I seem to lean to summer as well! Liminal Bird-Dogs starts in August :) it likely will go into September too! Summer is my favourite season to write in.

RROF is a three-season long story, starting in January and ending sometime in the summer.

SABH is centred around students who have to be in school for it to work, so it’s set in the early spring.

I haven’t decided on the timeline of my fantasy wip, but I also haven’t decided how the months and seasons will work, so…

Do you have a favorite time of year to set your stories in?

Something about summer storms and the wet season as always felt so right for Saints of Storm and Sorrow. Thinking about shifting it just seems wrong.

I cannot focus on one project for more than a month :,) I’m so all over the place with my wips. I was focusing on SABH but last night in my journalism class we had a guest speaker and she was so inspirational for my detectives screenplay! So now I’ve switched gears again and am working on that.

This is an excellent question my friend 👀 here are some of my OCs from Liminal Bird-Dogs (green), Safe As Burning Houses (blue), and my unnamed fantasy wip (pink) that does not have actual cars:

Important question for writers: Is your character a good driver? I don't care if they don't know what a car is, this is a spiritual thing.

Doesn't respect the rules/good driver=illegal street racer

Respects the rules/good driver=uses their turn signal but could drift a car if needed

Doesn't respect the rules/bad driver=so many speeding tickets, uses both feet to drive, eyes never on the road

Respects the rules/bad driver=cries every time they have to get on the interstate, terrible reaction time
