So, for the past few days, I've been putting together a new AU! I think I'm going to call it the "Intwined Fates" AU
Remember Aceius? From that one drawing I made?
Tumblr media
This one! Well, I've made him some friends! And a bunch of cool lore!
Tumblr media
Behold, the two friends I've made for Aceius! The lore is completely separate from the creepypasta, I'm just taking these guys and going nuts with em!
The lore so far on paper-
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Fully fleshed out lore below!
At one point in time, King Ghidorah attacked Aceius's home planet, hoping to destroy or conquer it for his own goals. However, he was mortally wounded and was forced to flee. But in leaving, he let out a blast of cosmic energy, which Aceius protected his family from.
This cosmic energy quickly destroyed Ace's body and became one with him. After this, he found that making physical contact with anything or anyone would slowly tear the object or monster's flesh apart.
Now, having to wear specially made armor 24/7, Ace is pretty much alienated from his fellow monsters. The energy that now makes up is body is extremely powerful- so much so, that he cannot fairly fight anyone. So whenever he must train, he holds back.
He can't speak because of how damaged his vocal cords are. But when he does, it's very important.
He can't physically interact with anyone, can't fairly fight, can't talk to anyone. Nobody is equal to him in any sense
And even then, everyone is scared of him.
But then he's told to enter this tournament- just the last round.
In this tournament, the most powerful of monsters go against each other- but none of those are able to be an equal to Ace...
Except for the last one.
Red.
*****
Nobody knows why Red entered the tournament, but everyone fears the Hellbeast down to their core.
Red's rage, hunger, and pursuit for power is truly endless. He'd hunt down the most powerful of monsters, kill them, and consume whatever form of energy they had through their soul. He devoured seemingly countless amounts of them, growing stronger with each one.
Then, he found the purest essence of souls- where, nobody knows -in the form of white and blue energy resembling Hellfire.
Immediately, he murdered the angelic guards that kept it from him, and devoured it.
But something changed within Red after he took in this energy, and not just his new coloration. He was suddenly... calmer, and his hunger for power was now satisfied. He could feel it burning within him, he finally had all that he wanted...!
But... now what?
It feels weird not being hungry, not wanting to constantly kill, not wanting to taste blood and bring suffering.
He. Absolutely. Hates. It.
But then he's suddenly calm again. Which he finds really really weird. But his temper still flares up and wants to tear everything apart
The souls that made up this pure Hellfire were those of the innocent, which influenced Red greatly.
Red, now sometimes calling himself "Ori" for reasons he doesn't know (he's super fucking confused), enters this tournament. Maybe, if he fights again, if he can rip into flesh and taste blood, he could be his old self!
He could be the great, and all-powerful Hellbeast! A being of pure destruction and suffering!
So, in the tournament, he let's himself fully give in and ignore these new and confusing thoughts. He is fast, and ruthless, and less sadistic than usual- but he loves the rush he gets using this new Hellfire on everyone and shifting into his different forms
Everyone he faces goes down in a matter of minutes, no matter their speed, or how good their defenses are. Unfortunately, he's instructed to not kill them once the round is over- which he begrudgingly does even though it pisses him off. He's forced to be chained down at one point for refusing to not kill his opponent.
Then, he fight Aceius.
And holy shit, it was the best fight out of every one.
In Aceius and Red's fight, they both hold back in the beginning- only to be a bit surprised when the other isn't knocked out or mortally wounded.
So they go all out- Aceius using nearly his full power, and Red being his brutal self and using his new Hellfire whenever possible.
The long and exciting battle goes on for what feels like forever... until they run out of time. The fight is decided to be a draw, as neither monster was close to being too tired to continue.
At the end of it, Ace walks over to Red, and offers his hand. Only for Ori to smack it away, he doesn't know what the silent knight wants from him.
"We're equals... right?"
Red is very confused.
"nobody else is..." his voice sounds strained. Red then somewhat understands. He doesn't like that he feels terrible for this knight out of nowhere...
But Red takes his hand.
*****
Unbeknownst to all, Solomon has always been stronger than his peers- not just in physical combat and aerial battles. He's always had this strange white energy that would erupt out of him whenever angry or in danger...
Nobody else he knows has this kind of power
Of course, he's searched everywhere he could, and asked his family countless times about what it could possibly be. Only to get an old theory or myth of legendary power as an answer.
But that has never sat right with him.
Despite this lingering confusion, Solomon is an easygoing monster, doing whatever he pleases to pass the time. He's trained with and fought countless monsters, taken down many opponents.
He's been asked to join tournaments and fight the most powerful monsters there are- the best of the best!
He's seen the strongest beasts fight tooth and nail before, always filling him with excitement!
But each and every time, he refuses. Not that he doesn't think he could beat them, he absolutely could. He just doesn't care to, he doesn't need to prove that he's already the best.
When Ghidorah attacked out of nowhere one day, meteors and lightning rain from the skies as monsters fight back and others run. From the highest peak, surrounded by the tallest trees, Solomon unleashed a blast of energy.
He never knew the aftermath, only that Ghidorah fled. But he was never struck by Ghidorah's final attack. Only now did he learn of it- through Aceius, when he visited the peak, sensing the remnants of whatever power Solomon possessed.
It was a mistake to bring Ori, as he pinned Solomon down when he rushed at them, mistaking them for intruders.
After the confusion, they calm down and talk for a while- introducing themselves and telling Sol why they've come to the mountain. Solomon has seen Ace around a number of times, and even sparred with him for a bit.
Just for a moment, Aceius removes the front of their helmet to get some air. A great pang of guilt washes over Solomon once he sees what became of him after that day...
Was it his fault?
Sol's assured by Ace and Ori -in his own way- that he isn't to blame for Aceius' current state. That he couldn't have known what Ghidorah was going to do next.
Ori's eyes suddenly begin to glow, just like when he'd use his Hellfire. Solomon's chest begins to glow as well, feeling the energy within him burning.
He looks to Ace, whose body is glowing shades of yellow, pink and purple. All three of them are still for a moment, not sure why or how this is happening...
He then sees... something. A vision, maybe? He doesn't know what it was, it happened too quickly.
Solomon wants to know why their powers react to one another...
Why they're connected... what it could all mean... Why this feels oddly familiar...
Solomon doesn't know why... but he feels like he needs to stay with these two- weather it be for answers or for something else entirely, he's staying by their side.

Memories of Grandpa Hank
I'm eating a bag of mormon gorp that tastes like gasoline while watching the rain run down the mountain. The taste doesn't even bother me anymore - all homemade gorp tastes like this. It's just a natural consequence of everyone keeping their prepper shit in their garages.Ā
My dad's out in the clearing, wandering around with his GPS. He's got some pieces of wire out on top of it to try and make the effective antennae bigger, but it just makes it look like he's dowsing. Another mormon tradition. I ask him if he's close to find water yet, and he looks up at me, little rivers flowing off him, and says yeah - he can feel it.Ā
I'm sure he can. I settle under my tree and watch the droplets roll down the needles. Awaiting the final judgement of Judge GPS.Ā
A few minutes later, it provides:Ā
Turns out my dad forgot to record the location of the car this morning. The GPS remembers where we parked yesterday, but by luck my dad knows how to get from there to our car. Downside is that it's a nine mile walk just to get to yesterday's position, then another five miles to backtrack. That's fourteen miles total.Ā
I'm only thirteen.Ā
Think you can make it? my dad asks. And it's a kindness that he's worried, but it's not like there's an alternative. What else would I do, sit down in the murk and cross my fingers he finds me again? Ask him to carry me 14 miles?Ā
I'll be pretty jelly legged, I say. But yeah. I'll make it.Ā
Attaboy, he says. He fishes a bag of poptarts out and offers me one as - I think - a peace offering. A, sorry you're gonna have to walk 14 miles in the rain because I goofed kind of gift.Ā
I take a bite and, despite being individually wrapped, it still manages to taste like diesel fumes. We start hiking our incredibly long distance in terrible weather for foolish reasons, and I joke to my dad that the only way to make this day any more mormon would be by pushing handcarts.Ā
He laughs. Neither of us laugh again until 11 pm, when we stumble like drunkards into camp. My grandpa has stayed up late to make sure we weren’t lost, but he only stays up long enough to see us arrive. We try to eat a dinner of sweet potato stew, but after falling asleep in the middle twice, we agree to just go to bed.Ā
I sleep in well past nine and wake up to nobody in camp but my grandpa. My dad left with my sister to keep hunting around 5 am. I know that everyone assumes that their dad is invincible when they're 13, but I'm 28 now and part of me still thinks he's gonna live forever. That God made exactly one perpetual motion machine, and it raised me in the desert.Ā
---
Around noon my grandpa suggests hunting again. If it was my dad, I'd probably tune him out, but I like my grandpa's style of hunting. My dad hikes and hikes and hikes until the elk get tired and just let him shoot them. My grandpa finds the sleepiest, sunniest, coziest field and takes a nap there, figuring if the elk have any decent taste they'll come there at some point.
Man's got a knack for knowing what elk like - he's right more often than not. I think he might've been an elk in a previous life.Ā
I go with him, and much as I hate to admit it, the hike is good for me. I start off walking like a pirate on two peg legs, so stiff I might as well not have knees, but by the end of the mile and a half walk I'm almost normal. We make it to the edge of the clearing, and my grandpa finds a patch of grass taller and softer than the beds inside the trailer, and he curls up to sleep there. I look across the grass and I watch the comings and goings of critters through the field. Sometimes I use the scope to get a magnified view, but I never do so with my hand on the trigger. The thought of accidentally looking a person through that glass is something that sends a chill up my spine.Ā
Some deer wander through the glen, but it'd take a fool to mistake one of them for an elk. A few hours later, my grandpa wakes up and asks if I want to wander around a little. It's a lovely day. Rain comes in bursts in Arizona, and the day after is almost always clear as can be. And for a short while, all the desert browns turn green and lush. Hard mosses turn squishy and cacti swell up like fresh baked muffins and for a while you can get why people settled in these god forsaken wastes.Ā
So I go with him, and we walk on, me with my gun, him just taking in the forest. He looks so peaceful that I get a little jealous, but it's not until my grandpa stops and looks at me that I even notice it myself. Takes a mirror, sometimes, to know yourself.
Being near my grandpa is always a strange thing for me. He's quiet, and he doesn't talk much, and I don't ever get the feeling that he's particularly emotionally intelligent - but it's like he's interacting with a reality more raw and real than mine. Like I'm watching symbols on a screen and he's counting atoms. And sometimes, just being near him gives me access to that raw matter. Just something about how he is breaks the illusions of the world.
He looks at the gun like a foreign object, like he doesn't recognize it, then he looks at me. He speaks and he doesn't mince words.Ā
What would you do if an elk came across the path and you shot it right now? he asks.Ā
Well, I'd start cleaning it, I say, and he waves the words away like cobwebs in his face.Ā
But would you celebrate? he presses.
And I look at him, and I don't actually see any judgement staring back. He knows the answer, and he's at peace with it. He’s asking so I can see it too. He’s being a mirror so I can see my own face.
I think I might actually cry, I admit. And he nods along in agreement before reaching forward to take the gun off my shoulder.Ā
Lets just walk today, he says. No chance of killing anything. No worrying about that.Ā
Right, I say.Ā
He pops the chamber open and tosses me back my bullet. I catch it, and the relief I feel is palpable.Ā
Can I change my mind? I ask, and he shrugs.
Whenever you want. Hunt or don’t. It’s not the hunting that I’m worried about. It’s seeing you ignore your conscience.
And for a moment, I'm there in the real world with him, and my gloves are off, and reality is a metal cube in my hand: Sharp and cold and heavy.
Or maybe that’s just the bullet.
---
We make it back to camp a bit later than my dad. We get there and he’s waiting for us. If he's tired, he doesn't show it.Ā
How'd it go? he asks. My grandpa looks at me, and I don't know how to respond. I don't know how to explain it, and I am scared.Ā
Great, he replies. It's a shame Babs only has a doe tag. We saw a five-point out there. Close enough to hit with a football.Ā
No, my dad says. If his grin was a half inch wider, both ends of his mouth would meet in the back of his head and everything above his tongue would slide off.
Tell him Babs, grandpa says. And, not for the first time, and especially not the last, I try my hand at spinning a yarn.Ā
It's pretty good. But at 13, I still have a lot to learn.

space sweepers but they're delivery people and are at no point on screen through the entire movie
#fantasy high#riz gukgak#kristen applebees#gorgug thistlespring#adaine abernant#fabian seacaster#figueroth faeth#the bad kids#half tempted to say these names are forum handles they use so much it pretty much became their professional names lol#I keep them teenagers bc its funnier that way#no real lore I just like drawing this. but I do think abt how theyre all weirdos too also bc thats funny to me#riz is a huge conspiracyhead who does everything by hands. he has a casio fx-570 in mint condition. nobody knows how he's maintaining it#he is nonetheless Really Good at his job. which somewhat tracks bc it's a job that requires keeping up with interstation conflicts#and new policies and an obsessive amount of planning. but he is Too Good at it. and also he dresses like that#kristen has the atomic engine that theoretically lets her unmake and remake matters with her mind. but it consumes a huge amount#of energy so it's mostly useless. she's still a cult survivor also#gorgug lives his entire life on a ship with his parents who quit a cushy deal maintaining a space station bc he wouldn't be allowed on#the low gravity let him grow very tall but also his oxygen saturation is pretty bad so he's got breathing support#fig is a robot who just found out she's a robot like two months ago. she's been assuming everyone's a robot like her and she's been feeling#very betrayed by her mom lying about that part. she's on a body mod spree which is rough bc system-specific parts are expensive#and so is adapting random parts to her system#fabian's still a pirate captain's son. can't say anything that'd be able to get the vibes across clearer than that#adaine went to tech/business school. she put her monthly allowance towards an ecoterrorist group in her academy which turned out to be an o#and she's currently wanted by UTS. more than fabian. which makes him slightly mad#she's also acquired a passion for low-tech weaponry on the way. she likes ice picks and cleavers#I think up all of this for no reason except that once again the idea of all these people being 1/teens and 2/on the same ship to be posties#is hilarious to me. esp. if they were in a forum group chat beforehand

how tall are vasco, machete and ludovica?
Vasco and Machete are more or less the same height, 6 ft / 183 cm. I tend to think that includes Machete's heels so without them he's a few fingerbreadths shorter than Vasco.
Ludovica might be something like 5'4" / 163 cm.
In-universe Ludovica is firmly in the average height zone and Vasco and Machete are slightly taller than average.

The cool, glorious, and definitely not cute leader: Abyss!
original Abyss!sans made by @/metakazkz
Abyss team (1/8)
I saw this guy I knew from middle school and said, "Yes, you. That's what my brain will not shut up about for the next week." Now we're here. Now he's kinda his own thing, a mashup of old and new and some other stuff from myself (and others).
This will be cleaned up when I have the other designs finished :)
Some notes!
His cape appears just like normal cloth, but it is actually just an extension of his magic. He even feels some sensation in it. Because he's not the biggest fan of direct touch he tends to use it more often for physical affection
Tumblr media
The book he has strapped to him is always on him, even as he sleeps. For whatever reason, the title of the book is redacted, and he doesn't tell most people what's in it.

I feel like I have nothing to ask, I simply would love to hear more about them fucked up mermaid and murderer
And I would absolutely love to tell you about them, Tin.
This AU takes place somewhere vaguely in the Pacific Northwest (circa. 1970s-80s) in an isolated fishing town along a storm-wracked coast.
Fisheries in and around the bay have collapsed due to extreme winter weather patterns + overfishing + an oil spill from a tanker run aground down the coast, leaving most of the bay's inhabitants to live pretty much hand-to-mouth off contaminated fish in recent years.
Tumblr media
get ready for LORE (and more drawings but mostly the LORE)
general warning: this is pretty long
The "story" as it were, kicks off when Gem finally gets fed up with another fisherman in the area, Grian, over continued conflict about ownership of fishing grounds in the mouth of the bay.
She orchestrates his death (with the eager assistance of Scott and Impulse) out at sea and passes it off as a tragic accident in the winter swells with her being the unfortunate finder of his remains.
And it works.
See the thing is: Gem has a history of causing disappearances. It started with some accidents with out-of-town poachers. She would chase these people off and one or two would just slip overboard and happen to drown. It wasn’t her fault and besides they deserve it. But things start to escalate from there. Poachers become outsiders become fellow townspeople. Grian is someone Gem’s known for years, whose friends are tangentially her friends or acquaintances. His death is a cold-blooded murder driven by hatred and frustration. This time something is different about what she's done and Gem knows it.
But Gem is a reputable and well-known person. Her prices are fair, she drives poachers out of the bay and maintains order around the pragmatic fishing ground policy that undoubtedly helps everyone to survive.
She is the type of person to look to for guidance when things get difficult because she can make those hard choices. So how on earth could it be her fault?
No one is wiser until Grian's funeral brings an old friend into town who is more than a little suspicious about the circumstances of his death.
Tumblr media
Scar was one of Grian's crewmates when they did trawling much further south. They split when Scar took up (illegal) whaling and Grian moved into the bay.
As an outsider, Scar isn't so swayed by the goodwill the town has around Gem's name. He's no detective but for the sake of an old friend, he might as well try.
Tumblr media
In this AU, mermaids are social mammals part of the Hominidae family that went back into the ocean similar to Cetaceans. They live in matrilineal family groups or in any other female-led organization of pods and have a very "survival-oriented" global culture (with regional variation).
Pearl is a lone mermaid whose pod lived in the bay until they were starved out by the collapsing fisheries. PNW mermaids are more territorial than other ecotypes and value strength over anything else. Pearl's inability (read: unwillingness) to oust other pods for better fishing grounds and the loss of one of her pod members summarily lead the other two to abandon her.
Without a pod to help her, hunting enough in her dwindling territory has been difficult and lonely, leading her to slowly starve just as the humans in the bay have begun to.
She took to trailing fishing boats to steal from their catch, which is how she met Gem who was mid-throwing some unfortunate soul overboard.
They have an interesting relationship.
Gem is enamored with Pearl at the halfway point between a person and a large apex predator. She loves the way Pearl needs her to live and the way Pearl, as a social creature with no pod, craves her attention. It's thrilling to have a predator at her beck and call like this and, in turn, to be so desperately needed. She also loves the way Pearl doesn't look at her like she's dangerous (the way Scott and Impulse have begun to when they think she doesn't see them). Her interest in Pearl seems to be leaching into something more than just wildlife admiration. She's begun to learn the mermaid language just to talk to her. For what? Who really knows. Meanwhile, Pearl is hungry enough to eat just about anything Gem throws her (including human bodies) and desperate enough that she lets Gem get much closer than many humans in this area have ever been to a mermaid. (They even touch, scandalous for mermaids.)
It's skewed for sure. From Gem's perspective, they've got something special going on. From Pearl's... not so much.
This being Secret-Life based, you can imagine how this story ends...
Tumblr media
Bonus piece: Pearl and her old pod.
IN GENERAL, Biological females are generally larger with a set of rotated tusks protruding from their lower jaw for dominance displays. Biological males are commonly smaller and more agile, with more dexterous hands due to decreased adipose tissue distribution over their bodies. (They actually have 3 biological sexes and tons of social gender variation but that's a talk for another time). Pre-cultural awakening, these pods would form around a biological female and their harem for reproductive purposes. That female would then protect the harem from other females looking to "steal them" or their territories (like horses but reverse-style). In modern times, these pods are often composed of groups of friends/related family members as sort of "platonic life partners" and stealing other pod members is seen as a very archaic sort of thing. Territory stealing, however, is still up for grabs.
