Do you think Shadow and Kuukou could get along

i originally had a response talking about hearts, trying to compare how similar sonic and amy’s are which is why shadow and kuukou would get along in that a capacity that shadow would allow (kinda similar to sonic and shadow’s relationship)

but i think it would be really fun to imagine shadow on a mission of some sort that gets crashed by kuukou bc he wanted to do some activity and thought shadow was the best fit for it and kuukou just tags along, helping him out with the mission so that way when it’s over, shadow can’t escape and kuukou can drag him off to that thing he wanted to do lol

Primal Fears AU content but don’t worry it’s still sonadow

That last one is a repost from last year so if you saw the silly drawings but then read the thing in the bottom left corner and went “wait what the fuck”

It’s because it was an AU thing but I literally only had that drawn out and now you get some context at least:

In this universe Sonic is an assassin/bounty hunter/whatever you wanna call a guy that is hired to specifically to kill other Entities. He meets Shadow when they run into each other because they’re both following the same Avatar. Then they do the normal canon sonadow thing where the first interaction they have always ends with them fighting and beating the shit out of each other. And then they kinda calm down but then Shadow has a similar moment from the beginning of the IDW Sonic comics where he gets absolutely pissed that Sonic managed to distract him from catching the bad guy and zooms away before the two have another chance to speak again.

Here Shadow is a GUN field agent except in this universe GUN isn’t really military and it’s more focused on not only investigating (like the Magnus Institute) but also actively dealing with the Entities. Which sounds great except remember how I said they aren’t military well actually they kinda are because “dealing” with Entities and Avatars just means: throw it in the high-security prison that is guarded by other various Avarars that all work for GUN because it means they don’t have to get thrown in prison. So GUN is kinda like The Magnus Institute + Section 31 working together. So actually I guess it’s like the SCP Foundation.

One day Shadow goes into work and Sonic and there and I’m not really sure on what I’m gonna do in the plot to make him end up there (like maybe he’s undercover and just using GUN to get to his next target or maybe GUN does the “hey we’re gonna throw you in jail if you don’t agree to work for us” idk again not sure yet) but now he’s working with Shadow because they still need to catch that Avatar.

So now we’re sorta caught up, they’re at Club Rouge (and I realized I didn’t specify which Entity she serves in my drawing of her but people who guessed the Stranger ding ding ding here have some sonadow) because Sonic and Shadow need to kinda interrogate Surge and Amy, who are associated with the Slaughter. They have a band called Poison Rose and it’s basically just Grifter’s Bone but they perform rock music instead. And are also probably dating.

Anyway the Big Case™️ Sonic and Shadow are working on is investigating a bunch of spooky murders and they’re pretty sure whoever’s behind them is a Slaughter avatar. But not specifically Amy and Surge☝️ They’re kinda “allowed” to perform the Music That Makes You Die because GUN also has like an “informant” group of avatars they can rely on. These avatars don’t work for GUN, but they agree to chill out on the spooky stuff if it means they don’t get arrested for spooky crimes. So for Poison Rose, “chilling out” on the spooky stuff means that they have to force people to wear earplugs while they perform, which wasn’t specifically stated in MAG 42 if that works or not, not really sure of the magic rules of the Music That Makes You Die phenomena but yeah they gotta do that and probably some other stuff so GUN doesn’t arrest them. Like maybe no swearing or something lol.

Okay gonna stop there before this gets even longer explaining my AU because this was supposed to be just a normal sketch post but whoops.

Oh also I made a playlist for the kind of music Poison Rose performs but it was made private because I didn’t want anyone to stumble across it and be like “pshhhh this dumb person who makes public playlists of their AU that no one knows about what a loser” (me when I make up completely unrealistic scenarios in my head) but now here’s a post explaining that part of my AU so that person can’t make fun of me anymore

It was a basic day for you; you didn’t have work today and there wasn’t much to do. Though, your partner, Shadow the Hedgehog, was off doing his own thing.

He was probably with Team Dark or racing with Sonic. Or shopping with Amy.

…Actually, you were banking more on the first one.

While you were in the middle of watching Cutthroat Kitchen, you heard the sound of Shadow warping back into the house, causing you to pause your show.

“Hey Shads! Welcome back,” you say, turning around on the couch, away from the TV.

…Only to immediately turn back around.

“I- didn’t realize your gloves were off, sorry,” you mutter.

“…And why is that a big deal?” Shadow asks.

“Well, um- Mobians typically only take off their gloves around the people they deeply trust,” you explain. “And partners, of course.”

“Considering you’re my partner and I trust you, I don’t think it matters if I have my gloves off,” Shadow says.

“You’re…allowing me to see your hands?” you ask.

Shadow steps in front of you, holding out his hands, palm side up.

“Only if I get to see yours as well,” he states.

You immediately take off your gloves and hold his hands by the back, admiring them.

His hands are more like, well, human hands, but he has paw beans and noticeable claws.

Each of his beans are the same color as his hand, except for the big one in the middle, which is pink, and the one on his middle finger, which is red due to his arm stripe reaching up to his middle finger.

“Shadow. Your paw beans are adorable,” you tell him.

“Thank you?” he says.

You kiss the tip of his middle finger, causing his face to tint green slightly, before turning his hands over, now holding his palms.

On the back of his left hand is his symbol, while on the back of his right hand is a different marking. His stripe goes around the back of his hand to make a red-outlined rectangle, the inside of the rectangle reading in red letters, “P.S. 02.”

“P.S. 02?” you question.

“Project Shadow, the second attempt,” Shadow mutters.

“Oh,” you mutter. “Sorry for prying.”

“It’s okay,” he says. “You were just curious.”

You pull his right hand up to your lips and give it a kiss as well, causing the green blush on Shadow’s face to become deeper.

You were starting to wish he would take his gloves off more often with how cute he was.

“Your hands are…much different than I thought they’d be,” Shadow says, holding yours up. “They’re more…paw-like.”

“Is that a compliment?” you ask.

“It is,” Shadow says. “They fit you.”

“Aw, you’re so sweet to me, moonlight,” you tell him.

“Not as sweet as you are to me, sunshine,” Shadow replies with a small smile.

You give him a kiss on the cheek.

You couldn’t be happier to have him in your life.

• His limbs are all stretchy not that hard tough crispy cookie kind of texture. He has that those dough cookie (that are edible) and how it makes him that stretchy. His easily to melt and well freeze, but though freezing him is what makes him an actually tough cookie but yknow not crispy. Just hard cookie texture. If a sharp object inject or stab, it felt nothing to him or makes this hole in his dough to avoid it. Pretty much OP if his dealing with a beast cookie. His flexible and stretchy ofc. But it doesn't mean his that OP, of course he can crumbled someways.

• If his actually facing his counter part (Shadow Milk Cookie) he will absolutely destroy him legit. He really does not like Shadow Milk Cookie. For a reason (which is unknown for now). And if any case scenario if Shadow milk Cookie attempts to raid Caprice's kingdom (mostly your kingdom that Caprice is currently living in) Then of course, easy one on one battle for Caprice and Shadow Milk Cookie.

● His weapon is a hammer, yknow like Amy rose. But the handle part of the hammer is this flimsy like not stiff how it can bend. And it's Hella huge compare to Shadow Milk Cookie's tiny staff of his.

□ Tbh The black dots on his hair sorta fits him, lady bug like with those two piece of hair he has as the antennas lol. Even there was this concept that his beast form is either a Ladybug or a..firebug? And it was supposed to be. .like this protection kind of symbol how his basically protecting the kingdom (which is yours) but he I remember his not a beast, his a special type of cookie so sadly scrap that idea.

□ Another scrap is that he can clone himself, how his so stretchy and able to heal himself. He can just grab a chunk of himself of his dough and using his own magic to clone himself a mini version of him. Or even a clone of him of the same size as him. But I scrap that idea how I'm not sure about that idea.

☆His class was either a assassin or magic (idk lol I sorta forget that I didn't play cookie run kingdom for weeks almost a month since I sorta lose interest playing it.)

♡ by his stretchy dough limb, he would absolutely help you whenever your in cramp schedule. Just stretch here or there to grab and give it to you.

♡ His pupils can change shape and show his energy, like If his pupil were have to his low batter typa display in his heart eye that would mean his low in energy and pretty much being lazy or tired. His only energy is by love and just fuels that energy from you. And he gets hyper from being overwhelmed by love from you. And he doesn't really require to eat (I think?) But if you do make meals or bake, I guess he will try to eat it, but it doesn't make him feel different like feeling full or feeling hungry. His built different for real

• Doesn't like Shadow Milk Cookie. Would throw him in the river

• The swirls are his blushing or embarrassed display, Rather then hue spread in a cookie's face. Just swirls appear and glows if his blushing, embarrassing or flattered.

• The amount of love letter he has for you. Just..tons... he just likes to write, or writing fanfics of you and him xdd also his allergic to flowers. So no flowers, if you don't like flowers then it's good for him since his allergic to any kind of flowers.

♤ Why does he has a love letter on his eye? From what I mention that the witch who created this cookies to life has a little young sister. And when making the creation of Caprice, she accidently knock out a love letter that is a decoration icing for cakes. And yeah.

♤ I forgot also why his head has a cracked part but must've been permanent from his backstory, reference how gems (Steven Universe) having to have a bad experience that cause that part of their body permanently. And it displays there forever.

□ Speaking of Love Letter in his eye, there is a concept of him losing his right eye. For...bad reasons. Or part of the story that I decided to not add it. That I go with the idea that is above this text.

♧ Fact that he can curl himself into a ball or well shape into an armadillo by using his hair. 👍

Justice For Amy Rose

My first long character analysis that isn't about Sonic and is very controversial. Let’s see how this ramble pile goes!

If you want to see a better structured analysis I’ll recommend this video. I’m basically saying the same stuff but with added-on clarifications.

No one has to agree with me but keep in mind I didn't grow up with this franchise, so my opinions are all over the place. A good thing is you don't have to worry about any biases from me. Now, onto my loveable pink hegie!

Amy is misunderstood to be written as this one note girl who’s only character trait is to love Sonic. People usually say she’s now strong, confident, a leader, capable, and is her own character and I agree. But she’s always had those good traits. Was Amy always well written? No! Do I think it could be a sign of her being inconsistent? Absolutely! Here’s just a few examples of her best moments in the past.

Sonic X’s best moments were whenever Amy genuinely wanted to help people or stand up for them. The episode where Amy gives Sonic a bracelet to make him feel protected is incredibly thoughtful. There were also times she led the group even though she wasn't supposed to. It's a flaw, not many people talk about, but it’s a part of her. It’s also a trait that is most shown in Sonic Boom and Prime. (From what little we saw of it) Also Team Rose exists, so she's always been a leader.

-In the Japanese version of the show Amy has a whole life goal that has nothing to do with Sonic. She wanted to own a restaurant someday.

Sonic Adventure has good moments too. Her reason for wanting to be with Sonic isn’t because “She wants to see his handsome face” but because she’s bored out of her mind. Then Amy helps a little Flikey despite the fact she would’ve been safer by not doing that. Amy’s interactions with Gamma impacted the robot to the point of him sacrificing himself to free a Bird he needed to stay alive. This shows how much dedication Amy has to doing the right thing even when she doesn't have to. To top it off she got what she wanted in the end. A not-so-boring day.

In Sonic Adventure 2 she jokes around about marrying Sonic and acts like she won’t tell him about Shadow but does it anyway. Then she breaks him out too. Can’t forget about her moment with Shadow. With her positivity and most emotionally mature moment. Amy basically saved the world by doing that. I know some say “Anyone else could’ve done that,” but everyone else was occupied and Amy had the most patience (mind you she’s been left behind constantly in this game lol) to have a talk with Shadow. No one else had the time (and debatably wouldn’t have took the time) to talk with him.

That one moment in Sonic Heroes wasn’t Amy’s best moment, but I don’t think it’s horrible for two reasons. One, Sonic doesn’t take her seriously (same as SA2) and tells her this.

Yeah, Sonic figured Amy was trying to annoy him. Two, she made sure to continue the search to find Chocola and Froggy and stayed with her team until they were found. Even when Amy wasn’t written the best, she stayed true to herself in some fashion.

Anyway, back to Amy’s other moments.

In Sonic 06 Amy quickly bonds with Silver until he turns against Sonic. The moment she says “If I had to choose between the world and Sonic, I would choose Sonic” was never meant to mean she loves one more than the other. It’s meant to be a sign of how much Amy trusted her friend. And don’t worry Sonic Adventure shows her standing up for Gamma in front of the main person she’d usually trust. Sonic is not immune to her protective nature. She’ll go against him if it means making the right choice. Amy’s devoted to Sonic, but she’s not a blind follower. Heck, she’s even encouraging towards Elise and wishes her luck on finding Sonic. Despite not knowing Elise was looking for him. Amy is the definition of encouragement and I wish people could learn to appreciate her moments of being a kind and honorable person for those she cares about.

Did I forget to mention she saved the world AGAIN by not letting Silver kill Sonic which caused him to question Mephiles?

-I really love how Amy is so friendly to most characters. She is just as energetic when she talks to Birdie, Shadow, Elise, Silver, and anyone she meets as she is when Sonic’s around. The girl’s a total extrovert. It could also explain her alleged abandonment issues. It definitely explains why she’s so pushy. Even the prospect of being alone makes her worried and there are so many examples of this it’s crazy!

Almost every moment in Unleashed is Amy’s best moment. In my opinion, she’s written the best in that game. Amy apologizes when she thinks Sonic in his Werehog form was someone else. She doesn't even call him “ugly” or anything like that. Amy just leaves him be. Her compassion knows no bounds. She encourages Professor Pickles when he’s worried about the destruction of the earth and compliments Sonic at the same time. Amy even gives Sonic encouragement when he’s insecure about being a “monster.” Proving her love for him is (and never was) disingenuous or about a perception of him. Amy loves Sonic for Sonic. She even states this in her first appearance in IDW. This trait clearly wasn't made up on the spot.

By the way, has anyone noticed how much of a symbol of hope Amy is? Sonic IS truly an inspiration to her. Even Sonic Forces got that part of her character right.

Okay, so that was most of her good moments. Now what? Oh, yeah. Amy is not a stalker. She doesn’t constantly follow Sonic around when he’s not looking or something. That or calling her a “fan girl” implies she’s some random girl who likes Sonic.

Amy is and has always been friends with him. It’s also why she’s always so excited to see him. She even says “Long time no see” in Adventure. It’s a common saying for a reason. It shows how little these characters see each other and proves they mostly live independent lives.

Both Amy and Tails have followed Sonic in the old games too. Tails also finds Sonic all the time. You don’t hear anyone calling Tails a stalker. In Sonic X they and their friends all stay in the same house. This proves she’s not a stalker there either. Even if not always shown very well in the past, Sonic and Amy are best friends. I DO think the writers could’ve made their friendship clearer by having Sonic not act as uncomfortable around her, but that’s my opinion.

-Do you notice how in Boom, IDW, and other versions of Amy people commonly like are from material where Team Sonic includes her and treats her like she’s a part of the team? Instead of stories like in Sonic Riders Amy has to find Team Sonic or Sonic Heroes where she makes her own group. Or any monument in the past where she’s either left behind or has to say “I’m coming too” and joins her friends anyway despite being left. I don’t think her friends meant any harm (and it probably wasn’t the writer's intention) but how the characters, especially Sonic treated Amy seems to affect how the audience at the time thought of her.

Another reason I don't think the writers wanted people to hate Amy is that usually, Sonic is blunt. He’s not the “I’ll just spare your feelings” type. Sonic is an upfront and honest character. He’d call Amy out assertively if he needed to.

While I won’t say Amy was written perfectly, I’ll chalk it up to her being written like a child. You know, how some little kids are always honest about how they feel? Like the moment in Sonic Battle when she’s talking about raising Emerald with Sonic. Kids play pretend all the time. I’m not excusing her moments of threatening Cream or any other questionable moments like in Sonic Rush. Sonic Freeriders is the biggest example and by far her worst appearance.

I will defend Sonic Riders. Sonic launched Amy into the sky with Eggman. Sonic isn't perfect either. Her anger wasn’t agreeable but justifiable.

-Also all Sonic characters have bad characterizations. A huge example is Shadow, but we don't define him by those moments. Amy should be no different.

Amy is meant to be exaggerated and cartoony. You know, like when Sonic and Knuckles fight or clash with each other. Same for Shadow too. They always fight, but it’s how their dynamics work. It’s never made to be taken seriously.

All of this was to say, Amy is a great yet flawed character. But I want people to know she’s always been a kindhearted, girly, silly, selfless, adventurous, loyal, and fun character people praise her for in Boom, IDW, and Frontiers. I wouldn’t say she’s “gotten better” because that implies she was never good to begin with. I see it more as the writing became easier for people to understand. The constant hate from the past has truly tarnished her reputation even today. To the point where her best moments are ignored.

Even though her love for Sonic is the cartoony and genuine part of her personality, it’s not the only part. No, Amy doesn't have to be romantic but other female Sonic characters exist for that reason. Amy is also a wonderful representation of a strong and confident character who is traditionally feminine at the same time. A good example is her being a literal comfort character because she comforts and protects everyone she comes across. She'll kick your butt for messing with her friends then help you with your emotional issues afterward. She'd make a great therapist.

My favorite examples of Amy's characterization are Unleashed, TMOSTH, and the IDW Sonic Riders Arc. Those are the main examples of how she used to be commonly written. It’s just the little things you’ve gotta pay attention to. Thanks for reading my less-than-organized rambling. Again, you don't have to agree with me, but I enjoy chatting with you lovelies. Hope I at least gave a coherent answer as to why people always loved Amy Rose!

Sonic X Shadow Takeover Analyzer (Part 2)

I was so excited to hear this Takeover since it is only Sonic and Shadow talking to each other and answering question. It is one of those times where you get to see their dynamic without anyone else's input.

Since I feel like I could write an essay about these two, I decided to instead put all my thoughts into bullet points, this being Part 2 of my list:

Obligatory ''Shadow likes Latinas'' joke.

I love how Sonic sees their rivalry as a friendly competition, even describing it as being two sides of the same coin and pushing each other to be better. Shadow points out how he fights because he has a purpose and he will fight Sonic if their ideals clash. Sonic isn't buying it, though. He really wants to make it clear that his presence is important to Shadow and he wants to hear that from Shadow himself. Shadow finally agrees, with Sonic sounding so proud of himself.

Addendum: Considering how the cutscene battle in Sonic X Shadow Generations went, Shadow definitely can't resist fighting Sonic to best him, regardless of his own goals. Their rivalry gives him purpose.

''GO OFF KING!!'' Sonic, what?! X3

Shadow goes on a rant about Super Monkey Ball, with Sonic immediately trying to apologize for the whole thing. It's hilarious!

''THOSE MONKEYS NEED TO PUT ON SOME PANTS!!'' Shadow, you don't even wear pants.

I love how when Sonic and Shadow talk about Jet, Sonic immediately turns the question to be about their rivalry, pointing out how their little competition is why Shadow keeps Sonic around. Shadow just groans in exasperation, but we all know Sonic's telling the truth.

Black Doom really has an obsession with Radical Highway. I suppose Radical Highway is to Shadow what Green Hill Zone is to Sonic. Also, love how Shadow retorts to Sonic's ''Radical'' pun by calling him ''Mr. Green Hill Zone''.

When they're asked to draw something, their immediate response is to draw each other, with Sonic even trying to give some input to Shadow. They're not the best at it, though; something they wholeheartedly agree on.

Shadow is so proud to have his Year, and Sonic likes it too, to the point of showering him with constant compliments. Shadow enjoys it, but claims how he's not ''seeking attention''. Nobody's buying that Shadow.

Sonic Shuffle get mentioned!!

Shadow played chess with Maria, which is really nice. Also, if Sonic ever plays chess with Shadow, he'd totally be the guy who eats the chess pieces, much to Shadow's confusion. Also, the fact that Shadow claims how Sonic would lose on purpose to annoy him is both hilarious and also kinda sweet, considering how Sonic has been acting in this whole Takeover.

Fadel is back and trying to get into either Team Hero or Team Dark... and Sonic and Shadow clearly refuse to have him on their teams. I find it hilarious how Sonic immediately directs him to Team Dark and Shadow claims how applications are closed, then points him at Team Hero and gaslights Sonic into reluctantly accepting Fadel into the team.

I actually watched Games Cage's reaction to that, and he is completely oblivious to the fact that Sonic is being passive-aggressive by mentioning how Tails called dibs on their only parachute, meaning Sonic is cool with letting the guy fall off the Tornado. X3

Sonic is so persistent about wanting to hug Shadow! I get Sonic Prime vibes from this and I'm loving it.

''I don't need... your kind of hugs.'' There's two things I can conclude from this:

Shadow only likes the hugs Maria and Amy gave.

Shadow actually would be fine with Sonic hugging him, but they have to be meaningful rather than fleeting considering his earlier comment. Sonic is totally oblivious to that, though.

Sonic Boom ''Shadow broods in a cave'' reference!

Besides training, Shadow's hobby is reading. He's a bookworm, and Sonic sounds so excited about learning that. I can totally see Sonic thinking about dragging Shadow into another Storybook Adventure.

Shadow's first time turning Super was still him learning how to control that power. It explains why he ran out of energy back then, while Sonic had more experience and could keep it longer. Sonic also keeps complimenting Shadow about looking cool in his Super Form, even calling him wise for pointing out how that power needs to be controlled.

WHY DOES SONIC HAVE ABRAHAM TOWER ON SPEED DIAL?!

Shadow definitely doesn't work for G.U.N. That's something that has been confirmed. I have to say, the whole conversation between the Commander and Shadow was really awkward, but the kicker is Sonic's being oblivious to the whole awkwardness. He is so proud that he arranged a call between them.

I love how Sonic's neutral opinion about Orbot changes immediately the moment he hears Shadow's own thoughts on the robot. Once Shadow says he dislikes Orbot, Sonic immediately agrees with him, and when Orbot offers to get them coffee, causing Shadow to like him, Sonic also agrees that Orbot is fine. This really feels like Sonic wants Shadow's approval by agreeing with his opinions.

Sonic and Shadow are arguing about who is better at raising their Chao. They legit sound like married couple arguing about how to take care of their children. Sonic is definitely the fun dad, while Shadow has to take care of the discipline.

Shadow doesn't believe in ghosts, despite Sonic pointing out how they ran into paranormal stuff several times. Sonic also tries to scare him a couple of times, with Shadow showing no reaction.

Shadow's favorite Doom Power is Doom Morph, and Sonic is a little jealous of that form once he hears more about it. The fact that Shadow just keeps bragging about it and annoying Sonic is hilarious.

''Skill issue!'' Lol, Shadow. I can imagine Sonic rolling his eyes at that comment.

Shadow scolds the person who listens to the Twitter Takeover instead of studying for their exam. He really cares about their education, while Sonic points out how he needs to lighten up.

Let's be honest, Sonic and Shadow definitely love hanging out with each other, admitting it in their own way that they care about each other.

I believe that this Takeover proves that Sonic and Shadow really have a good dynamic when they sit down and hang out with each other. They bicker, they tease each other, they come to agreements and disagreements, they care... It is so enjoyable to listen to them and I'm looking forward to seeing more!

Oh, and yeah, this was a feast for the Sonadow fans, if you ask me. I hope you guys will enjoy my notes, because I'm definitely going to take advantage of all the new information I got. I can't wait for the meal we'll get once the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie comes out.

Hey so can I have a scenario where Knuckles or Shadow have a crush and this crush has a crush on him. His crush is mellow and cozy to be around. And The hyper Amy rose is their best friend. Amy’s being this crushes self appointed wingwoman and is too overly enthusiastic about it? How do knuckles or shadow deal with this? Do they notice or are they naive and think their friend Amy is just being weird?

Knuckles/Shadow x reader

Sonic may be known for being fast, but NO ONE is as fast as Amy's love detecter, as soon as either of you show the SLIGHTEST bit of attraction to each other she's going all out.

Amy will try to give you her advice (running up and smothering him) but you politely decline on that.

Knuckles:

Knuckles is usually calm, staying and keeping watch over the master emerald, so he doesn't mind your presence, he's actually catching himself starting to like it.

You, on the other hand, feel the same. Knuckles is strong, determined, and sweet in his own way. However, rather than directly confessing, you’ve been waiting for the right moment to let him know how you feel.

Of course, Amy has her own plans for the two of you.

As your best friend, she's taken it upon herself to play matchmaker. Every time you're with Knuckles, Amy's there too, loudly hinting that you two would make "the cutest couple." She's way too enthusiastic, constantly trying to shove you two into situations where you’re alone together.

Knuckles, being as blunt as he is, has no idea what Amy’s up to. He thinks she's just being well, Amy. He doesn't pick up on her behavior really and only gets flustered when Amy says something like, "Don’t you think you two would look great on a romantic picnic? Oh wait! I’ve got one packed, let’s go now!" He turns beet red at Amy's suggestions but assumes it’s just her usual meddling.

Meanwhile, you’re there, both embarrassed and secretly hoping Knuckles will take the hint.

Knuckles, still in the dark about what’s really going on, gets a little annoyed with Amy’s interruptions. He just wants to talk to you without all the added pressure, but Amy’s relentless enthusiasm is hard to escape.

Eventually, Knuckles might pull you aside, away from Amy, his face flushed. "What’s with Amy today? She’s acting...weirder than usual."

You laugh softly and give him a smile, trying to keep the situation light. "I think she’s trying to tell you something, Knuckles."

He furrows his brow, confused. "Tell me something? About what?"

You take a deep breath, your heart racing a bit. "Maybe...that I like you. You know, more than just as a friend."

Knuckles freezes, blinking at you in surprise before the realization sinks in. His face goes red, and he rubs the back of his neck awkwardly. "Y-you like me? I-I mean, I like you too... I just didn't realize... Amy was trying to... Oh."

Shadow:

Shadow’s feelings for you are subtle, even to him. He’s not the type to be overly emotional, and he’s certainly not one to act on feelings as soon as they arise. But you, he feels calmed, your whole vibe and just personality is soothing to him. Whenever you're around, it’s easier for him to relax, even though he doesn’t show it much.

You, in turn, like Shadows mellow attitude, he's pretty calm most of the time, and is a nice refresher from things.

Enter Amy Rose, your overly enthusiastic best friend. She knows exactly how you feel and has decided to play the role of wingwoman. Shadow, however, isn’t the easiest person to deal with, especially when it comes to emotions, and Amy’s hyper attitude isn’t making things any easier.

Every time you and Shadow are together, Amy shows up with endless suggestions to push you closer.

“Oh, look! You and Shadow should totally have a quiet movie night together. I’ll even bring the snacks!”

she says, bouncing around. She throws out ideas for ‘romantic’ situations nonstop, much to Shadow’s confusion.

Unlike Knuckles, Shadow isn’t completely naive. He picks up on Amy’s strange behavior, but he doesn’t connect the dots.

He thinks Amy is being her usual meddling self, and he isn’t interested in playing along. Still, there’s a part of him that wonders why she’s pushing so hard for you two to spend time together.

Shadow is very blunt, he's not shy to confront Amy on her attitude. “What exactly are you trying to do Amy?” he asks, crossing his arms and glaring at her.

Amy, grinning wildly, “Just helping a friend out! Don’t you think you and them would be perfect together?” She wiggles her eyebrows dramatically.

Shadow blinks, taken aback by her bluntness. He turns to you, noticing how you seem a bit nervous. “Is this true? You like me?”

“Yeah, I do. But... I wasn’t exactly planning on telling you this way.”

After a long pause, he steps closer to you, his expression softening just a bit. “You should’ve told me. I don’t mind... spending more time with you. Without her interference.” He shoots Amy a quick, annoyed glance, but it’s clear he’s more focused on you now.

Amy’s excited squeal echoes in the background as she dashes off, leaving the two of you alone.

Shadamy opinion/headcanon#1 (there may or may not be more later)

I really think that Shadow and Amy would get each-other personal or practical gifts.

As much as I love the idea of Shadow going out of his way to purchase an item that would break most people’s wallets into a bajillion tiny pieces, I think he would get her things she needs.

“Aw man, I ran out of XYZ.” And he’d buy her one(or some) of said thing catered to her taste.

Lost her favorite bracelet? Goes and picks one out for her. Spilled a drink on her shirt? He already ordered 5. Mentions needing a new mop? He researched the best one and it’s in a box at her door a day later.

She has to be so careful about what she mentions liking because he’ll have bought out the entire supply before she can even blink. He would spare absolutely no expense, but she isn’t the expensive type. Personal stuff and things that show that he pays attention are more than enough to make her heart race.

On the other end of things, Amy’s doing almost the same. If she notices that he really likes a specific food or likes a certain brand that’s what she’s getting. He doesn’t vocalize much of what he likes or doesn’t like, at least not like she does, so she pays ATTENTION when he looks at or seems to prefer literally anything.

She’d gift him little trinkets and keychains, especially of the matching variety. Amy made bracelets for the two of them when they went out to a concert and he still wears it hidden in his glove. She makes sure to cook his favorite foods and stocks up on the snacks he enjoys.

Amy is an arts and crafts girl, so she’s making most of his gifts, and he is storing every👏 single👏 one👏. His room is most likely empty as hell, but he has a shelf dedicated to the things she gets him. (And probably got made fun of for it if it was ever seen)

MOVING ON-

Sonic is acting strange.

From the moment he entered the cave at the top of the mountain and going on even after Shadow finished the battle, he was more energetic, talking faster than usual, to his friends’s eyes happier than they had ever seen him before. But deep inside his mind and heart, he felt more melancholic than anything.

Rouge said something about to going visit Shadow, wherever he’d gone, though it’s not probable that Shadow would gift her a powerful gem of inter dimensional proportions, it’s still a possibility. He finds himself comfortable with the idea of either of them guarding it, after all, Shadow would never let it bring chaos to their lives again, and now he knows Rouge it’s a better leader than he could ever be, they both would make the right call.

Sparring with Knuckles was as much of a way to get the stress out of his system as it is a reminder that the guardian isn’t a glory driven danger prone sailor, nor a extremely paranoid jungle survivor, and definitely not a soldier willing to hit an 8 year old if it means saving the world, no, he’s just Knucks. Ready to put him back in his tracks every time he goes off, same old Knucklehead.

Asking Amy to help him bake a cake to celebrate their victory on the mountain took her by surprise, not expecting Sonic to have the consideration or patience to think about and prepare that kind of gift just so their friends would enjoy it together. But what really shook her to the core was how many times he thanked her through the making, in his mind just one of those “thank you” was for the cake, the rest of them were for everything else.

Tails knows Sonic is acting strange.

it wasn’t just the sudden consideration on his words and actions, but also the eagerness to just spend time with them, an insane amount of time in which he paid attention to everyone and everything, he looked to the sea as if it was more of a new racetrack than an obstacle to his speed, he turned his sight to the sky as if he’d forgotten it was blue, and gazed to the palm trees as if he’d never seen one before. But most of it all, between his friends and the rest of the world, Sonic was looking at him.

It wasn’t the normal look he’d give him everyday, being the only one Sonic hadn’t been alone with since the mountain battle was weird enough, they would usually race and joke together after every battle, but not this time; Sonic was actively keeping him at arms length while never getting his eyes off of him, It didn’t matter who was Sonic talking to or what was he doing, if Tails was around, he was looking at him.

Every time he was smiling he would look back to see if he was smiling too, when one of his friends tried to approach him Sonic would instantly get in their way without any more reason than to talk to them, if there was a sudden movement or loud noise Sonic would turn to him as if to expect him to be gone, the calmness in his body being noticeable every time he found him.

It felt wrong, it felt distant, it felt as if he was a problem. He hasn’t felt like this in years.

Hours and hours later when their friends finally got too tired of watching Sonic’s odd behavior they all went their own way for the night, with Rouge just disappearing in the dark, Knuckles claiming he had places to be, and Amy saying the day had drained her and she needed sleep, Sonic and Tails were finally alone.

The walk to Tails’ lab was quick, but quiet. The silence prevailed all the way before they entered the house and closed the door, then it wasn’t quiet anymore.

With the way Sonic practically launched himself over Tails knocking the air out of him as he hugged the kit tightly, both falling to the floor as Sonic held him against his chest with one hand while the other one placed itself securing the fox’s head just below Sonic’s chin. Tails was quiet, way too shocked with the sudden affection after a whole day of being so close while feeling so far away. But Sonic’s sobs and whimpers weren’t quiet at all.

They were loud and broken, not forming any comprehensible words as hiccups broke in every time it seemed like he was actually trying to say something, as if he held back from crying for hours, It felt guilty, sorrowful, and desperate.

Tails found himself breaking his silence and asking repeatedly “what’s wrong?!” as he reciprocated the hug just for Sonic to tighten his arms around him, breaking into fully crying this time, with a sea of tears falling from the speedster’s eyes to the genius’ head, not letting him go even for a second, not loosening his grip after what felt like hours of holding his little brother, who held him back just as tightly.

Even if the tears stopped, their embrace didn’t, with the morning warmth closer than midnight’s coldness the blue hedgehog found himself surrounding the sleepy fox as he fought sleep’s calling to stay with his big brother.

“I love you” was muttered to the boy’s ears as he was claimed by the land of dreams, in which he could fly all day with the shining star he called his brother.

Tails wasn’t sure if that whisper was part of his dream. Sonic knew it wasn’t

Been thinking about a Sonic movieverse swap, so you guys will have to listen to it:

First movie - Shadow’s asteroid crashes on Earth in the present. Instead of farmers and G.U.N., Maria Robotnik finds Shadow. Her grandfather is currently at a convention in San Francisco, leaving her home alone. She and Shadow bond until G.U.N. comes to investigate the asteroid drop. Maria and Shadow escape, deciding to get to Maria’s grandfather since he’ll either be able to protect Shadow or send him back to space. They road trip.

They’re pursued by Agent Stone, a high-ranking agent in G.U.N., and Stone’s assistant, Dr. Ivo Robotnik (which confuses Maria b/c Gerald never told her she had other family). Ivo makes robots, and Stone commands them like a general. Although Ivo’s the assistant, he’s still very egotistical about his position and how robots are superior. Stone, for his part, is so military-minded that he doesn’t even realize he puts up with Ivo’s BS because he loves—I mean, whatever Paramount says Stone feels about Ivo (they’re not fooling anyone)

The plot from there is mostly the same (tho Maria’s the reason they end up at the bar lmao). Shadow is allowed to stay with Gerald and Maria at the end, and they banish Stone to the mushroom dimension using a machine that Gerald made that repurposes Shadow’s chaos abilities (since they don’t have rings)

Second movie - Stone is rescued by the time traveler, Silver, who wants to defeat Shadow since he believes the Black Arms stole the (Master Emerald? But for the Time Stones). Silver and Stone go after Shadow while the hedgehog is home alone because Maria and Gerald went to somewhere for some reason (maybe a wedding still?). Shadow is rescued by Amy, someone who also came in search of the Time Stones in order to fix Little Planet. The plot also goes the same way, tho Shadow doesn’t so super, he goes… whatever the Time Stones make someone (which I actually have ideas for)

Amy and Silver fix their planet/future. They stay with the Robotniks, becoming the protectors of the Time Stones together

Third movie - Fifty years ago, Sonic escaped from Longclaw getting killed. He was immediately found by G.U.N. Still a young hoglet, he naturally gravitated toward Agent Tom and Dr. Maddie, a guard and scientist, respectively, at the blacksite. Sonic grew up with them as his parents. Eventually, he caused a universe blackout that made G.U.N. deem the project too dangerous. He tried escaping with Tom and Maddie, but Tom was killed. Maddie was imprisoned. Sonic was, too, and put in stasis per Director Rockwell’s orders (she’s switching with Walters)

Once Maddie’s freed, she frees Sonic and they plan to take out G.U.N., the rest of the world be damned by the crossfire. His freedom makes G.U.N. contact Shadow, Amy, and Silver for assistance

Maddie and Stone are not family, but Maddie does get into his head, first by appealing to his militaristic senses and then by learning part of him does want a family. She’s motherly to Stone up until they fight in the Eclipse Cannon

Sonic and Shadow have their Time Stone-powered fight and reconcile. Sonic and Stone sacrifice their lives to stop the Eclipse Cannon

Mid credit scene, I guess Shadow Androids show up, and Tails arrives to help Shadow stop them

Post credit, Sonic picks up his glove

Why I Stopped Chasing

It was a cool winter evening. The moonlight peaked through its phase to give off a bit of a soft gleam. Amy laid in her bed, candles lit, fairy lights gingerly twinkled and calming classical music playing through her headphones. Allergies, possibly a small cold, had really messed her up and she needed the rest. However that wasn’t all that was keeping her down tonight. Physically she felt congested but inside the small flicker of guilt that had lingered for years, gnawed at her gut.

Closing her eyes she didn’t notice the near ominous specks of green light seemingly appear out of nowhere. Growing more and more until a small breeze brushed past her quills, eliciting her to look at where it came from. Considering her window was shut tight for the winter. Upon seeing a familiar red and black silhouette, with a rather obvious green chaos emerald in hand, she slowly lifted her head in confusion.

“S-Shadow?”

“Apologies for barging in without knocking.” His usual demeanor that reminded her of a tuxedo chao, evident whilst putting the gem in his jacket pocket.

“It’s…fine. Why are you here?”

“Your friends are worried and I couldn’t take the insistent, worrisome whining. According to them you haven’t been…yourself lately.”

“Yeah well that’s what happens when one is struggling to breathe due to allergies and a possible cold.” A more sarcastic smile as she gestured to herself and the multiple small tissue boxes on her bedside table. He raised a brow, arms folded that clearly stated he wasn’t convinced this was it.

“What?”

“Is this really what’s bothering you?”

“I mean I couldn’t fake this nor did I want it.” She groaned, laying her head back down.

“You’ve stopped chasing after him.”

Amy blinked, glancing at one of her scented candles. The guilt continued to make her feel so queasy, she hadn’t been able to eat properly for days. Shadow noticed her annoyed and irritated expression instantly vanish to one look he was very familiar with. The pain in her eyes, evident as it was easy to read. But it wasn’t so simple.

“Yeah” She finally spoke with simple and soft acknowledgement. “So what if I did? It’s probably for the best. Not to be rude, Shadow, but why do you care if I do or don’t?” Watching him be the one to look at the same candle before shutting his eyes and giving a more…heartfelt answer than she expected.

“The same reason you reached out to me back when we were enemies.” Amy blinked as memories of her begging and pleading with him to save the earth, that he is more than revenge and that if anything else she would care for him. Gesturing to her bed, he sat down as they just looked at the flickering flame for a bit.

“At first it was out of embarrassment.” She began. “Once I realized that what I was doing was desperate, obsessive and really unhealthy, even if I never meant to do it, I felt…awful. The guilt grew overtime and while I’ve always been reassured and proven that our friendship and my help isn’t a lie, I can’t shake off the past version of me.

There are three things that got so lost in translation. I don’t believe in the whole ‘love at first sight’ bs. At first I thought it was just deep admiration. But I kept getting strong intuitions of us together and those kept getting stronger overtime. Some turned out to be visions. Heck the amount of times I tried using my tarot cards to prove it- and it came true. Though I haven’t in awhile when I learned that it might’ve been wishful thinking on my part.”

“You do have a true gift for reading people as well as your strength.” Pausing, she couldn’t help but have a small smile peak through before continuing. 

“I think overtime…I truly have fallen for him naturally. It’s part of why I have backed off.”

“Seems…counterproductive.”

“You know the old saying ‘If you love someone, set them free.’-”

“ ‘If they come back it was meant to be.’ I believe the rest of the saying goes.” Catching her tilted yet admiring expression he coughed and glanced away.

“Maria and I studied much literature when we were on the ARK.” Amy knew she shouldn’t push, but every bit of information he willingly gave about that part of his life, she cherished in her heart.

“My point is this. What I love about him, among many other things, is that drive of freedom, adventure and living in the moment. The thought of being with someone, that traditional idealistic stigma of ‘settling down’ would terrify anyone that doesn’t want that for themselves. I may not always look like it, but that life is so boring to me. It ties into the third point in all of this.”

“You long for that sense of freedom too.” Shadow guessed as it slowly clicked.

“I rather go see the world, go on journies that I can’t always experience back home. Live my life to the fullest. I may not want everything that Sonic does, I am my own person after all, but I wanted him to see that I wouldn’t want him to change, ever. But my actions would seemingly counteract my intentions, even if I tried to talk about my honest truth. Though I will admit, I’m not my best at communicating when I feel so flustered, annoyed and not thinking clearly.”

“Seems pretty clear to me Rose.”

“Yeah well, he’s not here.” She giggled nervously before reaching for a tissue, and hand sanitizer, before turning away.

“So you stopped chasing after him because-?”

“I stopped chasing after him to one, stop being so clingy, two to try and convey that I want him to live his best life as I try to live my own. Three so I can truly ask if this was honestly meant to be or if we have to stay friends, which….I’m okay with.” A brief pause as she wanted to say one more thing that was another reason why. One that had red highlights, can be broody and is sitting her listening to every word she had said. Her heart still yearned for Sonic….but it now also yearned for Shadow’s.

“I think I understand.” Shadow’s voice broke the growing silence. “But…do you still care for him in that way?” Holding out his hand for hers before gently pulling her upright.

“Yes. There is…one other factor but…I can’t say what just yet.” Amy breathed softly as she felt her head being guided to rest on his shoulder.

“Faker truly doesn’t see what’s right in front of him.” The usual annoyance in tone was added in with something else she wasn’t expecting. This level of care seemed so out of character and yet, also felt so right.

“I’ll be okay with that if he never does…I’ll have to be okay with that. Besides, he’ll always make me laugh and will be there to help if needed.” Amy giggled, letting this moment linger a bit before slowly laying herself back down.

“I’ll tell the other’s I’m okay and once fully over all this.” Gesturing to her face, tissue in hand. “I’ll be back for more adventures.”

“I’ll let you rest.” Shadow got up and pulled out the gem. Preparing to go back and let the other’s know she was fine and needed rest.

“Shadow, wait!” Amy called out as he glanced over his shoulder. “Thank you for checking in and hearing me out. I deeply appreciate it.” She smiled as he rolled his eyes before giving a small smirk.

“Anytime, Rose. Chaos Control!” Another flicker of a breeze and she pulled the blankets over herself, drifting back to sleep slowly.

Meanwhile a blue hedgehog unintentionally found himself outside her window, originally preparing to make a visit, but lingered in on the conversation. Heart pounding and a blush against his cheeks.

‘I should’ve known this was much more than what it seemed. Especially since it’s you, sweet Amy.’ Sonic thought before slowly peeking through the window, opening it slightly just to cover her up more with blankets. Running a hand through her quills with a soft smile.

‘You mean so much more to me Ames. One day I’ll make sure you know….soon.'
