A few httyd ocs anyone? For context, I was wondering what an Auxiliary Team on Berserker Island would look like, since only Dagur and Heather have their own dragons there- plus Gustav but he seems to come and go (?)

Anyways enjoy some Berserker Dragon Rider designs! Sorry if some stuff isn't totally historically accurate literally all my viking knowledge is from httyd and Disney's Norway at EPCOT😭

This one takes place in Chapter 8 of Signs of The Skrill - where Bragi is drunk and Dagur is carrying him back to their quarters after a drinking contest with Nosebleed & his crew.

I've had so much inspiration for them in the last couple days unfortunately it's manifested as art and not the next chapter of the fic, but i'm absolutely loving how my sketches are turning out right now.

The star of our upcoming RTTE fic/comic/etc. - my (Daniel's) self insert Sam! (Additional info below the cut, with more coming soon)

Jotun/jötunn is simply the name we're use for "shapeshifters" who are their own species separate from humans. Romantic relationships with humans are common, but they can't have biological kids together. Which isn't a big deal to them, as the majority of the inhabitants of Jotunheim were rescued as children and raised by the village as a whole (Dragons, humans, and Jotun children)

As mentioned above, Sam's soul dragon is a subspecies of the Monstrous Nightmare that we've been calling the Seamare. I applied certain evolutionary traits from sea snakes to the Nightmare, which are as follows: Lives its life entirely underwater (eating, digesting food, laying eggs). Does not have gills, but can draw in oxygen through its skin to stay underwater for several hours, Eats fish and primarily eels, Flatter/wider tip of their tails, Powerful venom causes paralysis (can be injected with a bite, or through the spines on back or tips of wings like a lionfish), can use the breath they are holding to push oxygen out through the pores that secrete their gel which allows them to light themselves on fire underwater for a very limited amount of time. They are still reptiles and can go out of water comfortably, but they prefer to stay in the water.

Sam has the same chronic condition we do, Raynaud's Syndrome in combination with High Blood Pressure. None of the doctor's we've been to can explain why, but when our blood pressure gets high or our right arm gets cold it causes agonizing pain. We also can't use it for long periods or it will hurt for many days afterwards. (which means we can't draw as much as we would like to) This is particularly unfortunate for Sam because that means he can't fly for very long, nor can he carry weight or do repetitive motions with his arm. Throughout his story he's sort of going to suck at being both a Viking AND a dragon. Womp womp.

Other Info:

Snotlout's sister from the books, Adelaide, is being incorporated into a fic my headmate brother Nicolai is writing, and I may add her to this story (Nicolai's version of her is growing on me)

I'd like to make the story into a comic, but the realities of the aforementioned chronic pain make that pretty much impossible. Still, there are scenes that I must draw...someday. I only ask that you be patient with me and us as we create content for the story
