NYC is known for a lot of "new and shiny" stuff but my walking route takes me past several old ships and I love them. I love walking onto the piers and being right in front of oldass wooden sailing ships. One of these days I hope to actually board them and look around. Some are used as restaurants, many are museums, all are DOPE
They're usually empty in the winter, but this time last year a grizzled dude on the coast guard cutter made fun of me for putting a winter coat on a bernedoodle.

Happy Art Monday!
This month, I'm working on a special piece, and even though there's not much to see for now, I'm excited to share the raw vector line-art as a work in progress. The drawing features a variety of ships, each with unique sails, representing different parts of the world.
I wish I could draw more boats and sails, but my canvas is already 3000x10000 pixels, and I don't want my computer to burst into flames! 😨
Some of these boats will eventually become stickers on my Ko-fi shop, so stay tuned for more updates!
Software used: Clip Studio Paint

There’s been a LOT happening in my neck of the woods as far as life updates go, some things ever so wonderful, some things requiring substantial perseverance. So art and updates have been, and will continue to be, a bit slow-going as “it all gets figured out™️” for now.
Which means I’m all the more excited to share new finished projects with y’all!
Last summer, I had the honor of having this piece exhibited in a group show in Hartlepool, UK, during the Northern Illustration Festival, which thematically coincided with the Tall Ships Races event, for where Hartlepool was a participating destination! It was very exciting and surreal to be apart of these events in even such a small way (internationally! 😵), and was quite inspired by the other artists’ work I got to share the space with.
This piece will be available to order as prints later this week (I’ll throw the bat signal up when it’s ready!).
MAKE SAIL!
12 x 16 inches
Drawn and Painted digitally
As always, thanks for tuning in y’all. Stay safe, and be kind out there. ✍️✌️
