How I became The Desk of Alto Clef.

My response to a SCP Group designed around Hate and Bigotry who have targeted me and others in this community.

Nah, man, my daughter is dead.

It has been brought to my attention that there is a group of people on the internet who are fascinated with my fascination of Alto Clef and Meri. Hurtful and yet cute in a way so I think now I'll choose this time and these screen grabs from their discord to explain how I came to be 'The Desk of Alto Clef'.

My Daughter died six years ago and it sent me spiraling deep into the bottom of whatever bottle I could find.

I was completely prepared to take my own life and even had the things to 'finish the job' because my life had no meaning at that point. What was another statistic going to matter anyways, right?

It was in one of these dark, drunk moments with a gun when I fell across the Volgun's video on 'reality benders and you' and fell into a rabbit hole.

Drunkenly I fumbled around the wiki and learned more about this broken man known as Alto Clef.

A man whom I could relate to in my own way. A man who, no matter what he did, could never see his daughter as I will never be able to see mine. So thus, I became a very, very shitty cosplayer.

I like to believe that over the past four years my acting ability has increased to a sustainable level and as much as I joke about things I do try to stay humble about it. Though I like to think I've become better but I digress.

I love the lore of Clef and Meri, on or offsite, to the point that I am weird about it I know, but that's how I stay connected to my daughter. Writing the Deskverse is how I stay connected to my daughter.

I am also autistic which causes me to hyper fixate on Clef as a coping mechanism.

Because of this group of people I have greatly considered leaving the community and going back to my own personal solitude. Acting, Voice Acting, Cosplaying as Clef gave and still gives me something to live for again. I may not be this group's cup of tea but I do like to believe that I have helped others. My main goal has always been to uplift those who need uplifting. I do not want anyone to ever feel how I felt in my lowest and darkest moments.

The main story in the deskverse is about a father and a daughter torn apart by the actions of an abusive mother. My real life story.

I also have ZERO clue as to why I am being involved with misogyny or yuri things. If I have offended you in any way I do apologize.

I do not plan on posting the more 'suggestive' or 'lewd' responses they have made. Overly sexualized content does make me extremely uncomfortable.

This group of people have broken my heart into pieces. Seeing this list of images and names dragging me through the mud has already smashed my unstable self-esteem as it is.

At this time I do not plan on releasing any names associated with all of this because I am honestly tired of reliving the most horrid event of my life over and over because I, for whatever reason, do not fit what this group feels is acceptable of an actor/writer/fan.

I cannot say the same for the others in which they were assaulting.

In summary Alto Clef is an outlet for the pain I live with every day. I can never see, hold, hear, smell, or speak to my daughter. I have scars on my body from her mother that will never allow me to forget that life I had. I will always remember the taste of gunpowder but thankfully my drunk ass was too weak. If your going to be bad at something, be bad at that I suppose.

I will leave all of this with a final image from the copious list and the one that honestly hurts me the most. I am honestly a shy and reserved person and frankly it takes a lot for me to get out of my comfort zone. Not long ago I went to another SCP discord server because I wanted to meet new people and someone in there was awesome. I truly enjoyed my time with this person and just found them amazing. They were kind, open, willing to listen to my ideas, and gushed over Numberonedoggo. I thought I had finally made a new friend on my own. I was apparently wrong.

Art, from some of my favorite artists, was made for the sole reason of mocking me specifically. To laugh at me for finding joy in something that gives me purpose. Something I use to drive away the darkness.

No age, disorder, illness, or reason at all can be acceptable for anyone to act in this way. You are all a mockery of everything the SCP community should stand for.

when someone dropped that essay long ago talking about how dsmp's canon is as concrete and loose as the scp foundation's is, i feel like it kind of helps provide a basis on how you can interact with conflicting or lost plotlines. like, just because tommy stated the nuke ending wasn't canon, i do think there's still merit in understanding those characters through that ending. same with whether or not you think the server restart theory is canon or not. at the end of the day no one person really owns the dsmp, neither fans nor content creators, so everyone's gonna choose what storyline fits well to what they want. everything and nothing is canon, go have yer fun picking what's yours.

Bit of a ramble below

Well it certainly has been a year, huh? Never in my wildest fuckin dreams would I have imagined I get here. But a little over a year of drawing whatever the hell I want, joining wayy too many scp discord servers, and surviving through several fandom dramas later, here I am

There were several points in the year where we broke down and thought we wouldn't still be here, but the comnections and friends Ive made here and quite literally been the thing keeping us going. We've found 2 wonderful qpps, and have survived our hellish ex with our partner, and without them honestly I dunno where'd Id be today. They keep me grounded emotionally, while creatively my heads in the sky. Hugging all three of you tight and sobbing

And as for the rest of yall, my friends, my mutuals, my oomfies, the people I occasionally see in my notes- just know everytime I talk to you, or recognize a name on my dash or in the tags, or see yalls art, it makes me incredibly happy. I know this fandom can be weird or toxic or ridden through with drama, but honestly this little corner I managed to carve out for myself is pretty nice. Its peaceful. If theres anymore big names that take a downfall then those that found refuge in their art and are frazzled are more than welcome here. Come, sit down on a pillow, we have hot cocoa and tea

And while I do plan on branching out more and posting for other fandoms, like TMA, just know Im not leaving this one anytime soon. It has quite literally changed my brain chemistry and we haven't been in a community quite like this one before, where the lines between author and fan blur pretty heavily. Its by the fans for the fans, and I think that's awesome. Im somehow friends with several big names in the community, and while I dont really consider myself one (at least yet), I hope that I can bring as much joy to as much people as they have been in the upcoming time Ill be here

So yeah, thank yall for everything and all the support and just finding joy in the things I do, it makes me estactic to know that just popping up on someones dash or drawing another persons oc or designs can make their day

haven't been drawing much, been sick again and irl stuff stressing me out haha. Can't catch a break. But I was talking with friends from the scp fandom the other day on discord, rememorating about some old concepts we had going on in servers that no longer exist and decided to redraw a "fan child" concept. Just for fun She's an asshole to most everyone else, which means almost nobody is safe. She wasn't allowed to "socialize" with the other "kids" for a reason and that is that. she made 1 "friend", corrupted their memory so badly that she left them catatonic(and neutralized their anomalous effects as well in the process) just cause she felt like it, then got her ass put in Keter containment just like 106 lol. She got the old man's personality and malice with the intelligence of 079 only creatures immune to her anomalous effects are safe around her(she's physically not that strong, although she is much faster than 106, although her movements glitch out sometimes)

what's your favorite game you've played recently?

If you're just talking about games that I started playing recently, Nubby's Number Factory. I love the artstyle, and it makes my brain feel good when the number goes up!

As for games I've been playing recently in general, I've been playing Fallout New Vegas a lot! I started Lonesome Road on my current playthrough earlier, though I took a break to do some base-game quests. I also have a second playthrough going on on my PS3 as well, though I haven't really been playing that much. Also if you want to play New Vegas, considering pirating it, because fuck Microsoft.

Hounourable mentions for both categories:

ENA Dream BBQ is amazing, but it's only one chapter at the moment, and while I'm far from having experienced everything, I have got both endings and both main routes. If you play it, I recommend checking out the ENA web series first, as there are some references and call-backs to that in Dream BBQ. Also the Wanderers' "egg in the womb" line is apparently a reference to a song, it's almost certainly not a hint at ENA's tragic backstory, please stop reading into every little detail oh my god, like it's not that deep, that's "Chell is Caroline's daughter" levels of reading into details where there are none

Hakita (yes, that Hakita) did a post on Bluesky a month or two ago recommending the game Metal Garden, and. It's pretty good, though I suck at it. It's very early-to-mid 2000s (the pistol reminds me of the one from Red Faction, the artstyle feels very Source Engine, and the character models are appropriately crunchy), and it also has a limb damage system a bit like the 3D Fallout games and Deus Ex, but with more interesting consequences (e.g head injuries removing your crosshair). It's also apparently quite short (I haven't finished it yet).

Trepang2 is a first-person shooter about dude who can turn invisible and do bullet-time, going to various cool locations and killing other dudes. Also there are squad mechanics sometimes! I haven't played FEAR (though I have watched Civvie 11's video on it), but apparently it's a spiritual successor to that, but inspired by SCP Foundation. And unlike most other SCP-inspired games I know of, the anomalous artifact collecting organisation (here called "Horizon") are the antagonists, with their facilities disguised as more innocuous locations, plastered with cheesy corporate messaging. Also the shotgun is really satisfying, especially if you upgrade it with a silencer. It is difficult though, so be warned. Also massive content warnings for violence and body-horror. Oh, and Mothman's in there, which isn't a spoiler since A. it's on the game's Steam banner, and B. it's literally the climax of the first non-tutorial level.

If you're feeling a bit old-school, Summoner is pretty good! It's a fantasy RPG from 2000, and was made by Volition of all developers (they made the Saints Row and Red Faction games, which I like most of, and also Descent, which I haven't played). Be warned, however, that it's also very difficult (I'm only on the second main area and I keep dying), and also requires a fan-patch to run in a decent resolution (and doing so can sometimes break the game's menus; I just run it with the default resolution and ignore it). But if you get past those, it's a pretty fun and interesting "weird fantasy" thing, with some neat lore concepts! Also there's a combat system that's apparently really in-depth and involves chaining different abilities together, but also you can just go into the settings and set it to automatic, and according to someone in a Discord server I'm in, doing it properly is very difficult.

Lastly, while I haven't played it in nearly a week, uhhhh if you have a VR headset and like when the gun goes bang but don't want to/can't go to a real firing range, check out Hot Dogs, Horseshoes and Hand Grenades, or H3VR for short. It's fun, it's a bit silly, it's stupidly in-depth, and it also has a bunch of original TF2 weapons in it (including things like a burst-fire gyrojet for Soldier, a double-barrel anti-aircraft minigun for Heavy, and a rivet-gun for Engineer, plus full-length versions of the Shotgun and Scattergun) as part of an official crossover! Also a fun roguelike gamemode called "Take & Hold", which allows you to mess with a bunch of modifiers to increase or decrease the difficulty, as well as alternate playable characters who each have a specific category of gun associated with them.

Ah, I see you are familiar with the events of the RE:SPH/Susie ARG that happened during the holiday season of last year!

Sadly, no, he is not. As this is not the Central Canon Continuum, things are slightly different. In this timeline, I failed in stopping Dr. Andonuts' three Guilts during the Christmas Comeback Crisis Side Story, "Cognitive Dissonance", and...well...he killed himself in front of me.

He...he grabbed a shotgun...aimed it at his own head, and...well, you can probably guess what happened from there.

Susie...can I have a hug?

(Susie embraces Joke-Explainer and begins stroking her hair to calm her down, as JE begins crying motor oil [as she's a robot].)

Not anymore. After Andonuts...well, did what he did, I left the SiIvaGunner channel in Susie's hands. She's been taking good care of it.

She's been doing a better job than I ever could.

Wait, if Andonuts is...well, gone, then did the events that he ran in the Central Canon Continuum happen?

Actually, yes, they did! It's just that Andonuts wasn't the one who started them to begin with. I was actually really excited when Susie told me about "Project: SiIva-ception", which was her name for the April Fool's Day event that happened earlier this month that involved games from fictional universes, or "games within games", as she put it.

SCP-2747 showing up the way it did was completely unplanned, but thankfully Susie figured out how to make sure it didn't take control of the SiIvaGunner channel by trapping it in a neverending loop of nested media, using Sam Hogan's "Game inside a Game inside a Game" as a cover for it.

I was quite proud of that trap, to be honest. It was completely spur-of-the-moment.

The Joke™: Noaka is a cuboid figment based off a bunch of garbage text that an AI image-to-video generator made using an image of the 9+10=21 meme. It had the now-infamous garbage text "What ae Noaka?" in it. The NOAKA folder was never meant to be solved, but the madlads in the SiIvaGunner Discord server managed to pull off a miracle and solved it anyways.

Noaka may pop in from time to time. He does that.

So...are the other branches different as well?

BLACK, AIRTH, PAINT and GRAND will remain unchanged, but FOOLS and MAXPH will be changed.

As I've already stated, the end of the MAXPH branch will be quite different for reasons I'd rather not get into. However, the FOOLS branch is different for a seperate reason: it now contains things pertaining to Project: SiIva-ception (this year's April Fool's Day event). Before it only had up to April Fool's Day 2024, whereas now it's completely up-to-date.

I made an SCP Server

I specifically wanted a discord where I could hold friends and ping/discuss fics together with other people.

I unfortunately do not want to get involved with drama or issues so to resolve this bit I had careful conversations with others to determine the best course of action, and took it.

Some server Features:

One of my more long term goals is to include more SCP 963 rewrites into the group, though my one requirement is they follow a majority of Daisy's list on rewriting SCP 963. If this were to happen, then I could include pings for discussing the rewrites or for fanart/etc. (please don't use bright in my server)
