Completely unrelated to my previous post: I had an older lady come up to me as I was exiting my therapy appointment and waiting for my ride, I had my rollator with all my stickers and my butterfly bag on it. She also had a rollator- and as she got closer;

She grinned and said "Race ya."

yall it was the highlight of my day. I didn't get to thank her for the giggle it got out of me before she was already inside the hospital building. But it was one of the first positive interactions I had with taking my rollator with me out of the house.

does anybody else have like “ dream “ mobility aids they wish theyll have one day but probably wont ( at least for the foreseeable future ) because their disability isnt bad enough as other people who actually need that stuff

Taking The Cadillac (my rollator) out today on errands. I feel so much better; not in as much pain or as fatigued!

i wish i lived a life without pain, for at least fifteen minutes. im always in pain. i barely notice my pain at this point, but its there. its constantly buzzing inside of me, screaming for my attention.

I finished decorating my new rollator for now! I'm really pleased with how it looks, I think it's pretty cute. I named it Bumblebee, it's a Comodita Tipo Stand Up Advance All Terrain rollator, and so far it's been incredibly helpful for getting around outside!

I wasn't planning on getting a new mobility aid so soon, but as much as I loved my old rollator (SteVe), I knew that an upright would be much better for my back and wrists. The smaller wheels also kept getting stuck in cracks, and I nearly faceplanted several times as a result. So when I saw a local mobility aid dealer selling all his old floor models for cheap, I couldn't pass it up.

This is the most effort that I've put into customizing a mobility aid thus far. I won't lie, it was a pain (literally), but I love her. Walking with her feels AMAZING. I was actually able to go for a walk around my neighborhood without pain! So happy to be ringing in the new year with her!

i love sitting in my rollator while taking breaks from walking. just pick a shady spot and Sit for a while before moving on. god bless mobility aids.

i made my new rollator a seat cover, back rest cover and basket (it didnt come with a basket). I made the patterns myself!!
