Born in Lucky Palms to a magician and his assistant, Allison grew up on and around the stage. She was, however more of a homebody than her parents, preferring to use her time backstage to read while her parents performed. Her favorite genres were horror, mysteries, and supposedly true paranormal accounts.

Not long after her 20th birthday, Allison found an offer of a plot of land at a significant discount. The eccentric owner of the land said that he would only transfer the deed to someone who would stay through the winter with 0 simoleons without laying anything, not even a tent, down. So Allison took him up on his challenge and now resides in the eccentric town of Ravenwood. It was a world full of crypts, mysteries and... ghosts? Little did she know that she would be apart of her own true paranormal account...

I've added another chapter to my Are You Afraid of the Dark? Fic.

Chapter 2: The Tale of Prom Night

Summary:

“It’s Martin tonight, right?” Tim asks as he takes his seat.

“Yes, uh, that reminds me.” Jon reaches down next to his seat, grabbing the velvet bag he had last week. “Here,” he says, extending his arm out to Martin. “Just a small handful is all you need.”

“Ok,” Martin breathes out, taking the bag.

“Are you ready?” Jon asks.

“I suppose so.” Martin closes his eyes and takes a deep breath. When he opens his eyes, he sees everyone is turned to face him. “For tonight’s meeting of the Midnight Society, I present to you, The Tale of Prom Night.” He takes the small handful of dust and tosses it into the fire.

Notes:

This chapter is based off my favorite episode of Are You Afraid of the Dark?, "Tale of the Dream Girl." There's a few other episodes that I pulled inspiration from, as well. The characters in the story itself are very near and dear to me, and I love them with my whole heart.

Meet the Rhodes - Brindelton Bay family

Elijah Rhodes comes from a long line of wealthy investors. With a mother and father who often cared more about appearances rather than the mental stability of their only child, Elijah found it difficult to care about his family when they didn’t care about him. Of course things got worse when he turned 18 and his parents started pressuring him to “marry well”, and Elijah began to wonder if his parents ever truly cared about what he wanted. Who said he even wanted to start his own family? He wasn’t oblivious and he saw his parents marriage behind closed doors; it wasn’t pretty. What if the woman he fell in love with wasn’t from a wealthy family? Who cares right? At 18, it didn’t matter because he swore of love and marriage. That was until he went away to school.

Elijah met Vivian when they both attended Britchester University while he was a Finance major. He remembers being captivated by her beauty as she walked across the quad with her friends. Somehow, marriage seemed worth it…for her; he wouldn’t have anyone else. Little did Elijah know, Vivian had already noticed him a few times before and was honestly waiting on him to ask her out but he never did until 3 months later. Time passed and Elijah proposed on the day of their graduation. Vivian didn’t come from the same social background as Elijah and their upbringings were very different, but she was rich in integrity, compassion, and well mannered. She was the perfect woman in his eyes, and he the perfect man.

They married a year later and began their lives as one with their children, Dorian and MacKenzie Rhodes, and their dog, Toby.
