What's your favorite fight in the show?
In RWBY? RWBY vs Ace Ops, no doubt. It's just amazing and it shows how smart team RWBY is and how that gets them the win rather than just going with strength/skill. Like the factors:
The taunting: Harriet and Elm are the clearly the most emotional members of the Ace Ops and very quick to anger, something that Ruby and Yang take into consideration and both of them provoke them with words, which makes the other two act without thinking. “We're the best Huntsmen in Atlas”, “You were, then you trained us” specifically was not only badass but also a genius response from Ruby's part. She then gets to run away and make sure Harriet for sure follows her, driving her away from their teams, which is the smartest move considering she's the only one who could handle Harriet's speed for a while. She then mostly proceeds to stay on the defense rather than straight up fighting her, and lets Harriet tire herself out.
Yang and Blake's team work: The Bees take on the Trees (lmao). At first it doesn't go well, trying to 1v1 and all, but they're both smart enough to see one clear thing: Vine and Elm, rather than working with each other, they keep disagreeing and arguing with each other. So, Blake and Yang decide to do the opposite: work together. 2v1. Take one out first and then the other one. And boy does it work, because the moment Vine is out the other Ace Ops are like "oh, shit" and they realize they're fighting Huntresses, and that they're not playing around. And that sets the tone for the rest of the fight. Then Elm falls hard too lmao.
Weiss VS Marrow: Marrow's semblance is very OP, but it works only on one direction at a time. Which means that the moment they left him against Weiss, the poor guy —who didn't even want to fight and was holding back— was already kind of fucked, because she happened to be the one RWBY member that could fully counteract his semblance with her own. Weiss simply pulled a Freezerburn on her own, creating mist that gave her time to summon (showing how much she'd grown from her fight against Vernal). Then she kept her Arma Gigas and herself and opposite sides. Marrow uses Stay on her? Arma Gigas will attack him. Marrow uses Stay on Arma Gigas? Weiss is free, now she can attack him. She turned the 1v1 into a 2v1, and considering Marrow really didn't wanna fight her or hurt her, it was clear he was going to lose the moment they left him with her.
Weiss and Ruby's team work: Ruby showed up to assist Weiss against Marrow. Instead of choosing to work against them together, Marrow and Harriet argue and disagree with each other, and then Ruby runs and drives Harriet away again in anger. Then, after Weiss has dealt with Marrow, she's the one that shows up to help Ruby again, and kind of takes Harriet out-- well, really, Harriet took herself out, but you know what I mean here. Despite fighting Marrow and Harriet separately (99% on purpose, they were definitely keeping them apart intentionally), Ruby and Weiss were still working together. Harriet and Marrow weren't, because Hare was too blinded by her rage to even consider collaborating with Marrow. Again, the taunting worked.
In any case, genius fight. Team RWBY won not for skills or because they were stronger. They won by using their brains and working together and proved that what they lacked in experience compared to the Ace Ops, they made up for it by being a much better team. That's why it's my fave.

Right on Schedule
Jaune looked over a progress report as he was once again was inspecting the walls of, Mantle's newest fortifications. The time graph they had made was displaying good progress the wall. Displaying that for a week, and a half of work, they were well on schedule, even ahead of it in some areas. But, there was a very noticeable dip in the chart from two days ago. A dip that, Jaune didn't like.
Jaune: Hey, Major Skender?
Major Felix Skender, was an officer in the, Atlas Engineer Corp. Jaune had talked to, Major Skender quite often when he came to inspect the wall. He had come to like the fellow. He was a little quirky, though from, Jaune's experience that tended to me a normal habit of anyone into pyrotechnics. Least, Major Skender seemed to be the saner side of things.
At least he hoped he was.
Maj. Skender: Yes, Sir?
Jaune: It's nice to see how things are coming along. I dare say you might be ahead of schedule.
Maj. Skender: Ahh, thank you, Sir! Yes, we are being encouraged by the higher ups to get this completed as soon as we can. That way we can get back to work on the, CC...?!
Jaune's hand shot up silencing, Major Skender instantly. Jaune, gave the, Major a cautionary gaze as he lowered his hand.
Jaune: We do not address it as that. We address it as, General Ironwood's Project, Ironwood's Secret Project, or anthing along those lines. But, we do not say what it is. It is a secret project after all, Major.
Maj. Skender: Yes, Sir. Sorry, Sir.
Jaune: Good, make sure that the other officers are made aware of this as well. There are many who would take great pleasure in derailing the, General's future plans.
Maj. Skender: Understood, Sir.
Jaune: Now then, about this timetable here... What was this dip here you experience two days ago? You were delayed by about half a day, but you've made up for it. Good job on that, Major.
Maj. Skendor: Oh, thank you, Sir!
Jaune: But, nonetheless; what happened here?
Maj. Skender: Two days ago...? Ahh yes, a bunch of, Happy Huntresses came by, and were disturbing the workers.
Jaune: The, Happy Huntresses? What did they do?
Maj. Skender: They were interrogating some of the workers; They were asking them about what weapons we were installing, how long we were taking. Why did it take so long for, General Ironwood to order the reconstruction, and fortification of the walls. Things such as that.
Jaune: Weren't the people of, Mantle already made aware of these things; Why were they asking what should be seen as common knowledge?
Maj. Skender: I'm sorry, Sir, but I do not know why.
Jaune: Hmmm... Very well then...
Jaune handed back the data slate before giving one last look at the construction upon the wall.
Jaune: I will be taking my leave then. Till later, Major.
Maj. Skender: Till later, Sir.
The Major offered, Jaune a salute who returned one in kind. Jaune then made his way down a flight of stairs. As he made away from the wall he pulled out his scroll, and typed out a simple message to, 'Finch.'
"We need to talk."
Jaune quickly put away his scroll as he walked down the many paths of, Mantle interacting with civilians as he went about. He kept walking until he felt a buzz from his pocket, and he checked his scroll, and read the message that he had been sent.
"Okay. Usual spot?"
"On my way."
Jaune quickly made his way towards the downtown area of, Mantle, heading into one of the many empty warehouses in the southern parts of, Mantle.
As, Jaune entered the warehouse, he was met with the familiar sight of, Robyn Hill resting against one of the many empty crates. She pushed herself off the crate as she walked towards, Jaune. An odd smile spread across her face that, Jaune could not quite place as she walked towards him.
Robyn: Hello, Jaune. What is it?
Jaune: Hello, Robyn. I need to ask you about something that happened a couple a days ago.
Robyn: I suppose you're asking about the incident at the wall that happened the other day?
Robyn crossed her arms, and shook her head. Jaune worried that he may have upset her, but her eyes said she was more so disappointed. Was she disappointed in him for not trusting her? No, no she wasn't disappointed in, Jaune. She was disappointed in herself. Herself, and her followers.
Jaune: What happened?
Robyn: Some of my followers... they saw how quickly the wall was repaired. So, they went to the wall, and wanted to know why, General Ironwood was taking so long to order it's reconstruction if it only took three days to do. Since the, Engineers couldn't explain it, the people got angry, and... well they got rowdy.
Jaune: And, the Engineer's had to keep them back so they didn't get too close to the construction site. Otherwise something could have happen to them. Or, worse, one of them could have gotten hurt.
Robyn: Exactlly.
Jaune: So that's why construction was delayed. Since I didn't hear anything about a mass arrest, I suppose it was dealt with peacefully?
Robyn: Yes, two of my cohorts; Fiona, and another member of the. Happy Huntresses, May Marigold came by, and dispersed them. I told them to make sure things like this didn't happen again.
Jaune: They better. The sections getting the new fortifications will have armed guards around them all the time. While I am certain of the, Atlasian Militaries trigger discipline, I wouldn't hold it past, Ironwood to get... itchy fingers.
Robyn: Do you think, General Ironwood would order his troops to open fire on civilians?!
Jaune waved his hand down, placing one on his lips as he looked at, Robyn. Her voiced echoing in the empty warehouse.
Jaune: Your voice carries, Robyn; In more ways than one.
Robyn: I'm sorry... I just... Do you seriously think, General Ironwood would do that?
Jaune looked at, Robyn before turning to look away shaking his head.
Jaune: I not saying he will, but... If he was pushed far enough...
Robyn: Oh... oh no... No wonder you want me on the council; The more I learn about, General Ironwood, the more I understand why you want someone to put a leash on him.
Jaune: Someone has to, and the only person who could is... preoccupied...
Robyn: Preoccupied with what?
Jaune: Uhhh...? A severe case of identity crisis...
Robyn: Really?
Jaune: More, or less...
Jaune didn't want to lie to, Robyn, he wanted to keep her trust in him. But, knowing about Ozpin, and Oscar was a whole bucket of worms that he didn't want to deal with. And, besides, even if she used her semblance on him, he wasn't lying. Technically.
Robyn: ...
Robyn: Very well. Is that it all you wanted to talk about, Jaune?
Jaune: That's it. Is there anything you want from me, Robyn?
Robyn: Uhh... yes there is.
Jaune: Oh, what is it?
Robyn: I was wondering if you wouldn't mind coming to one of my rallies I'm having today?
Jaune: Oh, why so?
Robyn: Several reasons. You've mostly heard about my political policies, and plans from my supporters.
Jaune: I have.
Robyn: Well, I was wondering if you'd like to hear it from the horses mouth. To know what I think of, and how I plan to help the people of, Mantle, and Atlas.
Jaune: And, to have a, Specialist there to... show their... No, to show, Atlas's support for you?
Robyn stopped, and stared at, Jaune. A coy smile appeared across her lips as she pointed a finger at him.
Robyn: You can say that.
Jaune returned her coy smile with one of his own.
Jaune: If anyone asks, just say I'm there to keep the peace. We'll use the incident at the wall the other day as an example.
Robyn: Alright then. Let's do this.
~~~
Jaune had never been at a political rally before. He thought it would involve a lot of wine sipping, and snobbish wealthy people speaking down to people. If this was a political rally run by someone like, Jacques Schnee it would no doubt be like that. But, no, this was more simple, more relatable. It was nice.
Although, Jaune certainly had something to say about her posters.
; Jaune? Jaune!
Jaune: Hmm? Oh, hello, Casey, fancy seeing you here today.
Casey Roll. One of the mothers he often saw when he was leading kids to school, and often was the one who gave him rather large servings of casseroles to him. While he did miss taking those kids to school, he was tired of all the casseroles...
Casey: Hi, Jaune! I haven't seen you lately, what are you doing here?
Jaune: Oh, I'm just here to make sure things go smoothly. We don't want another incident like we had at the wall the other day.
Casey: Oh, I heard about that. People were upset that, General Ironwood didn't order the repairs of the wall sooner if it was only going to take a matter of days to rebuild it. But, luckily he listened to, Robyn Hill so he decided to rebuild the wall, and fortify it!
Jaune smiled, Casey's enthusiasm was infectious, but even more so at the news that his little rumor was spreading so well. He told, Casey's friends about his little white lie, if she was repeating it, then no doubt others were as well.
Casey: So, even though you're here just watching things, are you enjoying yourself?
Jaune: To a point. I'm just inspecting the 'art' right now.
Casey: You mean the, Robyn's political posters.?
Jaune: Yes. The political posters...
Casey: ...
Casey: You hate it don't you?
Jaune: Oh absolutely. This an absolutely the worse design you can make for a political poster. I mean, give me a marker, and five minutes, and boom! Wanted poster!
Casey: ...
Casey: Oh shit... you could do that... How much?
Jaune: Hmmm...?
Jaune: At least ten thousand lien.
Casey: That's fair.
Jaune: I mean, why doesn't she have a slogan, or anything like that? 'Robyn Hill, The Hope of Mantle.' Something simple like that. At least she could be smiling in the photo. Or, is being dead on the inside a natural expression for people from, Atlas, and Mantle?
Casey: Yes.
Jaune stopped staring at, Robyn's picture to give, Casey a concerned look. But, based upon the expression on, Casey's face that she was giving him, she was in fact: dead serious.
Jaune: ...
Casey: ...
Jaune: Noted...
Casey shrugged her shoulders before she let loose a startled gasp as she darted to the side, Jaune looked over to see, Robyn, and a few of her, Happy Huntresses behind her.
Robyn: Hello, Specialist Arc, it's nice to see, General Ironwood's underlings showing some concern with the common people of, Mantle.
Jaune: Hello, Miss Hill. The concerns of, Mantle are also the concerns of, Atlas. So of course, General Ironwood is concerned about the common people of, Atlas. but, in this case, Miss. Hill I am here to keep the peace. We do not wish for another incident from your followers, like we did at the wall the other day.
Robyn: There wouldn't have been an 'incident' if, General Ironwood had rebuilt the wall once it was broken.
Jaune: So you say.
Casey had back away as, Jaune, and Robyn had begun to verbally spare with one another. As soon as she was out of earshot the conversation changed to something that carried a more casual air to it.
Jaune: Putting up a facade for your darling fans?
Robyn: We may be... allies of sorts, Jaune. But, since you are an, Atlasian Specialist, I do have to put up an air of defiance towards you, and by extension, General Ironwood. I'm glad you caught on so quickly, Jaune.
Jaune: It was simple enough to catch on to. I've seen how you act with my fellow, Specialists. So it was easy enough to play the... polite jerk with you.
Robyn: So you did... Well if you'll excuse me, I must address the people of, Mantle.
Jaune: Best of luck then... 'Councilwoman' Hill.
Jaune's comment may have been taken as a teasing jest from, Jaune. As if saying that she will never get a seat on the council. But, Robyn knew from the small smirk that, Jaune gave her was that she had his full support, and hope for her to get that seat on the council. For the good of, Mantle, and Atlas.
~~~
Robyn: Welcome everyone!
A cheer of zeal, and joy abundance echoed through the auditorium as, Robyn stood on the stage, and walked before her supporters. Jaune spared, Robyn a look as she took the stage before his eyes rested on the crowd, and watched them carefully.
Robyn: As many you have seen, Atlas have begun the reconstruction of the walls of, Mantle!
More cheers echoed as, Robyn celebrated the walls reconstruction with her supporters.
Robyn: I know many of you are happy that the people of, Atlas are supporting the people of, Mantle. That they are not only rebuilding the breach in the wall, but also fortifying it! Adding weapons to protect the people of, Mantle from the, Grimm!
Robyn: I know some of you are angry. That this should have been done years ago, that the walls should have been fortified as they will be the day they were built. Or, the fact that when they start firing those guns, it will be rather loud...
The audience laughed at, Robyn's simple remark. But, after hearing that, Jaune made a mental note in the back of his mind that they better inform people when they started test firing the weapon emplacements. He could think of several reasons why people wouldn't like that.
Robyn: But, the people of, Mantle, and Atlas are one people. We may call ourselves, Mantlites, or Atlasians, but at the end of the day, we are one people. One people who should not be fighting each other, but a common enemy: The Grimm.
Jaune could hear murmurs of agreements as, Robyn said those words. The Grimm were the people of, Mantle, and Atlas true enemy. Not each other. Jaune could agree with that, the Gri...?!
Jaune's mind abandoned his previous train of thoughts on, Robyn's word. Something was here, someone was here. Jaune had seen something. A lanky individual, a brown cloak over their head. Jaune recognized that shape. And, if it was who he thought it was, then things were about to get messy...
Jaune drowned out the world as he slowly weaved his way through the crowd. His mind was solely focused on the individual that was moving closer to the stage. Jaune quickly made his way to cut them off, but was careful to make his sure his presence was unnoticed. But, if it was who he feared it was, he knew their attention solely focused on, Robyn.
And, it was, considering they never saw him coming until his cerulean eyes locked in on his crazed yellow eyes.
Jaune: Hello, Tyrian~!
Tyrian: Wha?!
Jaune pulled out his sword, and sent it flying towards, Tyrian's face. People screamed as they ran out of the way, and started to flee the building. Unfortunately, Tyrian was a slippery bastard as he weaved out of the way of, Crocea Mors pristine white blade.
The crowd started screaming as they ran away. Jaune tapped his hip several times before deploying his shield, and taking a defensive stance at the mad scorpion faunas.
Tyrian: Whoa-hahaha! Well, hello again!
Jaune: I would say it's nice to see you again, but that'd be a lie.
Tyrian: Hahaha! Well it's nice to see you again!
Jaune: I doubt that...
Jaune was stalling for time; Jaune's greatest concern wasn't just, Tyrian, but also the civilians here. But, as he was stalling for time, most of the civilians in the auditorium had managed to escape, the only one that remained was, Robyn. She had sent, Fiona, and May off to help evacuate the civilians. With one extra huntresses, the odds were now on his side. But, nonetheless... the odds are never good when fighting a psychopath.
Tyrian: Well, since you spoiled the fun I bes... Whaa?!
Jaune stabbed forward with his sword hoping to catch, Tyrian off guard, but he managed to dodge out of the way, but, Jaune was more focused on keeping him here, and not letting the slippery bastard from getting away.
Jaune swung his sword in an upward arc, before leveling it it to stab at, Tyrian, before pulling back his blade back, deflecting the mad scorpions bladed gauntlets.
Tyrian jumped back before charging forward, and jumping on, Jaune's shield planning to throw him off balance, and take him down. But, just like many others before him, they all underestimated, Jaune's capabilities.
Jaune felt, Tyrian push on his shield, and cackle on as he readied his stinger to stab at, Jaune only for, Jaune to push his arm forward, and send him flying back. He spun in the air before landing on his feet, he let out a maniacal laugh before it was cut short as, Jaune bashed him in the face with his shield.
Jaune thought he was going to have an easier time dealing with this pyshco since his stinger was cut shot by, Ruby. But, evidently he had gotten a prosthetic tail to replace it. That just made him all the more dangerous.
Robyn: Jaune, duck!
Jaune 's body dropped into a squat before quickly standing back up as an crossbow bolt whizzed above him. Tyrian's bladed gauntlets flew through the air as he started knocking down the various blots, Robyn sent flying at him.
Tyrian leapt over, Jaune, and charged, Robyn. Robyn's crossbow changed into a bladed shield as she started crossing blades with, Tyrian. Jaune realized as he ran up towards the pair that, Tyrian wasn't just randomly here, he was here for a reason. He was here to carry out an assassination, and Robyn was the target.
Jaune: Robyn! He's a scorpion faunas! Watch out for his stinger!
Robyn: Got it!
This was the first time, Jaune got to see, Robyn in a fight, and to put it simply; She fought just like her name sake: Like a bird. Robyn's movement were as smooth, and as majestic as a robin in flight. Her skill with her weapon was as precise as a master violinist's. And she was deadly as a hawk on the hunt. It was mesmerizing to see. Almost.
Jaune's eyes weren't looking at the beauty of, Robyn's fighting style . His eyes were only taking in her passively, his attention was solely focused on, Tyrian. And, he saw something he didn't like.
A dark violet glow enveloped, Tyrian's hand as he reached for, Robyn's side. Jaune saw what a lilac field around, Robyn's side disperse, and make a hole on her side. Jaune suddenly realized something that was very, very dangerous.
That glow around, Tyrian's hand was an active sign of him using his semblance. And, Tyrian's semblance was capable of making holes in people auras! It was the perfect semblance for a, Hunter killer.
Jaune: Robyn! Back away from him!
Robyn, jumped back before, Tyrian could land a fatal blow. Tyrian charged her, but before he could he had to dash back as, Crocea Mors came flying past him. Jaune did see this as a dangerous move; Throwing his primary weapon, and leaving him relatively defenseless. But, Robyn's death was an even worse outcome for the future of, Mantle, and Atlas.
Tyrian laughed as, Jaune's sword flew past him, and he swiftly turned on him, and jumped atop of. Jaune. This action caught, Jaune off guard; Jaune had over extended himself allowing, Tyrian to land on top of him. Luckily, Jaune still had his shield on him, but, Tyrian had him pinned to the ground.
Jaune felt his aura being pulled away by, Tyrian's semblance. Jaune quickly activated his own semblance amping up his aura, trying to cover the breach in his wall, but it was too little, too late.
Jaune: AHHH?!
Jaune felt a searing burning pain as, Tyrian's stinger dug into his shoulder, injecting him with his vile poison.
Robyn: NOOO!
Robyn yelled as she fired bolt, after bolt at, Tyrian. But, Robyn had charged in too close to, Tyrian.
Tyrian effortlessly jumped off of, Jaune's prone body, and tackled, Robyn. Pinning her to the ground as his stinger rose into the air.
Tyrian: Ah-HAHAHA! It's my lucky day! Not only do I get to kill an annoying little, Huntsman! But, also the savior of, Mantle! Ah-HAHAHAHA!!!
Robyn's eyes widened in fear as, Tyrian's stinger hanged above his head, ready to dive down, and kill her. Robyn struggled against, Tyrian, trying to free herself from his grasp, but to no avail.
Tyrian laugh maniacally assured of his victory. But, as, Jaune watched, Tyrion prepare to kill, Robyn, he remembered something, something, Pyrrha had said to him years ago, back when she was training him on the roofs of, Beacon Academy, back when things were a simpler, happier time.
Pyrrha: "Remember, Jaune, landing the final blow is when your opponent is most vulnerable."
As Tyrian Laughed in mad glee at his assured victory, his laughter was suddenly cut short as, Jaune wrapped his hands around his head, and growled into the monsters ear.
Jaune: I'm not buried yet!
"SNAP, KER-CRAK!!!"
The sound of, Tyrian's neck snapping echoed throughout the auditorium like a gun shot. It was deafening in it's brutal energy, and the sound of the dull thud as, Jaune threw, Tyrian's wretched corpse off of, Robyn.
Jaune's breath came out heavily as he stared at, Tyrian's corpse, a maniacal smile still etched across his face. Robyn looked at, Jaune with wide eyes, stunned silent as she looked about her savior.
Jaune: But, you will be, you bastard son of a bitch!
Jaune yelled this out, panting heavily as before his body gave out, and he fell down, landing on the ground with a solid thud.
Robyn: Jaune...? Jaune?!
Robyn shouted his name as she ran over to him, cupping his face in her hands as she checked him over.
Robyn: Oh no, nonononono!
The doors to the auditorium burst open as several members of the, Specialist team came rushing in.
Clover: Jaune we got your message, what hap... Jaune?!
Clover, and Harriet ran over to, Jaune while, Marrow, Vine, and Elm kept the crowd out.
Clover: What the hell happened?!
Robyn: That psycho attacked us! He stabbed, Jaune with his tail!
Harriet: What psy...?! Wait, that's, Tyrian Callows?!
Clover: He stabbed, Jaune with his tail?!
Marrow: Fuck, that means he's been poisoned!
Clover: Call for a medevac!
Vine: On it!
Clover then pushed, Robyn out of the way as he looked down at, Jaune ever growing pale face.
Clover: Jaune! Jaune answer me!
He couldn't answer him, his voice had left him.
Clover: Jaune! Look at me! Look at me!
His couldn't look at him, his vision was getting blurry.
Clover: Jaune stay with me! Stay with me, Jaune!
He couldn't stay, he was leaving them.
Winter: JAUNE?!
His world faded into the darkness.

“We’re the best huntsmen in Atlas.”
I drew the Ace Ops! Definitely the most complicated piece I’ve tried my hand at drawing, not just because there’s five of them, but also because I tried to draw some of their weapons. Marrow’s tail was also so hard to do. Overall though, I’m very happy wit how this piece came out!

I know that in canon, Vine is taller than Elm, but in my heart? No.

Ironwood: *Preparing for a meeting*
Elm: *Over text* Hey boss. We gonna post-pone the meeting by a bit.
Ironwood: What?! This is highly irregular. What is the meaning of this?
Elm: Horizontes Románticos Pasados is having its season 12 finale.
Ironwood: That does not explain a single thing! And why are you telling me this? Where is Specialist Ebi?
Vine: *Joining the text group* Clover is preparing snacks.
Ironwood: Explain yourselves.
Vine: We'll be learning whether or not Rodrigo is actually the father to one of Isabelle's triplet sons.
Ironwood: Triplet- How does that even work?!
Hariet: *Also joining the text group* Hey that rerun episode is starting it's last segment. Hurry up will you, the rookie's getting antsy you lot ain't here yet.
Ironwood: Seriously, what is going on. Will any of you give an actual explaination?!
Hariet: Right. So Rodrigo was with Isabelle for a bit. But she also hooked up with Alberto and Domingo in the meantime.
Vine: Not to mention, that whole business with Alberto inheriting his mom's body farm. Again.
Ironwood: Wha- How is... How does one inherit a body farm again?
Elm: His mom faked her death the previous season. You got to keep up with the plotlines. Sir.
Ironwood: I'm not keeping up with anything. Why do you people enjoy this? We represent Huntsmen everywhere and the might of the Kingdom of Atlas.
Elm: Yeah. We're supersoldier with Aura and Semblances. We just like to relax to normal people living their lives.
Ironwood: None of this conversation has been normal...
Hariet: Final Ad-break guys, five minutes left. We gotta go now. *Left the group chat*
Elm: Oh shoot. On our way. *Left the group chat*
Vine: We'll be there for the meeting after finale's over. *Left the group chat*
Ironwood: ...
Winter: *Entering Ironwood's office, holding her Scroll as she checks something* Apologies, sir.
Ironwood: It's alright, Winter. But it would seem our meeting with Ace-Ops is getting delayed.
Winter: Ah, so they've already informed you.
Ironwood: Informed me of what?
Winter: That I would be on my way to excuse myself?
Ironwood: No. Not at all that. They were rambling about this... this show?
Winter: Horizontes Románticos Pasados, yes. I'm most excited in how this whole body farm issue will be resolved. Madam Corazon's death was most dramatic this time around.
Ironwood: ...
Winter: ... Sir?
Ironwood: *Heaves a deep sigh* What if she faked her death a second time?
Winter: *Shaken to her core* Brothers, that would change everything! *Just leaves, furiously typing on her scroll*
Ironwood: *Sighing again* Well, if I got some time for myself. *Presses a button on his desk*
TV-Screen: *Lower over a wall to the side, music, sights and sounds begin to play* ~There's 104 days of summer vacation / 'Til school comes along just to end it. So the annual problem for our generation / Is finding a good way to spend it~
Ironwood: *Opening a bag of snacks* Oh, what manner of wild inventions will those silly brothers come up with today.

Ask
Werewolf
Ever since getting her ass knotted, is it true that Harriet has stopped acting like there is a stick up her ass? Especially when Jaune is around.
Harriet: "Mornin', Clover."
Clover: *surprised* "Uh, morning, Hare."
Vine: "You seem less tense."
Elm: "Yeah, especially after she had her ass spread opened."
Winter: "CAN WE NOT!?"

The Ace ops are on a joint mission with the Blood Angels to find a missing squadron of Atlas soldiers and other Blood angels sent to clear out the Grimm in an abandoned mine, they discover the dismembered bodies of both groups, they look to see a lone Blood Angel standing in the middle of the cavern, the Chaplain questions his brother on what happened, but he was soon filled with horror as he heard him whisper the name “Horus”.
Where Traitors Tread
"Atlas Outpost Zeta, this is Leading Specialist Ebi, requesting permission to land."
There was no answer. Again. Clover had tried to make contact with the outpost for the past thirty minutes on approach, first en route, second on arrival, and everything else was as they were circling.
"Let's just land this thing, Clove." Harriet groused.
"Patience, Specialist," the red-and-white-armored Chaplain hushed with his hand, "I am certain there is a reason for their silence." He then veered his skulled helm towards Clover. "Of course, one must be diligent to not mistake patience for sloth."
Clover gave a sigh. He was trying to be nice, but there was a limit. "Atlas Outpost Zeta, this is Leading Specialist Ebi. We are landing to refuel and investigate. Please stand-by."
As the bullhead docked on the hangar above, there was no staff to greet the joint operation of Atlas Specialists and Blood Angels. Ironwood's finest and the sons of Sanguinius both felt the chill of the Solitas wastes and hurried into the building below. So far, everything about this mission felt off.
There was no contact from the outpost for the past twenty-four hours, and not even the drones sent ahead were able to make contact on arrival. In fact, the moment they arrived, they became disconnected and went offline. If this was some kind of Grimm, it needed to be investigated and resolved by experienced huntsmen, ergo the Ace Operatives.
This outpost served another purpose as a temporary base for those Blood Angels who needed respite beyond the walls of Mantle. Ties between Remnant and the Imperium had been tense, and not without good reason, thus this measure seemed fitting as a first step towards better relations.
"We'll check the operations room," Clover explained, "see if it's a radio glitch or something that's making it impossible to get a response." The elevator was large enough for the Space Marines and huntsmen to ride in. "I don't know about you, but I'm hoping it's just a glitch."
"A glitch that takes out drones, too?" Elm raised her brow.
"Chaplain..." The apothecary called.
"Yes, Antrit," replied the elder Blood Angel, "I smell it, too."
The doors opened to a horror show. Blood covered every surface as the console, too, bled with sparks and flittering screens. Corpses lay strewn about, both Remnant and Astartes, all covered in ghastly wounds made by either blade or bolter.
"Brothers..." Marrow covered his mouth and nose, trying to keep the offending iron scent from making him retch.
Clover clicked his radio. "Atlas, this is Ace-Op 1, respond." Nothing, not even static replied. "Atlas, Ace Op 1, do you read me?"
"Your radio is useless, Specialist." The Chaplain held out his hand. "It appears our adversary has fashioned an EMP emitter out of the console."
"Damn..."
"Brothers, it is imperative that we locate the perpetrator and subdue them. Failure will only result in more blood spilled than desired. We shall search every level until we have located this killer, be they monster or traitor."
"Ace Ops," Clover spoke up, "what he said."
The four entered the elevator, moving down to the lower levels. Light filtered through the doors as they opened, the flickering bulbs within acting as first warning to the horrors that awaited the joint teams. Each floor told the same story; blood, violence, destruction, and death, all performed with malevolent. A familiar malevolence as well to the Chaplain.
"Lead Specialist," the elder said, "from this moment forward, we shall take point." Before there was any contest, the Blood Angel directed singled out his brother. "Tamenzo, your services as vanguard are needed."
"As you wish, Chaplain." The hulking, red warrior stepped forward, his bolter level with the door. Before they could open, they could hear the unmistakable shouts of another Space Marine beyond. A silence fell over the group, especially among the much smaller specialists as they didn't dare step forward of their Astartes counterparts.
"TRAITOROUS FILTH!" The doors screamed open as armored hands rended the elevator seals apart. "YOU WILL NOT HAVE ME THIS DAY, HERETIC!"
The screaming man shouted from within his blue helm, heedless to the amplification of his voice booming from his vox. The chaplain recognized this man as his company's own devastator, Brother Faustal Archun. Gareus lunged forward, foolishly holstering his bolter before taking hold of his much stronger battle brother's arms, hoping to speak reason to him. Before he could, he was tossed aside as more venom spilled from his assaulter.
"IN THE NAME OF THE EMPEROR, I WILL AVENGE OUR FATHER, HOR-" A shot rang through the otherwise empty room, splintering through Archun's armor and driving him to his knees. Before he could rise, Tamenzo drove his blade through his battle brother's chest. The devastator grasped hold of the sword of his undoing and looked to his killer. "H... Hor..." His arms fell as his dying breath carried his final words. "Horus..."
The air became tense as the crazed battle brother became limp. Sliding his blade free of Archun's chest, Tamenzo approached the Chaplain, sheathing his sword. Wordlessly, the vanguard returned to formation with the rest of the squad. Turning to the two squads, the Chaplain spoke.
"We are returning to Atlas."
"Already?" Specialist Ederne asked. "What about the rest of the base?"
"I am afraid it is lost to us, Specialist." The Chaplain replied. "If there are any survivors, then we will require more than what we currently have."
"What?!" Specialist Bree balked. "I don't know if you've noticed, but we're not just Atlas Specialists; we're the Ace Operatives, as in the best of the best at Atlas!"
"Not to mention what that guy said before he died." Specialist Amin added. "What did he mean by Hor-"
"If you wish to keep your heads, you will cease your retorts and do as I command." The Chaplain said in such a low growl, you'd swear it was some kind of Grimm hiding under that skull helmet. "Unless you have something more to say, Leading Specialist?"
Ebi hummed. "There's definitely something weird going on here, but I don't think ignoring it is going to help anything. How about we split up into two teams? One team will head to the roof and send word back to headquarters. Even if there is a signal jammer, I doubt it can stop a message going out if we fly out just far enough. The rest of us will look for any survivors. Keep your scrolls on and be ready to move."
The Chaplain did not care for this undermining of his authority, but he could also not disregard the opportunity to search for survivors. The two parties then split with the Chaplain, Lead Specialist Ebi, and Specialist Ederne moved to the roof to deliver the message while Specialist Amin and the Blood Angel Scout Ottavio Silat, attempted to remove the signal jammer from the control room. Meanwhile, Specialist Zeki and Bree searched the deeper parts of Atlas Outpost Zeta with Apothecary Leonardo Antrit and Vanguard Gareus Tamenzo.
The Chaplain and the two specialists returned shortly after once their signal to Atlas Headquarters was delivered. Apparently, Amin and Silat managed to remove the jammer. Upon arrival, however, only Specialist Amin was there to greet them, much to the anger of the Chaplain.
"Where is Scout Silat?" He asked.
"He said that he heard something downstairs and he was going to make sure the others are okay."
"And did you hear anything?"
"Well, I-I didn't, but-"
"But what?" The Chaplain nearly snarled.
"W-Well," he gulped, "you guys are already so much bigger and stronger than us, I didn't think it'd-"
"You didn't think?! This failing of your faculties will only serve to hasten your end, you belligerent-"
"Chaplain!" The elder space marine turned to see Ebi's scowl. "Yelling at Marrow like that isn't going to help anyone. Let's just head down and-"
Explosive rounds thundered from below. The Chaplain moved away from the Specialists and made his way to the stairs. The trio moved to join him, only to be halted by his extended palm. Without looking to his companions, he gave his orders.
"I will descend alone. Those were bolter shells that were fired. Your assistance would only worsen the odds of your survival. Remain here while I retrieve our comrades and investigate."
Without another word, the Chaplain moved his way down the stairs, his hulking mass doing little to hide his presence, though such things mattered little when the lives of both his battle brothers and their companions were in danger. His words to Specialist Amin were not first spoken to the Faunus, but also to the Chaplain when he'd first joined the company of his father's sons. When he was made the spiritual leader of the Sons of Sanguinius, he made a personal oath to ensure none strayed from the path he now walked with his brothers.
Every step brought him deeper into the darkness. Each step brought him closer to saving his brothers. He could do little more than hope as he kept one hand firmly wrapped around his staff and the other tightly squeezing his pistol. He could do little more than hope that his brothers could be saved from this blight.
He'd heard tales of the Black Rage afflicting his brothers, and each story only made his title as Chaplain all the more important. If he had his way, if he were to perish, it would be at the hands of a dying enemy of the Imperium, protecting the innocent that his father fought and died to save from the clawed fingers of Chaos. Better a gruesome death for a noble cause than to be brought to your knees by your own battle brother, either of you if not both driven mad by the psychic backlash from your father's demise. He clenched his eyes for a moment, but only for a moment, using his blindness to hone in on any sign of Scout Ottavio Silat.
He'd hand-picked this squad, Silat included, hoping to reinforce a sense of camaraderie between the ranks of both the Blood Angels and the Atlas military. Accompanying would be the "newbie" Marrow Amin, and Chaplain Sepharan Asbesco had agreed with Leading Specialist Clover Ebi that both could learn from each other as they embarked on their first joint operation. Vanguard Gareus Tamenzo held a competitive spirit poorly kindled with an eagerness to prove oneself that was all too familiar in Specialist Harriet Bree. Such excitement could be tempered under the watchful visage of one more experienced, such as Destroyer Faustal Archun and Specialist Elm Ederne could provide. Should anyone come to harm, as is to be expected in this extremely hazardous occupation, an apothecary and combat medic would be there to mend faster what the body could not alone, such to be done by the deft and dextrous hands of Apothecary Leonardo Antrit and Specialist Vine Zeki.
Five Blood Angels for five Atlesian Specialists, with one dead brother under his skull-helmed aegis. If this were some sick, twisted competition like the other legions played, then he would be on the losing side. But there was no side to be had here, save for the living and the dead. The galaxy is much different than it was ten thousand years ago. So different, and yet still very much alike.
"Chaplain Asbesco," a voice beckoned from his vox, providing evidence that Specialist Amin was able to remove the jamming device, "this is Brother Apothecary Antrit hailing Chaplain Asbesco."
"You have hailed and you have been heard, Brother Apothecary." The Chaplain replied. "Report status."
"Multiple casualties, Chaplain, both human and Astartes." His tone turned sour for a moment. "As well as the mutation regarded as 'Faunus'."
"Save your prejudice for another time, Brother Apothecary. Who among the Astartes are slain? Are they of our own party?"
"Negative, Chaplain." The Chaplain gave a silent sigh of relief. "They seem to have been dead before our arrival, likely around the time communications were severed. The wounds, however, align with what was seen with Brother Archun."
"Report location." The Chaplain continued, remaining vigilant of the flickering light of the darkness.
"I am on the lower-level designate B-3," the Chaplain noted his position on level B-2, just one floor above the Brother Apothecary's answer, "and I am here with-"
The vox became silent. "Brother Antrit?" The Chaplain hailed. "Brother Antrit?" Fear opened the gates of haste as the rib-plated space marine hurried down the step and into the dark. Activating his armor lights, he was greeted by a charging Blood Angel, his helm removed to reveal Vanguard Gareus Tamenzo.
Blade met staff as brother battled brother in the dark. The Chaplain held the advantage of night vision, which he used after shoving his brother away to leave him in darkness as his lights dimmed to nothing. Tamenzo roared as he swung wildly in the shadows.
"Traitor!" He barked. "You hide in the shadows like the daemons you consort with, Horus!"
Another brother fallen to the rage. Another brother too many. The Chaplain steadied his bolter and fired through the dark to bring the light to his fellow son of Sanguinius. Regrettably, his aim struck true and the mad barkings of the Black Rage fell to silence.
"Forgive me, Brother." The Chaplain said, approaching his fallen vanguard. "You deserved a warrior's death, an end fit for one such as our father."
"Chaplain." Looking up, he saw two space marines standing in front of him. One in white and red armor. The other looming behind in black armor, and a blazing orange eye in the center. The elder clenched his eyes shut and blinked. Looking once more, it was Apothecary Antrit with Specialists Bree and Zeki standing behind him. "Chaplain Asbescos?"
"Brother Apothecary." The Chaplain stood, heaving a sigh. "Forgive my belated reply."
"There is nothing to forgive, Chaplain, for no sin has been committed." The four looked down to the headless remains of their former vanguard. "Or no sin against I, Chaplain."
"Have you gathered the gene-seed of the fallen?"
"Save Brother Tamenzo, yes." He gave a nod. "Though I fear this madness has made the gatherings difficult, as our brothers met a woefully efficient end."
The Chaplain gave a hum in understanding. One did not become a chaplain without understanding the deeper meaning of those with greater tact than themselves. In their madness, the Black Rage ensured the Blood Angels would destroy themselves in the war of attrition by rendering one's gene-seed beyond salvation, be they Blood Angel or other Astartes mistaken for the great traitor.
"What the hell are you guys talking about?!" Specialist Bree barked. "We've got a lot of dead guys here, but you're talking about plants at a time like this?!"
"Bree," Specialist Zeki spoke in place of the ever ired Chaplain, "perhaps we cannot understand because we are not meant to understand." He looked to the Chaplain. "What would you have us do?"
"Return to the roof and rendezvous with Leading Specialist Ebi. We must evacuate and make a full report to our respective superiors." The trio gave salutes, the aquila from Apothecary Antrit and an unarmed hand salute from the specialists. The Chaplain watched them as they left, words left to be shared. "Apothecary. Specialists." They stopped and turned towards him. "Have any of you seen Brother Scout Silat?"
"Negative." The Apothecary replied. "The only other Astartes we've seen are dead or yourself. Brother Antrit was not among the casualties."
"Then I have deeper to go." The Chaplain replied. "I will travel to the lower levels as you ascend. If I have not returned within the hour, evacuate to Atlas headquarters."
The Apothecary was silent but gave a nod. The Chaplain stood and watched as the three climbed higher while the darkness beckoned below. A terrible thought crept into his mind; one of treachery of the lowest kind, with his Brother Apothecary abusing his greater strength to easily slaughter the specialists they had been assigned to. He gave a long exhale, putting his faith into his brother before descending, forgoing his lamplight and choosing instead to opt for night-vision. Better to maintain the element of surprise when uncertain of who is your ally.
The levels below, ending at sub-level designate "B-5", were free of all but blood and echoes of violence. A shadow moved in the corner, and the Chaplain's eyes were deceived as it proved to be nothing more than a rat that had managed to escape the rampaging Blood Angels. That such a scavenging vermin could evade what more intelligent beings could not was almost enough to make the Chaplain laugh in morbid fascination. However, the time now was not for mirth, but caution.
"This is Chaplain Asbesco of the Blood Angels," he spoke into his vox, "I am returning to the roof. Respond."
"I hear you, Sanguinius." Bile filled the Chaplain's throat as the venom spilled into his ears. His hearts thundered against his ceramite plates as his vision blurred so horribly, he could barely stand. He stumbled to his knee, bolter clattering across the floor. "You've lost your pistol, Brother..."
"You are no brother of mine, Horus!" The words screamed through his mind, like a fiery brand to the center of his skull. In an instant, his staff had been forgotten and replaced by a sword. "I will have your head by the end of this day for what you have done, traitor!"
"ENOUGH!" The Chaplain roared, attempting to silence the echoes of his father's demise. He began a mantra, one he had been taught by his predecessor Chaplain. "My father is dead, but I still live. My father is dead, but I still live."
His heart seemed to calm and the blinding vision of the final days of the Heresy had been replaced with darkness illuminated by a green tint. Sweat poured from the Chaplain's brow, but he felt calm. At peace with his return from the nightmare.
A return accompanied by a roaring Astartes. The Chaplain spun in time to find his Brother Scout charging with revving chainsword and blinding fire in his eyes. The Chaplain rolled away, finding his bolter in his previously empty hand. He fired at his Brother Scout, hoping to grant him the same mercy gifted unto Brother Vanguard Tamenzo, but Silat was too swift on his feet.
"I will have your head by the end of this day, traitor!"
"Reclaim yourself, Ottavio!" The Chaplain called futilely. "You are not our father! I am not Horus! We are Blood Angels! We are brothers!"
"You are no brother of mine!" The chainsword roared in agreement as Silat charged the Chaplain, teeth finding only air and cement to chew. More bolter shells were fired, only to find the same diet as its melee counterpart in its foe's hands. "HORUS!"
Looking around, the Chaplain found other holes and gashes delivered by bolter and blade, those these ones were from before this fight. It seems Brother Silat had been driven mad and began striking at shadows in the dark, mistaking them for the great traitor. If he had not collected himself, would Asbesco share his brother's fate here? Were their father here, he would surely weep to see his sons warring here, where no light can be found, gone and astray from the path of light he'd fought and died for his own father's Imperium of Man.
"HOR-AGH!" Silat found himself blinded in one eye, a stray bullet blinding him of all to his left. Or that's what Asbesco thought until he saw the line glittering in the darkness from the distant light.
"Need any help, Chappy~?" The voice called from the dark. One familiarly upbeat yet commanding. Leading Specialist Ebi had found his way down here, into the dark. "Looks like I caught a big one~!"
"Damn you and your trickery, Horus!" Silat barked, slicing through the line with his chainsword, knocking the specialist off his feet. The Blood Angel Scout charged up the stairs, towards the smaller Atlesian. "Your daemons cannot save you now!"
Clover covered his head, unable to escape the uncomparable speed and roar of the Space Marine and his chainsword. Suddenly, there was a booming thunder, followed shortly by the dying sputter of a small engine. Looking up, he saw the Space Marine laying dead with his head split asunder by a bolter round, and another behind him with a skull-helmet as terrifying as the Grimm Reaper.
"Please," Asbesco held out his hand, "refrain from calling me such names as 'Chappy'."
The walk into the light from the depths was quiet, save for the echoing clatter of Blood Angel boots against the concrete steps. Once on the roof, Leading Specialist Ebi and Chaplain Asbesco met with their teams. Or rather, Specialist Ebi's team and what was left of the Blood Angels. And even here, in the light and the wind, he could still hear him. The traitor.
"Apothecary Antrit."
"Yes, Chaplain?"
"Do you hear that?"
He was quiet. "I'm afraid I'm not certain what you're referring to."
"Then I'm afraid I am also lost." Removing his helmet, Sepharan Asbesco looked to his brother and hefted a heavy sigh. He'd grown tired in this short time, and it was time for him to rest and surrender his fight. "When you return to headquarters, tell them to retrieve me for the Tower."
Leonardo Antrit was stunned. "The Tower?! But Chaplain, that's-"
"Too kind of a mercy, I'm aware." He hefted another sigh, placing his hand on his brother's shoulder. "I am afraid this will be our last meeting, Brother. Have you any final words of advice for me?"
Once more, the Antrit was silent. Then he smiled. "I would refrain from consuming the snow. It does little to hydrate you and only increases your risk of infection."
"Thank you, Apothecary."
"It is my duty, my honor, and my joy, Chaplain." He smiled once more. "Have you any final words of advice for me?"
"I believe my actions will speak greater than any words could suffice."
With a nod, the two parted ways. The Chap- The former chaplain watched his brother board the bullhead and leave with the confused specialists. Looking down from the rooftop, he found beasts of black fur and bone armor and red eyes glaring from below. He looked to his staff, noted the amount of shells left in his bolter, and then leapt into fray.
And in the distance, leading these creatures of Grimm, was the Arch-Traitor himself.

...Honestly?
I like the Ace Ops more than I probably should.
I can partially pin it on how distinct they all are from each other, in retrospect.
Tumblr media
Say what you will about who they were in the story, but I can't deny that I'm unable to mix any of them up. Despite the way they end up being presented in the last fourth of V7 and then V8 by some degree, I'm all for how homey they all feel, if that makes sense.
I dunno, the "we aren't friends" thing never stuck to me for whatever reason, and I see them as such anyway. Fuck the script, these guys are the homies fr.
If I really had any complaints, it's for broader strokes like my grievances for V7's finale/V8 and Clover's unremarkable weapon....and also Clover's arms in show, but I made a post about that already.
Elm having a huge heart, Marrow being a dork, Harriet being abrasive but still encouraging, Vine being the calmest one in any given situation, & Clover being the genuine image of a charismatic boy-scoutish leader of them all just works and I love them SO MUCH.
...I'm aware that two of them are big dead, but that's not gonna stop me from loving them all. If the story allowed them to be around/exist prior to V7, I would've loved to see more of how they are on and off the job.
These mfs just got it to me.

Friends AU:
It's been 6 months since jaune join the ace ops and ironwood has been giving jaune more responsibility after seeing the work his done and even gaining the trust of the poeple
His even been opening up to winter and she's happy to see jaune smile
Wait, What Happened?
Jaune's finger ran across his breastplate, he remember distinctly where precisely, Tryian had stabbed him with his stinger, and yet he couldn't find so much as a scratch on his armour from his stinger.
: Looking for something, Jaune?
Jaune looked over to see, Winter walking across the locker room towards him.
Jaune: Hello, Winter. I'm just checking my armour.
Winter walked over, and stood next to, Jaune running her hand along his chest piece feeling the smooth mental under her gloved fingers.
Jaune: I'm impressed; Atlas's armour's are quite skilled. If it wasn't for the fact that it was me who got stabbed, I dare say I was never stabbed in the first place.
Jaune finished speaking as he put on his armour, and fastened its straps. After, Jaune checked the snugness of his armour, he grabbed a small black box, and pulled out a silver falcon badge, and placed it on his left coat collar. Winter watched as, Jaune put the badge on, eyeing it with extreme suspicion.
Winter: What... What is that?
Jaune: Hmm, oh this?
Jaune turned to look at, Winter as he pointed to the silver falcon badge.
Winter: Yes, that...!
Jaune: Yeah, I got this from, Robyn Hill.
Winter: Robyn Hill gave you that...?
Jaune: Yeah.
Winter: And, why did she give you this... thing...?
Jaune: Uhh...? It's a token of affection...
Winter: A token of what now...?
Jaune: I-It was a thank you! I saved her from, Tyrian, she gave me this as a gift!
Winter: Then why are you calling it a, 'token of affection...?!"
Jaune: W-W-Well, I'm a knight... a k-knight in shining white armour, and I saved the maiden from a monster... S-so she gave me this badge as a 'token of affection!'
Winter: So, you two were just playing on your knightly stereotype...?
Winter was walking ever closer to, Jaune leading to be place his back against the locker as her ice cold gaze stared him down.
Jaune: Y-Yes...?
Winter gave him a look before grabbing his sash, and tightening it, Before using it to pull him closer to her.
Winter: Then this is my token of affection. That I gave to my knight. Remember that!
Jaune: O-O-Okay!
Winter: Good... I'll see you in the meeting room, Jaune.
Jaune: O-Okay...
Winter then let go of, Jaune and started walking away, a noticeable sway in her hips as she left. Jaune slowly slide down the locker doors until his butt slumped on the ground as he exhaled a deep breath as he calmed his nerves.
Jaune: Bloody hell...
: Well, that was something?
Jaune: What?
: Who knew that, Winter could be so jealous. But, for you, Jaune, I can understand why~!
Jaune: Ohhh... shut it, Pyrrha...
Pyrrha: Ah-hahaha~!
~~~
Ironwood: Ahh, Specialist Arc. Glad you could make it.
Jaune: Sorry, I'm late, Sir.
Ironwood: It's alright, Mr. Arc. It makes sense that you are a little groggy since it hasn't even been a day since you were in the hospital.
Yang: Wait, Jaune was in the hospital?
Ruby: What was he in for?
Ironwood: Honestly, Mr. Arc, I'm tempted to order you to some, R and R. The last reports I read did said that you're still fighting off the last of the poison in your body.
Nora: Jaune was poisoned?!
Blake: How did that happen?!
Jaune: Only if you do the same, Sir.
Ironwood: That's not happening.
A small chortle of laughter echoed through the meeting hall, but it stopped as, General Ironwood started the briefing.
Ironwood: Now then, two days ago we were alerted to the fact that, Tyrian Callows was in, Mantle...
The presentation started, showing a photo of, Tyrian's insane expression,
Qrow: Ugh, not that deranged fucker...
Ren: This isn't going to be good.
Ironwood: Luckily, thanks to, Specialist Arc's recent actions, we will not need to worry about him causing any chaos.
The next photo of the presentation displayed a photo showing another picture of, Tyrian his mouth, and eyes closed, and a purple ring ran along his neck as it was bent at an odd angle.
Qrow: He's dead?!
Ruby: Jaune killed him?!
Weiss: The hell...?!
Ironwood: And, because of, Specialist Arc actions we've were able to acquire several useful items of information's...
The presentation changed to show a photo, and a diagnostic of, Tyrian's prosthetic tail.
Nora: He got a new tail?
Ruby: Well yeah, he had too after I cut it off.
Nora: Oh yeah, I forgot about that.
Weiss: You did what?!
Ironwood: Thanks to the efforts of the, Atlas Corp of Engineers as well as help from, Dr. Polendina we were able to find a... stylistic signature.
Nora: What's that?
Penny: A set of distinctive stylistic choices, be they patterns, methods, or overall designs that renders someone work identifiable from a glance.
Nora: Wha?
Ironwood: This 'signature' was identified to be from someone we thought dead. This man here...
The slide turned to show a photo of a lanky, scarecrow of a man in a white lab coat.
Ironwood: This man is, Arthur Watts, we assumed he died ten years ago in a lab explosion. Since we never found the body, we can now assume that he faked his death. Now, Arthur Watts is highly skilled with cybernetics, and biomechanics. He is not a skilled fighter, but he makes up with his skills in computers. So, while you are out in the field, keep an eye out for, Watts. Watts, and anyone else you may see with him. Any questions?
Several hands among the, Specialist rose up, Ironwood nodded his head in silent pride of his, Specialist incitive to ask questions about their missions.
Ironwood: Clover?
Clover: Since we've identified this man, and we know his specialties, what countermeasures are we implementing to counter him?
Ironwood: We've been beefing up the cybersecurity, and fire walls around, Atlas to prevent him from exploiting our systems.
Jaune: Are you also upgrading the cybersecurity for, Mantle, Sir?
Ironwood: Yes, after the implantations of the fortifications are done, we need to beef up the severally unreliable security systems in, Mantle.
Jaune: Good. May, I ask another question, Sir?
Ironwood: Of course.
Jaune: During the, Fall, the, Atlas's Knights turned on us. Do you think that this, Arthur Watts fellow had anything to do with that?
Ironwood: Hmmm... That is a good question... It is likely theory that it was him who hacked our, Knights during the, Fall. I best order that the, Knight be given an upgrade as well. Excellent observation, Specialist Arc.
Jaune: Thank you, Sir.
Harriet: Wait, if this man hacked, and hijacked our, Knights... Then what's the chance of him doing the same to, Penny? I mean... she may look human, but she is an android.
Silence enveloped the room as everyone turned to look at, Penny as she nervous looked about. Ruby took her hand as she tried to reassure her friend at the sudden realization that she could be hack, and turned to attack her friends.
Ironwood: Hmm... Penny?
Penny: Y-Y-Yes, Sir?
Ironwood: Call your father, I wish to have a meeting with him at his lab, and I will require your presence as well for this meeting. We have... much to discuss about.
Penny: Yes, Sir...
Ironwood: Now, then... Specialist Arc?
Jaune: Yes, Sir?
Ironwood: Based on the fact, Tyrian tried to attack, Robyn Hill, it is evident she has become a target. I want you to go down to, Mantle, and inform her of the situation. Since you saved her from, Tyrian she will no doubt trust you.
Yang: Wait, Jaune saved, Robyn Hill?
Nora: When did that happen?!
Penny: The same day he killed, Tyrian Tallows.
Weiss: When did that happen?
Penny: Three days ago.
RWBYNR: What?!
Nora: Did you know this, Penny?
Penny: Yes, I was there when we extracted, Tyrian's dead body.
Ruby: Why didn't you tell us any of this?!
Penny: ...
Penny: Error...
RWBYNR: WHAT?!
The Specialists, as well as, General Ironwood all stared at the members of, Team RWBY as well as, Penny, Nora, and Ren. waiting for them to stop their impromptu conversation.
Ruby: Eh-hehe... Sorry...
The group finished staring at them before returning to face, General Ironwood, and his presentation.
Jaune: Understood. How much information am I allowed to share with her, Sir?
Ironwood: Only what she needs to know, Specialist.
Jaune: Understood.
Ironwood: Now then, go down to, Mantle, and inform her of what is happening.
Jaune: Yes, Sir! Permission to leave, Sir?
Ironwood: Permission granted.
Jaune got up, and grabbed, Crocea Mors, attaching it to his waist as he made to leave, but was stopped as, Winter made an impromptu request.
Winter: Sir! Permission to accompany, Specialist Arc.
Ironwood: Denied.
Winter: May I ask why, Sir?
Ironwood: You are needed here for information about, Tyrian's prosthetic tail.
Winter: But, shouldn't, Specialist Arc be accompanied by his fellow, Specialist's? After all, it hasn't been a day yet since he was discharged from the hospital.
Ironwood: No, Specialist Arc, has proved himself more than capable of handling himself with, Tyrian; He should be fine.
Winter: But, shouldn't he have someone with him when it comes to dealing with that bitch...?! I mean, Robyn Hill?
Vine: Did she just call, Robyn Hill a, 'bitch?'
Elm: I-Is she jealous...?
Harriet: Wait, does that mean, Winter likes...?!
Clover: Oh, he's totally going to have to explain that to me later.
Marrow: Wait... what's going on?
Ironwood: No, your reputation as my second, and as, Jacques Schnee's daughter will no doubt sour her willingness to discuss anything with you present.
Winter: Shit!
Ironwood: You're dismissed, Mr. Arc.
Jaune: Uhh... Yes, Sir.
Winter soon took her seat, her arms crossed as she silently grumbled to herself. But, as she grumbled to herself, Harriet leaned over to ask her the important question that was on everyone's mind.
Harriet: So... You, and Jaune~?
Winter: Fuck off!
Harriet: Okay?!
All the while this was happening, Weiss was a few rows behind her sister losing her mind at the sudden realization.
Weiss: Winter... likes, Jaune?!
Yang: Looks like he did steal your sister away...
Weiss: What the fuck?!
Ruby: Guys the meetings over, we need to ask, Jaune what happened before he leaves!
Yang: Oh, shit you're right!
Nora: Let's go! He's got a lot of questions to answer us!
Weiss: Many questions!
~~~
Ruby: Jaune wait!
Jaune was walking towards the landing pads, and was about to reach one of the bullheads when his named was called out from behind him. When he turned around he saw seven individuals he wasn't looking forward to see. A tired sigh escaped his lips, as he stood before them with his hand resting on his swords pommel.
Jaune: Can I help you?
Ruby: You were in the hospital?!
Blake: You killed, Tyrian?!
Ren: They said you were poisoned, were you poisoned because of, Tyrian's stinger?
Nora: Why didn't you tell us any of this?!
Weiss: Did you fuck my sister?!
Jaune was going to answer their string of questions, but was stopped when, Weiss asked her very deliberate, 'important' question. In fact, her question derailed everyone's train of thought. They all shared a stare at, Weiss who looked back at them all in indignation.
Weiss: What?
Jaune just shook his head, before answering everyone's question, deciding to answer, Weiss's first. She looked like she was about to blow a gasket if he didn't answer her first.
Jaune: Okay, Weiss... Winter, and I... Well... we're not in a relationship... there is something there... but... we're... yeah...
Yang: You have no idea what's going on between the two of you, do you?
Jaune: I have as much as an idea as, Winter does. I mean, I like her, she likes me... She kissed me when I was in the hospital. Other than...?!
Weiss: YOU KISSED HER?!
A flash of steel flew through the air as, Weiss drew her rapier, and pointed it at, Jaune's face. He stared at the tip of the blade, resting mere inches from his face. Jaune watched as, Weiss, was being restrained by, Yang, and Ruby. While, Jaune just nonchalantly pushed the blade away from his face with his finger.
Jaune: Weiss, if you want to know anything about this... situation, then ask, Winter. I'm still not sure what to do with her, and... yeah...
Weiss: Fine... but, if I heard you did anything to my sister, I will gut you like a fish!
Jaune: Noted...
Weiss then sheathed her blade, but was still staring daggers at, Jaune.
Jaune: Haa... Okay...
Jaune: I went to the walls of, Mantle to check on the progress of the fortifications. I learned that members of the, Happy Huntresses caused a small disruption at the wall. I learned about a rally that, Robyn Hill was holding, so I went down to ask her what happened.
Jaune: It turns out that only a few of her followers went down to the wall, they were simply demanding why it was taking so long, Luckily members of the, Happy Huntresses dispersed the crowds. After, Robyn Hill explained this to me, I decided to stick around so nothing happened. Good thing that I did...
Jaune: While I was watching the crowd at the rally I noticed a suspicious individual making their way to the stage. I moved to cut them off, and low, and behold it's, Tyrian.
Jaune: So, we fought, I was mostly stalling for time for help to arrive, and to buy time for the civilians to get out. Robyn stayed behind to help me fight, Tyrian. I learned that, Robyn was, Tyrian's target, so to make sure he didn't kill her I threw my sword at him. This left me exposed, and then he jumped me, stabbed my in the shoulder with his shoulder. He then pinned, Robyn down, and was about to kill her. When I then got up, and snapped his neck, killing him. Then fainted, no doubt from a combination of, Tyrian's poison, and an adrenaline rush. Then I woke up in the hospital a day later. Annnnd, that's it.
As, Jaune finished speaking everyone stopped, and stared at, Jaune in stunned amazement. Several of them, Yang, and Blake wanted to call bullshit, but since had, Tyrian's dead body in a morgue somewhere, it was pretty difficult to deny it.
Yang: Okay... that's a lot to take in...
Ren: All of that happened in a day... half a day at that?!
Jaune: A little less than that, but yeah, pretty much.
Blake: You got stabbed by, Tyrian's stinger, and got poisoned?
Jaune: Yeah, his prosthetic stinger was strong enough to pierce my armour. Not to mention his semblance made a hole in my aura to pierce through it. So, I got poisoned. Least I killed, Tyrian, and saved, Robyn Hill.
Nora: Jaune... W-Why didn't you tell us any of this happened?
Jaune could hear the sorrow, and the pain upon, Nora's face. He looked at her, and gave a tired sigh. But, as he thought of his answer, an interesting question came to mind.
Jaune: I was in a coma for over a day, and when I woke up I was going through medical tests to check for poison in my veins. But, if you want to be upset with anyone for not telling you I was in the hospital, they you should ask her, and ask why she didn't tell anyone I was in the hospital.
Jaune looked past, Nora, and looked towards, Penny who walked back in shock.
Penny: M-Me? Why me?
Jaune: You were there when the, Specialists took me to the hospital, and you were there with me, and General Ironwood when I was giving him a debriefing at the hospital. Why didn't you tell them anything about happened?
Penny: Well I...?
Jaune: Now that I think about it... You've been asked multiple times to contact, and find me, and you didn't, couldn't. You were supposed to invite people to my birthday, but you didn't invited anyone. You forgot about me during the game of hide 'an go seek. And, you've lost my contact data several times when you wanted to talk to me. Penny, do you hate me?
Penny: No, I don't hate you. Hiccup!
Everyone froze as they all turned to look at, Penny as a stunning realization slowly came in.
Yang: She hiccupped...?
Weiss: She's lying, why is she lying...?
Jaune: Do you hate me, Penny?
Penny: No, I'm don't. Hiccup!
Jaune: What did I do to make you hate me, Penny?
Penny: Nothing. I don't... Hiccup! I don't hate you. Hiccup!
Jaune: You know hiccupping is your tell, Penny. We all know you're lying. Why are you lying?
Penny: I'm not! Hiccup!
Jaune felt like, Penny was hiding something, not from him, no she was hiding something from herself. And, whatever it was involved him, but how was the question.
Jaune: You're not angry at me for something I did?
Penny: No, no I'm not!
Nora: She didn't hiccup?
Ren: But, why is she hiccupping?
Jaune: You're not angry at me for something I did... Then... Are angry at me because of something someone else did to you?
Penny: No. Hiccup!
Ruby: Why is she angry at him for something someone else did to her?
Yang: Good question...
Jaune: You're angry at me because of something someone else did to you. Yet, you're taking out your anger on me, and not the other person. You're using me as a proxy because you can't let that person know that you hate them...
Penny: N-No I'm not! Hiccup!
Jaune: Not because you don't want them to know you hate them, but because you can't hate them because... because they're dead...
A silence hung in the air as the realization struck them. Penny didn't hate, Jaune because it was, Jaune. She hated him because he was close to someone who hurt, Penny, and Jaune was the only person she could hurt in retribution.
But, this hate had been shoved away by, Penny's subconscious mind. Deep away that she could no longer remember what, or who it was she hated. But, the memory was not shoved deep enough that she didn't remember the raw emotions of this hate. No, she remembered the pain, the sorrow, and her hatred of the one who wronged her.
As, Jaune's mind struggled to put the pieces together he came to a sudden, and startling realization. The fact that there was only one person who had wrong, Penny, and was close to, Jaune that she could direct her hatred towards him.
Jaune: Pyrrha... You're angry at me, because, Pyrrha, my partner, killed you. And, because she's is dead, you cannot direct that hatred towards her, so you've been subconsciously directing it towards me. So, the reason you've been forgetting about me... Is because you've been substituting me for, Pyrrha, and you don't remember that you hate, Pyrrha. So you forget me?
Jaune smiled as he came to this stunning realization. It was a mad, and an absolutely bonkers idea. But, the worst part about, Jaune's mad theory was that it made sense, too much sense. And, they all knew that it was exactly what, Penny was subconsciously thinking when she started hiccupping like a storm.
Penny: That's not...! Hiccup! That's...! Hiccup! I don't...! Hiccup! Pyrrha, didn't...! Hiccup! I-I-I-I...! Hiccup! Hiccup! Hiccup!
Ruby: Penny? Penny, Penny, Penny!
Ruby, and Weiss rushed forward and, caught, Penny she was stumbling about in a fit of hiccups.
Weiss: She's having a panic attack!
Jaune: Ren, use your semblance!
Ren: On it!
Ren reached over, and placed his hand on, Penny's shoulder as a black wave flooded over, Penny as he breathing calmed down, and became more steadied. As they were all watching these things, Jaune gave them a look before walking back to the bullhead.
Ruby: J-Jaune?! Where are you going?
Jaune: I'm sorry, but I have a job to do. I don't have the time, or the training to deal with, Penny's hidden trauma. And, since I seem to be part of the cause of her trauma, I think it'd be for the best that I leave.
Jaune walked onto the bullhead and grabbed the handle bars on top.
Jaune: I'll leave this... situation to you. Till later then.
As the bullhead started to lift away, Jaune spared one last glance at the group as they all comforted their friend. Jaune couldn't help but feel envious that they showed such compassion to their friend.
But, it anger him, because they never showed such compassion to him. Never.
~~~
Jaune was walking down the auditorium as civilians walked around resetting things, some stopped him, and thanks them for saving them, Jaune just told them to thinking nothing of it, he was just doing his job.
But, as, Jaune moved closer, he looked up, and saw, Robyn, and some of her fellow, Happy Huntresses upon the stage. When, Robyn saw him, a wide smile erupted across her face as she came down to greet him.
Robyn: Jaune! You're here!
Jaune: Miss Hill, It is a pleasure to see you are doing well.
Jaune held out his hand as, Robyn came closer to him. Robyn looked at his hand for a moment before remembering to adopt her mask as, Ironwood's political enemy, thus, Specialist Jaune Arc's enemy.
A small smile still spread across her face as she shook, Jaune's hand before adopting a neutral mask once more.
Robyn: It is a pleasure to see you as well, Specialist Arc. How are you doing? I heard you were in the hospital for a while dealing with that scorpion faunas's poison.
Robyn knew fully well what happened to him at the hospital. She went there, and kissed... Checked up on him! No doubt this was just all a political game for the audience to enjoy.
Jaune: Luckily I was able to get to the hospital quickly, and was administered antivenom. I was unconscious for about a day as my body fought it, but bar being a little groggy I am fine. I'm on light duty while I fight threw the last of the poison.
Robyn: I see...
Jaune: Tell me, Miss Hill, how are you doing? Dealing with a near death experience from a psychotic faunas who wanted you dead because your platform wasn't pro-faunas enough must have been pretty straining.
Robyn quirked an eye brow at, Jaune's statement. She quickly caught on to the story he was trying to spread so the citizens present could better understand why, Robyn was attacked by, Tyrian Callows.
Robyn: Ahh yes... Well, you try, and give people something to make their lives easier, yet they still want the world...
Jaune: Did you expect someone like the late, Jacques Schnee to be happy with a just one slice of the cake?
Robyn: No he wouldn't. The greedy bastard would want the whole bakery.
The duo of a politician, and a Specialist as well as several of the people surrounding them shared a laugh. There are many things that divided the people of, Atlas, and Mantle, but shitting on, Jacques Schnee was something that would unite them all.
Jaune: Now then, I need to have a word with you, Miss Hill. It has to do with your recent attack. Alone.
Robyn: Very well. Will you come with me?
Jaune: Lead the way, Miss Hill.
~~~
Robyn, had taken, Jaune on a walk to the head quarters of the, Happy Huntresses. Wasn't much of a place really, just a abandoned warehouse with beddings, and what not put into it to make it live able.
Jaune: And, this is your 'secret base?' It's nice... A little spartan for my liking.
Robyn: You don't like it?
Jaune: Nope. It's has about as much life, and personality as your wanted posters do.
Robyn: Wanted posters? HAS, General Ironwood made wanted posters for...?
Jaune: Your political posters.
Robyn: My campaign posters? What are you...?
Robyn turned to look at one of her campaign posters. She gazed at the strong, and proud visage as it presented in her in a...
Robyn: Oh shit... It does look like a wanted poster...
Robyn's body slumped over as she realized the blunder she had just made. Jaune walked by her, patting her should in a comforting gesture.
Jaune: Don't worry, you're worth at least, ten thousand lien.
Robyn: T-Ten thousand?! I'm at least worth fifteen thousand!
Jaune: Yeah, keep dreaming big, Robyn. Keep dreaming.
Robyn: Ass...
Jaune: Haha.
Jaune then walked past, Robyn as he rubbed his head with his hand letting loose a tired, and pained groan.
Robyn: Are you okay?
Robyn walked over to, Jaune, and place her hand on his shoulder.
Jaune: I'm fine... just a little dizzy. Poison is still being purged from my system.
Jaune shook his head as a deep breath left his lungs.
Jaune: Okay, let's get down to business...
Jaune: Your would be assassin, as I mentioned before, his name was, Tyrian Callows. He was sent here to kill you in order to destabilize the relationship between, Atlas, and Mantle.
Robyn: I suppose that line about me not being pro-faunas enough for his liking was for the common folk?
Jaune: A lie yes, but a believable one nonetheless. The White Fang may have been weakened in the rest of, Remnant, but based on the reports I've read there is still a sizeable force here in, Mantle.
Robyn: Really? I thought after what happened at, Beacon, and at Haven Academy they would have been disbanded.
Jaune: Technically they did, that is if you can call a rebranding a disbanding.
Robyn: They rebranded?
Jaune: Yep, the Atlas faction of the, White Fang is now calling themselves the, Ice Fangs.
Robyn: Ice Fang? Not a bad name...
Jaune: Better than the 'Happy Huntresses.' Who came up with that dumb name?
Robyn: Hey!
Robyn lightly punched, Jaune's arm as he laughed at her expense. The smile on her face was radiant as she laughed with him. But, her smile slowly fell as serious face crossed her face.
Robyn: Will he be the last, or the first among many that seeks to take my life?
Jaune: ...
Jaune: It's hard to tell... They might come after you again, so I suggest you keep your guard up. But, they might not come after you; General Ironwood is their main target, there's no doubt about that. Tyrian may have just been exploring, Mantle, learned that you were holding a rally, and that you happened to be there. You could have just been nothing more than a target of opportunity.
Robyn: That's somewhat comforting...
Robyn: You promise you'll save me, from these... shadows in the dark?
Jaune: I swore that I would, Robyn. Arc's don't break their word.
Robyn walked over to, Jaune and gently grabbed his collar as she looked at him.
Robyn: You know... It really is nice to have a knight in shinning armour watching over me...
As she was playing with his collar, she noticed he was wearing the badge she gave him.
Robyn: You're wearing the badge I gave you! It's crooked, may I...?
Jaune: Go ahead. I just put it on today. I think it got moved around when, Winter interrogated me about it.
Robyn froze as she was readjusting the badge.
Robyn: She did what...?
Jaune: Yeah, she saw it, and I explained it how I got it, and why I called it a token of affection, she lost it when I said that...
Robyn: Lost it...?
Jaune: Yeah. She gave me this sash when I join the, Specialist as a present. Then after she learned about the badge you gave me being a token of affection, me being a knight and all of that. She decided that this sash was her token of affection, to her knight. It was really scary actually...
Robyn: A token of affection...? Winter's token of affection... for you...?
Jaune: Yeah... her token of affection for her knight. That's what she said.
Robyn: 'Her' knight...? Jaune...?
Jaune: Y-Yes, Robyn...?
Jaune felt a chill run up his spine, a chill that only intensified as she stared at him with those cool lilac eyes of hers. She gripped the collars of his coat in her hands as she gave him a cold smile.
Robyn: Jaune~! Please tell me what your relationship with, Winter Schnee is~?
Jaune: S-S-She's my superior officer! Nothing more!
Robyn: It's red!
Jaune: What?! You're using your semblance on me, not cool, Robyn!
Robyn: Tell me the truth, Jaune!
Jaune: Okay okay okay! I have a crush on her, she somehow has a crush on me of all people! She's given me a token of affection! That's it!
Robyn: Its red again!
Jaune: Okay, okay! We've kissed, that's it!
Robyn: When did you two kiss?!
Jaune: At the hospital! B-Before you kissed me!
Robyn: What?! She kissed you before me, dammit! Alright then, Jaune... you tell, Specialist Winter Schnee this! We are at war!
Jaune: War? What are you talking abou... MMPH?!
Robyn pulled, Jaune in by the collar for a hungry, and thirsty kiss. As the kiss ended, she bit his lips, dragging her teeth across his lips as she pulled away, as she let out a deep, hungry gasp of air, as she stared at him with hearts in her eyes.
Robyn: We're at war, for you~!
Jaune: F-F-For me...?!
Robyn: For you~!
Jaune: Uh oh...
~~~
Jaune entered the locker room for the, Specialist. He hadn't done much today, mostly talking with people, but good gods he felt exhausted.
As he entered the room, he saw, Winter at her locker. She turned, and smile when she heard him enter.
Jaune: Hey, Winter.
Winter: Oh, hello... Jaune...?
Jaune: Something wrong, Winter?
Winter walked over to, Jaune grabbing his cheeks as she looked at his face.
Winter: Is that lipstick on your face?
Jaune: Oh shit! I forgot to... Ahhh?!
Winter fiercely grabbed, Jaune by his collar, a common theme of the day so it seemed.
Winter: Who kissed you?!
Considering this was the third time he had been roughly grabbed by his collars by a feisty. Huntress, Jaune decided it was best to just answer her, less he gets killed, but a jealous woman.
Jaune: Robyn, Robyn Hill did it! S-She likes me, just like you do!
Winter: SHE WHAT?!
Jaune: A-And, she kissed me as her declaration of war to you!
Winter: A declaration of war? For what?
Jaune: M-Me...
Winter: Okay... then the next time you see her, Jaune, tell her this!
Jaune: Tell her wha... MPHH?!
For the second time today, Jaune had been pulled in by the collar for a fierce kiss. Instead of teeth biting his lips, Jaune felt, Winter's tongue invade his mouth leaving a trail of saliva as she broke the kiss.
Winter: I accept~!
Winter lightly tapped his cheeks as she left, leaving a stunned, and very confused, Jaune behind. He panted heavily as he whipped his lips clean of the make up, and saliva from, Winter's tongue. With nothing but, one thought upon his mind.
Jaune: ...
Jaune: Well, I'm fucked...
AceOps Recolor inspired by Winter’s Vol 3 outfit:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Always loved Winter’s OG outfit and I think using it as the basis for the rest of the Atlesian military would look great without dipping too closely into Weiss’ pallette. Have a great day!!!!
Love Winter’s OG outfit too- and I deeply wished the Ace Ops didn’t take Winter/Weiss’ color schemes but instead did their own thing like you did with the colors.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ace Operatives.
So I said it before but I don’t really like the Ace Op uniforms, only because it doesn’t give them a lot of personality. It’s like the Happy Huntresses!
Tumblr media
Their uniforms are so alike that the different colors just tells me what their favorite colors are rather than how they’re like aka their personalities. The Ace Ops wearing matching colors but especially green ties them more together! Even to Clover as well as it can symbolize them having Good Luck on them/their side.
Tumblr media
White, Red, and Blue are Weiss and Winter’s colors, would’ve been neat if the Ace Ops wore White, Green, and Blue instead so people like me can stop comparing their color schemes too often.
Overall, you made the Ace Ops more unique even when they’re in uniform, and all you had to do was play around with colors! RT- well… whoever RWBY belongs to in the creative direction, need to take notes. A simple recolor can do WONDERS!
Okay, jumping on the Voices AU Train
Can Jaune see Clover and Vine hanging around Qrow, Harriet, Elm, and Marrow? :3
Yup! Tortuga, too
He tells them, of course, once he gets over the initial shock of “Vine is dead holy crap Vine is dead.” Also who is this turtle Faunus following them around? What do you mean he’s their teammate??
Jaune’s a little slow on the uptake, bless him
Harriet is, of course, beside herself. She’s still not used to this “emotions” thing. Now that she knows Tortuga is there, she can’t stop apologizing for saying he was replaceable. He understands she was just grieving badly, he’s been by her side the whole time after all
Elm asks Jaune to tell her where Vine is so she can hit him upside the head. It doesn’t work, of course, but Clover is more than happy to do it for her. It’s been months, but he’s still pissed at Vine for doing that
Marrow just hugs Jaune and thanks him for bringing his teammates back. Jaune tries to tell him that that’s NOT at all how it works, but Marrow isn’t hearing it
