I've been trying to do more colouring, especially to find ways to practice lighting in different styles. This is from one of our AUs, called Do You Come Here Often - Robotnik meets Stone, a bartender, during a painfully boring charity gala and they hit it off.
I wrote a short story based on our RP, so I'm putting it under the cut below!
A charity gala. A waste of time, that’s what it was. Something to stroke the already grossly swollen egos of the guests, most of whom just loved masquerading as philanthropists for the tax cuts.
It was well below Doctor Robotnik, and yet, he’d been forced kicking and screaming into a suit to sweet-talk potential investors. There was going to be reckoning once he was back in the lab. Maybe he’d launch the latest incompetent assistant into space.
“ - and another thing - do you use that - that stuff, that comes from babies -”
Then there was this asshole. Trapped into a conversation, Robotnik could barely maintain his rictus grin as he leaned his elbow on the bar counter, listening to the gormless, chinless man yammer on and on. Rich, politically active, and an absolute imbecile. Robotnik was going to strangle him with his stupid bowtie.
“Because let me tell you, pal,” his conversation partner slurred. “When I’m a senator, I’m - banning all that shit. It’s not right - it’s just wrong, you know -”
“Yes, we wouldn’t want the harmless salvage of iron rich cells from biowaste,” Robotnik muttered under his breath.
“Yeah!” The other man gestured, coming dangerously close to spilling his watered down whiskey. “You get it - good man - what was your name again, Robot - something?”
“Doctor Robotnik,” Robotnik said, in clipped tones.
The man chortled. “Oh come on, you’re not a real doctor.”
Robotnik squeezed his martini hard enough to hear it crack. His smile grew wider, his pupils narrowing. He was going to -
“Gentlemen! Do I spy empty glasses?” a perky voice interrupted them. Robotnik turned, stiffly, and stared at the bartender - a rather handsome, well-groomed man with dark, twinkling eyes.
Robotnik’s conversation partner blinked, and looked down at his nearly empty glass. “Oh, well spotted, boy. Whaddya recommend?”
“May I recommend you try my special blend?” the bartender suggested, his voice lowering an octave as he slid forward a glass, his movements mesmerisingly precise. “I promise it has a kick like you won’t believe.”
The man chuckled, reaching for the fresh drink. “Just so you know, I don’t believe in tipping,” he said, as if gunning for the title of world’s most loathsome man, and downed half of the drink in one go.
The bartender smiled peacefully.
“Bit of a weird aftertaste,” the man slurred. He blinked, suddenly tilting forward sharply. A hand shot out, and the bartender grabbed the man’s hair, guiding his head to rest on the counter.
“There we are,” the bartender said cheerfully. “Nice and easy. Now,” and he leaned back, smiling at Robotnik like he hadn’t just drugged his customer. “What can I get you, Doctor Robotnik?”
Robotnik took a moment, blinking as he adjusted - and then raised his eyebrow. He was, despite himself, curious. “Not - what, a mix of ketamine and benzo?”
“Trade secret, I’m afraid,” the bartender said, smiling. The man in the next stool snored loudly. Robotnik stood up, moving a few spaces over, and the bartender followed him.
“I supposed you did save a life,” Robotnik said, haughtily. “His, I mean. How do you know my name?”
“I heard the other gentleman mention it,” the bartender said. “Of course, I did recognise it.” As he spoke, he pulled out a glass, pouring in some ice. “I remember reading your paper on hive mind artificial intelligence. I always wondered whether you ever built anything based on your theories.”
If Robotnik had been curious before, he was now drawn in, like a moth to a flame. Of course, there was a good chance he was going to get murdered tonight. “You read my - “ He paused, taking a moment to lower his voice and curb the enthusiasm. “Early prototypes showed some information lag,” he said, warily. “I’ve made some adjustments to the data compression and prioritisation - out of curiosity, how much of it did you actually understand?”
The bartender, in the midst of pouring something in the glass, blinked. “Most of it, I assume,” he said. “I did have to make some notes, to research and fully comprehend it, but - you’re a very entertaining writer, Doctor. I enjoyed your footnotes.”
Robotnik’s footnotes were exclusively reserved for insulting other researchers. He found himself smiling, crookedly. “There’s a functional hive now.”
The bartender looked startled, and then smiled, his teeth flashing. “Seriously? That’s amazing. How many?”
Robotnik shifted in his seat, starting to find his groove. “Three main hives, inter-connected via slow transfer - much faster on their intra-network. Fifteen, thirty-three and hundred and seven, respectively. It would be much more if my budget wasn’t decided by mouth-breathing knuckle-draggers.”
“That’s still respectable numbers,” the bartender responded, enthusiastically. “I’d love to see them in action some day.”
“Oh, would you now?” Robotnik smiled. “Which country are you spying for?”
To his surprise, the bartender laughed.
“I wish I was in espionage,” the bartender said dryly. “I’m just a fan, Doctor. Personal interest - I saw some of your earlier work, in the field, a few years back.”
“In the field?” Robotnik raised an eyebrow. “What sort of field does a bartender end up in, exactly?”
“None whatsoever,” the bartender replied, mouth curling. “I was a mercenary. Gun for hire.”
“And now you’re bartending?” Robotnik asked, skeptically.
“Well, I did just kill that guy,” the bartender said easily, nodding to the slumped figure a few seats away. “So after I clean up here, that’s my night done.” He smiled. “I’m Stone, by the way.”
“...Pleasure,” Robotnik said weakly. He stared at Stone. He thought for a moment.
“So,” he said, clearing his throat. “A fan. Don’t tell me you’ve only read one of my papers.”
Stone pushed a drink towards Robotnik, smiling slyly. He was rather handsome, in a well-groomed, fit and conventionally attractive way, Robotnik had to admit.
“Of course not, Doctor. That one was just my favourite - well, besides the one you wrote about applied nanotechnology -”
“That one was utter garbage,” Robotnik said, waving his hand as he accepted the drink. “I’ve since scrapped it, started fresh with a new approach - the new paper is nearly done, if you -” he stopped himself, feeling the skin under his collar heat up.
“If I what?” Stone asked curiously.
“If you want to read it,” Robotnik said stiffly. “You said you were nearly done here, right? How about we blow this popsicle stand and - you come over to my hotel room, and I can show you a thing or two?”
To his confusion, Stone went momentarily quiet, his eyes widening, before the other man stammered out a reply.
“I - I’d love to! If you’re sure - I mean, I swear I’m not a spy - I just heard you were here, so I took on this gig in the hopes of catching a glimpse, I didn’t -”
Robotnik raised his hand sharply, starting to feel uncomfortably warm. “Bzzzt! I’m well aware this is an honour for you! Save the yammering for later - I want to get out of here.”
Stone had been handsome before, but he was much more so when he was flustered. Not that Robotnik cared about that - it was just rare to meet anyone who admired his work, let alone understood even half of it. He might as well use the rest of his night for something pleasant.
“Okay, sure,” Stone said, clearly breathing slowly to calm himself down. “Uh - I have some protection on me, if we need it,” he added, shyly.
Robotnik snorted, standing up, starting to already pull off his cursed bowtie. “Maybe for yourself, Stone. I have no need for it.” He paused, momentarily tempted to introduce Stone to his gloves - but decided against it. He’d have plenty of time for it back at the hotel, away from spying eyes.
Behind him, Stone all but rushed from behind the bar over to him, hurrying to catch up with Robotnik’s long strides. He was blabbering on about hoping they weren’t moving too fast - as if Robotnik couldn’t get out of here fast enough. He glanced back at the other man, his chest tightening briefly at Stone’s earnest expression. Stone really was stupidly good-looking. He supposed that would be nice to look at, while they went over his papers.
#stobotnik#i'm also trying to get back into writing groove so here we go#a bit of both#by the way with our roleplay i play stone#and bram plays robotnik#they do make an excellent robotnik#i'm a simp in real life too lmao

Hey I'm new to this kinda thing but if you two could have a kid by like magic or very risky science what would ya name them and how many would ya have? Ps I've shipped ya guys since I saw the first sonic movie so yeah also I love the art style.
"Ha! I'm always interested in new science experiments like this! I've thought about this before: Say there's a way to enhance and mix Stone's and I's best traits - for purely scientific and battle based purposes, obviously - and creating a new lifeform? The problem is that creating life is harder than AI, and these are all just concepts. But say I got my hands on the right materials... why I'd name them something like Omelette, after their Papa, haha." -Robotnik
"Well gee, who needs magic? The Doctor has plenty of robots that I consider family. They feel and think. He's programmed very intelligent AI over the years. There's Metal who I made... and who the Doc doesn't know about yet... anyway, and then there's Orbot and Cubot and Sage. We've got a lot on our hands. They're family to me." -Stone

Comforting words can go a long way (A sonic 3 oneshot):
It was late now at the Wachowski campsite, Tom, Maddie, Sonic and Knuckles had drifted off to sleep hours ago but despite his best efforts Tails couldn't sleep.
He could only think of one thing...Stone.
Tails couldn't think of why, but despite being Robotnik's lackey Tails had never thought of him as a particularly bad person, not only had he seemed genuinely horrified when he heard about Gerald Robotnik's plans for Earth, but the man had tried to shield him when Shadow attacked them...that had to count for something right.
After tossing and turning for a good while now and still unable to sleep he got up with a irritated huff and grabbed his backpack walking out the tent.
Sitting down near the now dead campfire he pulled out his Miles electric and tapped away at it.
After several minutes of tapping away he located Stone.
The man was located at Kings Cross Station in London, however according to the schedules no trains were departing for several hours and apparently Stone's signal had been stationary for a few hours now.
Deciding he needed to do something, anything to help the grieving man Tails pulled out a ring he'd been keeping for emergencies he threw it and stepped through.
London:
Stone was sitting on a bench at Kings Cross, the station was deathly silent, the usual trains weren't running at this time, Stone noticed several parked in the platforms but they weren't the reason for him being there.
He was looking up at the stars as well as the now damaged moon, he couldn't get his thought of the doctor.
People only saw them as two madmen but to him Ivo Robotnik was a friend...yes a very very flawed friend, but one nonetheless, the two having met back when Stone was in the military, the two having formed something of a partnerships, neither he nor Ivo had been able to figure out what they were and now they clearly never would.
"Erm, excuse me." A tiny voice said.
Taken by surprise Stone looked and saw the young Fox, Tails or something looking at him with a pair of bright cyan eyes.
Stone blinked not sure if he was hallucinating but after a moment he realised he mustn't be as the fox kit was still here.
"Not to be rude, but how did you get in here?" Stone asked.
"I used a ring, how did you get here?" Tails asked blinking innocently at him.
"That's for me to know and you to find out." Stone said simply.
He looked at Tails who simply stared at him.
"So what are you doing here...Tails was it?" Stone asked.
Tails nodded.
"Technically it's Miles, but you can call me Tails." Tails told him.
Stone nodded.
"So Tails, what brings you to merry old London?" Stone asked.
"I wanted to see you, make sure you were ok." Tails said.
"Oh I'm just fine, all lollipops and rainbows." Stone said bitterly.
"I may be a kid but I can recognise sarcasm you know." Tails said crossing his arms and looking at him with a pout that even Stone thought looked adorable on the kits face.
"Alright fine I'll level with you kid, I've just lost the man I loved over some stupid thing I barely know the details of, he was the first person who actually treated me with some level of respect after I withdrew from Afghanistan and yeah you know what, maybe he was kinda crazy, and maybe he was a bit of a jerk at times but we had each other and that was enough, I loved him kid and now without I'm completely lost and confused, do you have any idea what that's like Tails." Stone snapped.
He looked at the fox seeing his tails had wilted and ears drooped back and he frowned.
"Sorry kid, I didn't mean to go all dark and gloomy on you." Stone said.
"Actually I kinda get it, when I was younger I was always picked on for my extra tail and my smarts, even my own parents had abandoned me by the time I was three." Tails said.
Stone grimaced. "Wow, that's horrible." He said.
"Well I've been staying with Sonic, Knuckles and my mom and dad for a while now they took me in and loved me regardless of my flaws, but if I lost then I guess I'd feel like you do right now, I know it's probably not what you want to hear right now, I just want you to know I understand." Tails are.
Stone looked at the kid in front of him, he would be lying if he said the kid's statement hadn't resonated with his own lonely childhood.
"Sorry, didn't mean to give you my life story." Tails apologised.
Stone shrugged.
"No Tails, that actually did help, guess we have more in common than we thought." Stone said.
"I guess." Tails said.
Just then the Fox let out a very wide yawn, it was then Stone noticed just how late it was, he looked at Tails who looked absolutely exhausted, if he was right about how young the kit was he should have been in bed and fast asleep hours ago.
"You have a way home right?" Stone asked.
Tails suddenly realised he hadnt grabbed a spare ring and face-palmed when he realised his error.
Stone let out an amused snort.
"I'll give you a ride home, want me to carry you?" He asked.
"Tha---s." Tails said, the rest being drowned out by another almighty yawn and he climbed onto the mans shoulders.
Stone simply snorted again and made his way out of the station and towards crab-bot as Ivo had dubbed it.
Thankfully the streets were quiet even by London's standards so thankfully they got very few looks.
Stone wasn't sure when but at some point the kit fell asleep on his shoulders.
The Fox's soft snores echoed in Stone's ears as he walked and not even he could hide his smile at the child's innocence, expecially when the world seemed so determined to snatch it from him.
They got to the crab-bot and Stone set the snoozing fox down in the co-pilot seat, the kid shuffling slightly in his sleep using one of his tails as an improvised pillow.
Stone smiled at the adorable sight before setting course for Green Hills.
By the time they got there it was early morning and when they got to the campsite the Wachowskis were staying at Stone could see the kit's family looking for him.
They certainly weren't expecting to see Stone appear with said Fox snuggled up in his arms.
"Relax, I'm just bringing him home." Stone said seeing the alert looks on Tom, Knuckles and Sonic's faces.
He handed Tails over to Maddie who took the sleeping fox with a much kinder look than the others were giving him.
Tails let out a tiny yawn and groggily opened his eyes looking at Maddie with a sleepy smile.
"Hi mama." He mumbled sleepily cuddling into her.
"Hi pumpkin." Maddie cooed before heading to the kids tent with the exhausted fox, the two talking in hushed whispers.
Stone turned around and was about to leave when he saw Sonic in front of him.
"What were you doing with Tails?" The blue hedgehog demanded.
"Nothing, he came to me, we had a chat and he couldn't get home so I gave him a lift." Stone said truthfully, well he was hardly lying was he.
Sonic gave him a look but seeing no trace of a lie nodded.
"Well, thanks for bringing him back...and look I'm sorry about Eggman, yeah I didn't particularly like him, but he did the right thing in the end, and despite our checkered past...I guess I can respect him for that." Sonic said.
Stone nodded.
"Thanks Sonic...you've got a good brother there, take care of him." Stone said.
Sonic nodded and with a brief smile Stone climbed into the crab-bot and departed the Wachowski campsite.

Stone & Robotnik's Gaggle of Robot Children P4
Agent Stone figures out a faster way to advance Metal Sonic.
First Chapter
Previous Chapter Next Chapter
It could be his bitterness at his memories of her or the bitterness of the situation that let the dry comment slip out of Stone's mouth.
"Still drinking on the job I see."
Dosteyevsky made a face and gestured at him with the open mouth of the bottle.
“Oh, don’t you start with this. You’re at least as bad as me right now.” She gestured to the line of bottles she’d stolen from cupboards and lined in front of herself, “And you want to talk about not changing, Mr. Optomization? You still follow your patterns. I found this hunk-of-junk because you hid it the same way you hide all your bodies.” She pointed to the junkyard outside and took another swig. “Right in a graveyard. Clever the first time, but traceable when done more than once.”
Dang it, he hadn’t thought about that. He hadn’t had to quick-hide a body in years, he hadn’t made the connection to his old habits.
"Stooone," she said, interrupting his musings “You've been missing your therapy appointments."
She did a tsking noise with her tongue.
"You were given two options and you refused the first. You know what that means right?"
"I was told I’d be put under monitored house arrest."
"Well sort of, if by house you mean, closest Agency facility. I'm sure you understand. They want you close by somewhere they've already checked for Robotnik's tech. And they’d prefer to have you where the agents are rather then sending somebody to watch you."
"So imprisonment."
"Yeah they really should have phrased that better. Someone was too optimistic about you attending counseling and was trying to go with the gentle, friendly approach with you. Stupid, but hey, what can you do?."
"Then why am I still here?"
“What do you mean?”
“Why am I still in the location you found me? You should’ve taken me to the target location while I was unconscious. You’re giving me territory advantage ”
" You’re giving me notes on your abduction? Jeeze. I wanted to talk. I'm worried about you."
Stone leaned away, one eyebrow raised.
"Don’t- Don’t look at me like that. I'm allowed to worry. It’s normal to worry. Everyone in the Agency watched you follow after him like a lost puppy-dog for a decade and we all just watched him blow up. I know you're not ok. I can taste it in this terrible, cheap, sad vodka. It’s a miracle that you haven't tried to set anything major on fire."
Stone stayed silent and reviewed her expression before saying, "I'm sure G.U.N. I would love for you to get an assessment of me."
She looked taken aback "That's not-"
She rubbed her temples, growled and stood up.
"What was your plan here? Stay in this sad pit forever avoiding us, rotting in your own emotions? That can't be fun. What's so different from here and a prison, huh? At least a G.U.N. facility won’t have as many electrical hazards."
She kicked a console nearby to make her point. Stone wanted to strangle her for it.
"He's not coming back. Move on!"
She turned. She seemed to be gripping something deep in her chest.
"Look he's not the only scientist with a few screws loose that the Agency had. There were others. If you went through the assessment and proved you weren't a threat you could get reassigned and they could give you someone new to handle. I don’t know what you could do to make them think that and I don’t care. Lie. You can get something similar to your old life, some normalcy, some frame to rely on while you get back to your old self. We’re meant to die in battle I hate seeing you die like this"
"You think Robotnik is replaceable?" He couldn't help the anger that came into his voice at the thought.
She sighed.
"Our employers think Robotnik is replaceable, they think everyone is replaceable. I think that we have the closest thing to your old life that anybody has, and you look awful. You need something.”
He had something. I was never going to tell that to an Agent, but he already had a cause and a purpose.
“Look I get it if you don’t want to do the same thing. Too many memories, I can see if I can send in a good word to keep you away from someone in robotics. But there’s other fields. They have Capt Montgomery. He works on guns. You like guns, you used to ritualistically clean them when we worked together. Or uh..." she was snapping her fingers together. Trying to remember something "Delaney works on radar systems and Keller-"
Stone froze. "-Kellar works on experimental high-speed vehicles."
"Was that interest?" Her eyes lit up
No. Don’t let on, don’t let her know. He tried not to meet her eyes.
She crouched down to look closer at his expression.
“It is good to see light in your eyes, even if you are trying to hide it from me now,” She clasped his shoulder and he wanted to squirm away, “ I’m excited for you to move on.”
He would prefer to die than do so.
She stood up and wiped her hands on her pants. “I do owe you for getting me out of probation, and this is me returning the favor. I’ve done the best I can from here. I wash my hands of you if you get yourself killed or imprisoned forever.”
She took a tranquilizer gun from her pocket.
“I’m sorry about this next part, but as you say- I do have to take you to a secondary location.”
..................
Agent Haydn waited in an unmarked van outside the junkyard, waiting for Dosteyevsky to finish her task.
At 3:30 am she came out and loaded a limp body covered in a canvas wrap into the back of the truck, before sliding into the passenger seat and clicking her seatbelt closed.
"Did it work? Did you convince him?"
"How in the hell am I supposed to know? His face doesn't make expressions. I call him Stone-faced bastard for a reason.
........
Stone doesn’t like faking his emotions and expressions. He hasnt had to do so for the past 10 years.
Stone used to fake his emotions every day for the first 20-something years of his life.
For the first 6 years adults and children asked why he didn’t make expressions. Years 7 through 13 were filled with a series of “he smiles too much it's unnerving." Before he finally got the right balance of facial expressions and vocal tones to make everyone around him happy.
It had been an exhausting puppet show, figuring out the right ways to talk, to nod his head, the right habits to have, the right amount of time to stay at a party when it was time to go. It was an act that focused all his attention and made him have a general distaste for the human population.
It dropped in Robotnik’s lab.
Robotnik didn’t pay attention to the expressions of his assistants, preferring them to be working in the background without him needing to look up from his work. And he didn’t make small talk or engage in casual conversation, instead he preferred to ramble about his projects without pausing for input from his audience. So Stone did not need to lie to him with his face or his words.
Even better, Robotnik drove away other assistants assigned to him, and any higher officers and personnel avoided his lab like the plague, preferring to avoid the Doctor’s caustic personality. So, Stone didn’t have to perform for anyone.
Bit by bit Stone's mask had dropped and he relaxed. He only needed to smile when he meant it, or speak when he was impressed and words voluntarily slipped out. And Robotnik gave him so many opportunities to be impressed.
It was heaven, but the longer he stayed, the harder it was to fake emotions, the more times that words he actually meant slipped out of his mouth. He had a few incidents where he was almost caught casually insulting other agents and he had to use his position as the Doctor’s layman- translator as an excuse.
Robotnik had found it funny.
It was harder these days to put the mask on. It was painful and exhausting. But he did it.
For three weeks he acted as the polite but scared former-agent, and a model prisoner. Then, when his captor’s gotten their fill of his fake-fear and effacing nature they offered him a secondary opportunity to go through his assessment, and he put on his finest performance yet.
"I mean its complicated. It feels good to be away from him. He wasn’t exactly a kind man. But he was still a human being, and It was still my mission to protect him. I feel awful that I failed the mission, but I feel free now that he’s gone."
Lie
"The Doctor's ambition frightened me when he came back. He was ever the same after returning from the other dimension. All his behaviors were off and ... unexpected."
Lie. There was nothing in Robotnik that he hadn’t seen before. All his behaviors were exaggerated from the norm, but consistent with his personality. He’d been talking about breaking away from the Agency and attempting world domination for years, the madness he experienced from the mushroom dimension just pushed his 10 year plan forward/
"Truth be told, once he pulled out that alien artifact, I can't remember much, Th-the last year was a blur. I don’t know what I’ve done"
Lie. He remembered every single moment in stark, defined detail that looped in his brain in his nightmares and dreams.
"That’s why I was running, - I don't know what I did or what the consequences would be and I didnt think anyone would believe me."
Lie. The Agency had created the circumstances that led to Ivo Robotnik’s death. Stone hadn’t come for his assessments because he hated them all, and in the midst of his grief, he hadn’t felt like pretending. If it had purely been for his work advancement, he would’ve just as well skipped this.
But it was for Metal’s advancement, for the continuation of Robotnik’s work. For that, he’d lie and perform again.

Day 741/740 - Stobotnik animatic in the works
Disclaimer - I know I spelled "secret" wrong, I fixed it already
Song is "More than a treaty" from the musical "Empire" - the story of Napoleon and Josephine
I hate myself for forgetting to post but YEAH !! I'M TRYING SOMETHING IN HERE !! It won't be anything crazy but I want to express how much I love these two
This song.... is so Stobotnik in my mind. Blessed be Instagram algorithm and my inclination for musicals. Try not to picture Napoleon Bonaparte and Tsar Alexander I and think of the treaty as the Robotnik manifesto
It's not just a treaty, it's the proof Robotnik trusts Stone with his lifework and life. They are married.
It's our secret, it won't show!
Call it arrangement
Call it alliance
Call it a bargain
Or even science
But the two of us confess
Diplomacy with you and me is futile unless
We are companions
We share affection
Empires in the right direction!
Not to be too needy
We're not merely greedy
It's not just a treaty
It's more
More!
I made a storyboard but I'm still tweaking some things ! The video is what I made yesterday and I did two more scenes today
At least that way I don't have to ask myself what I'll do today as art practice for the foreseeable future (wdym I should study anatomy first)

This is the first fan fic I've written since the 90s, but Stobotnik has me full tilt. Waiting for Sonic 3 I rewatched Sonic 2 and Wade's ease at rolling up to the Mean Bean and that whole scene put this idea into my head... what if Stone wasn't just waiting on the Doctor?
-----
The first month without the doctor had been spent sitting alone in his trailer, surrounded by bandits, searching the continent for any trace of Ivo Robotnik. Then the world. Then the milky way.
Nothing.
Stone found nothing.
The second month had been spent setting up a secret base in his last known location.
Green Hills, Montana.
It was easy enough for someone as skilled in deception as Agent Stone. Forge some signatures, flash some documents and no one questioned how quickly he had the Mean Bean coffee shop ready for "business". Stone was always a diligent worker and his focus was renowned. It was why he fit so well with Robotnik, to the dismay of many.
However, there was one thing Stone had not prepared for, and as he began closing up shop his problem came rolling into view.
"Hey! Catch you at a bad time?" Wade Whipple walked in. The wannabe Sheriff of this backwater cesspool had begun to get on Stone's last nerve. If he had two brain cells to rub together Stone would think Wade was stalking him.
"Actually, yes." Stone said rolling his eyes as he turned to grab a broom. "I'm closing." He grabbed a small dustpan and waved it with the most sarcastic smile he could muster. Ivo would be proud. At least Stone hoped he would be.
"Oh. Right. Yeah, cause you don't live here." Wade said with a self deprecating smile. Silence fell and Stone was certain the deputy had gotten the point.. until he spoke again. "You're coffee is just so good. Like, it flows in your veins." Wade laughed at his own joke then made it worse when he kept talking. "Not like I think you're made if coffee, but you're just wow with it. Like, did you go to school to make it? Some kinda secret coffee school? It's very... wow." He finished quietly, suddenly aware of former Agent Stone staring at him with an empty face.
"No. I practice." Stone dumped the dustpan into the trashcan and set it down in it's proper place beside the broom holder. Doctor Robotnik would appreciate the order and cleanliness. "What can I do for you, Deputy Whipple?" Stone asked refusing to contain his impatience. Formal titles were good at that with most people, but once again these simple social cues were lost on Wade.
"Well, I've seen you around lately and I wondered if.. you want a tour? Like, being new in town? I can show you the ropes around here. I'm kinda important." Wade gave a small laugh, and Stone had to admit that under different circumstances he might find it charming, but he and his heart belonged to Robotnik.
Suddenly an idea popped into his head and he slowly smiled his most charming smile at the bumbling man before him. "Why, Deputy, I'd love to see your quaint little town. I bet there are so many places to see." Stone began advancing on Wade slowly. "Secrets to learn. I bet you know everything about this..." Stone stopped in front of him "...adorable..." he put a hand on Wade's chest "...little..." they locked eyes "...town."
Wade's heart skipped a beat and he felt his stomach begin to twist into knots. He let out a loud nervous laugh, scaring himself. "Pssh, yeah. I... I..." Looking into the baristas eyes he suddenly lost all words and just began nodding.
Stone gave a large and undeniably fake smile as he took Wade's arm in his. "Good. Good. Why don't you meet me here tomorrow night at 8pm. You can show me all your secrets." As Stone led Wade to the door, Wade began laughing nervously.
"Yeah, I can. Do that, yes. We will. Tomorrow?" He repeated, his mouth feeling dry.
"Tomorrow. Goodnight..." Stone leaned forward and Wade followed his example, closing his eyes and puckering his mouth for a kiss in a rather unseemly manner. "Wade." Stone said seductively, closing the door in Wade's still puckered face. The lock clicked and the blinds fell, breaking Stone's spell on the other man.
"Goodnight..." Wade walked over to his new scooter and began rolling away.
Inside, Agent Stone began pulling up the files on the blue menace and his would-be family. Maybe, this stupid little one horse town could be useful after all...

5 PhDs + 1
@lalalaurieart happy birthday! I offer you one of my silly headcanons
None of Robotnik's degrees are in medicine. Why should he care about that? His interest in the human body ends with his own. That is, until one time when Stone got really hurt, and the Doctor could do nothing. He coped by... teaching himself everything there is to know about medicine! He's very normal like that. Never bothered getting a degree for that one though.
#lalastobotnik#stobotnik#doctor ivo robotnik#agent stone#sonic movie universe#robotnik really pushed himself here. he didn't sleep for days#he's currently in worse shape than stone who got shot in the chest#this comic was a bit of a struggle for me. i kept wondering if the jokes ruined it?#like should i be serious for once?#but joking is my thing. i love joking#so i went well then i can avoid the serious part#but that didn't feel right either#i tried to find a balance. i don't know if i managed#cw blood#also sleeveless turtleneck because... because.#stone would never give the doctor his recipe unless he genuinely thought he was dying#because those lattes are one of the only things he feels he can do for the doctor#you know. something that makes him irreplaceable#robotnik kinda understands it but he doesn't think about it too much#yeah i'm a bit nervous about this one can you guys tell?#let me know what you think maybe

"I just don't like when people see them as one in the same"
Oh that's absolutely an understandable problem. Like Jimbotnik is a great re-interpetation of Eggman and what went on in 3 works for him, but its not really something that Game!Eggman suffered from so much as "why the hell do my parents all care about a dead girl?" which pretty much just shows his self centered attitude in a worse light. Like I get they're the same character, but they're written with enough differences for their respective mediums (its part of the why Stone would NEVER work in the games canon or comics but works perfectly for the films).
Hell I wouldn't even say this is a problem limited to Jimbotnik, people have done this shit with Boom!Eggman and Archie!Robotnik even though one is the most lighthearted while the other is detestable even by Eggman standards and is more machine than human at that point. Sorry if this sounds like yapping I just wanted to bring this point up because you're right on this.
Yeah I feel it should be pretty simple, everything would be better and much more peaceful if everyone was on the same page of understanding the adaptions are very different from the games and we're free to have our opinions on whether we like that or not. But discussion gets too often convoluted by people acting like they're one in the same and making it so much more complicated than it needs to be
Like I spend way too much of my time talking about adaptions having to say the games are much different and relay the facts, even though it should be obvious and if it was, we could talk more about the actual contents and differences between both versions and the things we like and dislike about them. But it's hard to get anywhere with that when people are saying they're literally the same
But yeah I can kinda believe all the stuff in movie 3 was consistent within the movieverse. But the stuff about his childhood has lead to those who can't separate and see the differences between the movie and game characterizations to think it applies to game Eggman too and that's my gripe. It's not really saying anything about what I think about the movies compared to certain parts of the fandom
Because it's such a stark opposite instead that it harms perception and discussion of his game character to see them as the same. Game Eggman has always been very secure and genuinely believed he deserves all the love and attention to the point of being like "ugh why is everyone always talking about my terminally ill child cousion who tragically died? hellooo, I'm right here being brilliant and perfect and worthy of your praise so give it to me"
And that's very compelling for game Eggman and I really like what it says about him, just how deep his narcissistic egotism and entitlment goes, and how genuine and long term it is for him and is such a strong motivator to accomplish his goals and the reason they exist in the first place, to make everyone recognize the brilliance he knows he has and hail him for it. While jimbotnik has his very different ways others like and find interesting too
And yeah this doesn't just happen when it comes to the movies compared to the games, it happens with every other adaption despite them all being very different from the games too so I'm always sure to discuss it there and emphasize that too. My main focus and priority every time is just to help people understand game Eggman's differences and why he's so cool and loveable for it, whether you also like his other portrayals in other adaptions or not

20 Questions for fic writers
@hylianworrier tagged me (love you mean it)
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
20 even!
2. What’s your total AO3 word count? 185,151
3. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
The Wizard Distribution System
Just ridiculous Bloodweave reverse isekai, for fun. A big excuse for me to make a bunch of jokes.
Sugar, Spice, and everything nice
Bloodweave gender-swapping porn
Gale Chose the Bear
Oakweave porn
Head Over Heels
Fluffy Bloodweave story. My first gift for Hylian
A View to a Kill
Crossdressing Bloodweave porn. My second gift to Hylian. I just really like Hylian, okay?!
4. What fandoms do you write for?
Only BG3. I really didn't do fandoms much, except briefly into League of Legends and it was a bad experience so I didn't get involved again until BG3/Gale/Bloodweave. It has been a great experience with a few bumps, but I've made some amazing friends!!
I had no idea Ao3 even existed until last year and I knew about tumblr but I didn't mess with it until about a year ago, too.
All of this is very new to me!!
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I try to! I have moments where my brain doesn't know what to say so I say something generic, but I try to be as thoughtful as I can!
6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Probably Always
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Most of them are one-shots and I haven't finished either of my long fics, but both of my long fics will be happy endings.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Not so far. Everyone has been pretty nice. I have got scammers on a fic before though.
9. Do you write smut?
Yeah! My most recent fic was smut!
10. Do you write crossovers?
The Wizard Distribution System will feature a brief crossover, but that would be my first one.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I know of. I don't really see the point, does this actually happen?!
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Nope
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
I host fic trains, if that counts, and recently did some RP which I've really enjoyed! I would REALLY LOVE to co-write with someone though, it just seems like fun. If someone wants to co-write a fic with me for fun sometime DM me or message me on Discord, I'd be totally down.
14. What’s your all-time favorite ship?
I never did ships before BG3! Ships is totally new to me too! Bloodweave is my favorite, but now that I've been doused in shipping culture I've been into Jayvic (Jayce and Viktor from arcane) and judge me all you want but Stobotnik (Dr. Robotnik and Stone from the live action Sonic movies)
15. What’s the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
I have a Shadowheart/Wyll fic sitting in my google docs, along with a Dark urge/Gale that's 25k words but it's so complicated and ambitious I don't know if it will get finished anytime soon (if ever)
16. What are your writing strengths?
I am still a baby writer, so I'm not totally sure, but I like to experiment with writing styles a lot. A lot of my fics are very different in terms of writing style and content.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
I'm still on the struggle bus with grammar and tenses. My vocabulary is also not as big as it could be, but I've been learning. Also, I'm totally open to criticism if anyone wants to DM me and tell me I'm shit and how I could improve.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in a fic?
I've never done it, but if I did it would be something very brief. I'm not sure I trust google translate to do it completely right lol.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
BG3, first and only.
20. Favorite fic you’ve ever written?
Probably Letters from Morena
A series of letters I wrote from the perspective of Morena to Gale during his isolation in the tower. It's very personal to me because I'm also a mom, so I wanted to explore how she probably would have felt during that time.
Come on out and play, @chaoswritesthemultiverse , @itinerantginger-blog , @miradelletarot

Heading home:
Set after the final battle, Tom and Maddie are excited they have more kids, Sonic is happy to finally find friends like him, Knuckles is worried and Tails is just tired.
After taking down Robotnik and helping clear some of the damage done to Green Hills the Wachowski family headed home.
Tom and Maddie were upfront in the car and Knuckles, Sonic and Tails were in the back.
Knuckles was firmly clutching the Master emerald in his hands as though frightened if he let it go it would disappear, Tails was squashed comfortably between Sonic and Knuckles, fast asleep having been worn out by the chaos of the battle, and Sonic was sitting with an arm wrapped around Tails, letting the Fox snuggle into him as much as the car seat allowed him, Sonic was thinking about everything that happened over the last two days.
Robotnik had returned and was defeated, the master emerald was both real and in their possession, and now Knuckles and Tails were here.
Mind you Sonic was certainly grateful they were here, not cause they helped him and literally saved his life, but because of the company.
As much as he'd loved being an only child, it could be lonely sometimes, with Tails and Knuckles, that was Likely gonna change.
Sonic was brought out of his thoughts by the sound of Tails stirring next to him.
"Sonic, where are we going?" Tails mumbled, the Kit's voice laced heavily with sleep and he looked ready to konk out again any moment.
"We're going home pal." Sonic simply said gently stroking the Kit behind his ears.
"Home, tha' sounds nice." Tails mumbled before yawning and falling right back to sleep.
Sonic chuckled then looked over at Knuckles who was still stone silent.
"You okay there Knucklehead?" Sonic asked.
Knuckles nodded.
"I am fine hedgehog, I am just...thinking." Knuckles said.
"If it's about Egghead, don't worry we won't see him again, or at least for a while." Sonic said.
"I'm aware, but that is not what is on my mind." Knuckles said.
"Then what is it?" Sonic asked curious.
"I helped Robotnik to acquire the emerald and also hurt you, this town and the Fox, will I truly be accepted into your...family?" Knuckles asked.
"Course you will, Eggman manipulated you and used you into doing those things." Sonic said.
"Besides this family always seems to meet in some weird way." He added.
"It's true, when I first met Sonic I shot him with a bear tranquilliser." Tom said.
"And the Fox hit me with a car on our first meeting." Knuckles added casually.
Tom and Maddie both gaped at Knuckles then at Tails.
"Oh my God, are you OK?" Maddie asked him worriedly.
"I am fine, I have quite a strong body so the car didn't do anything serious, besides he was saving Sonic?" Knuckles said.
"Yeah, he even drove it off a cliff to save me." Sonic added.
"I was wondering where that went." Tom muttered under his breath.
He looked at Tails.
"Remind me not to get on his bad side." He chuckled.
He looked back at Knuckles.
"But don't worry about anything Knuckles, you're part of this family now and if GUN or Robotnik want you back they'll have to step over my cold, dead body." Tom said.
"Same here." Maddie nodded.
For the first time since meeting him Sonic thought he saw a smile on the Echnida's face.
"I certainly hope it doesn't come to that, but I appreciate the sentiment behind it." Knuckles said nodding.
After a while of driving in silence they finally arrived home.
Tom, Maddie and Knuckles all climbed out while Sonic coaxed a deep asleep Tails awake.
"Huh, wh're we." Tails yawned not looking too pleased to be woken up and clearly wanting to go back to sleep.
"We're home pal, but I need you to get up." Sonic said.
Tails grumbled slightly from tiredness but with some assistance from Sonic he climbed out the car.
Sonic took in the kit and saw just how exhausted he really looked, his tails and ears dropped slightly and he could barely keep his eyes open.
"Tired bud?" Sonic asked slightly teasingly.
Tails just yawned his tails flicking slightly as he tried to stifle said yawn behind his hand.
"Yeah." Tails added after a moment.
"I can tell." Sonic chuckled giving Tails a scratch behind the ear before taking ahold of the Kit's hand.
"C'mon bud, let's get you some shut eye." Sonic smiled and Tails nodded too tired to reply.
Meanwhile Tom, Maddie and Knuckles were inspecting the damage.
"All in all it's not too bad, we can definitely stay tonight, but we should probably have this fixed soon." Maddie asked.
"I'll get started then." Knuckles said.
"What do you mean pal?" Tom asked confused.
"I have inflicted this damage upon your home and I should be the one to fix it." Knuckles said.
"Honey, that wasn't your fault, that horrible man manipulated you into doing those things." Maddie said.
"But I need to attone for my actions." Knuckles said.
"You already have Knuckles by saving the town, that's more than enough." Tom said.
Knuckles nodded, though he didn't seem fully convinced.
"Now, let's show you guys where you'll be staying for the night." Maddie said.
"We can stay?" A tiny voice asked.
The others turned to see Sonic and Tails behind her, Tails was looking at her curiously.
"Of course Baby, we'd love you to stay with us." Maddie said.
"Yeah kid, you're more than welcome." Tom nodded.
Tails nodded and yawned heavily leaning into Sonic's side.
"Okay, I think that's the signal for bedtime, come on guys." Tom said.
They went inside the house and after being greeted (and licked) by Ozzie they went up to Sonic's room.
Tails gaped in awe as they went into the room.
"Wow, it's so cool in here." Tails said looking around the room in awe.
"Okay guys, get yourselves ready for bed, it's been a long day." Tom said.
Sonic climbed into his bed and Tails went over to the beanbag chair and climbed onto it, humming contently as he lay down on it, apparently finding it comfortable enough.
"We've got a spare sleeping bag in the garage Knuckles, if you'd like it, looks like Miles has already claimed the bean bag.
Knuckles looked over and indeed Tails was stretched out on the bean bag in a ball, mumbling contently as he slept.
Nearby Sonic looked over with a very fond look, Knuckles couldn't help but feel the same.
Knuckles looked back at Maddie.
"Yes please, that would be very nice." Knuckles nodded.
Maddie nodded and soon returned with said sleeping bag, as well as a blanket which she gently draped over Tails.
Maddie then set up the sleeping bag for Knuckles who after thanking her climbed in.
"Goodnight boys, sleep well." Maddie said.
She kissed each of the boys on their foreheads before leaving for Tom's room.
Sonic yawned and stretched out on his bed.
"Night Knux, I hope you like it here." Sonic said.
"Goodnight." Knuckles replied.
Knuckles looked at Sonic, then Tails and with a small smile closed his eyes.
"I think I will." Knuckles mumbled to himself.

Just got back from Sonic 3!!
Y'know, I'm really more of a Mario guy... Except when it comes to the movies. I freaking LOVE the Sonic movies. The third installment is no exception.
It met my expectations, which considering how high they were, is really impressive!
First of all: YES! THEY ACTUALLY PLAYED LIVE AND LEARN IN THE MOVIE! I'm actually really impressed with how they utilized the theme throughout the score, while still saving the full version of the song for The Right Time.
I'm actually not usually a big Jim Carry fan, but I really enjoyed how he played off of himself as both Gerald and Eggman.
The plot this time is a lot tighter than the last two. There is still one random dance scene, but it's Jim Carrey improving so we'll let it slide.
Gosh Knuckles is still just the best, every scene and plot beat they give him is just perfect.
And MAN. The set up with Maria is just heartbreaking. They really layer on the cute shenanigans in the flashback to really get you attached. Meanwhile everyone in the audience is tensing up because even the people who aren't familiar with the games must have realized where this is going.
They may have changed a few things, like the base being under a mountain instead of in space, and instead of being shot down, Maria is killed in an explosion... Caused by a stray bullet because the agents were trying to shoot her, but Olive Garden Guy tried to push the gun away.
(man I was really hoping Olive Garden Guy was the one who killed her, that would have been hilarious. But I guess the filmmakers wanted to avoid the Harsher in Hindsight implications)
But anyway, they may have changed some things, but the core of Shadow and Maria's relationship is still there, and it still leaves that impact on Shadow that drives him to vengeance, but ultimately helps him decide to make the right choice.
Also they are really hammering in the Eggman/Stone shipping as much as they can without just coming out and saying it. When Tails is like "You're Robotnik's friend, right?" And Stone's just like. "... 🙃 Yeah. That's what our relationship is." I laughed so hard. And Eggman's goodbye. I don't know if heartbreaking is the right word for it, but I definitely felt emotions.
And for the post credits scenes, I want to start with the second because I have more to say about the first. We all knew Shadow isn't dead, I didn't need to sit in the theater for an extra 10 minutes for that.
But the first scene...
Amy is finally here! Yay! About time!
So yeah, I think it's safe to say that Sonic 4 is gonna be based on Sonic CD, which is gonna be interesting because obviously they're planning on putting Shadow in the mix. Should be interesting.
I saw a few people confused as to how Metal Sonic can be there if Eggman just died in the Eclipse Cannon explosion, but 1) If Shadow survived then it's not a stretch to assume Eggman survived too. And 2) Sonic CD is all about the time travel. It could be Eggman from the past or the future or even an alternative timeline if Jim Carrey stays retired this time.

A few months later, a strange blackout leads to a full-on investigation, Lucky being released into the custody of a mad genius, Dr. Ivo Robotnik, to help him find the culprit using any means necessary.

**AO3 & Wattpad links in masterpost pinned to the top of the blog**
After a couple minutes, Robotnik lets Stone and I in the lab part of the truck. He types away at his screen, showing an image of a road map.
"Judging by the quickest route to San Francisco, the approximate speed of their vehicle and local weather conditions..." He continues typing. "They should be right about... here."
The image of the road map zooms in and shows Tom's truck. Stone looks on in awe as my eyes widen.
"That's brilliant, sir."
I nod, adding, "I will admit, that's pretty impressive."
Robotnik fakes a smile, saying, "Thanks." He turns back to his screen, and I barely catch him whispering, "For nothing." My smile falls. Okay, so he's still a douche. I don't know why I'm surprised. Robotnik begins to set up his capture plan, looking through a holographic screen and watching the road from a vehicle's perspective. "Eeny, meeny, miny... Mayhem!"
He sends out a large drone car toward the truck, quickly catching up to Tom and the Mobian as it shoots a harpoon straight through the back of the truck and catches the dashboard, making the human and Mobian scream. Robotnik pumps his fist in celebration.
"Yeah!"
Tom swerves to try to yank the harpoon loose, and Robotnik activates the drone car's winch, pulling Tom's truck toward it slowly.
The truck starts speeding faster, and the harpoon starts coming loose. The truck slams against a traffic barrier, knocking the Mobian out of the truck and onto the windshield. I can't hear what they're saying from the drone car's camera, but they look like they're arguing. The Mobian starts radiating blue energy, and a moment later, the truck speeds faster again, the harpoon letting go of the dashboard.
The Mobian goes flying off the truck's windshield and goes flying before he curls into a ball and slamming into the drone car, releasing an electromagnetic pulse that knocks the drone car on it's side. The truck turns around, Tom driving back over to the Mobian. He's finally close enough we can hear what he's saying.
"Sonic! Sonic!"
The blue Mobian, Sonic, uncurls and gets up slowly, groaning.
"Guess I had a bonus life." His head turns toward the drone car on it's side and runs up to it. "Oh, yeah, baby!" He starts dancing, swaying his hips side to side and bringing his arms around to either side of him. "Sonic: 1, big tank: 0. I'm sorry, did we get that on camera?"
I scoff.
"Unfortunately."
Tom shouts, "How are you not dead?"
Sonic responds, "I have no idea! Did you see me dancing?"
"Yes, I saw you dancing."
Sonic turns to the drone car again, a smug grin on his face.
"Is that all you got?!"
Robotnik smirks.
"No, but thank you for asking."
He sends out another robot drone to continue the pursuit. Sonic looks worried, his eyes widening.
"Uh oh."
"Sonic! Get back in the truck!"
"You go! I'll catch up!"
Tom drives away, and Sonic zips back to the truck and climbs in, fumbling for the passenger door before finally closing it. A smaller car drone deploys from the damaged drone car. The smaller drone car prepared its weapon, and shoots homing mines at the truck.
Tom swerves at the last second to avoid being caught in the explosion, and the homing mine heads straight for another vehicle ahead of Tom. It attaches itself underneath the vehicle and emits an electromagnetic pulse, sending it flying as Sonic climbs to the back of Tom's truck.
He jumps from the back of the truck and runs toward several more homing mines, throwing one at another, skating on two of them, and the finally approaches the smaller drone car with a homing mine in his hand. He peers right into the robot's camera, his face taking up the entire screen, infuriating Robotnik.
"Hey, everybody! Welcome to my livestream! Today, we're destroying robots! Step one!"
Sonic slams the homing mine down on the smaller drone car and the electromagnetic pulse sends it veering off course, crashing into hills as Sonic hops back into Tom's truck. An even smaller one-wheeled drone continues the pursuit. My eyebrow raises.
"Why are there so many of these drone things? Not that it's not cool, but where did you get the funding for all this?"
Robotnik smirks, turning around in his seat to face me.
"Ever wonder where your tax dollars are going?"
"What tax dollars?"
Robotnik rolls his eyes, turning back to his monitors. The one-wheeled drone brandishes sharp spikes on both sides of its wheel as it catches up with Tom's truck. Tom opens the door and swings a flashlight, but the robot dodges. If Tom is holding onto the vehicle, then is Sonic driving? If he is, he's doing a terrible job. The truck swerves violently to dodge the drone.
All of a sudden, the truck speeds up, then the truck slows down, slamming the drone against the door, giving Tom the opportunity he needs and swings the flashlight upward in an uppercut, knocking the drone over. Tom climbs back into the truck, and Robotnik stands up, clearly furious.
"Oh! Give me a big, fat break!"
He sends out one last drone, a tiny helicopter, and it catches up to Tom's truck. Sonic looks at the tiny drone, smiling at it.
"Aw, this one is cute. Let's keep him."
The drone starts using its propellers to slice through the metal of the truck, working its way around the window frames. Tom is driving again, and he looks annoyed.
"Oh, come on!"
"How could something so adorable be so terrible?!" The helicopter is almost done slicing. "You've got car insurance, right?" The whole window frame comes loose and flies off, causing Sonic and Tom to scream, then Sonic grabs the helicopter. "Buzz off." He yanks off the body, but now the core is stuck to his hand and starts beeping like a bomb. "That doesn't sound good."
"No, beeping is bad! Get rid of it!"
"I'm trying!"
Sonic tries to shake the bomb off his hand.
"Throw it out the win- Throw it anywhere!"
"I can't get it off!"
"Alright, I'm pulling over!"
Tom pulls over and drives a little ways away while Sonic tries to get the bomb off his hand, one of Robotnik's cameras watching them.
"Did I get it?"
The bomb is stuck to Sonic's forehead.
"Nope." Tom runs to Sonic with a handkerchief. "Here, hold still."
Tom pries the bomb off Sonic's head with the handkerchief and throws it far away.
"It's going, it's going... It's still here!" Tom holds his hands up, the bomb stuck to one of them. He tries to shake it off as well, but Sonic gets it off his hand and tries prying it off his own hand with a stick. "Get off me!" The bomb is now stuck to a large rock, and Sonic laughs. "Nailed it!"
He starts walking away, and the bomb explodes, sending Sonic flying, and Tom jumps off the ground from the shockwave. As the dust starts settling, Robotnik is panting and breathing heavily while Stone and I watch the monitors.
"Did we get 'em? No, no, there they are. They're real survivors, those two."
I let out a long sigh, crossing my arms.
"Yeah, and now they're getting away again."
Robotnik, not panting anymore, turns to Agent Stone.
"Can we have a moment?" The two walk over to a wall. "Pin yourself to the wall." Stone does so obediently, and Robotnik presses his face very close to Stone's. How many times has he pinned himself to the wall like this? "You know, I won't miss you when you're gone. Human beings are unreliable and stupid, and I care very little about them." He turns to look at me, adding, "Especially whatever the hell they are."
"Mobian."
"Don't care." He turns back to Stone. "But my machines are diligent, relentless. They're everything to me!" A faint blue light glows from inside Stone's coat, reminding me and Robotnik about the quill. Robotnik pulls out Sonic's quill and inspects it. "Omoshiroi."
That definitely wasn't in English. Robotnik presses the tip of the quill to his tongue and the energy gives him a shock, making his head twitch violently. He offers the quill to Stone, who looks a little confused. Robotnik looks at me, and as I realize what he's thinking, I start shaking my head and hands.
"Oh, no, no, no. You're not getting my fur, you weirdo."
He shrugs.
"Another time, then."
"Never happening."

Sonic 3 movie ramble except I have it scheduled for sometime when I feel it's ok to put all these thoughts out there
WARNING, BELOW THE CUT CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR A LARGE MAJORITY OF SONIC 3! Like seriously.
HOLY FUCK /POS
I want to talk about EVERYTHING that stuck out to me.
In order, and in list format sorta.
- That entire Shadow Break-out scene. Holy shit that is SO well orchestrated?? Like if I wasn't in a theatre I would've been SCREAMING, cheering shadow on! Like slay little king!
- during the race between sonic tails and knuckles, NO ONE HAS POINTED IT OUT AT THE TIME IM WRITING THIS SO IDK IF IM CRAZY OR NOT BUT I swear they used voice clips from Sonic Heroes on tails. Bc that DID NOT sound like movie tails. I kinda hope I'm right because that wpuld be SUPER funny. Also I genuinely thought that whole hologram thing was a setup for "Oh sonic is having a nightmare" or "GUN is taking his family hostage!" I'm kinda glad neither of those were the case, what actually happened was far more wholesome.
- I love how Tom and Maddie barely even question why GUN needs their kids. Like they absolutely are used to these shenanigans by now. I love em.
- that entire fight scene between shadow and sonic in Tokyo. Need I say more?
- I want chao garden to be real now. I want to try whatever they were serving there. Idk what it could be but it looked so goood.
-the commander. I love how he doesn't question the meeting location at all :)
- also DID THEY KILL OFF THE COMMANDER?? I THINK THEY DID AND THAT WAS ONE OF THE BIGGEST SHOCKS TO ME LIKE DAMN!
- this movie made me come to terms with the fact that not only do I see Agent Stone as my favorite human character in the sonic franchise, but that I might have formed a new fictional crush for him. Like that there is a sweet man who is ALSO a total badass.
- robotnik traumatizing team sonic with his belly bongo.
-it's a little early to say this, but I think shadow smiled here more than he has in his entire existence before this movie, and that means the world to me
-I love Maria in this movie. Her and shadow here are even more wholesome. They're both so silly!!! I'm kinda glad the "shot in the chest" thing didn't happen. I love how they worked around it.
- KNUCKLES IS AFRAID OF GHOSTS! the silly :)))) shadows fuckin "boo" hehe
- tails and stone re-enacting the "why does he call you babygirl" thing in vibes is so silly. Like just lookin at Stone.. bro.. this entire movie is stobotnik.. ily stone
-I really love that they had Sonic take the route that had the Maria Memories. Like hell yea.. understand the emo hedgehog... before getting tied up..
-I wish the black hole orb things were explained. Like they probably didn't have the time bc of all yhe other cool stuff happening but you can't just have shadow activate a black hole and expect me not to ask questions lol
- the little VR simulation thing with Robotnik and Gerald was super silly. I was wondering how the Christmas thing would be in the movie. But then you see STONE THERE AND OUGH. MY HEART. THIS POOR MAN.
- "evil guac"
- I honestly forgot about the cursed "sonics face on Tom's head" thing until getting to that scene in the movie. Genuine jumpscare.
-I thought they were actually about to kill Tom off and began tearing up.
- Sonic harnessing the emeralds in his state made be believe that there was about to be a fleetway super sonic reference and that wade was about to be like "woah woah... this isn't you..."
- also WADE WTF ARE YOU DOING PLAYONG HOCKY WITH THE MASTER EMERALD DUDEEEE (side note, at the time of writing this, I've yet to watch the knuckles mini-series. I know only two things from it. Knuckles has excellent taste in Doritos, and is somehow connected to the Flames of Disaster. I. Really need to watch that series.)
- oh yea let's skip ahead to THE FIGHT AROUND THE WORLD BETWEEN SUPER SONIC AND SUPER SHADOW HELLO??? FUCK YEAH THATS THE BEST WAY TO HAVE THESE TWO BEAT EACHOTHER UP!!! ALL THE WAY TO THE MOON!!!
- before I continue I want to share something else I've seen no one talk about at this time. Super Shadow. I think they made him kinda rose-gold here? Gave him slightly pink eyes? Idk if I'm crazy for seeing that but I love it and now any time I draw super shadow I want to make sure he looks rose-gold-ish.
-oh yeah LIVE AND LEARN THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST RENDITIONS IVE EVER HEARD OF LIVE AND LEARN. This is also possibly an even cooler part of the movie because I recently completed the Last Story of SA2. So I understand now.
-the Gerald betrayal... ooo I love how evil he is!
- at this point I'm jumping around plot points but I wanna say that the part where Robotnik fired stone fuckin HURT. Like YOUR BOYFRIENDS TRYNA WARN YOU.... LISTEN TO HIM... HE LOVES YOU....
- I absolutely adore robotnik and Gerald's suits. They're so game accurate and it makes me wish Gerald was rocking something like that in the games. I get why not tho.
-also Gerald is OVER 100 YEARS OLD DAYUM BRO
- the laser dance scene. MY FINGERS ARE ON THE BUTTON! PUSH THE BUTTON!!
- Gerald's death is my favorite thing ever. Just. Zzt. Hehe
-stobotnik is officially tragic yaoi. We won. But at what cost.
- beyond happy that Tom's okay!!
- ok post credit stuff all in one point. METAL SONIC!!??!?@?@ HELL YEAH HE LOOKS SO PERFECT! and even better- MULTUPLE METAL SONICS!! I SWEAR I THINK THE OTHER ONES HAD THE EYELINER THING THAT 3.0 HAS BUT QITH THE LIGHTING ITS JARD TO TELL. and AMY ROSE!!! Ok so her being in the post credits was kind of spoiled for me ahead of time, but I'm glad it was only in mention. Bc OH MY GODD SHES ADORABLE !! I can't wait for Sonic 4. Gonna be real though, I had hoped for Silver or Rouge. Getting both Metal Sonic and Amy more than makes up for it though.
-if it's true that a shadow miniseries is being made, they BETTER have shadow and Stone bond as a family thing!!! I NEEEEED IIIIIIIIIIT.......... or Rouge. Or both. Hey either way it's shadow so it'll be cool.
Overall this entire movie was a Rollercoaster of emotions, and if it weren't for my sister and I going to the arcade right after, I probably would've sobbed the entire night away from both how good the movie was and how emotional it made me.

Took My Wallet (A Stobotnik Fic Pt1)
I wrote a series of Stobotnik One shots that at this point flow into a story so uh here you go.
For basic context this is an AU where Stone and Eggman are childhood friends!
Stone talks in Blue
Eggman in Red
♡ "What's the softest way to say,
That you took away my friend,
My buddy?"♡
After graduation Stone had said something the Ivo honestly should have expected. And yet it still caused the now no longer high school student to process.
"Ivo. I'm a guy."
No not that. That's not the right thing!!!! But it is funny. Not the point! Anyway.
"Yeah. I've been thinking about going to college. And I got accepted! It's pretty far out though. Like 15 hours by car? But it's got a pretty great curriculum and has what I want to major in!"
Baffled. Ivo stands there for a moment. Others chatting loudly and their parents congratulating them, some just enjoying the other's presence. And some rough housing like normal. 15 hours. That meant that they-
I mean. He would live. Would just be really bumming to know he wouldn't be able to see the other often, if ever during the next couple years.
"But hey. I promise to write to ya. Ok?" Ivo stops, before chuckling.
"Alright. Good luck then, Stone."
"You too, Ivo. Now c'mon! The night isn't over yet. And I'm not gone for another week! So let's make the most of it."
And that was true.
Though the week went by faster than Ivo would ever like to admit. But. They promised each other to write.
Weekly.
Every week, same time, letters would be mailed. And if they missed a day that was made up by being sent later.
A specific letter that always stuck out to the young Robotnik was this one in particular. At least certain lines.
'I miss talking to you in person. Everyone else seems so much less intelligent without you around. It's kind of infuriating. '
Which was a fair assessment. No one could truly match his intelligence. But the other one.
'Exams are coming up so I probably won't be able to write to you as often as I'd like. Sorry Doctor. I promise to make it up to you. I love you <3'
Doctor. I love you. Odd choice words considering. The last one was certainly new within their messages. Ivo leans back into his chair, spinning around in it.
What he wasn't expecting was for the letters to stop altogether. The first 3 weeks he brushed under the rug. By the time 4, 5, and 6 went by he found himself worried. Stone couldn't have forgotten, right? Surely everything was… ok.
It wasn't like their Junior year. It wasn't. Stone was fine. Maybe the letters just got lost in the mail. Incompetence was common within mailing.
Still. He couldn't help but feel uneasy.
Weeks turned into months. And before he realized it. 4 years had gone by. 4 years, 5 months, 2 weeks, 3 days, and 14 hours.
Why had he still been counting, anyhow? What was the point? Stone hadn't sent him a trace to know if he was alive or not. So why keep counting? Every second that ticked by, every minute, hour, day, week- he was still waiting. This was silly. Even when he pondered his orb something would nag at him.
Why did Stone leave?
