oughhh ..... waking up in the middle of the night or just a little too early and your f/o groggily tugging you back into place with some little half-coherent words of encouragement. call them selfish, but they'll take the label with no complaint if it means they get to have you lie down at their side just a while longer. the tired little motions they go through to try and make sure that you're able to fall back asleep before they let themself do the same, whether that be tracing shapes along your skin in gentle little gestures or even humming, they're putting the effort in even though sleep might be clinging onto them like a 2 ton weight.

honestly foolish's character walking the slightly meta line of "oo this'll be fun content" makes him feel like that marvel immortal character who is only immortal as long as he doesn't get bored (and was played by jeff goldblum in the movies). like idk why but the more i see of foolish's rp the more solidified the comparison gets in my mind.

like it's kinda cool for a headcanon ngl and also it means i'm not really surprised pikachu-ing when, say, he flips a coin to decide whether to rat out his son-in-law, or climbs into an incubator of corruption crystals, or doesn't ENTIRELY kick owen out of the kingdom. it's not that he doesn't CARE, but..... well, wouldn't it be interesting? don't you want to know what would happen?

GOD severance is so good and SO clever with just completely recontextualizing a character in one fell swoop. Natalie going from this mysterious, intimidating mouthpiece of the board to someone who might very well be very, very trapped in one statement during the exchange with the blackface Kier paintings. In one episode, suddenly Mark's endless grief for gemma was visible and tangible and the whole premise of the show is stronger than its ever been. One scene, very few lines of dialogue, and the Gemma/Devon/Ricken/Mark friend circle is understandable and tight-knit and natural- every relationship involved suddenly clicks the way it should. One scene with Dylan's outie and his entire character felt like it had been filled in. One episode on Harmony Cobel and suddenly she's not crazy, she's not acting as bizarrely as it seemed, she's a scientist and a deeply traumatized little girl and a very scorned woman who has never had control over her life or her work. It all just clicks.
