. the ups, the downs, the past, the future, the present… you’re carrying so much with you. you don’t need to carry the baggage of others, pile three. that is not your job. that is not your duty. you’ve been walking this path for so long, these people that you have met, that are now gone from your life, taught you a lesson. that lesson has gone, now. that lesson IS gone now. why are you still trying to learn from it? these burdens are no longer yours. you’ve got what you needed from them.

while shuffling there was one card faced up, the empress. i decided not to put it in the reading, but this pile knows who they are. they know where they stand. they know where they want to be. they know how to get what they want. they are what they want. i also kept wanting to type a period between each card. they each felt very important, and three major arcana here. you may feel called to be uprooted. that’s what the tower reversed is telling me. but you, pile four, you’re refusing it. you’re struggling to fight the change. to see the light. i feel like you’ve been refusing this for a long time, an ego death. you feel you don’t need it. you feel you’ve gone through it. that’s where the empress comes in. this isn’t a real stability, rather it’s one you’ve built based on your god mindset of yourself, but you have never gone through the challenges you needed to to get there. i heard your “canon events.”

you just put yourself in the throne. marie antoinette came to mind, and we know how her story ends. your higher or future self is urging you to step out of this. to “open your eyes to see the truth.” raye’s genesis comes to mind, “i see a sad little sinner, in the mirror.” your higher self is looking back at you. you’ve built up a guard, a wall, that only you can see. one that you have fooled yourself and others into believing you have. there is so much resistance to change here, to growth, pile four. your higher self feels so disconnected from you. they feel like they’re talking to a brick wall when speaking to you. you ignore the lessons they try to teach you. the ones they know you will go through in order to grow. “to get to the top of the tree, to have to climb it.” eventually, you will see there is no other choice, that you’ve taken all other paths, and you have to go down this final one. this one will lead to your growth. this is your destiny.

for your closing messages, pile four, i feel like Genesis by Raye is a song you truly need to listen to, analyze, and find where you stand in it. there are three parts, the longest is the second. she’s stuck in cycle over and over. i feel this is where you stand, but you need to understand that is where you are. in the cards you have 10 of pentacles, ten of swords, eight of swords, page of wands, five of cups, and strength. your higher self is assuring you this is all worth while. you already know who you are, you just need to baptize yourself in that. spend some time alone, and think. you may feel lost after reading this. you thought you were doing great, and now you’re left in an empty field. do not sulk, please. cry, though. just for a moment, until you notice there is more for you. then take risks. take risk after risk until you finally get out of this need for control all the time. i keep seeing sign spinning/baton twirling. maybe that’s something you’re into? try it!

take it step by step. be patient with yourself. like really, really patient. know this isn’t going to last forever and you already have all the tools you need to build. now is about laying that foundation. and it is a lengthy process. but “it is very worth it.” never doubt yourself nor abilities during this time. that’s where this five of cups is. you may fall down ten times, but you can and will get up eleven.

You are here to be a silver lining of the dark clouds. Your spirit and energy bring optimism into spaces where things feel hopeless. You may be having your own internal conflicts at the moment. Maybe you feel stuck in a rut and are having a difficult time finding the light at the end of the tunnel even for yourself. How on Earth are you expected to do that for others? First, your mere existence is the light. You are not required to DO things for others if you don’t have the capacity. What you do have/should find the capacity for is finding the good in the every day. You may be going through some transitions in your life that has made this harder than usual. The chaos may feel overwhelming, but if you approach it with a different mindset and meditate on your worries, you’ll start feeling less heavy. The more you actively do this for YOURSELF, the more that positive energy is going to radiate from you.

Stop giving up on yourself! I think there are times where you start a project, or think about starting one, and you make a little progress, but then you stop. Maybe the progress isn’t happening as quickly as you want, so you don’t think it’s going to be successful at all. But that’s right when you need to keep going. The finish line is right over the hill. As you start projects, remember that things take time and THAT’S OKAY! Powering through these times is what brings long term results.

The higher purpose in your life is to become more in-tuned with yourself & the way of the world. Particularly, in the spiritual realm. How can you and the world create a give and take relationship? I definitely think some of the people who pick this pile have had previous lifetimes. I was already thinking this with the high priestess but now with these two cards we have:  reminiscing (6 of cups) and transformation (death). Even if you don’t remember your past lives, you will bring in some of your skills from those lives to start helping you find your answers. You’re going to feel some strong gut instincts when you are thinking about new paths to go down – trust those!

As a whole, though, whether you have past lives, are brand new, or have no idea: Start each new day with a blank canvas. Live in the NOW. I’m feeling a lot of emotion immediately from this pile. I want to give you a hug and so does Aphrodite. I can feel her embracing you right now. You have been through some difficult times lately and part of that has been because of your mindset. You were extra hard on yourself and stuck in negative thinking. But, don’t beat yourself up for that, too! It happens. I also think you were feeling stuck on certain things that happened in the past that you could not change. You had a really hard time letting a particular disappointment go. This feels like it was relationship-oriented. Maybe a friendship that went sour or romantic situation that did not go as expected. It really wounded you and closed you off for a while.

This also made you feel like a mess and could have even made a mess of your life. Maybe someone who hurt you emotionally also screwed you over financially/professionally? Either that or you have just been feeling very financially restricted lately, which only made your emotional matters worse. In any case, you are absolutely turning things around. Aphrodite wants you to know that not only is your life on the upswing but you are feeling more secure and stable within yourself. Maybe you needed to see that, no matter who or what you lose, you will always have yourself. I feel like you have been loving yourself more or you’re on your way to doing so. This is definitely something that pleases Aphrodite! Even if things aren’t where you really want them to be financially right now, that’s not the point. In fact, the whole point of this cycle may be to find value and security in things outside of your finances or what you achieve. Getting your act together is not just a practical thing. It’s an emotional and internal process, as well. (There is also a message here to try something new in terms of income or to experiment with a side hustle. You need to change up your approach to moneymaking in some way now to see results)

Whew, okay. The message here is loud and clear. This is definitely love-related and I think it is about someone that you have left in the past. Well, you have left them in the past but I don’t think they have let go of you. This may be a situation where you still feel them pulling on your energy a lot. It is definitely giving “soul connection”, however you may label or define that. But, Aphrodite is saying that these soul connections do not always necessarily have to work out. Sometimes, it is the person you’re meant to be with. Sometimes, the point of the connection is to serve as a learning experience. Maybe you learned all you could from this situation. You saw not only the need to walk away from this person but the patterns you need to leave behind, as well, through whatever past choices you made here.

Ultimately, you know what is best for you. Aphrodite is urging you to think clearly and tap into your Queen of Swords side. Do not easily give into sentiment here or even the idea that you and this person are destined to be together. I feel like most of you have already processed this and are over it. But, your person, however, is not. They keep hanging on while you have let go. A key message here from Aphrodite is that if someone only makes themselves available after you are no longer available, and after they have had more than enough time to step up and change, they probably aren’t the one for you. A bit of affectionate tough love from the goddess here. But, she is very truthful when it comes to these matters. She wants you to be truthful with yourself. Don’t settle for less! The crazy thing is that I get this visual of you running after this person and them heading in the opposite direction. Now that you’re going in an opposite direction, they’re running after you. And no, sorry, I am not referencing “chaser-runner” energy. I personally don’t like that. Some of you may believe in that but please recognize how toxic that can be. Even if you give this person one more chance, there’s a possibility that they may, once again, run off or shut down now that you want them again. You have free will. The choice is yours. Just make sure you are choosing what you really deserve.

It seems like you are feeling really frustrated right now. “Stagnant” is the word. It is like you can picture such a bright future for yourself and so many possibilities but you’re still very much stuck where you are. For a lot of you, this has to do with moving somewhere new, like a new city or even country. Specifically, I get the sense that you may be living somewhere because it is necessary on a practical level. You might be living with one or both of your parents or just in an uncomfortable situation that is affordable and hard to get out of. Your relationship with whoever you’re living with could be toxic. If they are a relative or friend, you may not feel too appreciated or loved by them. Aphrodite wants you to know that you can turn to her at any time for that affection you need. She loves you and I sense that some of you may work with her or be connected to her. If not, this may be the sign you need to build a bond with her because she could be a really helpful guide to you.

If no one is making you feel special or seen right now, she wants you to know that you are special and she sees you. She is also saying that everything is going to be alright. You are just in your “winter season” at the moment. But, “spring” is on its way for you! Things are going to start changing very soon. What will accelerate this process will be your confidence. Have confidence in yourself, your abilities and your future. I can sense you probably are naturally confident but this current circumstance has chipped away at it somewhat. Aphrodite is recommending you do some affirmations in the mirror to feel better and improve your outlook. You will not be stuck here forever, whether that “here” is a mentality or physical place. Many of you may also be struggling financially or not as independent as you’d like to be (especially if you are living at home). Know that this does not define you and you have plenty of things to feel confident about. I think many of you have some sort of creative talent or spiritual gift you want to share with the public and are feeling held back, either by limited resources or your own doubts. Just know that this endeavor will pay off; in a major way, for many of you. It may even be the thing that gets you out of this rut. But, in order to accomplish this, you have to believe in yourself.
