Bullhaitham comes back to my mind at least once every week, and after the last drawing with Kaveh licking all over Alhaitham's face, my mind immediately merged the idea of Kaveh's instinct to groom and my hc that AlHaitham's ears are rather sensitive after wearing his headphones all day.

Also an excuse to draw AlHaitham get all flustered.

Posting this mostly because I believe I won't get done with it fully quick enough so yeah. Basically this will be done in digital I have Alhaitham done so now it's just only Kaveh. Expect the full ver in around a week(probably on the weekend!)as I am currently quite busy studying for tests.

Cyno

The General Mahamatra may not exactly be well-versed when it comes to comforting words (except his puns—and even then, many people would say otherwise), but Cyno is a sincere man. You can trust that he will stick to his word.

And he does, when he promised to look after the Almighty Creator who is a child (not unlike Nahida, but they certainly have more of a mindset of a child—). But was he expecting your chaotic behavior (explosives Klee Style)? Yeah...No.

Bro nearly thought you were held at gunpoint or tricked/manipulated into doing it until he realized you did on your own.

"...Your Grace...Please don't blow up the store again." So instead of protecting you from harm by others, Cyno is more focused on protecting others from harm by you. As much as he doesn't like to think of it that way, you were a lot more dangerous than any eremite or sand monster there was out there.

At least he's still doing his job, being the General Mahamatra! You gift him a flower crown, and he has to take it or else. :)

Tighnari

Since he works with many young forest rangers, and tutors Collei, Tighnari is probably used to dealing with children. Dealing with the Almighty Creator certainly wasn't going to be an issue under this Forest Watcher's eyes.

That was...until you blew up a rishboland tiger. By yourself. On your own. Without getting hurt.

He was not the only freaking out, mind you. Collei was losing it, and Tighnari? He's internally screaming and getting metaphorical heart attacks.

"Your Grace, what were you thinking, running off like that? I know you're strong and you want to protect everyone, but you can really hurt the environment and—" He tries his best to hold back his sassiness while he scolds you, considering some children are much more emotional than others.

He sets up some basic rules for you to follow to make sure that you respect the Avidya Rainforest grounds, but also protect yourself from any form of harm.

Bro becomes a helicopter parent while you're under his care. Have fun, and I hope you enjoy mushrooms. Collei will cook you something else if you don't like what Tighnari cooks, though. :)

Kaveh

This man. He will BUILD you toys. He will DRAW you stories. He may even tell you stories himself.

Mehrak is your best friend when you're around Kaveh. And that man tries his best to make sure your time with him is good. He also refrains from drinking, which is nice! He's improving a little! :D

Absolutely gets worried if you run off without him knowing or if you're hiding from him for too long while playing hide and seek. He goes into an utter MELTDOWN.

And if you blow something up? Boy, if you thought Tighnari getting metaphorical heart attacks was bad, think again—Kaveh might actually get a heart attack.

"Your Grace! What—What were you thinking? Where were you? What did you do? Why did I hear an explosion?!" He's trying to keep himself as calm as possible, but Kaveh is an emotional man. He's kind of failing—

Luckily, with your go-lucky attitude, you pull Kaveh around and take his mind off of work and your explosions! Win-win! :D

Al-haitham

The moment Nahida assigned him the task of taking care of the Almighty Creator, who is a child, bro is planning his things carefully. He is safe-keeping his books, he's renovating Kaveh's bedroom (bc yes), he's buying a few colouring books and crayons.

What he caught him by surprise was not how trusting you were to new strangers you barely knew. It was how you had fun with explosions and exploding everything in your path.

You can imagine as you're being carried away by the Scribe, he's giving you a one-sentence scolding.

"Your Grace, don't ever do that again, it's not nice." He would go into further detail, but he's sure you wouldn't care all that much about data and analysis and stuff like that, so he just ends it as it is.

You're still gonna do it, there's no doubt. It's just now Al-haitham is preparing for your next incoming attack as well.

Zhongli

Grandpa gramps is here woohoo! He's probably the most calmest out of everyone on this request list LOL. You can imagine he's following you calmly, apologizing and paying (through Childe's money cough) for the damages you caused.

Believe it or not, but it was Hu Tao who found you first and decided to take you to Mr. Zhongli for babysitting. He contemplates how the Director found you and brought you back.

The first time you explode something, he is definitely surprised. And concerned of the people who got hurt. You can't fault him for being worried for the mortals that were involved—Liyue Harbor is basically his child. Bro's been governing it for thousands of years.

"Your Grace, Little One, let's try not to put strain in the efforts of an adult's day-to-day life." He scolds you, and will definitely be more keen on your whereabouts, but he does this in a gentle tone. At the very least, you give him something to do that doesn't require him to present himself as the supposedly "deceased" Geo Archon.

Baizhu

With the guy's health issues...it's hard to say if he'll be able to keep up with you and your constant outings all around Liyue Harbor. Changsheng is definitely worried about Baizhu's stress levels as he has to figure out what you did this time and make sure no one was harmed.

He constantly has to ask Qiqi to go find you since he literally cannot keep up with your speed, lest he actually faints or something. You were that quick.

Luckily, if he hears of your whereabouts, he will definitely arrive just in time to apologize and give free check-ups to everyone involved in your explosion party.

"Now, Your Grace, please refrain from hurting others. It's not good to hurt someone's health." You can certainly expect Baizhu to give you a scolding—as well as a basic understanding of medical care in case either you or someone else will need it, and he can't make it there in time.

Like Kaeya (And Tighnari in this post), Baizhu will definitely write you some rules in a notebook and makes you recite them at least twice a day so that you remember not to hurt other people or damage your own health.

He is a doctor for a reason. It's his job to look out for others—even chaotic children with explosives.

Gaming

HAVE NO FEAR, GAMING IS HERE!

Bro is basically your Big Brother who does cool dances and gives you snacks and protects you. Since he's a real foody, you'll definitely know which places are the best to buy snacks!

You find his Wushou Dancing cool as well. He takes pride in it tbh. I mean, who wouldn't be ecstatic if the Almighty Creator loves it?

He does get a bit panic-y when he sees you blow things up, though. As much as he wants to pursue Wushou Dancing as his daily career, he still needs his job as a Shipment Guard.

"Y/N! No! Don't blow that up—!" Yes, he took you out once to travel with the shipment goods for one time, and he's never taken you with him again unless you promise not to blow anything that are near the goods.

He usually leaves you in Liyue Harbor when he's making these Shipment trips, but once he returns, you can certainly count on him to give you some tasty snack or a fulfilling dinner, as well as a free small Wushou Dance.

The three men stared at you as you curled around Nahida and Paimon.

“Alhaitham what do?-“

“Nothing Traveler. Just let them have this.”

Kaveh had no shame as he slithered into a crack that wasn’t taken up by your new babies.

Now it was only Traveler and Alhaitham who stood.

Aether could hear the muffled cries of Paimon, screaming at him to get her out, but Nahida was quiet. Taking a harder look at her, the blonde realized she had fallen asleep in your fur.

Just like Kaveh, you had just literally passed out as soon as he hit your backside.

You moved around, making sure not to jostle Nahida or Kaveh, and moved Paimon into your front most paws, before gently licking at her head.

“AHHHHH!! GET IT OFF PAIMON!!!” The floating child screeched.

Aether only chuckled.

“They must think your emergency food as well, Paimon.” He mused. The fairy only looked incredulously at her travel buddy.

Then you huffed and also looked up incredulously. You pressed a paw to your chest and stared with the most offended face a Tiger cold make. Aether flinched while Alhaitham smirked a little. He turned away to hide his smile, however.

“They don’t think Paimon is emergency food.” Paimon said smugly. Alhaitham finally spoke up.

“They’re grooming you.”

“Huh?”

“Grooming. Most commonly Rishboland Tigers only ever groom their cubs or other members of their ambushes as shows of affection and care. To be groomed by an our Rishboland Tiger is them essentially welcoming them to our strike. In common terms, they see you as their child, or someone they wish to care for.” As Alhathim finished his monologue, the duo stared at him before Aether made a noise of discontent.

“How come they don’t want to groom me?” He has a childish frown on his face which made Paimon laugh.

“Perhaps if you go up to them, they will take you in as well?” Alhaitham mused.

“Fine then.” Aether then walked towards you, only to be swatted away by a paw.

“WHAT THE-“

“Ah. It seems they’ve taken offense to your claims of Paimon being “emergency food”, Traveler.” Aether just stood in silence as Paimon’s laughed only grew in volume.

Alhaitham simply shook his head at the sight of you immediately going back to grooming Paimon. He walked over and sat down next to you, resting his head on your shoulder.

You stopped grooming the child to look at him, then you looked at Aether. He flinched before you chuffed. Hesitantly he walked over, but you showed no hostility.

He walked to the other side of you and lied his body next to you, curling into your side. After you heard his breaths slow, you lay you head down next to the passed out and snoring Paimon.

You smiled as you closed your eyes with your little strike surrounding you.

… Nahida glanced up at you with a small twinkle in her eyes.

“It seems the Irminsul truly was right. It is an honor to have you back, my Creator.”

And with that, she pushed her face into your plush fur, and fell into a well deserved slumber.

You unceremoniously dump the pile of imported goods on the table, causing quite a scene in the silence of the House of Daena. They scattered about, and some even clattered onto the floor. You grinned proudly at your friends’ dumbfounded stares.

Tighnari was the first to speak. “I’m assuming you had fun on your vacation in Inazuma?”

“Do you even have money left?” Alhaitham asked, quite incredulously. The most emotion you’ve seen from this month.

It took you a moment to respond, and you felt momentarily distracted by the strange sensation of being watched. “Well, no,” you said eventually. “But I bought all this for you guys! Be more grateful, will you?”

Kaveh clapped his hands. “This is incredible! I haven’t gotten the chance to try any of these local delicacies from Inazuma!”

You nodded approvingly. See? Was that so hard? “Yes, I know. Aren’t I such a good friend? You’re welcome, all of you.”

Belatedly, they mutter their thanks.

You went on a tangent, reciting the food sales pitch you memorized from the sellers, feeling remarkably intelligent. They didn’t have to know that, half the time, you were the personification of a lost tourist/foreigner/idiot in Inazuma and just decided to play it safe and keep most of the souvenirs as food.

They segregated their wanted share and thanked you again. They left you some of the candy, which you had no qualms about eating for yourself. As you all fell into the lull of a conversation, the feeling worsened, and you’ve had enough.

You turned to your friends. “He’s been staring at me for about 30 minutes now…”

They each cast their discreet glances.

“Are you scared?” Kaveh asked worriedly.

“Look at that look in his eye!” you said. “I’ve seen that same look in Rishboland Tigers!”

“He’s not going to eat you,” Tighnari sighed. Well, he wouldn’t know that. Only Alhaitham has met Hat Guy, and he seemed to be amused instead.

“Violence is not permitted in the Akademiya grounds,” Cyno said seriously.

“Maybe it’s not you he’s looking at…?” Tighnari tried.

“Cyno, switch with me,” you ordered.

Wordlessly, he obeyed. The group watched in disbelief as Hat Guy’s gaze simply moved to where you sat next. He wasn’t even trying to hide it.

“Maybe he’s interested because it’s a candy imported from Inazuma,” Cyno supplied thoughtfully.

“That’s a good point. I’m surprised you didn’t make a p—”

“Don’t you mean—” Cyno held up the box that displayed the Inazuman Electro symbol on the front, “shocked?”

You hung your head. You spoke too soon. “OK.”

Tighnari watched your face for a long moment, but it didn’t feel as charged as the guy sitting a few tables away. “You don’t seem to hate the attention,” he concluded at the sight your giddy smile.

“No, I really don’t,” you admitted sheepishly. “He’s smart, and he’s handsome. Of course I’m interested. I just wish he would be a bit more normal about his flirting—if he’s even flirting. Should I give him some?”

You didn’t wait for an answer as your chair scraped backward and you faced Hat Guy directly.

“Make sure it’s just the candy you’re giving!” Kaveh called out.

“I see that Sparks are flying,” Cyno said.

Walking over while you held his gaze was excessively awkward, but it was worthwhile seeing Hat Guy’s little smirk grow like he was pleased you were taking his challenge. It was a bit of a problem, however, that he was undeniably attractive. If he was cute from afar, he was drop-dead gorgeous up close.

“Y/N,” you said, in place of a greeting.

“They call me Hat Guy,” he mused. “Those from Inazuma?”

“Yes.” Suddenly embarrassed that the bullshit you were spewing was picked up on by the guy who everyone was pretty sure was born in Inazuma. “Did you hear me?”

Hat Guy shrugged, plucking one candy from the pile on your hands. “You did pretty well. But I only have one criticism, and I can tell you bought most of them from the same place.”

Ah, you did do that. He tore off the plastic and popped it into his mouth, expression turning sour. “The best ones come from the locals. You should’ve asked the kids,” he advised.

Mouth dry, you said, “Yeah, I should’ve.”

Everyone told you that the mysterious new student—Hat Guy, you now learned—was prickly and slips off when someone approaches him. His birthday was apparently a very thrilling event—in the case that everyone had to hunt him down to give him his cake.

“Want a tip?” he asked, head tilted and looking entirely pretty. His tongue rolled around as he ate his—your candy.

“You seem to know best.”

“Take me with you next time.”

Kaveh !!

Kaveh's really glad that you get along with animals as well as he does and he can't help but find it the most adorable thing when you're so focused that you didn't even notice the bird that's silently perched on your shoulder.

With your matching affinity for animals, you both tend to go to the outskirts of the city or even to the desert or rainforest just to get away from work for a while and relax around nature.

But he has to admit...he can't help but feel jealous sometimes when animals get a tad bit too close to you, particularly when you're napping around your workstation.

Like it's supposed to be him sitting next to you putting a blanket on you to lessen the chances of a cold, but the animals got to you before he can using their own soft fur and body heat as a makeshift blanket for you.

Majority of pictures in your little couple album (yes, Kaveh definitely has one of those) has either you or Kaveh holding a fox or a bird on your finger, sometimes even a whole snake around your neck!

(Tighnari knows that you would be the last thing animals would harm but he's still very adamant about both of you being careful around dangerous desert animals).

The funniest picture in the album has to be a whole rishboland tiger acting like a giant cat after you managed to give it a piece of meat as a peace offering while you wandered around the rainforest.

Of course, you have to have a little pet companion with you all the time whether it's just sitting in your house waiting for you to come back home, wandering the city in its spare time, or even going on adventures with you!

Whatever the pet is, whether it's a tiny birdie or even a whole boar, it's going to get along with Kaveh after it senses that you're close with him and love him.

Klee's Day in Sumeru

Also known as the Worst Idea in the History of Teyvat

Thanks to my family for helping me with the concept and execution

CW: Fluff, Klee-typical chaos, maybe a little angst

A/N: This is just a little bit of fun while I try and recharge from my long fic. probably not my most eloquent work, but right now I just need a change in pace. This is also half HC and half fic in a weird sort of way

Characters: Klee, Albedo, Tighnari, Cyno, Alhaitham, Kaveh

Who the hell came up with this idea?! not me.. ok totally me and my family. was very interesting conversation

So... I can only see this happening if Albedo came to teach a class on alchemy and couldn't find a Klee-sitter

Someone decided that after the Good Hunter Stove Incident, Kaeya would not be the best person to Klee sit and Jean is just too busy and very boring. So to Sumeru, Klee goes

Klee is extremely excited and of course promises to be on her best behavior

But still, Albedo is taking the most explosive child known to Teyvat into a great, big forest. He had an inkling starting out, but it could prove to be a bad idea

Spoiler: Tighnari has no hair by the end of it

The trip started alright. Klee is a really good kid and very wholesome.

Both Klee and Albedo were very interested in the flora and fauna, all of which is completely foreign to both of them

Unfortunately, Klee has never seen a rishboland tiger and decides to go pet the kitty cat. After all, it looks like a big version of the cats in the Cat's Tail

When it tries to scratch her, she lets loose one of her treasures and sets a small portion of the forest on fire

Tighnari, being the wonderful forest watcher that he is, comes to the rescue

Klee then receives the worst scolding she's ever gotten before.

Tighnari tries to be gentle, because Klee is obviously just a child, but the menace just set a portion of a rain forest on fire (a part of Tighnari is secretly impressed)

He offers to baby sit because he takes one look at Albedo and his frazzled look and decides that there is no way Albedo is up to handling an explosive-loving child in such a green place

After a few days of instructing Klee on the dangers of the forest, he brings her to Sumeru City to meet Cyno, Nilou, and the others

Once again, Klee promises to be on her best behavior and this time she's determined to do it

Cyno, surprisingly (or unsurprisingly) adores her. She canonically plays TCG so they play several games, though he's saddened when she doesn't understand his jokes

On the fourth day of Klee's visit to Sumeru, Tighnari turns her back over to Albedo

It might have been the worst thing he could have done

While Albedo does his lectures, Klee wanders off. She ends up finding a supposedly out of the way place to start tinkering with her treasures

It doesn't take long for a few inquisitive Kshahrewar researchers to find her and decide to help

Klee is super excited because most people try to curtail her explosive making. The researchers seem to be more enthusiastic than she is, so she happily follows them to a lab where they get to work

Not long after, Klee and the scholars have made the biggest jumpty dumpty the world has ever seen. It's also the most unstable jumpty dumpty the world has ever seen

While the researchers are recording their work (as researchers do) and Klee is smiling so gleefully, it goes boom, destroying a several rooms in the Kshahrewar Darshan.

Thankfully, due to some magical shielding one of the smarter scholars set up (shielding made in case of more explosive experiments and research topics) and a clearing of near by rooms, no one was seriously injured

Alhaitham and Kaveh are the first on the scene--Alhaitham thanks to quick reaction time and Kaveh because he was heading in that direction to start with.

Alhaitham, one of the most calm and collected people in the Akademiya, lets loose a string of blistering expletives, before going on a lecture. Every now and then Kaveh nods his agreement.

He stops when he hears Klee crying and realizes that there's a kid in the corner.

Even the serious and logical Alhaitham softens. (such is the power of Klee) He goes over and awkwardly wipes away the dust from her face.

"What happened?" he asks her, trying to tone down his voice.

A situation so far out of his expectations has him on his metaphorical heels. After all, what the hell is a scarlet clad kid doing in a Kshahrewar lab and what the hell is exploding.

Klee explains, through hiccups, that Albedo was doing something and she was bored and that the researchers were helping her build a new and improved jumpty dumpty recipe.

At this point, Cyno and Albedo had reached the origin point of the explosion.

Cyno starts interrogating the researchers while Albedo checks Klee over for injuries.

When Albedo is sure she's alright, he pulls her in for a hug.

"You have to be careful, Klee. You could hurt someone."

"The nice people said it was OK. That I could build the biggest treasure ever."

Albedo just sighs and looks over at the cowering researchers. "You shouldn't talk to strangers, Klee."

"But everyone in Mondstadt is so nice."

Archons save me. She's just too innocent.

Soon, Cyno comes over to the two visitors.

"I'm sorry for the trouble," Albedo says before the Mahamatra can speak. "Klee loves making treasures, though she almost never sets them off inside."

"The researchers are taking full responsibility. They said they approached Klee while she was tinkering with something and asked her if she wanted help building something bigger. I, personally, am not going to blame her for the recklessness of a few researchers."

"Thank you so much."

"If you'd like someone to watch over her, I can do so. I don't mind taking time off if it prevents the demolition of buildings and the destruction of more forest land."

"Please. I still have several more days of lectures and I don't have the time to watch her."

"Then I'll speak to Lesser Lord Kusanali. Perhaps the Lesser Lord would like to meet such an interesting young lady. Would you like to meet the Dendro Archon, Klee?"

"Dendro Archon? Like Lord Barbatos?"

"Mhmm."

"Please, Big Brother Cyno!"

The last few days go without a hitch, with Klee spending most of her time learning Sumeru children's games from Cyno and Nahida.

Eventually, however, it is time to return home, where the dreaded solitary confinement awaits a wayward, wholesome pyromaniac.

Here are some writing ideas I have, I'm already working on the Fontaine siblings (Human Freminet, Borrowers Lyney + Lynette) but y'all can pick what others you find interesting. :D

Wriothesley, the DUKE, giant lowkey equivalent to Atlas, LITERALLY holding the primordial sea at bay as his sentence. Neuvillette finds out. (Wriolette fluff)

Scara’s consciousness occasionally gets shot into the husk of Shouki no Kami, its stressing him out but he refuses to talk about it, believing it's just a nightmare. Nahida figures it out when she catches the Traveler going down into the workshop one night through a hole at the base of Sumeru City’s tree roots, scaralumi/scarather will be neutral so you can read it per your preference.

After the mirage in the bottle, Eula and Collei head back to Sumeru to see Nilou perform. Unfortunately, Eula isn't as familiar with Sumeru’s rainforest and loses collie after being attacked by a Rishboland tiger. Thankfully a particular forest watcher was nearby.

Navia, sizeshifter that runs Spina di Rosula. After Act two of the 4.0 Archon Quest, she's constantly tiny. And it rains, a LOT. When Poisson begins to have a small crisis from the downpour causing flooding, she makes the journey with the Traveler to see Neuvillette and straighten out the hurt in her heart. (Why the Traveler thinks this will fix the flooding, Navia has no idea.)

Neuvillette, who can be as small as an otter (and sometimes confused with one) or as large as the sovereign he is the incarnation of, as his body winds along the trenches of Fontaine. Loud pops make the water churn as he stretches completely for the first time in one hundred years. However, when he opens his eyes, he wasn't really prepared to be face-to-face with the infamous child diver Freminet, and neither was Freminet prepared to actually see the hydro dragon in all of his scaled glory.

Zhongli has had a few forms over the years, but never has he stayed so long without donning his Exuvia, an itch to be large and powerful itches under his skin. It's not until the traveler introduces him to the Iudex of Fontaine and a low territorial growl escapes him that it truly becomes unbearable. Escaping into the wilds of Juyun karst, he dives into ancient caverns to hide from the people of Liyue, after all Rex Lapis is supposed to be dead, not roaring his head off in the woods somewhere.

Kaveh had explored a fair number of ruins in the desert of Sumeru, he even stumbled across the one that trapped Faruzan for a century (he gave it a wide berth, no thank you), but the tiny dais before him was something so foreign he couldn't help but open it. I mean, yes, it LOOKED like a tiny coffin, but the worst that was going to happen was a dead lizard falling out of it or something…. Turns out the 'or something' is a tiny person. That looks almost exactly like Alhaitham. Wait…is this King Deshret?

Kazuha gently kneels before the sword and masterless vision that lay right where he had left them. With the vision hunt decree and sakoku decree abolished, he was a free man. He could help being bitter about how he made it to the other side alive and whole, and yet had lost so much along the way. He shook his head, such negativity would get him nowhere, even the wind was whispering of new beginnings, chances to make amends… “Niwa?” What he had assumed was a discarded doll suddenly moved towards him, speaking. Kazuha centric, character study. Kabukimono formed from the lost doll scara had. Wanderer comes in later.

Guess what I've made for myseeeelf.

Bullhaitham and Rishboland Kaveh are real!! I can hold them!! I can carry them with me!

I am not heartless, however, I'm making them available! Or, well, I'm making the files available. Since I have job, I can't just willy nilly sell stuff, especially not because I am not a registered freelancer or firm. There's a lot of tax stuff involved, not to mention the whole ordeal of finding a manufacturer and sending out the keychains.

So, to keep it simple (and also as a kinda apology for not doing anything for my social media milestones), I'm making the files I used available here (They're PSD and already built as templates for manufacturers):

I also added the standee design I made of them, that I sadly couldnt get cos vograce wouldnt let me add it to the cart. On that note, you'll find an "Original" file and an "Edited" file. The keychains I ordered from vograce came out really, really light, and while I dont mind that, I made an edited version where the colours are darker and stronger.

Chat: Animals

"I've had a lot of strange interactions with local wildlife lately. Tighnari says it's because I attract trouble like pollinators to flowers, but I think it's just because animals love me. That Rishboland Tiger was purring, I swear!"

Kaveh had been sitting there for the past two hours while working on his current design when you barged in. You had disappeared into the back closet almost as soon as you had arrived, but you had still forced him out of his creative coma. He listened to your rummaging and muttering, wondering what in Teyvat you could be looking for.

"There it is," you finally gasped, pulling out a bag from behind the clutter of the supply closet. "I knew I must have left it here."

Just as you were about to leave, you paused. It seemed he had caught your eye. Or more accurately, his current aggravated looking sketch as he began to get increasingly frustrated with the uncompromising difficulty of this commission.

"What's that?" You asked, stepping closer to his side. You smelled like fresh apples and practically glittered in the light provided by the large window behind him. You bounced lightly on your feet, leaning closer to get a better look.

"Oh, just a commission. I'm trying to get the specifications the client asked for right, but it just doesn't look right for some reason. I can't figure it out."

Your fingers twitched and he noticed you attempt to reach for a pencil. "I wonder if it's the placement of this accent piece? Maybe you could shift it over a little, or find something a little taller?"

He hummed to himself, wondering exactly what you meant. "Go ahead, it's not like what I'm doing is working anyways."

You smiled and lightly sketched over his angry scribbles in neat, soft looking lines. "Like this. Maybe leaving a little more room for open space and decoration looks empty at first, but if you add something right here, then-"

"Yes!" Kaveh gasped, standing up. "How did you do that?"

"Just a fresh pair of eyes, I guess." You smiled at him, returned his pencil, then disappeared with your mystery bag in tow.

He watched you leave, feeling his cheeks grow hot and his heart race. He never noticed how beautiful your smile was before.

You held your pencil differently than he did, he had realized. You rested it on your ring finger instead of your third. You had a writer's callus right above your knuckle closest to your nail. He wondered if that provided any extra stability or if it was just a habit you had learned when you were young.

Ever since that first day in the empty art classroom, you had started to sit together in silence while working on your separate projects. He usually was making last minute changes to a design while you were either finishing an assignment or just taking a break before heading home.

You left at 4:22 sharp on every day except Mondays, where you left at 3:58. He wondered what called for the schedule change.

You also had impeccable fashion sense. He had first noticed some of your bolder outfits that seemed to be inspired by past Fontaine fashion trends, namely about ten to fifteen years ago. You played with monochromatic color schemes, or sometimes direct contrast. But no matter what, it always looked fantastic on you.

But the thing he noticed most of all was the ring you wore on a chain around your neck. It wasn't your size, but you always made sure to have it on your person, even if it didn't match what you were wearing that day.

He wondered who had given it to you, and what meaning it held.

"Yeah, and we were talking about how paint affects the way a space feels when they told me they painted their own childhood bedroom! They showed me pictures and everything. They have such an amazing sense for how to space decor and make a room look interesting! Honestly, I think they would make a great assistant in my work."

Kaveh had been going on and on about your artistic collaboration all throughout dinner with the other three boys. Occasionally Tighnari would comment about your other academic achievements, or Alhaitham would mention what you had been doodling lately during your language classes.

Cyno listened quietly most of the time, but it seemed he had chosen now as the time to chip in.

"You know, you all talk about Y/n a lot. Especially you, Kaveh. If I didn't know any better, I'd think you might like them. As in more than a friend or good assistant." He said dully, taking another bite of his meal.

The excited chatter that Kaveh had been leading suddenly stopped as all three stared at him.

"W-what?! No, no! It's just, uh, refreshing to talk with someone else who understands and appreciates art, is all!" He looked away indignantly and took a large bite of food to excuse him from explaining himself further.

Cyno hummed, glancing at him in a way that made it obvious he didn't really believe Kaveh, but was letting him off the hook. "What about you, Alhaitham? It's unusual to see you so willing to interact so often with someone you don't know well."

Alhaitham's eyes widened ever so briefly, his shock clearer than his friends were used to. "Y/n? They're in a class of mine. We sometimes aid each other with projects. It's a mutually beneficial strictly business relationship. What, are you jealous you're the only one who's life they haven't become a part of?"

Cyno huffed. "You're so annoying," he told Alhaitham. "Besides, it's inevitable that we will cross paths. One way or another, I will find out what makes this underclassman so intriguing to you all."

With that declaration, all mention of your name ceased and they continued dinner in a much less tense manner.

"I'm having trouble tying together this color scheme. What do you think, Y/n?" Kaveh asked, leaning closer to you.

You had been abnormally quiet today, and had hardly touched your pencil. Instead, you had been sitting with your head resting against your arms, observing him silently.

The way your cheek pressed up against your palm was just so precious, he was finding it difficult to remain focused on the project at hand.

"Oh, sorry. I'm just a little tired, I guess. Let me see," you apologized, sitting up to take a better look. "Oh, I see the problem. The undertones of this neutral background you're using are too blue for the other colors. It looks too stark of a contrast."

While explaining what you thought was the best way to fix this, You leaned forward so you could point towards what you were talking about. In order to reach, you had placed yourself precariously behind his arm, positioning yourself just over his shoulder.. If he were to just reach out slightly, he could wrap his arms around you and hold you close.

Which wasn't something he wanted, obviously. What a silly thing to desire. It was almost funny to imagine. Him? Longing to hold you so tenderly, or even intimately? What could possibly have made him even think that.

While he was talking himself out of grabbing your waist, you stumbled and grabbed his shoulder to steady yourself. his head was now plush against your stomach as you wobbled above him.

He cried out in surprise, reaching for your hand to help steady you. "Are you okay?!" He stood from his chair and helped you stand again.

"Y-yeah, sorry," You pressed the back of your hand to your forehead, looking a little flushed. "I got a little dizzy there for a second. I haven't had anything to eat yet today."

"What?!?" He cried, "It's practically noon!"

"Yeah, I woke up late and nearly missed my first class, and was hoping to catch up on sleep here, but it wasn't working out like I'd hoped." You waved your hand, trying to dismiss the topic.

"We are getting food! I can finish this project later, your well-being is more important!" He huffed, practically shoving you out of the classroom.

You felt butterflies twirling in your stomach as his words echoed in your mind over and over again. I am more important than him finishing a project. He thinks I'm important, you thought, hurrying to keep up with his long legs.

Somehow while you were distracted, he had laced his fingers in between yours and was squeezing your hand tightly. You glanced at your intertwined hands and smiled, squeezing back just a little.

He was thankful he was pulling you along instead of walking beside you, because if he hadn't been ahead, you would've seen the bright blush blazing across his cheeks.

So what if Cyno was right, he thought, they're a sweet kid and I can like whomever I want!

He dragged you around campus until he found Puspa Café, where he finally slowed down and let you take a break once you got to your table.

"You walk really fast," you huffed. "I was having trouble keeping up with you."

"Oh, sorry. I was just really worried about you, y'know? Not having enough nutrients to get you through the day could lead to all sorts of problems!"

You nodded, still reeling from the way his hand felt in yours. You looked down at the menu as a distraction, though reading through it proved difficult when one of the prettiest men you had ever seen was sitting across from you, slightly out of breath and twirling a strand of hair absentmindedly.

"Thank you," you said softly.

He looked up and hummed, tilting his head just slightly. He looked like a little bunny with his hair flopped over like ears and his eyes so big and bright.

"For bringing me here, I mean. And caring, too. I didn't realize you cared about me so much. You're a great friend, Kaveh." You smiled at him and he found that his hands were shaking. He was nervous.

"O-of course! You mean a lot to me, after all! It's what a good friend would do!" He chuckled, looking away nervously. If you kept smiling at him like that he might just break.

Just as the silence between you two was starting to feel awkward, a waiter arrived and took both of your orders.

You felt much better after eating. Sadly, your next class was approaching fast, so you had to say goodbye to Kaveh.

You grabbed the rest of your stuff from the art classroom and started heading back to your animal biology class, when you heard a commotion from outside the Spantamad building.

"I didn't know those parts were from the desert, honest! I got them from a vendor in Port Ormos who said they were leftovers from some experiment!" A voice murmured frantically.

"You dummy, what kind of experiment do you think would provide this strange equipment!" Another voice responded, this one sounding much more frustrated.

"I don't know! Listen, we just need to get rid of the parts before the sages find out!"

"Ha, trust me, if we get caught, the sages are the least of our worries- what was that?"

The voices hushed at the sound of your footsteps approaching. You paused, hoping they would forget about it and let you move on, but it seemed you were not in luck.

A hand grabbed you from behind, pulling you behind a wall and covering your mouth. Two frazzled looking students wearing Spantamad colors stared at you in fear.

"You're an Amurta student!" One stated accusingly. "What are you doing here? How much did you hear?"

You groaned from behind the other students hand, and he let you go after realizing he needed to let you speak.

"I was coming back from lunch and I didn't hear anything, I swear!" You shook your head, trying to wiggle out of the tight hold on your arm.

"Listen here, kid, you are going to forget this ever happened and tell no one anything that you may or may not have heard! In fact, you aren't going to tell anyone you saw us at all! That includes friends or family, got it?"

"Just let me go already! I don't care about your stupid parts, I just want to get to class!"

The first student moved to block your path, placing their hands on their hips with a stern look.

"You're a first year, aren't you? Listen here, we'll let you go if you swear not to tell a soul what you heard. You just got a little lost on the way to class, yeah?"

"Shut up and let me go, I already said I don't care!" You shoved your way out from your restraints and dashed around the other student, hurrying towards the Amurta building.

"Hey, wait!" The second student who had been holding you back called, terrified.

You glanced back to see if they were following you, but saw they both were frozen and staring ahead of you.You looked back ahead of you just as your foot caught a large rock and sent you tumbling down on the pavement.

"Shit," you cursed, pulling your stinging palms up to your knees, also burning from the fresh scrapes you had just earned yourself.

A hand reached out to you to help you up. "Are you alright?"

His confused gaze must’ve been noticed by Kaveh because the man then looked in that same direction.

“Oh yeah… they like reading. They’ve even begun to write!”

Tighnari looked incredulously at his friend(?), jaw hanging open. His entire body was shaking in disbelief at the wild peice of information the blonde in front of him had dropped. This animal that has shown nothing but hostility to humans and hybrids alike… WAS READING AND WRITING???

“Oh and if you think thats neat they can even cook and clean!”

Kaveh was going to be the death of Tighnari.

“They even cooked a fourteen course dinner with one dish and one dessert from even nation because I had finally gotten a commission! Isn’t that just so nice of them?”

Rishboland Tiger!Kaveh + Snow Leopard!Alhaitham +slight nsfw

Now I want to clearfy that I am a huge nature nerd, a furry and anything animal related brings me joy, so yeah, most of the worldbuild is based on Beastars with some liberties and probably very out of character since I only know Kavetham (is that the ship name?) from ao3.

Kaveh is smaller than the average Rishboland tiger (panthera tigris sumerum), while Althaitham is bigger than the average snow leopard (Panthera uncia).

They like to play with their tails, a lot. Rishboland tigers are known for that, such behavior is more present on cubs, but sometimes adults are seen doing that, be that their own tails or that of a friend or partner.

Snow leopards are a lot more subtle about it, playing is, again more seen in cubs, but adults sometimes keep holding their tail for extends amounts of time aparently for confort or just because they're bored.

Kaveh plays with his tail when he's bored, or distracted. Alhaitham likes to keep his tail on his mouth while he's working at the desk.

It's uncommon for two big (as in especies) male felines to form romantic relationships, but these two make it work.

Alhaitham's back is covered with black spots and Kaveh likes to kiss and each one of them.

Since snow leopards live in cold places Alhaitham is less than pleased with Sumeru heat. He has lived here all his life so it doesn't agfect him as much, but he would be very pleased with a vacation to Snezhnaya.

Two words: Barbed cock.

They are the couple that spends most of their time allogrooming. Now if they do it with hair brushes or their barbed tongues is up to you.

Lots of purring, bitting and scratches.
