Hello and welcome to CutieClan, my ClanGen project! You can call me Foxy (she/her). I am illustrating the events of CutieClan, starting at Moon 0. I'll be posting a new comic page every week or so and starting out doing one moon at a time.

I was heavily inspired by other blogs such as FallenClan and SporeClan! I won't tag them just yet since I am only starting out, but I want to do fanart of their cats in the near future so I'll tag them then :3

I haven't touched tumblr in many years, and I am still figuring out how to draw cats consistently, so this will be a learning experience in several ways. I hope you will enjoy watching my progress and getting to know the cats of CutieClan as the weeks go on!

To get us started, here's all the Founding Cats profiles! Since I am still learning to draw cats, I decided to simply redraw the game sprites for their profiles. I tried to give each cat a unique design and features reflecting their personality!

I am unsure what day of the week new pages will be posted just yet, but expect the Moon 0 page to be posted in the next few days to kick off the new year!

Note: Why is it called CutieClan? I am a Vtuber and I call my fans my Cuties, and I plan to stream a lot of the art as I work on it and accept input, so I wanted to involve my community! You can watch me work on CutieClan art sometimes, typically during weekends, on my twitch here <3

this isn't all of them, the whole clan currently has a total of 49 members, including five medicine cats because when you live in a polluted hellhole you're gonna take all the doctors you can get

yes they all have permanently soot-stained fur to some degree and no, they don't really groom themselves because that's just how you get some kind of poisoning <3

these cats have pretty much zero sense of smell

no one is exactly sure what the hell is up with Canarysong, but when he was like 8 moons old, back when Ravenstar was still Ravenbloom, a warrior barely 20 moons old who one night suddenly died due to complications with his respiratory issues, Canarypaw was able to tell something was up, and somehow he brought Raven back. This later happened again with Sanddapple who got a fatal case of greencough, and after that the clan ended up really split in their opinions on Canarysong. Like, hello, that's a cat who can just bring people back? Which essentially makes death and StarClan utterly meaningless, as some understood it. Coalfoot for example utterly despises Canary, which kinda sucks because his daughter ended up being Canary's apprentice and later remained one of his very few close friends. The two don't really talk much anymore.

A whole bunch of cats afterwards outright ordered Canarysong to not revive them if they do die, which made him somewhat upset, but he understood.

But turns out he cannot bring back cats whose bodies cannot be retrieved, as Ravenstar and Steelfur found out when their son Shadowpaw died in a mine collapse. The tragedy hit the family really hard. In an attempt to move on they had another litter, but months later Steelfur herself succumbed to a wound infection, but Ravenstar insisted on bringing her back. Mere weeks after that, their only daughter Charpaw was also lost in a mine collapse. The family, and most of the clan, understood it as a price for a new chance at life at Canarysong's paws. Ravenstar has completely lost all his spirit, and the only thing keeping Steelfur's spirits up after the death of two of her kits and her mate's detachement is their youngest daughter Wishpaw, whose name alone carries all of Steelfur's remaining optimism

Then Sootstar lost all his remaining lives in yet another mine collapse, and the clan's conviction that the mines and Canarysong's powers are somehow connected only solidified. No one knows what the connection is exactly, but most don't even dare to think about it. The clan tries to move on and live a normal life again, but no one can ignore that there are three cats living among them who should not be alive, and one cat with the potential to completely destroy the natural order.

i've been rotating a new wc oc story in my brain (unrelated to Ferretcry's code), n i figured i'd try a few designs for it. these def aren't their final designs, but it was fun to mess with

the main character is Havenfrost. she's the clan's medcat, and causes the death of Stonewhisper. something that's enough her fault that she is to blame, but enough of an accident that the clan forgives her and doesn't blame her too much for it. i'm thinking maybe she didn't treat an infection wound of his well enough.

wracked with guilt and anxiety, Havenfrost stops visiting starclan, fearing that she'll have to face Stonewhisper there. not wanting the clan to get suspicious, she starts lying about prophecies. she also has a growing paranoia, interpreting everything as some omen starclan is trying to send her.

when they were younger, her and Duststar had an almost romance. neither fully got over it, especially Duststar. cause of that, Duststar has a soft spot for Havenfrost. later on, Berrysong and Havenfrost became mates, and are a sort of open secret in the clan. it leaves Duststar even more upset, feeling that's proof her and Haven could have worked out.

Berrysong is a sweetheart, and really does love Havenfrost. unfortunately she also gets swept along in Haven's descent. absolutely disastrous lesbians. i haven't fully decided if they break up, or if they're just #hand in unlovable hand

Sanddapple is Stonewhisper's mate. she's either pregnant when Stone dies, or already has kits at the time. she's not mad at Havenfrost, and it only makes Havenfrost feel even worse. she wants Sanddapple to scream at her, or attack her, but nothing like that ever happens. Havenfrost hates visiting the nursery to take care of her n the kits, but she also really feels like it's her responsibility to Stonewhisper to do so. but part of that is just her feeling like Stone is watching her from starclan all the time, furious with her.

i don't have a proper name for the story yet, and it's not all fleshed out, but i'm vibing with it. it's mostly Haven's decent into paranoia and guilt. also how she hurts those around her in the process. she's a fav of mine now. poor little meow meow <33

Lots going on this moon! I love the father and son bonding page the most <3 With this, CutieClan will be going on a hiatus until January 1st, where it will return with a prologue comic: Fawnstar's Origin! This is what was voted on to celebrate the blog's 1 year anniversary :D

I plan on building up a backlog over the break and then post prologue on Wednesdays and regular moons on Sundays as usual. This week I will also be posting the new Moon 24 Allegiances, Family Tree, and Sprite sheet, as well as answering any asks left!

1 Year Anniversary DTIYS!

Celebrating 1 year of running this blog, here's a "draw this in your style" piece of the Fawn family! <3
