Little things adults and older people can do to help younger people and children feel included, safe, and respected as an equal individual:

Ask before touching the young person - even for hugs. Ask before you take pictures of them, and let them see photographs of them before they are printed or sent to others (even family).

Apologize when you are wrong

Ask for a young persons thoughts on a subject, then engage with them after they have spoken

Demonstrate behaviour you want to see from them (see: apologizing). Say "excuse me," say "thank you," say "please" to them

Validate their feelings, even if they don't know how to express them just yet

Remember that this is the first time they've been alive, and that you've had way longer to "figure it out"

These are some things I wish other adults remembered when engaging with young folks. We so often forget what childhood felt like and how unfair it all was because we were often awarded freedoms as adults that we never had as children. These kids are equal to adults, and they deserve the same courtesy, respect, kindness, and understanding we give to other adults.

#youth liberation #the first point was something i had SO many struggles with #i would have breakdowns because i was scared my picture would be taken without my consent then shared to others #i took a picture of my younger brother with his permission and i let him decide if i could send it to our dad...#...because it felt so scary when people did that without my consent and i would NEVER want him to ever EVER feel that because of ME...#...and it turned out that we had a really positive engagement and he was happy and excited with the picture! because he was informed!#and i think that made him really happy and brought us closer because he felt safe because he knew he was respected as a human being #that stays in my head a lot. i want him to never ever feel how i did as a child. he is such a cool kid :)

Do u know any wikis that have up to date cards for all the twst characters-

Asking specifically bc of Malleus cause I can't tell anymore if he has any more new cards bc HE DOESN'T EVEN HAVE A 100 DISNEY ANIVERSARY CARD IN THE WIKI I USE 😭

Like compared to everyone else in Disanomia, he has 12 cards (in the wiki I use) and then Lilia has 17 cards 💀

Cause I think Malleus has a Bean's Day card as well, but that could just be a fanmade one, I don't have JP twst nor ENG twst anymore so I can't confirm it myself urhghrhevw 🫠

Malleus doesn't have a Beans Day card, so that would've been fanmade! and the 100 anniversary cards are actually the new round of birthday cards, so most of the characters don't have 'em yet -- Malleus should be getting his in a couple of days, when his birthday event starts! oh god my keeeeeys

I think the wiki.gg stays pretty up to date? it looks to me like they have everything that's currently up through JP, at least. :O I did go through and do a quick count just because I couldn't believe Malleus only had 12 cards, but. he really does have the least...defeated only by Silver with 13...astonishing. we need his gargoyle club wear immediately.

Going to get into the habit of carrying my journal everywhere w me bc I truly want to soak up every snapshot of this transitional period where I’m just a 22 year old girl finding my footing and the only thing I’m tied to are the decisions I make and the path I carve for myself

#No friends no family no bf no professor no nobody pressuring me to make choices #Just me and my whims for this short period of time before I matriculate and everything becomes regimented and I’m following someone else’s #Plan again #I don’t plan to be aimless bc a lot of plans are set in place for this in between time period and I only intend to iron them out w time #But this truly is the freest I think I’ll ever be and to be scared of that is insane #Accepting advice and acknowledging expertise are important but ultimately I will make the decisions at the end of the day #And that is so exciting and truly the most freedom I’ve had #Like not answering to anyone but myself now is a dream come true
