On the corner of my shelf, There is lies work of a messy little artist. The drawing, faded and strokes weird, The line, crooked and smudges of colours. That was the work of a messy little artist. I've met her, I've been her, I am her. Yet, we are not the same. That messy little artist was free, Picked colours easily to express herself, Stroked line without constraints of being a daughter. I am her, yet, not. I think about her, mourn about her. Maybe someday, when I have no more responsibility to fulfill, No more guilt from wasting my time, No more taunts of doing something that helps me express. I will again pick up my pencil, Stroke by stroke, draw my soul. Untill then, I will keep her, and her work, In the warm place in my heart, no, not in the corner. The messy little artist deserves a warmest place to reside, in the centre of my heart. Untill then, On the corner of my shelf, There is lies work of a messy little artist.
