NEO METAL SONIC

oogh stuff for my roboticized sonic au. I wanted to incorporate neo metal somehow, even though logically speaking it would never occur because WHY would sonic do that lol

context is that I mixed knuckles chaotix and heroes (because while metal sonic kai is cool, NOTHING compares to metal overlord).

after being cut off from the chaos emeralds by chaos itself, eggman invented the chaos rings to try and emulate their power. he used one to control sonic, because tails worked out a way to keep the doctor out of the computer in sonic's head.

sonic is aware, but not in control! HE'S OKAY, HE'S FINE. <-through grit teeth

also shadow and sonic are very close to the point of being brothers in this au, so shadow is not happy about this arrangement.

Here's an old story idea my little brother and I would act out

Basically, Sonic is defeated by Eggman and seemingly killed. This affects everyone who had witnessed it mainly Tails who would take his place in hopes to stop Eggman once and for all.

Meanwhile Eggman reactivates an old machine of his he hadn't used in a long time, the robotizier and Sonic who's actually still alive was thrown in.

Several months later, the crew discover a set of rings, each of which could be used to control the elements and if assembled together could create miracles or invoke disasters. And surprise, surprise, Eggman has his eyes set on them. So Team Sonic, now led by Tails still mourning the loss of his best friend set out to collect these elemental rings before Eggman.

Eggman already had one of them in hand, the Electric Ring. Tails and Knuckles both infiltrate the Death Egg to steal it and succeed. However on their way out they encounter the newest addition to the egg army, a new and improved Metal Sonic or so it would seem. This version put up even more of a fight than the one they were used to but Tails and Knuckles managed to escape but tons of questions were had. Eventually it was made clear that Eggman had roboticized Sonic and he was now his minion, the blue hedgehog's closest friends were disheartened by this news but more motived to gather the elemental rings with the hopes that maybe, just maybe they could bring Sonic back.

Later on Amy was sent to retrieve the Air Ring in Sky Sanctuary where the old Freedom Fighters were in the middle of an all out battle against Eggman's forces, Robitized Sonic was even spotted there proving to be a challenge. While fighting her way through Amy falls down a waterfall and nearly drowned until someone reached in a pulled her out.

That someone was the Robotized Sonic now holding her up with more of Eggman's robots around them and an arm canon to her head. It seemed like it was the end when suddenly Sonic's eyes blipped from red to green and he blasted all the other bots before letting Amy down gently. His chase after Tails & Knuckles left a part of his now mechanical body that gave Eggman his control over him damaged and since then Sonic was biding his time to get back to his friends without Eggman knowing. With this now made clear to Amy they breezed through the battle zone together and back to the base with the Air ring in hand.

That's about all I can remember clear as day. What do you guys think of it?

Metal Sonic Is Sonic Roboticized Debunked

There is a hypothesis that Metal Sonic is Sonic Roboticized and sent back in time from a Bad Future, I am going to be arguing why this is not the case

In Sonic Triple Trouble it is stated that Metal is a "handmade ultimate robot," built by Dr. Eggman. We also know that Sonic Triple Trouble is canon thanks to Sonic Superstars and Tailstube.

In Knuckles' Chaotix Manual it tells us that Metal is "a Sonic-shaped robot created by Dr. Robotnik." It also tells us that "the main and sub CPUs were recovered from the body that was destroyed in a previous confrontation with Sonic."

In the Roboticized Sonic Hypothesis it is argued that Eggman can't build or rebuild Metal Sonic and the best he can do is Mecha Sonic. However, this confirms not only can Eggman build Metal Sonic, but he can rebuild him as well. Knuckles' Chaotix is also canon according to both the Encyclo-speed-ia and Tailstube. Some people have claimed there are multiple and as well as rebuilt Metal Sonics in Sonic Rivals, however I have not checked to see if that is true. If it is this further proves the point that Eggman can build Metal Sonic.

Finally once again in the Encyclo-speed-ia on page 35 it outright states that Metal Sonic is "Dr. Eggman's answer to nature's perfect hero, and that Metal's main CPU is a LIPS A.I.EGGMANA, run by three Dr. Eggman custom chips." Once again confirming Metal was built by Dr. Eggman.

There is also the main issue that roboticization is canon to the games and only exists in non canon spin-offs. The closest we get to roboticization is possible cyborgs such as what we see with Tails in Sonic Lost World, and maybe Rusty Rose from Sonic Prime. But still not roboticization. Some may argue that robotomies from the Sonic Forces promotions is roboticization. However, this is just Eggman's basic trick of putting animals into Badniks.

The closest we got to canon roboticization was from Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood containing it. However, Sonic Chronicles was removed from the canon as stated in the Encyclo-speed-ia under the section about the origin of the Gizoids.

It's also noteworthy that even in material where roboticization does exist such as the Archie Comics, there does exist a roboticized Sonic. But even in the Archie Comics, Roboticized Sonic and Metal Sonic are 2 separate characters.
