Happy birthday to us!

The Omen Archive celebrated its first anniversary last week*! We began tracking Campaign 3 data at the start of 2024, but went live on April 11.

Since then, we've posted data for 39 episodes and tracked over 4,000 d20 rolls. We've added pages for 42 PCs and shared data in 34 different categories…

...a number that will be climbing past 50 in the coming days (!). Stay tuned for Campaign 3 At A Glance, featuring campaign roundup data like top damage dealers, top spells cast, episode with the most KOs, and total time passed, as well as debuting tons of new categories like Sendings, Druidcrafts, wood carvings, Wild Shapes, and every single time Ashton said "fuck."

Hello! I was reading your posts about age gaps and it made me think about how Fort and Peat did two age gap series with seniority swapped—pretty convincingly too! I can think of pairs who’ve done age-gap in one series and same-age in another but no other “verse” ones. (Maybe Yin and War, a bit, in Love Mechanics vs Jack & Joker?) Can you think of any other pairs that have done this?

Top and Mick: Top is older. I don't think these two can be considered a branded pair, but Every You, Every Me is a masterclass in switching, verse, and rearranging all power dynamics, so I figured I should mention them.

I've left off pairs who haven't yet acted in their 2nd roles (PerthSanta, PavelPoom, UpPoom, MileApo). No I don't care if a new BL is announced or being filmed. It has to actually air to count.

I didn't rewatch to double check so I may be wrong on a few of these. I suffer from Only Friends blindness so that would be one that tripped me up.

We've had two awesome years of Perc'ahlia week - with a third coming this fall! Given September 29th falls on a Monday, that'll be the start date of this year's event (with Yours / Later as per tradition).

After two runs of this event, we wanted to ask for your feedback with a very brief survey. Which prompts, or styles or prompts, get your muse going? What could help you have a great time this year? Are there any ways we should shake up how the event is run?

And we've got a little community event we'd like to pitch at the end! ;)

If all goes well in our busy lives (unlike last year, woops), we should have further announcements to come in the coming months. Hopefully, with your feedback, the prompt list should be done before summer really kicks off!

Fun with Nominations Data!

So, I went through the nominations data for fun, and:

213 of the nominated relationships have at least one character who show up in campaign 3, as opposed to 202 for campaign 2 and 113 in campaign one.

BUT there are only 34 relationships that have at least one character who showed up Only in Campaign One, as opposed to 79 in Campaign Two and 46 in Campaign Three

7 relationships have a combination of ships that have showed up in all three campaigns - four of those involve Artagan

6 Relationships feature characters that only show up in non-main campaigns - Three from the Re-Slayers take, One from Darrington, One from EXU, and one from Wildemount Wildlings.

60 Characters show up only once. Any guesses to who they are?

More platonic relationships (210) were nominated than romantic (197)!

77 of the relationships feature more than two people

The top most nominated characters are Essek Thelyss (at 40), Ashton Greymoore (at 39), and Vex'ahlia (at 33). Caleb is right behind them with 31.

Astrid and Eadwulf are tied with 24 relationships each.

People were pretty quick to point out that Susie doesn't seem to fit into the role of "The Girl" in The Prophecy, but to be honest Kris can be pretty easily replaced as well. Their role in The Prophecy is to be "THE CAGE, WITH HUMAN SOUL AND PARTS," which means that their only real purpose is to exist and contain the SOUL so The Player can control them and do what's needed to play the game. They're essentially a vessel, though not an empty one that can be perfectly controlled (judging by how they can defy The Player at times and are working with The Roaring Knight, it's clear that they have their own thoughts/opinions/agenda).

You know what else can be a cage with a human SOUL and parts? What we molded to our exact preferences and will likely be perfectly obedient as a result? The Vessel we made at the start of Chapter 1.
