Xephos was holding his torch in a vice grip.

“You might want to put that out,” Lalna mentioned as he walked back over.

Xephos turned to him and stared like he had just asked him to kiss one of the sheep upstairs. “You’re mad,” he said bluntly.

Lalna idly scratched the stubble on his cheek. “Well, there’s probably a limited supply of oxygen in here, and the torch is gonna burn it up-“

He trailed off as he realized this was evidently the incorrect thing to say as Xephos’ face drained of color.

“Oh, gods,” Xephos moaned, wrapping his arms around himself.

Lalna scrambled to correct himself, reaching out for the other’s arm. “I mean- I could be wrong! There might be a source of air leaking through here somewhere- there’s probably plenty of air…” he trailed off weakly, sounding unsure and very much unhelpful.

“Honeydew will find us soon,” Lalna concluded, feeling like an absolute failure of a comforter. His companion didn’t reply, his eyes having obtained a glassy look to them.

Xephos slid down the stone wall, placing the torch beside him, his body having gone very taut except for subtle trembling. His jaw was visibly tightened, with his lips pressed into an almost invisible line. Lalna recognized his expression, Xephos always looked like this when he was trying very hard to hold back a breakdown. 

Lalna carefully sat down next to him. Keeping his movements purposefully slow and obvious, he wrapped an arm around the smaller man and pulled him closer. 

Xephos’ breathing picked up, closing in on almost hyperventilation.

“Shh,” Lalna attempted to soothe. “Don’t do that. It’ll use up more air.” He might not be good at comforting, but if there was a language he did speak, it was logic. 

Xephos nodded and inhaled. “Right.” He said, his voice strained. His breath was still quickened and uneven. 

“Just… follow me, yeah?” Lalna said, dropping his voice to a near whisper. Xephos swallowed, nodding silently again. Lalna focused on keeping his own breath steady, shifting an inch closer so their shoulders were touching. He absentmindedly began stroking his thumb back and forth over Xephos’ shoulder.

It took several minutes, but Xephos’ breathing slowly returned to a regular pace, save for an occasional hitch.

Quackity: The Gambler (DSMP x Don’t Starve concept)

Theoretically, Quackity is meant to be a high risk, high reward sorta character. He’s designed around befriending mobs- and exploiting their efforts.

Quackity has his own Gambling crafting tab, which is used for crafting his main items- Chips and Cards.

Chips are crafted with 2 Gold Nuggets and 2 mob-specific items (e.g. Pigskin, Spider Glands), and produce 4 single-use consumable items. Each type of chip corresponds to a different befriend-able mob: Pigs, Merms, Bunnymen, Spiders, etc. When used, all corresponding mobs in the radius around you will be allied to you for 10 minutes. This is the only way for Quackity to befriend mobs; giving gifts does not work.

Cards are craftable with Papyrus and various other resources. They have an unlimited number of uses, but you can only use one per minute. They affect you and your allies, player and mob alike- but unlike Wigfrid’s supportive Songs, Quackity’s Cards are a bit more... parasitic, so to speak.

Examples of potential Cards (Note: I do not understand poker and playing card terminology. This is more silly, pun-based Don’t Starve stuff)

High-Jack of Hearts (x1 Papyrus, x1 Telltale Heart) “Steal your friends’ hearts! (It’s totally healthy!)” All allies in your radius take 20 damage. You regain 15 health for every ally you affect. The Clubs’ King (x1 Papyrus, x7 Gold Nuggets) “The crown gives you power, apparently.” All allies in your radius have their attacks reduced by 25% for 1 minute. For 1 minute, your attack power is increased by 25% for every ally you affect. Spade of Aces (x1 Papyrus, x1 Regal Shovel) “The best card, or the worst card?” Wildcard time! This Card will give each ally of yours a major bonus and a major drawback at random. This includes instant damage, instant healing, stat regen, stat drain, increased/decreased damage, and increased/decreased damage resistance. Oh, and it has zero effect on Quackity. The Joker (x1 Papyrus, x1 Dapper Vest) “A smiling man with dark secrets to share.” All players in your radius lose 50 Sanity. All allied mobs in your radius take 200 damage. You receive 50 Sanity for each player affected, and 15 Sanity for each Mob affected.

Hey hiii getting back into yogs brainrot for the first time since 2016 (cant get the angsty magic man out of my brain) and i was wondering whats been happening in the fandom since then?? OH and who r some cool yogs blogs i can follow :)

Well, it’s been very quiet, really. Sjin and Turps got the boot ‘cause they’re creeps, so you won’t be seeing as much of them in art and stuff. We have two yearly traditions, Yogtober and Yogs Gift Exchange—Yogtober is coming up really soon…I’ll see about making a prompt list. I have an Anon who’s watching Blackrock for the first time, so that’s exciting. The activity has really died down in the past few years but we’re still here :) a lot of people have gotten into Hermitcraft, actually.

This is going to be great!! Thank you @nebilas-writes for tagging me, this is my first time doing this!!

1. Are you named after anyone?

Nope, but I’m named after a lamp!! :P

2. When was the last time you cried?

Sometime on December 18th or 20th 2018, I think? The reason I did was because I got stressed over baking.

3. Do you have/want kids?

Nope, and I really don’t plan on having kids.

4. Do you use sarcasm a lot?

No, I don’t, because I’m totally not an early-aged teenager whose main ability is to be sarcastic about everything. Totally.

5. What’s the first thing you notice about people?

Whether they’d treat me as an inanimate object or not... Hah, I’m just jesting. But, for real, the first thing I notice is their height. Pretty useful, right?

6. What’s your eye colour?

My eye colour is a boring dark brown. Not much to be ecstatic about here (other than the fact that I’m not blind).

7. Scary film or happy ending?

It depends. I can enjoy a happy ending as long as it has a good premise, like the Nanny Killer.

8. Any special talents?

I can read your mind!! No, I’m joking again. But I like to analyse other people!! It’s a lot of fun. Also, I have the best ability in the world!...making people undermine me to the point where it’s just ethically inhumane. :P

9. Where were you born?

I was born in Southern Ontario!!

10. What are your hobbies?

I love to draw, write, and compose music. I’m trying to incorporate excersizing into my daily routine as well. ^^

11. Do you have any pets?

Well, I used to have pets... One of my budgies, a hamster, and a goldfish died. We had two turtles and two fish until we brought three of them back to the pet store since one of the turtles ate a fish. One budgie escaped, while the other died of old age.

12. What sports do you play/have played?

I’m currently doing wrestling at my high school, but I used to play soccer and badminton. I’m actually planning to try out for the badminton team once the season rolls in.

13. How tall are you?

I’m a small-tier at 5 feet.

14. Favourite subjects in school?

French is one of my favourite subjects, along with Science and Math! In elementary it used to be between Art and Math.

15. Dream job?

Well... I’m hoping to get a Major in Forensic Psychology to become a forensic psychologist or land in the CSS of Pakistan.
