There are similarities, I suppose. Neither Jeeves nor Wooster have any room for romantic relationships with the opposite sex, and even the ones they do have never feel like they're actually invested, and it's the same for Rosemary and Laura.

it's not too late for them to do a Midsomer Murders episode where two of the suspects are an old retired lesbian couple named Mrs Parsely and Sage. Their entire house is constantly filled with flowers. Enough so that it's weird. They're considered to be suspicious characters because of the sheer number of murders they've been in the vicinity of in the past. They're found in the shrubbery watching the murderers house at least once, because they're old and don't realize how loud they're being. A police officer recognizes one as a fellow officer's mum. There's an undrivable Land Rover in their yard.
