Biopic “Archipelago”

Filming for the biopic “Archipelago” begins on May 14. The film will be Alex Schulman’s directorial debut based on his own script.

Gustaf Skarsgård, Fares Fares and Linus Wahlgren play three fathers who accompany their daughters on a school trip to hell. Stranded with a rowdy high school class on an idyllic archipelago island, they are reminded of their own teenage trauma. And just like the young people, they are soon forced to realize how difficult it is to draw the line between play and dangerous power struggles, and to distinguish victims from perpetrators.

“Archipelago” depicts how contact between adults and children fails when curling and anxiety have replaced closeness and trust. It is also a story about human shortcomings, and the distorted communication between adults.
