Butters haters talk the same way about him. I find Heidi to be a lot like a girl version of him and this just points out more similarities they have. Yes, they choose/chose to hang around with Cartman while knowing he's a bad person, but loneliness can lead you to associating with awful people because at the time it seems like the better option. I'm surprised how many people seem to have never been in a situation like that.

And yes, I think Heidi was lonely. She had just given up social media which the show treated to be the same as committing suicide. She was in a vulnerable state and Cartman showed her kindness and made her feel connected to someone. It's obvious she also has an admittedly dangerous "I can fix him" kind of mindset.

I think acting like Heidi is just some bitch who was born evil and therefore can never be a better person is also doing a disservice to her character.

Heidi was a bad person before she met Cartman and will still be a bad person, he just gave her the excuse to act out for a while. Media literacy and listening to Matt and Trey's commentaries about her being a Trump supporter an natural antisemite will help many fans accurately separate her faults from those of Cartman and correctly assign much of the blame to Heidi for her bigotry. You are doing Heidi a disservice by putting blame on other characters and not acknowledging her capacity for evil just because she's a girl. I'm glad she is only a useless background character again because think of the harm she could do while pretending to be so innocent, Kyle and other characters do not deserve that abuse.

So... I think it's no secret that my favorite little guy is Kenny. As for largest headcanon... I have so many honestly idk what counts as large so i'm just gonna name a few smaller ones

the day after a death of his he has massive sensory issues because his body & senses have to readjust to being corporeal again

when he gets older he learns breakdancing and goes to dance ciphers with Butters :>> Butters is a dancer as well i mean thats canon

[ Jerry S. ] : Jerry is by far the nicest out of the group, especially towards Buttons. They talk a lot in Honors English, and sometimes swap lunches whenever they hate something their moms packed for them. (8/10)

[ Josh L. ]: Josh is.. eh.. towards Buttons. He doesn’t have a real opinion on her, and she could say the same to him, but she feels awfully bad for him whenever Bill comments on his weight. She feels the same out Bill whenever Josh says something mean, but she knows Bill, and some part of her says that ‘he deserved it’ (3/10)

[ Jane D. ]: Buttons BFF!!!!!!! Buttons and Jane are really close, even if Button’s is much older than her. Nonetheless, they’re very unlikely to even be friends, but Buttons finds Jane’s voodoo and love for gothic-relics funny, and Jane finds Buttons skills entertaining to learn. (9/10)

overall, think of Buttons as the sort of ‘butters’ to the clubs ‘Stan, Kyle, Eric, and Kenny’. Always used, and always willing to help!!

which rlly goes to show that cartman actually knows how to bring out the BEST in kyle, not the worst. and yeah the same can be said with the episode “cupid ye”. i feel like one of the real reasons why cartman was all butthurt about kyle making tiktoks with tolkien wasn’t just bc he was jealous, it was bc he was annoyed af over how fake and basic kyle was being lol. cartman knows DAMN WELL kyle shaking his ass on the internet and joining in on retarded fads like that is NOT who he is, and that he would be smart enough to see through how dumb something like that is.

that’s rlly something all 4 boys have in common in general is that they’re a bunch of rebel misfits and don’t like to play by the rules and are smart enough to see through the dogma. “elementary school musical” is the perfect example of this bc yeah the boys all had 0 patience whatsoever for the high school musical shit and vowed to each other to never join in (except stan eventually did bc he’s the weakest link when it comes to this shit but that’s a story for another day lol).

and yeah it’s been a common plot device in the show where one of the boys ditches the group to join in on a dumb fad and the rest of the group feels all betrayed and so the reason why cartman & kyle can get along so well and make great allies in certain moments is bc those two tend to be the most committed and real out of the four when it comes to standing by their beliefs and what they think is right, def wayyy more than stan & kenny. obviously they clash A LOT bc they’ll usually be fighting for complete opposite things, but when they do actually agree with each other they stay true to their cause THICK AND THIN. and THAT is why cartman is kyle’s TRUE friend, bc kyle doesn’t have to be fake around cartman nor hide his intelligence from him. cartman knows that he can always rely on kyle in the sense that if something stupid were to happen in the town (as always), kyle would take his side and agree with him that it is indeed stupid.

Jimbo and Ned, for sure. There may be one or two others, but those are the top two picks for me.

#12. Outside of M4, name a boy you'd love to see have an episode focused on them?

That's a damn good question.

Since we can't count any of the main 5, and I want to avoid picking one of Craig's Gang, I'll go with either Dougie or Kevin Stoley.

I've already talked elsewhere about what the show could do with Dougie, so I'm not going to repeat myself.

With Kevin Stoley, we obviously know about his interest in sci-fi and fantasy, but we've also seen that he's not always "in the loop", so to speak, with most of the other boys. He naturally seems to hyper fixate, and probably doesn't have as strong of social skills, hence why we don't really see him hang our with the main boys that much despite living on the same block as Craig, Clyde, and Jimmy. Perhaps we shouldn't be surprised that his best friend ended up being a literal alien.

#17. Which girl, outside of Wendy, would you like to see explored more into her life/personality/etc?

If we're sticking to the main girls besides Wendy (Bebe, Heidi, Nichole, and Red), I'll go with Red. Besides being the least developed of the five, I really like the tough, take-no-shit tomboy persona that she's often shown when we've seen her.

Otherwise, I'd really like to see Annie Knitts fleshed out more. Never mind that she's been part of the show literally since the beginning, the bits and pieces we've gotten of her show a fair bit of promise. Very sweet, cheerful, if naive and perhaps even a bit odd, and while the parallels with Butters are obvious, you could still develop her into a worthwhile character in her own right. Personally, I like to write her as something of a Gracie Allen type, and for those that don't know who Gracie Allen is, here's a clip:

So like uhhh in this au, humans and humanoid creatures live with each other

-Stan and other sea-fishy people are nymphs. Merfolks are EXCINT !!!!! Merfolks and nymphs may been created by the same ancestor but they’re different entities

-Humans are common on the town, such as Kyle, Butters, Heidi, Craig, etc..

-Tweek isn’t a mythical creature but a humanoid coffee BOOOOOOOO 👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻

-McCormick family is descended from Cthulhu. It’s obligatory to them to make like a type of cults, generation to generation. That’s why they’re immortal. The one who’d broke the cycle would be EXECUTED and dead permanently. They also have another abilities like electrokinesis and telepathic broadcast (YEA. Karen and Kevin are immortal in this au too)

-Marsh family have hydrokinesis and cryokinesis (hydrokinesis from Randy’s part and Cryokinesis on Sharon’s part. Stan has hydrokinesis and Shelly has cryokinesis)

This is a long one.

Pt 2

Cartman just will never learn how to drive. Ever. He knows he has other people to ferry him around.

In a similar vein, when that time rolls around (teenhood), Kenny legally can’t drive but he can drive. He just doesn’t have a licence. This persists until much later in life when he can financially support himself.

Stan begged/bribed Cartman to not harass Red for being a daywalker to keep the peace in his and Wendy’s relationship.

Whenever Wendy and Cartman need to sit down to talk out some sort of dispute, they do it over a pack of Oreo’s. They call this Oreo Time.

Kenny and Cartman play GTA together a lot.

Heidi is part Jewish on her mother’s side.

Cartman’s natural eye colour is brown. He has blue eyes, now.

Cartman is short by the time he’s fully grown (probably because of his weight), and has naturally brown hair and blue eyes. Kenny is the opposite, with blond hair and blue eyes, and is naturally Cartman’s favourite.

Cartman’s coat is plain red flannel (it’s the closest thing to fuzzy felt we can get), Stan’s is canvas, Kyle’s is tarpoon cloth, and Kenny’s is synthetic material (it’s like that smooth thin material that makes a high pitched whirry noise when you scratch it?? Cannot find the specific name for the life of me).

Tweek and Butters are cousins. Either through both of their mothers or through Butters’ dad and Tweek’s mom. Let me know which one you prefer.

Craig and Cartman’s hats are from the same store / brand.

Cartman and Kyle wear opposite colours on opposite pieces of clothing (is this a headcanon or observation? Who knows, I just want to point it out). Kyle has a green hat, contrasting Cartman’s red coat. Cartman has a (primarily) blue hat, contrasting Kyle’s orange coat. Kyle’s original gold-yellow t-shirt also compliments Cartman’s blue t-shirt, and pairs with Cartman’s yellow puff, brim, and gloves.

Cartman sometimes hums the Dreidal song to himself. Rarely will he sing it.

Carol and Stuart put Kenny in a separate room to Kevin because they didn’t anticipate a third kid. When Karen came along, they didn’t bother to displace one of them, so just stuck her in with one of them (Kevin) at random.

Kenny carries the gene for red hair.

Either (or both) Laura and Thomas have brown eyes. This is why Craig has black hair. (Relying on a quick google search for this one).

If Stan looks a lot like Randy as he gets older, right down to the eyes, Shelley looks like Sharon, but with Randy’s eyes.

Obviously I gotta make the biggest bitch of all the bitches Stanley Marsh Odysseus. I mean come on, just look at how Greek hero coded he is. I love how Eurylochus and Odysseus’ relationship slowly becomes more and more tense as the sagas go on and Eurylochus is rather blunt throughout the whole musical so I’d have to make Craig him. And for Polites, Mr “greet the world with open arms” who dies by following those words I’d have to cast him as Kenny.

I struggled so ridiculously badly with who to cast as Athena because so many characters fit but I ultimately had to chose Gregory because “goddess of wisdom, master of war” just screamed BLU for some reason. I made Damien Zeus for the sole reason of having a seemingly short temper and actually having divine-ish abilities. Pip is Aeolus, they just both give me the same vibes where it’s like playful but can very easily fuck you up and screw you over. For Hermes I chose Jimmy. Like have you seen how much of a silly guy Hermes is in Epic?! That’s so Jimmy but there’s still a shit ton of power that he obviously would have because he’s a fucking god. For Poseidon I chose Clyde and Im finding it very difficult to explain my thought process behind this one but the main thing was just to think of him from SOT. Like that’s how I pictured it idk. Kevin McCormick for Hephaestus only because I wanted one of the older kids because Jays dad is the VA for Hephaestus smh. Bebe as Aphrodite which is pretty self explanatory. Christophe as Ares bc he’s angry, French, and fights people. And finally Heidi as Hera, I love her and she’s dealt with waaaaay too much bullshit when it comes to boyfriends. (We don’t talk about Apollo bc I can’t figure it out😭)

For Calypso I chose Butters because I feel like he’s so seemingly sweet and innocent but he’s really a deranged little freak (and I love him dearly) but so is Calypso. Circe would be Kyle, I feel like she’s the more clever and strategic of the two (and your girl needs her tiny little bits of Style). And for Tiresias I chose Tolkien because HAVE YOU HEARD HOW REGAL SOUNDING THE VA IS?! LIKE IDK IT JUST FELT LIKE IT FIT-

kyle’s jealousy in “fort collins” explained (FROM THE VAULT [2020])

I wanna talk about the episode “Fort Collins” which was from s20. I’m pretty sure I might’ve done like a minirant already on this but there’s still a lot more to talk about. It’s the one where Kyle threatened to share Cartman’s internet history with Heidi. This moment right here was the moment that changed how I viewed Kyle because it was sooooooo fucking spiteful and petty. Cartman was hardly even doing anything to Kyle when he said that. Like Cartman just came over to Kyle’s house and was teasing him a little over not saying women are funny or some shit. Seriously we’ve seen Cartman do wayyyyy worse shit to Kyle than that, and he usually just takes it, so I don’t understand how Cartman just teasing him in a small way like he always does was apparently bad enough to prompt Kyle to threaten to share Cartman’s INTERNET HISTORY. Which is why it had to have been jealousy, the reason why Kyle was more pissed off than usual had to have been because of Heidi. And this was foreshadowing all the way back in s20 that Kyle wanted to sabotage their relationship just like he tried to in s21. But it’s like seriously Cartman was hardly doing SHIT to Kyle, he was in a relationship with someone else and everything. The reason why Cartman came over to Kyle’s house to tell him he needed to be more respectful to women was because he knew Kyle had an issue with Heidi and the reason why Kyle joined the wieners out protest was because he was pissed about Cartman & Heidi’s relationship. Cartman was annoyed that Kyle went back on his word, because in the beginning of the season Kyle was acting like he did care about the girls and everything. So that was all Cartman was trying to tell Kyle, and then he walked away. But of course bc Kyle has no self-awareness and only knows how to perceive anything Cartman tells him as a personal attack, Kyle had to retaliate. Kyle said that he had been doing research on trolltrace so that just kind of tells me how obsessed Kyle is with Cartman and how he was thinking about what him and Heidi were doing together incessantly while he was by himself, and it’s like he had this comeback PREPARED. And Cartman was the one who walked away and was done with the conversation, Kyle was the one who was starting extra shit with him. So what this episode really revealed to me is that Kyle is pretty much just as attention-seeking as Cartman. Kyle had suchhh an issue with Cartman giving attention to someone that wasn’t him. And it doesn’t even fucking matter if Cartman is just picking on and tormenting Kyle like half the time. He still wants that attention even if it’s negative attention. It’s like Kyle gets all pissed off when Cartman is mean to him, but then when Cartman leaves him alone and focuses on another person Kyle gets even more pissed off. Kyle was trying to create more drama because he missed arguing with Cartman 24/7, and Cartman wasn’t giving that to him anymore. I know we tend to think of Cartman as the one who’s constantly picking on Kyle to get attention, but Kyle is the same way. Kyle loveees to start shit with Cartman (even when Cartman is just minding his own business) just for attention too. And season 20 as a whole really showed how dependent Kyle is on Cartman. I mean first Kyle tried to ask for Cartman’s help to stop Butters and everything, and then when Cartman told him no, Kyle completely abandoned his beliefs and everything he stood for by JOINING Butters. And Cartman called Kyle out for this. And if Kyle really was a good, kind, and selfless person he would’ve respected Cartman’s decision and why him and Heidi wanted to stay out of it and stay off of social media and all that. It’s like why couldn’t Kyle have figured out his own way to take down Butters and done it himself? Oh that’s right bc Kyle literally has no sense of self-identity and just prefers to do whatever Cartman or Stan tells him to do (mostly Cartman LMAO). So I think it says a lot how Kyle basically needs Cartman in his life and by his side to keep him anchored.

UPDATE (2024): i hate how when kyman shippers were all pointing out how kyle was jealous in this scene, the retarded anti-kyman flat earthers and kyle stans were like “oh that’s bc cartman was being a dick so he had to!1!1!” like um bitch NO cartman wasn’t being a dick he was just legitimately calling kyle out on his bs and holding him accountable for his behavior like a good friend should. it rlly makes me worry for their sanity if they think someone calling them out for being hypocritical means that person is being a DICK.
