Alternatively, if this was a Metal Saga only AU, I'd have Gingka as Tsuno, Kenta as Wada and Reiji as Okazaki, but I didn't finish Metal Saga yet sooo (and also Okazaki Norman is the reason why this AU even exists, it infected my brain)

genuinely adore that fact that Robin is so damn good at everything he tries EXCEPT beyblading, and that’s the one skill he wants to learn with all his heart, and the only skill he gives a damn about.

“But he should focus on what he’s good at!”. Seeing someone who sucks at beyblading trying so hard is a major point in the show. He’s got so many other skills he’s naturally good at, but rather than choosing based off that, he chose what he’s passionate about.

Mayblade day one: Dawn

This was the other drawing I was working on but it took me much longer than intended-

Basically the era of new bladders is like a new dawn yes yes???

I like my zac edit better ngl because I suck at drawing

Ignore any mistakes I gave up after lineart

Backgrounds, shading, skin tones, drawing in general are not my strong suit-

just a thought I had

I love how in the beginning when Ekusu/Jaxon and Bird/Robin were still in their whole phase of getting used to each other in the earlier episodes, Robin was the one to be the hugger

LIKE HE FULL ON TACKLED JAXON FOR A CELEBRATORY HUG

then later on

Jaxon is the one initiating most of the physical contact

he takes Robin’s hand whenever he feels like it (when he wanted to try the cheese waffle sushi after moving into Komaba Sushi and dragged him along, and in the ep of Warden’s Exam when he wanted to battle) and regularly seems to choose him over Multi over most situations even when he’s scared, like in the ep of Riddles and Beys when he hides behind Robin after the tall person appeared (I FORGOT THE NAME)

It’s just really funny to see how it kind of swapped
